Transparent rotes Vinyl. Weihnachtslieder gibt es viele. Die meisten sind weichgespült und kitschig und verfolgen die geplagten Eltern häufig noch als unangenehmer Ohrwurm, wenn Lametta und Kugel längst wieder im Keller verstaut sind. Und wer sagt eigentlich, dass Kinder auf seichtes Gedudel stehen? Niemand! Und genau deshalb ist es gut, dass es die Band "Randale" gibt. Die vier Musiker Jochen Vahle, Christian Keller, Garrelt Riepelmeier und Marc Jürgen machen Rockmusik für Kinder. Manchmal laut und krachig, manchmal nachdenklich und leise, aber mit einem Augenzwinkern und viel Witz. Jetzt legen die Bielefelder mit ihrer wiederveröffentlichten CD ein ganz spezielles Weihnachts- Album vor: 10 Songs, die in bewährter Randale-Manier auf die besondere Zeit einstimmen. Und das heißt: Als Country-, Reggae-, Rock- oder Punkversion. 6 Titel stammen von der original CD von 2006. "Harald und Peter feiern Weihnachten" sowie "Jeder kann helfen" sind brandneu. "Der Kuckuck und der Esel" streiten nicht über die schönste Stimme, sondern über den schönsten Baum. Und die "Affendisco" verwandelt sich in die "Weihnachtsdisco". Die Fangruppe wächst und wächst. Fazit: Dieses Album gehört nicht unter den Baum. Es sollte spätestens zu Nikolaus in der Tüte beziehungsweise im Strumpf stecken! Und was wünscht sich die Band? "Dass die CD zusammen mit dem Christbaumschmuck sicher verstaut wird und damit auch in den nächsten Jahren zum festen Bestandteil des Festes wird!"

Clear/Blue marbled Vinyl. Irgendwo zwischen altem Seemannsgarn, dichtem Zigarettendunst und tiefsitzender emotionaler Zwiespältigkeit haben Romans Nailed It ihren ganz eigenen, dreckigen akustischen Cocktail gemixt. Das Singer-Songwriter-Punk-Duo startete 2022 und veröffentlicht nun sein Debütalbum "In Need of Romance Intervention_". In den Texten geht es um den ungeschönten Alltag, das Jonglieren mit den eigenen Baustellen und die ewige Suche nach einem Funken Sinn - irgendwo zwischen emotionalem Chaos, Rückschlägen und dem Drang, trotzdem jeden Tag aufs Neue aufzustehen und weiterzumachen.

Sa Pa launches Dub Techno For Life: a dedicated outlet for the artist’s more dancefloor-focused material - work that has largely sat outside the conceptual frame of his previous releases.

The label’s first release, Girls on Tour EP, opens with “Mokira Ultra Dub”, a 10-minute club rework of Mokira classic “Manipulation Musik”. Originally produced alongside an ambient version commissioned for Kontra Musik’s 2016 Kontra X compilation, the dancefloor mix was ultimately shelved until now. With Andreas ‘Mokira’ Tilliander’s blessing, it finally surfaces as a standalone Sa Pa production. A track too banging to go unreleased.

“Waiting For You” traces back to Sa Pa’s orbit around the giegling ecosystem via FORUM. Once lined up for an official release on the parent label before plans stalled, the track slipped into the archives. Buoyant and disarmingly pop by Sa Pa standards, it finds its place here as the A2 - tuned to the collective memory of mid-2010s German house music.

Harnessing the spirit of Chain Reaction from the abandoned patches and borrowed machines of a rainy night’s recording in Taipei, the B-side’s “Modular System” captures a late-night, one-take modular jam. A broken yet hopeful “World Saving Banger” closes the EP with some raw and IDM-leaning force, showcasing Sa Pa’s new label - and the Girls On Tour EP - as a space for neo dub techno ideals to take shape.

Der außergewöhnlich originelle Saxofonist, Flötist und Komponist Sam Rivers war in Oklahoma mit Gospelmusik aufgewachsen. Über den Blues fand er in den 1940er Jahren zum Bebop, bevor er sich, inspiriert
durch die Musik von Ornette Coleman, John Coltrane und Cecil Taylor, der Avantgarde zuwandte. Zwischen 1964 und 1967 spielte Rivers vier Alben für Blue Note ein, auf denen er seinen Ideenreichtum als
Instrumentalist und Komponist unter Beweis stellte. Das letzte und zugleich experimentierfreudigste dieser
Alben war “Dimensions & Extensions”, auf dem der Trompeter Donald Byrd als Gast einen seiner seltenen
Ausflüge in die Avantgarde unternahm. Obwohl das Album bereits 1967 mit einem von Reid Miles entworfenen, auffälligen Cover für die Veröffentlichung vorbereitet worden war, wurde es, da die Musik ihrer Zeit
zu weit voraus war, auf Eis gelegt und erschien erstmals 1986.

Sam Tompkins kehrt mit seinem zweiten Album ARE WE GONNA SING? zurück. Die 12 Tracks zeigen
ihn von seiner bisher ehrlichsten und persönlichsten Seite.
Entstanden in seiner Heimatstadt Eastbourne und produziert mit Manta, Humble the Great, HARGS
und Mac Jamieson, verbindet das Album emotionales Storytelling mit rohem, authentischem Songwriting.
Thematisch bewegt es sich zwischen Nostalgie, Freundschaft, Liebe und Selbstfindung.

Euronymous’ Deathlike Silence Productions in 1993, & with each subsequent release, Sigh grew to become one of the country’s greatest & most revered metal exports. With a journey through the strange & the psychedelic, incorporating a whole eclectic mix of genre styles & experimentation throughout their career, Sigh has remained a vital creative force in the avantgarde field whilst maintaining their old school roots, as witnessed with the stellar 2022 album, ‘Shiki’. 2025 also saw Sigh remaking their ‘Hangman’s Hymn’ album for a release on Peaceville as part of the band’s 35th anniversary celebrations, in the shape of ‘I Saw The World’s End: Hangman’s Hymn MMXXV’.

With the ongoing early line-up of Mirai Kawashima, Shinichi Ishikawa, & Satoshi Fujinami, ‘Scenario IV: Dread Dreams’ was the band’s fourth studio album, originally surfacing in 1999. This was also notably the final title in partnership with Sigh’s then-label, Cacophonous Records. Delving evermore into the experimental side of music to conjure an interlinked gallery of twisted soundscapes; ‘Dread Dreams’ became more of a journey into the realm of psychedelia & rock over black metal, with this Zappa-inspired odyssey acting as somewhat of a direct pre-cursor to what was to follow with the celebrated ‘Imaginary Sonicscape’ opus.

‘Dread Dreams’ was once more recorded at Shinjuku On Air Studio with J. Yamada, with a selection of guests including Damian Montgomery of Ritual Carnage lending lyrics plus guest vocals, along with King Fowley (Deceased), & Killjoy (Necrophagia) supplying additional song lyrics. Cover art came courtesy of renowned artist Joe Petagno (Motörhead, Autopsy).

Continuing with Peaceville’s re-issues of Sigh’s classic works, this edition of ‘Dread Dreams’ contains a new master created by Patrick Engel at Temple of Disharmony.

The release also includes a new interview with main-man Mirai Kawashima conducted by Dayal Patterson of Cult Never Dies, with his thoughts, influences & reflections on the album & its challenges.

Das zweite Studioalbum der amerikanischen Post-Hardcore-Band – ursprünglich im Mai 2011 veröffentlicht
– erscheint nun als Neuauflage auf schwarzem Eco-Vinyl. Die Aufnahmen fanden bei Interlace Audio in
Portland, Oregon, statt. Produziert wurden die Sessions gemeinsam von Kris Crummett (der auch als

Mit dem Re-Release von Solexs "Low Kick and Hard Bop" feiert Matador das 25-jährige Jubiläum . Das Album kehrt in einer neuen sowie erweiterten Fassung mit dem verschollenen geglaubten Titel "Mr. Crockpot" erstmals auf Vinyl zurück. Das 2001 veröffentlichte Album war das dritte Werk der in Amsterdam lebenden Songwriterin und ehemaligen Plattenladenbesitzerin Elisabeth Esselink. Hier kam ihr samplerbasierter, auf Found Sounds setzender retro-futuristischer Stil voll zur Geltung, mit Hooks, die aus verstaubten Schallplatten, Fernsehen, Radio und Straßenlärm stammten. Eine Generation später bleibt "Low Kick" ein überschwängliches Werk des retro-futuristischen Pop - vielschichtige Breaks, die sich mit bluesigen Riffs, Girl-Group-Grooves und surrealistischer Selbstsicherheit abwechseln. Damals bezeichnete The Wire es als "eine schwindelerregende Vielfalt an Elementen und Überschwang", und wir wagen es, euch zu widersprechen. "Elisabeth Esselink von Solex entführt euch in ihre dadaistische, aus Schnitten, Collagen und Faltungen bestehende Klang-Tanzparty", schreibt Matador-Gründer Chris Lombardi. "Sie rekonstruiert eine Million Klang- und Stilfragmente zu einem kaleidoskopischen musikalischen Meisterwerk." Da die CD das dominierende physische Format jener Ära war, kam Matador nie dazu, "Low Kick" auf Vinyl zu veröffentlichen. Der frischgebackene High-School-Abgänger Sonny Rollins war noch keine 19 Jahre alt, als er 1949 in
New York von Blue Note Records die Chance erhielt, an drei hochkarätigen Aufnahmesessions von Babs
Gonzalez, Bud Powell und Fats Navarro teilzunehmen. Sieben Jahre später kehrte er deutlich gereift zu
dem Label zurück, um vier großartige Alben als Bandleader aufzunehmen: “Sonny Rollins, Volume 1”,
“Sonny Rollins, Vol. 2”, “Newk’s Time” und “A Night at the ‘Village Vanguard’”. Auf “Sonny Rollins,
Vol. 2” präsentierte er sich mit einem erstklassig besetzten Quintett und einem temperamentvollen Set aus
teils selbst komponierten Bebop- und Hard-Bop-Nummern. Die Höhepunkte des Albums sind die unwiderstehlichen Versionen der beiden Thelonious-Monk-Klassiker “Misterioso” und “Reflections”, bei denen sich
der Komponist als Gast am Klavier zu den Mitwirkenden gesellte.

Zur Feier des 25-jährigen Jubiläums von Stainds Klassiker-Album *Break The Cycle* veröffentlicht die
Band *Break The Cycle 25th Anniversary* – eine Live-Aufnahme, bei der die Band das legendäre Album in
voller Länge spielt. Die Performance umfasst jeden Song des Albums, einschließlich der klassischen Singles
„It’s Been A While“, „Outside“ und „Fade“.

Phase I marks the recorded debut of Supereon , a Norwegian trio formed in August 2024 and rooted in the ever- evolving Scandinavian jazz scene. Consisting of Alexander Hoholm on double bass, Martin Gjerde on piano, and Raymond Lavik on drums, the ensemble brings together three distinct musical voices in a collective pursuit of sound, texture, and rhythmic interplay. Recorded in June 2025 at Studio Martin in Roros, the album was produced by Hoholm in close collaboration with David Aleksander Sjolie .

The result is a recording that captures both clarity and immediacy, allowing the trio's intricate interplay to unfold with a natural sense of space and depth. At the core of Phase I lies a process rather than a set of compositions. The music is entirely improvised, shaped in real time from short rhythmic ideas that serve as points of departure. From these concise impulses, the trio develops expansive sonic landscapes where repetition, variation, and subtle transformation create a sense of forward motion. Drawing on influences ranging from the minimalism of Steve Reich to the textural sensitivity of Nils Frahm and Olafur Arnalds, Supereon crafts a sound that is at once rhythmic, meditative, and hypnotic. As its title suggests, the album stands as the first chapter in an ongoing journey - one that will continue to unfold in future phases.

Originally released in Jamaica in 1968 as The Actions and in the UK as The Lyrics (and sometimes known as The Splendors!), whichever way you look at it this a superb slice of rare rocksteady complete with the addictively catchy tune by the all-girl group The Tonettes on the flip.

Oliver Baroni, stand-up bassist and Hillbilly Moon Explosion co-vocalist has a new side-project with a flexible group of musicians, under the moniker The Baroni Blow-Up. In keeping with the Englishman"s worldwide rock"n"roll viewpoint from his base in Switzerland, it"s an international affair. The band-members are American, though two were found in London. Guitarist Andy Kandil, a session favourite and veteran of psychobilly legends Mad Sin amongst others, and drummer Tuck Nelson, who also co-engineered recordings in his London Echo Ray Studio. On vocals is Shy But Flyy, the celebrated blues and jazz singer from Long Beach, CA. The A-side song "I Wanna" is an obscure punk song original by Berlin band Hot Boogie Chillun; the flip "Free" is a Shy But Flyy original. The single"s artwork originated in Spain.

Purple Vinyl, inkl. Poster. The Black Wizards, das in Porto beheimatete Trio bestehend aus Joana Brito (Gitarre/Gesang), José Gomes (Bass/Gesang) und Helena Peixoto (Schlagzeug), kündigt sein neues Album ,Force Majeure & The Acts of God" an, das am 4. September über Hassle Records erscheinen wird. Force Majeure & The Acts of God ist von einem dunklen Humor geprägt. Der Titel bezieht sich auf den juristischen Begriff für unkontrollierbare oder nicht beeinflussbare Umstände und spiegelt damit das Chaos wider, das die Entstehung des Albums begleitet hat. Gleichzeitig deutet er auf den verschmitzten, widerständigen Geist der Band hin.Das Album entstand in einer Zeit, in der politische Landschaften weltweit zunehmend ins Chaos abzugleiten schienen. Es kanalisiert Frustration und Dringlichkeit, ohne dabei in Hoffnungslosigkeit zu verfallen. Für die Texte ließ sich Frontfrau Joana Brito von Büchern über Politik, Geschlechterrollen und toxische Männlichkeit inspirieren. Diese Themen finden sich in Songs wieder, die sich kritisch mit leerer Führung und gesellschaftlicher Spaltung auseinandersetzen. Besonders ,Killing The Buzz" durchschneidet das politische Spektakel mit scharfem Humor und energiegeladenem Punk-Spirit. Musikalisch markiert Force Majeure & The Acts of God einen deutlichen Wendepunkt für die Band. Anstatt den ausufernden Klangnebeln ihres früheren Heavy-Psych-Sounds zu folgen, setzen The Black Wizards nun auf einen kompakteren, raueren und direkteren Ansatz. Das Album vereint die Attitüde des Garage Rock, die nervöse Spannung des Proto-Punk und einen unaufhaltsamen rhythmischen Antrieb. Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?“, machten The Cranberries Halt im historischen Londoner Astoria II. Nun

One year earlier, 50 years ago this December, THE HEARTBREAKERS arrived in London to join the Sex Pistols on the "Anarchy" tour. They spent most of 1977 there, recording "L.A.M.F." and cementing their status as elder statesmen of the punk movement. This last date of their 1977 European tour was to be their very last as a band - until the reunions. Drummer Jerry Nolan had already jumped ship; his substitute is The Clash"s Terry Chimes. The gig was filmed for a movie that was never to be - this is the soundtrack recording.

The album finds the legendary British metal act returning to a heavier and more aggressive sound while retaining the melodic identity that has defined the band throughout its celebrated career. ""The heavier, the better" that was our mantra throughout the writing and recording of "Electrifyed"", singer Jack Meille comments about the writing process of the record. "We wanted to rediscover the pleasure of being driven by the powerful force of a heavy riff without losing that melodic touch all great Tygers songs have". Written with a clear artistic vision from the outset, "Electrifyed" draws inspiration from the raw energy of the band's early years, particularly their landmark debut album "Wild Cat", while showcasing the chemistry and creativity of the current line-up. The result is a collection of songs built around powerful riffs, memorable melodies and a renewed commitment to the heavy metal traditions the band helped establish. The album also introduces guitarist John Footitt on record for the first time. Joining founding member Robb Weir, Jack Meille, drummer Craig Ellis and bassist Huw Holding, Footitts guitar skills fit the album's muscular and contemporary sound. To achieve the sonic impact envisioned by the band, Tygers of Pan Tang worked closely with producer and musician Marco Angioni, a longtime friend and collaborator who helped translate the group's ambitions into a cohesive and powerful final product.
