More vinyl remixes from Psychemagik with the long awaited official 'Dancehall Days' remix sanctioned by Jack Hues from Wang Chung himself.
Jack liked Psychemagiks re-edit of Dance Hall Days so much he contacted the duo and offered them the parts for an official remix.
The result is a monster dancefloor friendly beast that is true to the original edit but with some extra magik! Limited edition white vinyl release limited to only 500 copies, don't sleep!

The Future Disco series has become the essential collection for anyone with a house and disco musical obsession. The fifth volume: Downtown Express takes us on yet another journey into all the current must own dancefloor cuts. The limited samplers have become highly sought after collectors' items in their own right by taking key tracks from the albums and exclusively making them available on 12' vinyl.

We open up with Moon Boot's Off My Mind on the A side which has been tearing up dancefloors all over the world for the past month with it's infectious 80's groove and chopped up longing vocal.

As we flip over onto the B Side Metromony need no introduction having been nominated for a Mercury music award for their album 'The English Riviera'. Album track Corinne has been remixed by super producer Mario Basanov who has kept the song's structure intact but given the record a dancefloor vibe that will feel a natural choice for 4am.

Finally Something Happened is a huge looping disco cut reminiscent of the late nineties, Pitto's instrumental remix makes it unrelenting and very effective on the dancefloor with its big build ups and even bigger drops.

Fantastic Queen Constance double A-sided special featuring two of the best tracks ever released on this cult disco label, an offshoot of NYC's renowned P&P Records. Staying faithful to the translucent red vinyl of the 1979 original releases, this features on side A Kim Taylor's amazing lost disco funk gem 'Stump Your Feet & Dance'. Produced by NYC disco legend Peter Brown, this track is a surefire floor filler and features all the wonderful hallmarks of a classic P&P production - funky rhythm section, phat driving bass, screaming moogy synths and that feel-good disco party atmosphere that just makes you wanna 'Stump Your Feet & Dance'. On the flip is the equally awesome afro-disco stormer 'Licky', another ultra-rare Peter Brown creation. With its rocking female vocals, hot sax solos and some wildly groovy synth action, this is a wonderful slice of afro-american fusion that rocks any discerning dancefloor. Top quality release and with two top class tracks on one disc it's top value for money too!

Here we have a limited pressing containing three raw, underground house remixes of tracks from the forthcoming LP of a certain Essen based producer. Ava label boss Damiano Von Erckert goes jacking on an uptempo old school Detroit techno influenced Jam. Homewreckers head deeper on their beautiful mix of High Needs Low whilst Ugly Drums absolutely kills it with an amazing stripped back disco approach that shows just why he's such a hotly tipped producer for 2012. Essential.

nerds/experts have told us. Anyway, we are of course extremely proud to put this wonderful music on wax.

Welcome reissue for this super-rare space funk album from 1983, one of the holy grails of the Cosmic scene. Extremely expensive and hard-to-find in the original, this LP was created by legendary French producers Jean-Pierre Massiera and Bernard Torelli (listed here as Areisam and Bernie) and released on French la bel Savoir Faire. It is a superb example of the duo's innovative electronic disco madness, always pushing boundaries while remaining supremely funky. Stand-out tracks are the Italo classic 'Challenger' - heady synths, tough bass and astronaut vocals combine in a strange space odyssey; 'Cruisin', a superb electro-boogie style cut with a hypnotic driving bassline, and the fantastic 'On The Border', a tight funky percussive workout whipped by wild space-rock guitars. But as you would expect from the Massiera/Torelli trademark, all tracks are great and the LP a worthy addition to any self-respecting Italo / Cosmic collection.

Music; lover/producer/nut/obsessive/collector... Andy Ash first began producing and DJing in his early teens, taking inspiration from house producers and DJ's such as Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Carl Craig and a whole host of others. Influenced from listening to DJ's such as these from an early age Andy has been digging into different sounds from across the musical spectrum in order to create his own blend of disco, house, techno and anything else that fits. Andy has recently begun to release his own blend of house and disco with a double 12' on Chicago's Stillove4music, several releases on Five20East records, some naughty edits in the popular L.E.S.S. series and an EP on Universal Vibes. A double helping of killer Cosmic rarities from legendary Miami-based disco label T.K., bringing together two super-obscure cuts from 1979 - Queen Samantha's amazing progressive electronic disco odyssey 'Take A Chance' and the heavy soul/funk epic 'Cosmic Funk' from the wonderfully-named Mad Dog Fire Department. The Queen Samantha track is eight minutes of slow-burning disco bliss - a bubbling mid-tempo monster with awesome percussion, super-funky bassline and the Queen's glorious soaring vocals which caused mayhem on the dancefloors at Mancuso's Loft and Levan's Warehouse as well as being a fave on the early NY breakbeat/hiphop scene with Afrika Bambaata giving it some heavy rotation. Flip over for Mad Dog's extremely hard to find 'Cosmic Funk', a grooving grinding low-slung workout featuring hypnotic chanting vocals and some wild synth action. Remastered for top-quality sound, this double A-sider is a must for lovers of that heavy T.K. sound.

Leo Zero is probably best known for his remixes of global acts like Florence & The Machine, Bryan Ferry & Paul Welller. But prior to this he's spent many years on the underground house scene, running parties, record labels, DJing, and learning the ropes in the studio.

Handling the production and arrangement, Kon gives us the original version as well as a dub, pairing of samples and original music he utilizes a very clever 1 bar vocal sample from multi track stems as well as live session players ( his gang ) to get his vision across. Limited remastered reissue of Robert Cotter's stunning 1980 album Timeless on Italian label Derby. This ultra-rare LP isn't easy to define, straddling a number of genres - funk, jazz, space-rock, Italo, and lashings of soul - all overlaid with Robert's cool vocals and powerful backing singers. Most sought-after tracks on this disco collector's dream are the opening 'Rock Me With Your Love', a nine minute epic mutating from a sweet soul intro into a quitar-lashed space-rock monster by the end, funk killer 'Everything I'm Living For' and the futuristically jazzy 'Timeless' with its minimal grooving synths. Club Mod is a new endeavor by the Modular Recordings family. A series of 12" single releases aimed at some kind of dancefloor, Club Mod acts as one foot under the strobe and one in the future, an avenue for one-off releases with acts we've recently fallen in love with or those whom we've long time admired. It will be an eclectic, roughly monthly series in the name of dance.

The artwork for the new imprint has been lovingly created by the legendary Fergadelic. A demi-God of the graphic world, Fergadelic has created many incredible pieces of work in the last 10 years with his work for Silas, his own label Tonite, Slam City Skates, Stussy, Soulwax and Die Verboten. He's designed our 12" house bag with custom labels for each release and we're honored to be involved with him.

The 1st release is a by 120 Days, a 4 piece from Oslo who released an acclaimed self-titled record in 2006. In the time since, the band has been developing and honing a sound, the first taste of which is 'Osaka', A brooding, tribal, baggy acid beast, with remixes by Sidwho and Diskjokke which will come out on Club Mod.

This is only the third release on the CheckTheGuns label since 2008 - their mission to bring the finest in funk and disco edits to a discerning listenership continues in fine style.
The TapeEdit series has seen the guys combine secret weapons with more well known cuts, bringing top notch dancefloor friendly versions in every case & winning major support from a borad variety of DJ's and enthusiasts alike.
The label is a joint venture by DJ's and producers JC and The Dr who have been working side by side on various musical projects for the past 15 years.

Limited reissue of this highly sought-after and extremely heavy electro-boogie cut from Serena. Originally released on tiny NYC label TNT Unl imited in 1983, this super-rare gem was produced by the great James Terry who was also responsible for other top boogie classics of the era such as 'Boogieland' by Ike Strong and True Image's 'Keep Me Dancing'. The instrumental gets all the attention here with super-funky basslines, cool vocoder chorus and ultra-crisp percussion and synths but the vocal is pretty damn strong too. Top priority for all boogie fans - don't miss this!

London-based deep house label Ornate Music come through with another gem in the shape of the latest EP from Dubbyman, filled with robust, beatdown grooves. The EP opens with "Time & Sensibility", creating an all-enveloping atmosphere with its oven-warm pads and rich analogue bass, punctuated with jazzy chords and vocal murmurings. "Kirigi Is Coming", meanwhile, showcases Dubbyman's excellent knack for crafting Moodymann style textures with the depth to boot, combining a solid rhythmic snap with drawn out vocal landscapes and Detroit-referencing melodies. Finally "Uuuuhhhh!!!!" closes the EP with its breathy intro and low slung filtered grooves combining with bubbling laser sound effects.

The moustached disco avengers at Sccucci Manucci drop their latest missive, featuring more transmissions from the disco underground. Argentinean based Toomy Disco provides "What Goes Around", a tightly produced disco-house number with horn snippets woven around low-slung grooves, whilst The Glue deliver "Without You" a hazy slo-mo looper with vocal teases and hypnotic guitar licks. On the flip, South West Seven lock themselves into a fast moving groove with "What Have I Got To Do", a track that contrasts its fast rhythmic pulse with vocals and guitars that slowly emerge from the filtered ether. Aeromaschine close proceedings with "Deep Champagne"; combining a deep and melodic bassline with improvisational touches and glitchy vocal stutters, it successfully forges its own sound whilst keeping in line with his disco counterparts.

Winter is here meaning cold snaps, gritters, snowmen and of course, Fina 006. The new record takes a different angle than previous releases, enlisting a few friends and local Leeds gents to bring a cool little French-filtered number to the Fina repertoire.

Seldom do such hyped albums live up to their reputation but this one does in spades - 'Children of the Universe' is a real delight from beginning to end with not a filler track in sight. It takes you on a journey of musical styles and emotions from great dancefloor-friendly disco-funk such as 'Civilisation', 'Time and Space' and the outstanding title track, meandering through experimental spaced-out soundscapes 'Introduction To Mankind' and 'Friendly Vibrations', and dipping into the languid soul of 'Western Way of Life', 'Nightmare' and 'Yesterday Has Gone'. Plus we have stunning slo-mo psychedelic disco gem 'Schizoprenic World' and finally to cap it off the the best-known track from the album 'Testimony', whose supremely laid-back dreamy disco vibes make it the Balearic DJs' secret weapon of choice. Cisco Cisco reappears on the Spanish label Apersonal Music with more nudisco quality from the Portuguese duo. 2 original tracks, 'Higher' the perfect weapon for the techydisco lovers and 'Brothers in Arms' freshing up the release with an enchanting laid-down groove. A solid offer that reaffirms the promising relationship between this rising artist and Apersonal, under which they debuted last year.

So, I guess DJ Kaos is no stranger for anyone with the slitest interest in dance music. This fine gentleman have had records out on a number of quality labels, and have also done countless remixes.

This EP - his first for Discofil - show cases some of DJ Kaos most obscure favourites. A record for the clubs, a record for the trainspotters.

On the a-side, the duo cuts a disco Diamond to pieces with handclap slapback and string stabs a plenty.

Space Ranger is back on patrol. Moving house and a peaktime affair plus a couple of remixes coming from Moscow and Barcelona. This is a hell of a 12'!

Needwant call upon on the immaculate production skills of Bonar Bradberry for his second release on the label. Bonar's You Were Away EP is a journey through emotive disco dreams, with remixes from two rising producers Maxxi Soundsystem and Space Ranger.

'You Were Away' is a thought-provoking slice of day dreaming disco. Steady shakes and claps set the pace while sleek synth licks and emotive piano keys build the track into full momentum. Blissfully whispering through the melody is the dreamy vocal sung by Bonar himself, demonstrating his diverse artistic talents. The A-side also includes an instrumental version, that lets the music do the talking.

Shir Khan & Exploited reveal the second chapter of their infamous Black Jukebox series dipping their toes into the world of disco edits. Contributions from Gomma's best kept secret Mercury and Exploited label regulars Homework. 4 shameless disco house reworks presented in a nicely recut fashion reminiscent of Wolf&Lamb, Soul Clap or Tiger&Woods. People who have been digging the Black Jukebox series include Solomun, Soul Clap, Axel Boman, A-Trak, Round Table Knights, Jazzanova, Jesse Rose, Trickski, Catz N'Dogs, Oliver$, Ewan Pearson, Till Von Sein and many more.

Second release on the wonderful 'Supafrico Records' digs up and dusts off four more mega-rare nuggets of superb Afro funk. First up is the excellent Afro Disco groove of Kabbala's 'Ashewo Ara', a lost gem originally released back in '82 on tiny UK independent Red Flame and now featuring highly on many collectors' wants lists. Next is Buari's 'I'm Ready', a chunk of pure dancefloor dynamite with a driving disco groove and great funky synths, taken from the Ghanian singer and percussionist's awesome 1979 'Disco Soccer' LP. On the flip we get the mega-rare and totally essential 'Body & Soul', a magnificent 10 minute mid-tempo Afro workout recorded in 1980 by Nigerian funkster William Onyeabor. Last up is a great extended edit of the Ashantis' brilliant funky bubbler 'Everybody's Groove' with its floor-filling groove and wicked vocals. These lovingly remastered rarities sound better than ever making this EP a must for anyone with a taste for those incredible funky Afro grooves.

If ever there were more committed and fervent neighbours within the house and disco community today, then House of Disco Records would be flying the flag loud and high in the front garden for all to see.

We're proud present the inaugural message from the world of Valley Sound. Valley Sound is new label put together by a few old heads. Our aim is merely act as a vehicle for the lovely music that comes our way. Puller Productions are Stevie Kotey & Damien Manestar a team brought together by the complete coincidence of moving next door to each other. Damien a synth programmer and all round genius with a love of Fusion and Progressive rock music. He is also the originator of 'Never the Machine' a fusion band with which he plays the meanest Hammond organ. With that in mind they embarked on a journey create some dance floor heat.

'Sentimental Feelings' went all around studio when Damien first hit the notes on the DX synth. It's like you've already heard this classic before as the production (mainly midi based machines) is spot on for the retro 'ye old house' sound Mums & Dads used to dance too. A bass line from New York, Strings from Detroit and Piano's from any major city in the UK circa 1988.

We gave Ray Mang the task of remixing 'Sentimental Feelings'. His credentials as super producer are known across the globe with countless projects for labels like U STAR, DFA, NOID and his own Fiasco. He delivered a mind blowing deep remix a real killer! The angelic pianos of 'For Ava' go down a more emotional route. Warm pads create a sunny outlook across the valley. Man of the moment Mark E provides yet another amazing remix. We love Mark's stripped down take of 'For Ava' he adds layer upon layer to create a monster as we get Sedna (The goddess of the ocean) deep.

Reaching the age of twenty and barely legal, "Cabin Fever" presents this mysterious e.p from downtown Miami. And what better way to end the year than with these super funky, slow-mo funk infused house jams that are sure to bring some sunshine onto the dancefloor!

Balearic classic alert !!! The sought after epic La Version Française of Chris Rea's 'Josephine' from 1988

Ditongo is Batongo's alias for disco editing, less obscure, more groovy.
Not much is to be known about Batongo, previously an active euro dance producer who released a bunch of hits in the nineties. 10 years ago, after a traumatic experience he escaped in Perù and retired from the music business, during this years, on his spare time he made a lot of music, not meant for the public, just for himself. Now he is still in Perù, not willing to move back to Europe but barely broke, he sold us the rights on his entire collection of unreleased recordings with condition of not revealing his real identity.
We will unveil a series of EPs ranging from obscure deep to psychedelic disco.

DISCO PARADISE FROM REBIRTH

Kiwi producer Raw Sugar returns to the Gazeebo imprint with the Disco Land EP, following his debut Women Of The Ghetto 12" from earlier this year. The title track is sprawled across the A-Side, with the most languid of tempos allowing all manner of bells and effects to swirl in and around the lolloping beats in a hazy fashion. The end result is damn near hypnotizing. This shares a side of wax with the decidedly more uptempo "I Wanna Give You My Love", which boasts some burning late night chord stabs, cleverly arranged vocal grunts and a slinky bass line. Flip over for a chunky remix from Mr Gazeebo himself, who turns "Disco Land" into a near nine minute funk-fuelled odyssey!

Not much is to be known about Batongo, previously an active euro dance producer, released a bunch of hits in the nineties. 10 years ago, after a traumatic experience he escaped in Perù and retired from the music business, during this years, on his spare time he made a lot of music, not meant for the public, just for himself. Now he is still in Perù, not willing to move back to Europe but barely broke, he sold us the rights on his entire collection of unreleased recordings with condition of not revealing his real identity.
We will unveil a series of EPs ranging from obscure deep to psychedelic disco, here's the first one, EL PRIMERO... as he calls it.

For his discographic debut Degustibus has chooses to release Gin Sonic, a tune made by Rubini, an italian artist workin and livin between Venice and Berlin.
Gin Sonic is a classy old-school track, made in Berlin but dreamed in a synthy-outerspace. Circular bassline swim in a invincible funky-beat and crush against a wall of synth providing you a sure dancefloor-filler.
In addition they commissioned a remix from Berlin-legend DJ Filippo "Naughty" Moscatello. He made 2 versions, impossible to choose the better they included both in the release.
Remix 1 is a dubby-hypno ride with a moroder-like dizzy bassline.

Henry Maldonado knows a thing or two about dance music. Having made his mark in the 90s on Strictly Rhythm and MAW, the New York native more recently delved into disco endeavors, both as one-half of Native Underground on Wurst and Under the Shade, and also solo as Son of Sound on Tirk, and now Mystery Meat.

Russian cool cat Sportloto (AKA Andrey Rublev) is making quite a name for himself in the remix realm.

like, Donna Summer, David Bowie, Freddie Mercury. We can write many pages
with interes#ng stu around his work, but this release is about the remixes.

Redux kick off 2011 with an absolutely superb debut release from White Elephant - a super limited 10" only release of rare Balearic bliss !
White Elephant are Benjamin Smith (Smith & Mudd) and Jim Baron and Chris Todd (Crazy P), so expectations for the collaboration were more than met when they delivered this sublime cut.

On the flip, Merc supremo Mark E expertly reinterprets the stunning A Side with one of his best remixes to date, keeping the vibe or the original intact, but taking it into solid, floor-shaking beatdown house territory.

Limited reissue of this ultra-rare Loft classic from 1979. Though Edgar Winter was an artist more known for his jazz, blues and rock work, a collaboration with Ne w York's disco uber-producer Tom Moulton produced this stunning result. As well as being championed by David Mancuso at his legendary Loft parties this was picked up by Italy's Cosmic scene and for good reason - the instrumental particularly is a disco masterclass with rough chunky basslines, super-funky timbales, wicked choppy guitar riffs, crazy synthesizers and of course the unforgettable 'woo's all in the mix creating pure dancefloor mayhem. Don't sleep!

The first liaison of those two guys might be entitled as a generation clash.

Young gun 'Kitt Bang' became a famous Munich resident DJ in the past 10 years for instance at the famous Zombocombo freaktheatre.

Limited remastered reissue of the hugely in demand 12' release of Pedestrians' super phat slice of Balearic grooviness 'Commuter Fantasy'. Massive on the Cosmic scene after being championed by DJs Daniel Baldelli and Beppe Loda, this record is extremely hard to get hold of in the original and commands super-high prices in internet auctions. Despite being created by successful UK pop production duo Swain and Jolley, this only ever came out as a limited 12' in Canada never getting a US or UK release but its Italo-esque slow-building dreamily insistent sound has secured it a dedicated following amongst discerning disco and Balearic lovers since. Essential!

Onur Engin hits us again with an another lovingly crafted edits in an another 12". First off we get a wonderful edit of Tatsuro Yamashita's "Love Talkin". A rare boogie-disco masterpiece of this legendary japanese musician gets Onur's unique treatment for today's dancefloors. On the flip, we got a killer disco edit of turkish singer Senay's "Kent Yasami". Double A sides beautifully mastered at 45rpm. Limited to 750 copies, no-repress, no-digital.

Cosmic Boogie and Andy Ash bring you a second Boogie Originals EP, featuring new cuts from themselves, plus remixes from Toby Tobias and Soul Renegades.

First up is Cosmic Boogie's 'Feel It', a midtempo piano house track that rolls on the back of delicious disco percussion and a distinctly old skool vocal sample. Toby Tobias remixes, infusing the original's rolling groove with a darker vibe and a touch of space disco.

Edit king Leo Zero returns with something very special to kick off a new run of no frills dancefloor bombs that have been tried and tested over the summer on a packed worldwide DJ schedule from Stockholm to Tokyo and beyond. First up is an intensive slice and dice exercise on probably the best track from definitely the best band in the world : The Clash. Leo takes their most disco friendly outing 'The Maginificent Dance' famously spun by Mr Levan at the Garage - and with the more dubby rare Levan version he homes in on looped 1 bar sections, skating along to create a new arrangement - added to the brew are bootleg recordings form the Clashe's infamous live show at NYC's Bonds Ballroom, and even some baseline demos digitally siphoned from people practicing guitar along to The Clash on Youtube!..... we are left with is an epic labour of love edit that has already found it's way into the a-listers record boxes - from Derrick Carter to Laurent Garnier who are all spinning this solid as a rock Dub Disco bomb.
On the flip we have a classy house re-work of Al Hudson & Partner's 'Music' which sticks a chi-town kick and snare up it's rear end along with some serious sub bass, and in the middle things get all wobbly with some trademark Leo Zero space echo rides and before we are quickly warped back-in and onto the floor... big with a load of top jocks too including Severino of horse Meat Disco fame.

Huge disco- funk action on the new DM A-side once again with Belle Epoque - Bamalama getting the Todd treatment in fine style .Flip for the heavily-sampled Peech boys - Don't make me wait (Todd Terje edit) and the classic Thin Lizzy - Fox on the run (Todd Terje remix) and it all adds up to a killer release

A nice 3 track release with a dope ALEXKID remix on the flip side. As you can see from the promo feedback ALEXKID is getting a lot of love for his remix! super deep chuggy house at its pinnacle. Grand work ALEXKID (applause now)!

Listening to the latest 12' from Tom Giles, you'd be forgiven that he went to sleep some time in 1983 and was roused from his slumbers, like some Arthurian knight, to save England from its obsession with faux-retro micro-genres. His studio, hidden out in the wilds of Hackney Wick, is certainly worthy of a disco Rip Van Winkle - it's stacked to the rafters with enough vintage kit to make any decent producer want to go straight home and start listing their internal organs on eBay.
