Invisible, Inc. again turn to the mystic sounds of the 'fourth world' for their latest release by bringing cosmic voyager Peter Power into the fold.

Previously only available digitally 'Awake Into Life' by 'Peter Power & Friends' finally comes out on vinyl courtesy of the like-minded Invisible Inc. Alongside Peter himself, the 'friends' are a band of well known and not-so-well known collaborators from around the world: Australia's Bronze Savage (Aficionado Recordings) and Brazil's Psilosamples (Desmonta/Octave) to name just two. The resulting mystical brew is meditative, hypnotic and indeed deeply psychedelic.....and most certainly well worthy of seeing the light of day as a physical release.

Originally hailing from the emerald isle of Ireland and settling for a while in Berlin, Peter Power now resides in Bahia, Brazil close to where the world famous and free-wheeling Voodoohop collective sprung its roots on the streets and clubs of Sao Paolo. Peter has been a continuing member of the Voodoohop crew for a couple of years and has toured with them extensively as both musician and performer. Respected as a DJ and a producer his unique world-flavoured brand of electronic music has been released on Multi Culti, Kleine Reise, Crime City, Polychrome Sounds and now Invisible, Inc.

His DJ mixes are eclectic, far reaching, transcendent and at times even ritualistic, infused with a deep, dream-like spirituality which has resulted in him acquiring tens of thousands of followers from around the world all avidly keeping an ear out for his unique slant on the 'DJ mix'. Peter gets mixes requested from him on a regular basis whether they be 'in-house' podcasts for Multi Culti and Voodoohop to fanzines such as Urban Cosmonaut and labels like Pingipung in Germany.

Benjamin Ball's "Flash A Flashlight" is the first preview of the next Cultures of Soul compilation, Boogie Breakdown -South African Disco 1980 to 1984. WIth the help of DJ Okapi, Cultures of Soul has tracked down many of the great synth boogie artists of the 80s in South Africa including Benjamin Ball, Don Laka, Al Etto, Neville Nash, Harari, and many others. Benjamin Ball's "Flash A Flashlight" came out just after Brenda & The Big Dudes' massive hit "Weekend." Ball's unique reggae-tinged synth boogie was nearly as big and became the second bubble gum anthem of the era. Highly respected house DJ/producer and co-founder of the Running Back label, Gerd Janson gives us two nice edits of "Flash A Flashlight." Gerd provides two funked up rerubs of the track, one with vocals and one without. Licensed directly from the artist and housed in a custom disco sleeve these edits won't be available on the compilation.

Octo Champ releases his second EP of 2017, following up on Not Quite There Yet, which received major exposure from Thump and DJ Mag. This upfront four-track release is a selection of dance floor ready disco and house and sits boldly apart from a lot of other music within these genres. DJ support so far from Dan Shake and Titeknots amongst others. Taking inspiration from the more exotic corners of the musical spectrum the EP leads with the upbeat Make Heaven and its conga rhythms, vocal hooks and electronic patterns. CMI is slower and moves further into the groove whilst Lacuna is the EP's funkiest cut, featuring a killer bass hook, percussion, guitar chops, claps and more vocals to carry it along. Closing with a second four to the four track Diametric leads with an elastic, acoustic bassline, synth pads and you've guessed it: more vocal hooks.

Octo Champ is one-half of DJ/promoter duo Rigid Disco, running parties and radio shows across both London and Glasgow and booking rising stars such as Tom Blip, FYI Chris, Hector Plimmer and the Rye Wax crew.

Octo Champ has remixed Soundway's Flamingods and CHPLN as well as contributing to the CDR x Dimensions Sounds 2016 project. Most recently, his music was picked up by Let's Go Swimming who released the Not quite there yet EP.

In 2013, we released the debut album from The Beat Broker. It went down a storm with both the disco buying public and critics alike. Fast forward to 2017 and we are just as pleased to welcome the second album from the San Francisco resident. He is here to share his sunshine once more.

The Beat Broker or Ryan Bishop (to his buds) was born and raised in southern California. With early production partner Ryan Fitzgerald they recorded as Broker/Dealer and released on sought after labels like Spectral, Traum and Sentrall. They ran a longstanding club night in SF called POP so Ryan began to make edits, new productions and remixes to integrate into the night. Starting out with slower sleazy cosmic jams for the beginning of the night, then up tempo synthesizer crowd pleasers for the early morning. These productions found their way onto records via labels like Flexx, Disques Sinthomme and more recently Adult Contemporary. Ryan also runs a well respected blog called Dream Chimney.

Ryan returns with his trademark fusion sounds. Disco, meets emotional electronic meets early 80s electro meets contemporary synth groove. But, as ever, all presented with a sheen of positivity and optimism. The album opens up with the ponderous but solid "Night Drive", a track that surely describes itself too well. "Groove Glide" gets things swinging with its driving drum machine, darting synth and luxurious arp riff.

"Living On The Edge" is next. This summer filled track. Here Ryan partners with fellow Bay area resident and all around Sultan of Chill Sorcerer (aka Dan Judd). Its swooning synth and sun-drenched Sorcerer guitar all the way. Next is "Flexxibility". Here the synths get chunky and the beats bigger for this dance fest. "New Business" is angular and mysterious and "After Touch" is bold and powerful. "Mystic Moods" swings high and slick. The LP rounds off with the dreamy, laid back synthfest that is "Infinite Wave" and housey bonus beats of "Make Your Move"

Chromatics formed in the Pacific Northwest as a rickety no-wave band more than a decade ago, but re-emerged in the mid-2000s with a revamped lineup and a new sound that nicely coincided with a resurgence of interest in the slow, dreamy, not-always-Italian dance-pop subgenre known as Italo disco. As with other acts on New Jersey-based Italians Do It Better, a label co-founded by group mastermind Johnny Jewel, Chromatics didn't just incorporate the vocoders and vintage synth arpeggios of the turn-of-the-1980s originals, they added the brittle guitars, dubby reverb, and urban dread of post-punk.

Copenhagen based Music For Dreams release the debut album of Mackrory and Collier.
Nick Mackrory & Harry Collier's musical partnership dates all the way back to the 90's, when they were both deeply invested in the musical boom in the UK that followed acid house, the rave scene, and the Ibiza experience. Nick went from drumsticks to turntables to studio wizardry; while Harry honed in on his golden voice - which led him to a stint as a singer for Faithless. They found their way back to each other in 2014 and have since developed a sound together that is fresh but not too polished. With touches of 60's chanson coupled with sundazed electronics, their songs linger on like the feeling of a long day spent outdoors in summer.
This album collects their previously released singles for Music For Dreams along with exclusive new material and a number of remixes, edits and alternate versions that together form a mesmerizing listening experience.
The lazy guitar grooves and samba rhythms of "Tu Sonrisa" that so faithfully revisits the original sound of the White Isle in its hippie days, are here present on melancholic chansons like "The Other Side" and sleepy instrumentals such as "Inside You". They also prove a suitable framing on their cover of the Jimmy Webb-penned classic "Wichita Lineman".
But in contrast to their folky fuzzy side, we also get some rather funky explorations into balearic beat with a dub version of "Pen-A-Maen" that bubbles along on a heavy bassline and some wonderful synth strings. "Blue Bird" picks up the pace somewhere between the warm proto-house soul of Maze and the deep house meditations of Larry Heard, with Collier letting his scope as a singer come to full fruition in some rather trippy turns. Other highlights include the rather special version of the classic "Aranjuez" and a new string update of "Elle Dit".
On remix duties we get Music For Dreams labelmate 55 Cancri e, who sprinkles her dreamy night time dust all over "Elle Dit" and creates an astonishingly unified blend of their two musical universes. Also lending a hand to transform "Elle Dit" is veteran duo Seahawks, who gently layer it in their cosmic-aquatic color palette. Andi Hanley steps in to re-structure "Lucky Charm" into a jazz beat treat by numbers.

Found in a holiday home by the ocean, the table utensil that serves as a cover for this pop collection is a beach souvenir from another era that can not be clearly dated. The illustration depicts a pair of deckchairs in a naïve and cordial decoration: the perfect place to listen to his musical accompaniment, taking the form of a voyage to the crossroads and library music, the original French soundtracks of the 70's And a handmade electronic funk.
Blown by the air of time or diving suddenly, this collection of titles without age gives sunburns in winter, chills in summer and sows the Zizanie in the head of the one who tries to talk about it
We have concluded that there are really no more seasons and we let ourselves be distracted by the words of "L'Imparfaite" slipped in the midst of fluid melodies like orange juice.
It is now on the table, next to the underside of the dish and we are already dreaming of being elsewhere, as this touch has everything carefree who plays with his musical references to imagine the possibility of another future.

Running Back will mark its fifteenth anniversary with the release of its first label compilation, the Running Back Mastermix, in September. As befitting the celebration of a landmark year in the life of Gerd Janson's widely adored imprint, Janson has invited one of house music's original & greatest proponents of the Mastermix, NYC's Tony Humphries, to curate and mix the CD & digital editions of the compilation, accompanied by an unmixed double-LP which features a handful of the compilations rare & exclusive cuts. The Mastermix is a timely reminder of what has made Running Back endure and remain at the top of many house music fans' favourite label lists for over a decade. Beginning with Todd Terje's blockbuster 'Ragysh' and traversing tracks from across the label's history, it includes contributions from long time label regulars alongside more recent additions and reminders of some of RB's best reissues. Label mainstays Tiger & Woods, Matthew Styles, Redshape and Leon Vynehall all appear, alongside Mr G, Paul Woolford and recent breakthrough artists Shan, Jex and Roy Camanchero. Tiger & Woods's 'Don't Hesitate' appears on vinyl for the first time, while the Dixon edit of Precious System's anthem 'The Voice From Planet Love' will be available on wax again after only appearing on a super limited 12 run the first time around.

On the back of Chip Wickham's fabulous debut album La Sombra come two quite different but equally mouthwatering remixes of two of its tunes. On the A-side, Detroit house stalwart extraordinaire Andrés grabs 'Red Planet' by the ear and drags it straight to the dance floor. And he means business: no beating around the bush with intros and the like - it's hands in the air and go from start to finish. Relentless.

The other A side, A.K.A. AA side, is for L.A.'s ambassador of avant-garde and spiritual music Carlos Niño. Rather than remixing the album's title track in the strict sense of the word, his 'Spaceways Radio Edit' adds a subtle and otherworldly flavour to it, extending the mix with some gorgeous ambient washes.

La Sombra (Lovemonk, January 2017) is Chip Wickham's first album after a 25-year career touring, recording and experimenting across three decades of jazz, funk, soul, hip-hop, Latin and electronica. It's a monumental record for Chip as it symbolises the moment he stepped out into the light as a director of his creations with freedom to explore his roots, express and tell his version of jazz, and pay testament to his heroes Roland Kirk, Yuseef Lateef & Harold McNair.

Bruno Patchworks' Hovart is one of the top producers of today's groove music scene. After playing as a bassist and guitarist for various bands, he started producing in the mid-nineties and has kept on mixing today's technologies with the raw spirits of House, Electronic, Disco, Funk, Soul, Reggae & Jazz music's golden years since then.

Following the trail of success left by his various projects as Patchworks, and under many aliases, he's proved his musical ubiquity and unexpectedly stroke in various genres. Many House music diggers would indeed remember that before Favorite Recordings was launched in 2006, Patchworks produced many deep-house tracks on various labels.

On this new EP, he's back as Mr President with 2 new banging titles brilliantly mixing House music atmosphere, with Soul and Disco vibes. He's also teaming up again with Sabba MG on vocals, following to their great Give My Love' efforts, released on EDR Records 3 years ago. It is summer time in Nang land which means the dials are being set to Balearic. Step forward our all-around good chap, friend and producer buddy Pete Herbert. He has teamed up with Bali based musician and keyboard player Martin Denev to deliver an album of the finest Bali-inspired Balearic House. Hot and balmy evenings here we come.

Recorded on the tropical island of Bali, the album swings from Balearic grooves, to sun-filled terrace house, seaside electronic and swimming-pool funk. We open up with "Batu Karang", summery key stabs, lazy drum machine set the album tone hot, low-slung and swimming in positivity. Things take a more electronic turn with "Time" with its twisting synth-lines and locked on sun-drenched groove.

House music royalty Robert Owens swings by the cabana for a very special guest vocal appearance on "Pass Me By" next. His smooth and powerful soulful vocal compliment the pool terrace house grooves and sneaky thumb piano. As ever, Robert does not disappoint. To close off Side A the title track "Made In The Shade" gives us a slice of Nu Disco summer swing with funky strat and more cowbell of course in for good measure.

The flip side of the album opens up with a hands in the air terrace anthem. House pianos, punchy synth hits and beach disco groove all the way. "Sun Fish" takes things again in an electronic direction. Meandering lead synth lines, walking synth bass giving the perfect back drop to this island hopping anthem. Recent single "Night Boat" is next. Darting firefly arpeggios and lush keyboard layers prevail here. We end on a high with the up-tempo Gamalan inspired "Ruby Star" sending us out on a ocean deep wave..

Some songs come along that you seem to know the moment you hear it, even though it's for the first time. In the case of Spark The Universe it had exactly that impact. A mixture of late-60s psychedelic homage, early 80s new wave, white boy soul, plus a good dose of dub, all wrapped around a killer hook and super tight production and a hit was surely made.

The fact there are many deserving records that don't become a hit doesn't mean some are better than others and in fact, the joy in collecting and reissuing is finding amazing songs and bringing them back.

Increasingly heard in the sets of the more discerning DJs, Spark The Universe has become a cult play and with second hand prices now in three figures, a reissue is timely. As the label oft says, no one owns this music other than the writers, musicians and producers and their craft deserves to be appreciated.

Before going on to carve a successful career in 'electronica' project, Euphoria, Toronto's Ken Ramm had shown his considerable writing and playing ability with the 1981 debut LP Dragon and this 1983 follow up, known simply as Ramm.

Coming together through a meeting with a then relatively unknown producer, Daniel Lanois, via a mutual interest in tape loops and dubbing, it was the suggestion to bring in local vocalist Lorraine Segato that Ramm formed.

Recording at Lanois' Grant Avenue Studios, his interest in mixing past and present technology, with multiple digital delay units, harmonizers and other effect processors allowed Ramm and Lanois to explore using the studio as an instrument alongside real musicianship.

Backwards guitars, tremolo bar dives and guitar harmonics are incorporated with the vocals and percussion to perfection. With a 'Dance' and alternative 'Dub', the song's hypnotic and dreamy feel superimposed over beats pin-pointed to the later Euphoria project and with the addition of a latter day 'Discomix', from the labels' own Chuggy, Spark The Universe deserves it's place on contemporary dancefloors.

Ron Bacardi joins RNT with a 4-track inferno of disco edit heat! The A-side races out of the gate with the galloping 'Back For More,' followed by the soulful bounce of 'Circles,' which loops a gritty guitar-driven hook to perfection. The B side kicks off with 'Music Play,' an easy-breezy synth-string, electric piano, and horn-laden affair. Swirling percussion and soaring falsettos take us home on 'Never Dance,'but don't get it twisted: with Señor Bacardi at the controls, dance you WILL!

Diggin' Disco Deep expands its roster! Sebb Junior, Slync, Vhyce and Marsupials got the call to lift the weight of this fourth project of the label. Following the DDD recipe, they keep it disco as the basis of their tracks, building upon deep, soulful and disco-house material. Don't miss!

Aptly titled 'Afro Acid' by DJ Dook is exactly what it says on the sleeve - raw DJ tool with squelchy samples, mantra-like vocal loop and focused vibe. Think of an soundtrack to a futuristic version of Apocalypse Now. Just the perfect peaktime beats to heat the party a little bit more.

'Praise Song' by Universo is built on a wandering bassline reminiscent of Malian blues with tribal chants, penny whistles and various sorts of percussions on top. This beautiful groove rolls and rolls without end, like an endless summer.

'Ukukhnaya' by Tamten is the most atmospheric out of the three, fusing New Age midi sounds with the vibes of South African deep house.

Ben Gomori's Monologues Records brings two of its most popular releases to vinyl after a long wait. Laurence Guy's 'Les Mur' EP signalled the start of a great run for the London producer, with releases following on Church, Dirt Crew Recordings and Fort Romeau's Cin Cin. The title track is a graceful, deep piano roller, while 'Sunlite' goes into chuggier, synthier territory.


Young French talent Leon Revol has released on Apersonal and Kolour LTD with some very fine sample-heavy grooves, but 'Clear Definition (Dub Mix)' shows he's not short on his own ideas - with a tinge of the early Herbert sound to it. 'Eulogy For Hip-Hop' takes some lush disco strings and whirls them into a romantic slice of early doors class.

NYC's Disco powerhouse West End Records should need no intro. The home of too-numerous-to-list club classics for over 30+ years is still impacting today on what we know to be club culture. The label started by one Mel Cheren (RIP) with assistance from Larry Levan and more way back in 1976 is still held in such high regard today with it's catalogue constantly being played, rediscovered, reinterpreted and loved by waves and waves of new fans and admirers.

Our first GO Ibiza Compilation has been compiled by Bobby & Steve and Michael Hughes and mixed by our very own Bobby & Steve.

It features 28 amazing tracks and is modelled around the launch of our Groove Odyssey Presents GO IBIZA four day weekender, which took place from the 19th - 22nd of May 2017 at the Beach Star Hotel, San Antonio Bay, Ibiza. With over 40 artists from around the globe coming together on the magical island of Ibiza, it was a memorable
affair and many of the guests now feature on the album.

This double CD features two mixes. CD1 is the Poolside mix and will set you up for the day with a journey from chilled to mid-tempo to prime time grooves, featuring a laid back mix of Joe Smooth's house classic anthem "Promise Land", the Kenny Dope remix of Skyy's 80's classic "High", Larry Heard's Fingers Inc "Bye Bye", DJ Spinna's remix of Hallex M's "Feeling" and Joey Negros' Sunburst Bands "In the Thick of It" amongst many other gems.

CD2 is the club mix and we get the party started with the DJ Spen mix of Richard Burton's "Bad Luck', followed by the Bobby & Steve remix of Leroy Burgess "Over Like a Fat Rat", Louie Vega/Monique Bingham's "Elevator", Mike Dunn's "Time Keeps Marching On", The Atjazz Tweak of Exel Tulemo's "Get Down" and Zepherin Saint featuring Sara Devine "Hurry".

Did you know Voguing, which gained mainstream exposure through Malcolm McLaren or Madonna, owes a little of its fortune to France : since the late eighties, this underground movement born in the Harlem ballroom scene fascinated the very first missionaries of house music à la française, whether they'd be DJs, journalists or promoters. Around the world, most of the wonderful Queens of Vogue had a break through with their performances in music videos on MTV, but nowhere else other than in Paris did we take this New-York gay and multicultural counter-culture so seriously. It didn't caught the attention of young producers nor rub off on the pavement of any other city. Therefore, it is without surprise that with their upcoming album « House of Melancholy », Acid Washed, a duo that arose from the second wave of French house, are bringing back a concentrate of everything that house music encloses (we will never say it enough) of polictical, social, utopian, and subversive matters.

Because it's in the legendary club culture, with its heroes and its secret stories, that Andrew Claristidge and Richard d'Alpert found the clay, the ideas and the outline of pretty much everything that they wanted to inject into Acid Washed. Two house music and techno lovers swaying between nocturnal experiences and encyclopedias, both musicians picked up the house nation as an haven, a home to live in, a place to learn and exchange. One grew up next to the cradle of French techno (Grenoble), the other was trained on classical music, new-wave and punk : Andrew and Richard did indeed cross paths around a substrate named Daft Punk, but above all and later on, around the sprawling club culture which came to life at the same moment in Chicago, Detroit and Manchester, and gave birth to the duo. Considered as a return to the origins of house and techno music after the euphoric unpacking of a big bangish first album, « House of Melancholy » however proposes a synthetic cocktail, highly indiosyncratic : a return to the origins of their own house and their own techno. In this way, the ones who would only see Acid Washed as a pair of skillful technicians of vintage synths and references are in for a surprise. We won't dance nor dream to the songs of « House of Melancholy » like to any other album, always higher and louder, and a little bit stronger too.

For the fourth release of Hello Sailor Recordings, boss lady Renata do Valle curated the sounds of Fatnotronic and Joutro Mundo, two of Brazil's major Disco forces, to collaborate on the project, featuring edits from Gretchen 'Super Sexy' and 'Tudao' from Banda Black Rio. The new versions deliver a longer and punchier bass line and a groove that got extended to satisfy our ears and resulting in a dance floor-minded record, faithful to its original brilliance.

Jonas Rocha, the talent behind Joutro Mundo has been active in the underground scene of Rio de Janeiro for over 17 years.
Jonas has produced several parties in Rio, including the legendary Bootleg party that has run for over ten years.
Both as DJ and producer, he stood out with projects such as Superagua which gave him recognition as a producer and made him a featured DJ at the Red Bull Music Academy in 2002.
As Joutro Mundo got a great response in the nu-disco & disco re-edit scene worldwide. Founder of a project aiming to preserve the sacred chants of Brazil and with an intention to overcome prejudices toward the neglected indigenous tribes of South America, whilst working to approach contemporary music, Rocha won the award 'Funarte de Musica Brasileira' with the CD Cantos Yawanawa.

Fatnotronic is comprised of Rodrigo Gorky and Phillipi Alves.
The duo is known for an effervescent energy at parties and imprinting it onto their music. Their edits, often of obscure Brazilian Boogie, Disco and Balearic, is a meticulous work of long hours record digging in their native Sao Paulo.
Fatnotronic has released work under Chit Chat Records, Deewee and Razor-n-Tape.
The latter, which featured the anthem Margarida, was debuted live on BBC Radio6 with the blessings of Fatboy Slim.
They also recorded an exclusive live mix for "Diplo & Friends" on BBC Radio1, showcasing their latest productions and Brazilian charm alike.

Mirror Test' conjures that rare mood between darkness and elation, contemplation and celebration, and drives it home with an infectious, jacking rhythm section which recalls the late-80s NY club music of Boyd Jarvis and Paul Simpson, and labels like Easy Street and Fourth Floor, but imbues the sound with a toughness and precision only possible today. Analog synth figures, glassy and angular, ricochet around the track, trading jabs with funky snare work and robotic, stabby chord patterns to create a hook-laden machine groove which demands repeated listening.
The record's B-side feature, 'Replace Yourself,' is the subtler, dreamier, more futuristic of the two. Unmistakably urban with its swinging, bottom-heavy groove and strange, architectural chord work, it seduces and transports. 'Replace Yourself' dares you to do exactly that.

Emotional Response again teams up with Meda Fury and Sad City to present an EP of remixes from the acclaimed debut album, Shapes In Formation. Enlisting a killer tag-team of DJ Nature, HOLOVR and Herron to bring their own retakes of Gary Caruth's music, arrives with justified anticipation. The success of Sad City's debut opus was a deserved conclusion to a journey across third world ambient, found sound samples and jazz-touched beats. All are reworked and expanded here while retaining the artist's all encompassing atmospheric oeuvre. First Milo Johnson dons his DJ Nature moniker for two mixes of Steady Jam. The stand out of the album for many, it seemed right to request Milo's skills to push the sample-based loops to a deep dance floor. Rolling congas, skipping hats and the teasing, soulful melodies come together to work their magic. Vocal and Dub are crafted and cut as one long-form take for the more adventurous, this is dub-disco for the today's real (to reel) entertainers. Side two is given over to rising names in HOLOVR and Herron. With releases on Opal Tapes, Further and Firecracker Recordings, Jimmy Billingham 303-infused sound is perfect in reshaping Caruth's trip that is Pace, Movements I-IV. Building slowly with trademark 909 meets acid, kick eventually arrives to take the remix beyond head nodding to swinging minds and hearts. The EP closes with a perfect dismantle and rebuild by Manchester's Herron. A man of talents, Sam Lewis is pushing his City's cultural landscape via the Soup Kitchen venue, co-running the on-point Meandyou Records, while still having time to record solo as Herron and for Hinge Finger as one half of CO/R, alongside label head Joy Orbison. The glitch beats, drone synthesis and orchestral vocal snatches of Rain fuse and percolate in the mind's eye. Sad City. Reshaped in transformations.

These tracks (both 13 Minutes) Paradise / In Love An Arc make the debut recording by AMOR, a new quartet based largely in Glasgow, consisting of Richard Youngs, Luke Fowler, Michael Francis Duch and Paul Thomson. AMOR is a master-class in blissful, searching, avant-disco fuelled by telepathic ensemble playing and an untouchable, higher joy. While unmistakably Dance music, these are analog recordings, sounds in a room, in space. The musicians are messengers, the message is love.

Recorded at Chem 19 at Green Door in Glasgow, it was mixed with Golden Teacher/The Modern Institute-member Richard McMaster. Both tracks edge the 14 minute mark, slices of ecstasy seemingly hewn from a band deep in the Zone. Mastered by Matt Colton at Alchemy Studios, the balance between hefty, bass-thick kicks and crisp percussion, an elastic double bass that lends a bounce to proceedings and floating piano chords recalls a warped take on Philadelphia International Records, a version of This Heat decimating the disco charts of late 70s USA. Paradise begins with a proto-house kick drum and Paul Thomson's inescapably funky percussion, inviting Duch's bass into the mix. Fowler's subtle electronic touches set up some of the most open-hearted, love-infected vocals Richard Youngs has ever set to tape. Guided through various drops and ecstatic highs by ceaselessly inventive rhythm composition, the listener is elevated to several plains, to different levels and spirits.

In Love An Arc arguably goes deeper. Jane Sayer's guest violin scrapes us in, with formless shapes polluting the stereo field until a plaintive piano chord pattern brings us into the groove. Sounding like a lost spirit looking through the glass darkly, Youngs' vocal is melancholic and truthful. Fowler's synth playing evolves upward, duetting with the stringed instruments' deep excursions into the night. While these are only the first recordings by AMOR, the members have separate exceptional histories in modern music. Richard Youngs has a 140+ long discography covering any number of musics often invented by Youngs himself, while Luke Fowler is an award winning film-maker and visual artist, as well as an electronic musician in his own right. Paul Thomson is a drummer and percussionist with Franz Ferdinand and The Yummy Fur and Michael Francis Duch is a double bassist based in Norway with deep roots in the world of improvisation and minimalist composition. Most importantly, however, is that this is the sound of a band, as one.

After a few years of demand for Kon's rework of "Spirit of the party" ( gimmie the night ) its finally here, with two other cuts giving us a triple threat 12".
"Love x Kon" the tune is stripped down to the bone, with quite an epic acapella ending.
On "Star of a story" Kon hones in on the groove and stretches it out a bit.
Completely fresh takes on 3 classic tunes, exposing and breaking down instrumentation not heard before.

Rare and obscure "Boogie Disco Funk Bomb" from Italy, recorded in 1981 but pressed in 1983 "300 copies only" and featuring: Roland Zaniolo the lead voice of the italian disco-funk group of "FIREFLY".
This release is a collector's edition, limited to 300 copies like the first release but it comes with a nice picture cover artwork plus liner notes containing infos and pictures provided from the original producer.

Mikkel Nordsø and Ole Thiell are no newcomers. Influential key players both on Copenhagen's jazz scene and on the international circuit since the late 1970s, they have recorded and performed with such greats as Santana, L. Subramaniam, Jan Akkerman and George Duke to name but a few. Their numerous
local projects include the much revered Bombay Hotel trio featuring Kenneth Knudsen. On their first record from 1989, they bridged the gaps between fusion jazz, new age and traditional Asian folk music into ethereal expressions that stand out even today.
With this new album for Music For Dreams, the duo delves deeper into that soundscape with an even more profound knowledge of their instruments. With Nordsø on the flute and guitar and Thiell on various percussion instruments, they form a musical language together that reaches high spiritual levels while carefully blending electronic instrumentation to complete the experience.
Guest vocalist Caroline Francesca steps in on the opener "Good Morning" and the closer "Sun Fo Ni" - the first being a sun-drowsy Brazilian-inspired jam, while "Sun Fo Ni" leans further towards crisp English folk. The inclusion of Francesca comes naturally, as she is the daughter of percussionist and long-time collaborator Jacob Andersen (who also releases on Music For Dreams as Bongo Entp.) making this quite a family affair.
Named after a harbour town in Morocco, the track "Essaouira" weaves field recordings of children playing in the sun together with brooding oriental folk and a discrete drum machine beat.
For "Japtal" the flute takes centre stage, leading us on a serene journey that unfolds into improvised passages along a chugging heavy groove, escalating and releasing in tempo much like the breathing techniques of yoga.
"Velvet Sky" sees the duo at their most relaxed, letting it ride on feather light ambient chords and noodling out into a wigged out prog rock ballad.
"B Phrygian" takes us into ancient Anatolian territory, again showcasing the duo's vibrant live instrumentation with Thiell hurling an army's worth of percussion layers onto the dusty beaten path laid out by Nordsø's stone-faced psychedelic assaults.
This album is a classic in the making already getting strong support from Phil Mison and Manchester's Moonboots who declared it "the best record I have heard in the last 10 Years!" Don't miss...

Mary's Red Hot Grooves kicks off the flip. Originally by Mary Wilson and out in '79 this rolls funk, soul & disco into one producing a monster of a dancer that is simply irresistible - Again, that the break's been stretched followed by a mighty fine arrangement that takes this track from good to great.

Last but no means least we have Give Me Your Love - Originally penned by none other than Curtis Mayfield and covered by Sisters Love in 1973. Deadly Sins firmly has the dj in mind with this re-assembly laying the building blocks and slowly building from the break then those meltingly good vocal stabs hit followed by that riff. Soul music at it's finest !

Die Orangen, aka aussie producers Dreems & Kris Baha are teaming up for the first time with 2 new unreleased jams under their new alias. Slow and atmospheric, yet punching and grooving Die Orangen managed to meltdown genres into 100bpm 11 minute long trippy trancey bonanza with a substantial amount of jungle psychedelia and heavy drum machines. One Day in Sheperton is a more drum oriented industrial power house tune. With the diggerido and distorted voices coming in towards its 2nd half. This ep includes, as expected from the Malka Tuti crew, with awesome remixes by Italian maestros Fabrizio Mamarella (of Slow Motion records) and Alessandro Adriani (of Mannequin records), Oodandatta Rain is an ep that throws the listener back to the early days of partying in Anjuna beach, when trance was not yet a genre, but a state of mind, and where the "tribal element" could be found in all sorts of bizzarre contexts and remote corners...

No one else but one of Chicago's finest DJ Lil 'Tal is responsible for the ninth Footjob release. The good doctor has been a cherished member of the Jalapeno Records family for the best part of ten years now with three albums and many more singles to his name.

With evergreen support from the likes of BBC6Music and especially Craig Charles his back catalogue never seemed to fall out of fashion and we consistently received requests to reissue classic tracks on vinyl for discerning DJs and fans.

At points daydreaming while the sand laps at its toes (the lilting nylon strings and soft padded hand drums of "Lucia", the overlapping guitars and galloping refrains of "La Flor De Piedra"), at others a much darker, more spacious star-gazing affair (the Arabic dreams of "El Beso Negro") and at others a heavier rhythmic, floor-minded approach (the lolloping bass and reggae-wise strums of "Variacion 23") this is a timeless document that befits situations and sceneries that existed long before this record was conjured up... And will remain so for generations after. Stunning.

For the past four decades, a growing cult of soul music collectors have sought two obscure LPs and a handful of extremely rare 45s released on the vanity record label LAD Productions, Inc. between the late seventies and the mid eighties by the mysterious South Side Chicago singer/song writer Larry Dixon.
Larry's raw songs capture the transition from R&B to boogie-down as disco was rapidly becoming extinct.
They also perfectly illustrate Larry's ability to overcome his environment and discrimination, transcended by his determination to write and produce music. With the support of his faithful musicians, Larry's success was only hindered by lack of airplay and promotion, but his talent shines through.
This is the story of Larry Dixon, his label LAD Productions, Inc., and his friends and family throughout four decades of music in Chicago's toughest neighborhoods.

available on 2MR 'YAML' has a long history... nearly 10 years of it in fact! Bottin produced most of the instrumental almost a decade ago when he had a bedroom studio and his girlfriend at the time came up with the 'You are my love' (hence the title 'YAML') hook and the first notes of the melody. It's a song about a somewhat destructive yet playful relationship: the girl is willingly submissive and mixes reality with her dreams - she portraits her lover as dominant while she's in fact leading the game. Finally Bottin enlisted his friend Lavinia Claws who helped out with the final lyrics and recorded the vocals in Berlin. Lavinia will also be starring in the forthcoming music video of the song. The flipside of the record 'Roulez Jeunesse' is Bottin's soundtrack to an
imaginary amusement park. We don't know the exact
origin of the French saying Roulez Jeunesse but the person in charge to set you up and start the ride would yell 'Roulez jeunesse!' when everyone was locked in. The expression is now commonly used to mean that you're all set to go, which seems fitting given the propulsive space disco vibe of the track.

Curiously enough the story of this record begins with a song, which isn't even featured on it. A song named 'Guayabas'. One of Guillermo Reuter's very first free-spirited compositions is one
of his two contributions to the fourth album 'Ese Dia Va A Llegar' by friend and musician Agustin Pereyra Lucena, in 1975. 'Guayabas' was the unintended starting signal for Reuter's
career and was coincidentally the initial spark for this reissue that you, dear reader and listener, are holding in your hands right now.

Frederic Bergamaschi from Bretagne, who produce under a few monikers like Infinity Night, which could be familiar, if you are a voyageur of the space-roller disco Universe. He is a long time galactic player, established his own label Radio Cosmos where he puts out electro, italo, disco pieces with his analogue synths devoted companions. He has been released by Bordello A Parigi as well.Now Infinity Night appears with his new Eternal Love EP on Dalmata Daniel, which contains a five of his own material and remix from Charles B. Returning from the Italian excursion of Vol. 13 before the U.K. pulls up the proverbial drawbridge, Neil Diablo delivers another To Rack & Ruin winner live and direct from the Northern powerhouse. Showing some love for the finer half of the county, Neil presents the best the North East has to offer, enlisting 'Our friends from the north' Yorkshire's Craig Bratley and Newcastle's James Hadfield to do the damage on this slick split 12".
After a relatively quiet 2016, Mr Bratley shuffles his Magic Feet into the studio and sticks his fist directly into the mainframe, coming back with a pair of strangely psychedelic body movers to decorate the A-side.'Ani Kuni' bursts out the blocks in a swell of fizzing sequencer, throbbing bass and tonking mid tempo percussion, sparking away wildly like a Tesla toothbrush.
An East-meets-West affair, the track marries the thrusting electronics of Krautrock with lightly spiced Indian vocals and hippie guitar licks, conjuring visions of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi gurning away at a Faust show. Bratley retains the propulsive percussion for A2 number 'Acid Mother', syncing gurgling synth bass beneath loose funk guitars and warbling lead lines as we're slowly sucked through the wormhole.
As the track chugs ceaseless through Baldelli's cosmic terrain, rhythmic chants and rubbery bass solos reverberate through the vacuum, locking us into their other worldly gravity. * Jun Kamoda has been a solid contributor to Japan's electronic music scene for quite some time. Producing under his Illreme moniker for over 15 years & also as member of Hip Hop trio Baleine 3000. He is also a cartoon illustrator for Japanese independent magazine 'Usca'.
