LIMITED release (no repress) 300 units hand numbered, stamped copies with insert.

After the first Jam experiment back in 2019 here we have the second chapter of the Bosconi Gang Band session pressed on this limited white label hand stamped & numbered waxx.
This jam was recorded in front of an actual crowd in an event held at Manifattura tabacchi Florence on the 21st February 2020 just a couple weeks before the pandemic started and the first lockdown happened in Italy.
The concept is the same as the previous one with Fabio Della Torre on the mixer conducting the gang mysitc gulf this time with: from left to right Ennio Colaci from Minimono, Dukwa, Rufus, Andrea Giachetti & Antonio Pecori from "The Clover" and Dj Rou.
As it happened with the previous release, the actual jam follows the order of the live execution which naturally developed in a crescendo of speed and intensity.
The result is a collection of 5 of the best takes slightly mixed and revisited afterwards but very much faithful to those performed live.
This is another adventurous release that goes well off grid, plays with strange temps, original textures and moods.
Bosconi Gang Band aims to be an itinerant live improvisational project open to all artists who have released on Bosconi Records that sets the goal of always being unpredictable and special, naturally affected by the artists who perform always creating something unplanned new, and unexpected.

The 1979 Jimmy ‘Bo’ Horne gem, “Spank” was an essential DJ tool from back in the day. It was then dubbed out by Brooklyn Express in ’81 and called “Sixty Nine”, with it’s alternative on the flipside being called “Change Position 88”! Fast forward to recent times this gem’s been operated on by Dutch big hitter, HP Vince (Midnight Riot, Tropical Disco, Masterworks, Samosa, King St etc) where he stays true to the original.

On the flipside present-day Nu-Disco royalty the Dr Packer (Glitterbox, M2MR, Salsoul) presents his new version, never before available on vinyl. The Dr revives and prescribes jams like no other and delivers yet another party monster.

Brand new label Four Framed Music kicks off with a fantastic four track EP from Manuold.

Emanuele Macagnone aka Manuold was born in Palermo in Italy and is a producer, remixer and DJ who has released on legendary labels like Kerri Chandler’s Madhouse Records, Esuoh Records, We_r house and Crystal Grooves.

He brings his many inspirations to the fore here right from the off. Life is Now pumps a slick 90s house vibe with swirling pads and a standout vocal. It’s full of warmth and soul and then Intense cuts up a more funky groove, with weighty kicks swinging down low and a killer bassline. The vocal really soars and brings a fiery vibe. On the flipside Metropolis then layers a classic vocal sample over glitchy drums and slick tech beats. It’s robust and designed to make a real impact in the club and last of all Palermo Centrale flies ahead on swirling cosmic pads, with wood block hits, raw textures and future facing vibes.

This is another fresh EP from the always essential Manuold.

Proto-future Pop exhumed from '86, Romie Singh's 'Dancing to Forget', could easily be mistaken for an up-to-the minute R&B instrumental from '22. The song's elastic swing reminiscent of a vintage Wally Badarou Compass Point session. Instead masterminded by studio maestros Günther Janssen (more lately of Donna Regina) & Peter Hantke, while Romie's vocals soar above. It's a timeless call to escape life's ill's via the dancefloor.

Collected here on Strangelove the cavernous, dubbed out 'D.T.F.' (12" version) sits alongside the prescient hope/dystopia of LP cut 'Future World' (cue Covid World) and the killer balearic-beat sass of 'Credo' A short sharp 3 track jolt into the trio's cult 80's catalog. Shouts to Basso for the original resuscitation!

2001: Guillaume Atlan is nominated with 'Starlight' at the MTV Awards in the best French artists category. 20 years later, the first generation French Touch (Modjo, Demon, Cassius, Stardust, Etienne de Crécy etc.) is almost gone. Among the few still active, The Supermen Lovers, who will release his fourth studio album, 'Body Double', end of May.

A reference to Brian de Palma's film and its perfect plastic, the disc bears witness to the many artistic encounters and tumults of love that feed Guillaume during his trip to Kyiv from 2018 to 2020. Love can move mountains but can also destroy a man. Demons and emotions will make him go back to the studios, firstly in Kyiv, which reminds him of Paris in the 90s : strong energy, a thirst for discovery, creation and pure spontaneity. Straddling 2 musical bodies, the heart of Body Double balances between vocal electro-disco and clubbing, without forgetting this analog/digital jumble dear to Guillaume. He is an electro producer, a DJ, but above all a multi-instrumentalist. Machines in contact with “real” instruments…

Six years after delivering his debut album - a digital-only affair called TruSkool - Demuir has finally got round to recording a follow-up. The Toronto native's brand of house is chunky, groovy, deep and funky, taking cues not only from previous collaborators such as DJ Sneak, but also those of his contemporaries that make great use of dusty samples and killer drum programming. As a result, Visions manages to work both as a collection of club-focused cuts and an album you can listen to repeatedly from start to finish. Our picks of a pleasingly strong bunch include the fluid, disco-tinged, Hipnotic-sampling brilliance of 'Mind, Body & Soul Call Me', TUSH hook-up 'Skylar' (a superb slab of gospel-tinged soulful house) and the delicious Fred P collaboration 'Dream (Part II)'.

Three generous portions of blissful beats on the Electric Shrine imprint, kicking off with the downbeat (in BPM terms) but lively 'Solar Visions' coming on like a dub mix of a lost Chic classic, 'What You Love' more like prime-era John Carpenter remixed by a mischievous Orb and 'Un Amore Supremo' a slow motion (one of the slowest we've ever encountered) reverb-fest, designed for more eccentric chillout rooms. And that's all before the opera singer pitches in.

Although he's been releasing music since the tail end of the noughties, it's a while since vinyl lovers got the chance to hear fresh material from Trevor Vichas. This surprise 12" for the fast-rising Purveyor Underground Ltd label is therefore a welcome surprise. On title track 'Miss Nice' Vichas wraps jazzy guitar, keys and vocal samples around a chunky, loopy, filter-sporting deep house groove. Demarkus Lewis successfully takes the track up a notch or two on his accompanying remix, before Vichas doffs a cap to the jazz-fired Chicago boompty sounds of Greens Keepers and Mike Dixon on 'Monday Jazz'. The Come Connect mix of that track, which rounds off the EP, is a pleasingly bumpy, bass-heavy and energetic revision that's crying out for peak-time plays.
