For their fourth release, Australian label Lunatic Music welcomes Chris Stoker (UK) and Jamie Blanco (UK born, AUS based) to the fray for a dubbed out analogue synth workout that is indisputably Ess O Ess.
Fusion unfolds in Simply Nothing. Analogue synths intertwine with exquisitely programmed percussion and George Humes' chorus-drenched, draped in a veil of spectral vocals by Sarah-May Brown. The result is a retro-futuristic sonic whirlpool that is as memorable as it is delicate.
A waterfall forms in The Lotus & The Banksman. An otherworldly mutant breakbeat techno floor filler. Ethereal pads and dubby textures ripple across the surface whilst the resonant bassline churns below. Kalipo kündigt sein fünftes Solo-Album mit Titelsong ‚Alles' auf Iptamenos Discos an!

Der in Berlin-ansässige Multinstrumentalist Jakob Häglsperger ist seit fast zwei Jahrzehnten einer der umtriebigsten deutschen Produzenten. Neben unzähligen Hits, sechs Alben mit seiner Band Frittenbude und vier von der Presse gefeierten Solo-Alben als Kalipo gründete er nebenbei 2020 - gemeinsam mit Local Suicide - die Band Dina Summer, ein weiteres Nebenprojekt welches seit dem international Wellen macht.

Mit über 30 Millionen Streams und weltweitem Radio-Airplay, verbindet sein Soloprojekt elektronische Intensität mit emotionaler Tiefe irgendwo zwischen Clubkultur und Indie-Ästhetik. Geradlinige, treibende, im Krautrock verwurzelte Beats treffen auf markante, von Electroclash, House und Techno der 2000er und 2010er Jahre inspirierte Melodien.

Kicked in the Teeth relies primarily on rip-roaring punk rock & roll guitar riffs and hardcore drum beats, the entire LP slashing by like a Japanese street bike on a rain-soaked highway -- blink your eye, and it's passed. Zeke does one thing, and that one thing they do very very well - incredibly fast, out of control punk rock & roll, executed with exceptional lead guitar work. There are, however, some slower-paced tunes on Kicked In the Teeth - after all, Zeke is not the typical snotty American punk or hardcore act -- and they are performed well. For example, the amped-up cover of Kiss' "Shout It Out Loud".

Kicked In The Teeth is available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on red & black marble vinyl and includes an insert.

Originally released in 1978, "But Not for Me" is a masterpiece that fuses African polyrhythms with spiritual jazz, created by the singular jazz pianist Masabumi Kikuchi. The album is now set to be reissued by "Spin This Now!".

Distorted, menacing bass lines, unruly oscillators, and Albini running endlessly up and down the stairs between the basement drum room and the pantry control room defined a sound that was brutally direct and uncompromising. The first interactions with the Yamaha drum machine foreshadowed elements that would later shape parts of the album. Those sessions sparked essential ideas, while the future studio - purchased from Steve and moved to Wabash Ave - would soon become the core of Invisible Records and Killing Joke"s operations. On the other side, a truly rare document: excerpts from Atkins"s very first show with the band, at Burberries in Birmingham on December 20th, 1988. In a small, mirror-lined club filled with tension, adrenaline, and inevitable collisions with the walls, Extremities, The Fanatic, Intravenous, and The Beautiful Dead were performed publicly for the first time. Turma da Bênção – A Semba Gathering Across Generations

Conjunto Angola 70 & Paulo Flores

The Turma da Bênção project brings together Conjunto Angola 70, a collective dedicated to recreating and preserving the golden-era sound of Angolan music from the 1970s, and Paulo Flores, one of the most important ambassadors of semba worldwide and one of the creators of kizomba. Throughout his career, Flores has built bridges between tradition and modernity, helping shape the global understanding of contemporary Angolan music.

Recorded in Lisbon in 2018 in an intimate “roda de semba” setting, informal jam sessions rooted in collective rhythm and storytelling, Turma da Bênção gathers legendary musicians such as Botto Trindade (guitar), Joãozinho Morgado (congas) and Teddy N’Singui (guitar); mid-generation artists including Galiano Neto (percussion), Paulo Flores (vocals and artistic direction) and Pirika Duia (viola); and younger creators such as Mayo Bass (bass), Jéssica Pina (trumpet) and Armando Gobliss (keys).

The result is a powerful dialogue between eras. Classic Angolan repertoire meets new compositions, all deeply rooted in semba — the rhythmic and poetic foundation from which kizomba later emerged.

The album revisits emblematic songs such as Runfo da Liberdade, Memórias de Gui and Lamento de Duia, while introducing new works including Morgadinho, Catuta 45, Boas Festas Conterrâ and Réveillon, the latter awarded Semba of the Year at the Angola Music Awards in 2020.

Before this LP, Keep On Pushin Records released the singles Turma da Bênção presents: Joãozinho Morgado and Turma da Bênção presents: Botto Trindade, building anticipation for what now becomes the label’s first full-length vinyl release.

Issued on vinyl in the year Angola celebrates 50 years of Independence, Turma da Bênção stands as a symbolic statement, honoring the elders, empowering the present generation, and ensuring that the pulse of semba continues to resonate across borders.
