Poker Flat continue their welcome foray into vinyl-only releases - following Kindimmer's fine Wax Substance EP - with four deep morsels from Pavel Iudin (or Paul Yudin, as he's occasionally known in anglophone circles.) Now respected resident at St. Petersburg's Stackenschneider club, Iudin has developed a real feel for deep, dubby dancefloor-oriented tech house. And Waxology is no exception. The title track is a luxurious meditation - layered, thoughtful with subtle builds and shifts. This is precision-engineered deep house, fine-tuned to send you into head-nodding ecstasy. A 'Tokamak' - for those who don't know - is a kind of experimental, Russian doughnut designed to confine plasma for nuclear fusion. In other words, it's futuristic, profound and utterly enveloping - which is exactly what Iudin delivers on this circling, bubbling groove. Meanwhile, the dubby foundation of 'Anchor' is contrasted by echoing chimes, crisp percussion and shimmering timbres that whizz in and out of earshot, while 'Charmel' is deeper still, a booming kick married to a sinuous bassline to fashion a heavy dancefloor stomper.

This record was written with the intention of conveying classic aspects of house music. Track names such as Paradise Garage', The Warehouse' and Zanzibar Club' come from monumental clubs that helped shape the history of House. It's true roots in Chicago (The Warehouse), to New York City (Paradise Garage) and New Jersey (Zanzibar Club). This 12'' features an heavy low end bass line surrounded by a fuzzy acid, brisk and grubby house beat, lush chords deliberately sitting alongside with crispy clear high end vocals. Cristi Cons and Vlad Caia are household names that really need no further introduction. Their dj sets are techno stories well told and their live act is already making waves worldwide. Amphia is first and foremost the platform they use to broadcast their finest works. Such is the case of Sideways, their latest LP, containing more than a dozen tracks coming your way trilogy style.
The first part reveals six tracks on two heavyweight discs. Although most of the tracks fit the usual SIT musical approach, the listener is greeted with a wide pallete of rhythms. Assemble is an atmospheric dub infused with violins and orchestral echoes. Permissive starts things up with a playful bass progression and continues with lush pads and cryptic voices. Brooklyn's deep moody synths and monster groove render it broken poetry at it's best. For sure it will resemble those early danceable mornings. On a more joyful manner we are presented next with Bootcamp's sturdy baseline and playful modulated vocals.
Mandatory claims a whole side of the second disc and so does Come Around. While the first is almost experimental but danceable and warm due to the occasional driving percussions and 303 sounds the latter is the star of the show. Come Around is 15 minutes long and comes with a story too. A great collection of tracks, a great story that backs each one of them makes the first part of the Sideways LP trilogy a treat to listen and dance to.

The latin american influences embedded in "Choice Of Ancillaries" leave us hints of its vivid melody surfacing beneath its tight percussions. London based punk duo Black Volume are not easy to classify.
Their delirious industrial post punk sounds at times like proto house and at times becomes some sort of mutant electro. Their B Series sound is made of a conglomerate of filthy percussions, unexpected samples and something with the appearance of melody, with a weirdly addictive result.
Black Rubber is James Brown wearing black leather at 40ºC (in the shade) while suffering a mental breakdown. Excentric melodies sliding down rhythmic dislexia. Negative Return blooms from an improvised beat with no traceable sequence, on top of which we find rubbery synth lines, creamy interferences and mysterious sampling, everything sounds like melting from old vhs footage
With The Future we enter a romantic dystopia. Sensual and passionate but equally crunchy, it rises up through cheap calculator arpeggios, pitched vocals and obsessive bass lines.
Streetfight evoques a desolate landscape, devastated and radioactive. Distant echoes from an extinguished human race that left behind only majestic rusty ruins.

Welcome back, Okain! After his digital label debut 'Some Of My Tools' and his praised collaboration with ONNO resulting in their conjunctional 'Triple O' EP Samuel Thalmann a.k.a. Okain is about to unleash four brand new tunes on his forthcoming Upon.You-single 'Coma". Timeless as timeless can get and a future classic for sure. Finally with 'Untitled Three' things are getting a little techy for a reason. Banging drums, razorblade hi-hats and woodwork percussions are setting the pace for the ultimate seduction brought to you by Yello'esque male vocal bits, more Chicago referring basslines and on point chords reverberating and bouncing off each other into spiralling eternity.

Die Orakel presents two reinterpretations by Edward of Krautrock excursions - originally recorded by Harmonia and Brian Eno in 1973 and 1976. Harmonia is a Krautrock/Kosmische Musik group from Germany - formed as a collaboration of Michael Rother of Neu!, Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Möbius of Cluster 1973. In the same year, the song Sehr Kosmisch' was released on the band's debut album Musik von Harmonia". In September 1976 Brian Eno and Harmonia then collaborated and recorded Atmosphere' at the band's studio in Forst, Germany. However, the song was not released until 1997 as the tape was considered lost for almost twenty years. Who would be more suitable to remix original Krautrock material than Gilles Aiken, better known as Edward Considering his latest productions, Edward mostly works within house and techno templates while echoing Krautrock figures like Connie Plank. He is recognized for producing filigree club tracks that come with a spiritual edge. Over the years, this combination has made him a mainstay of Berlin's White label as well as Weimar's esteemed Giegling crew.

Lee Webster's Soul Reply EP kicks of the year for IUTSAN with two contrasting, yet seemingly connected tracks.
On the 'chocho' side you'll find 'Soul Replied' - a low slung love song with Moodymann-esque sampling and swung-out drums, dipping out occasionally as the female vocal comes in like a lullaby. In contrast on the 'culo' side, you'll find 'Devils Avocado' - an Ibiza terrace style jam that builds from the cutting synth line, a crescendo that finally drops into a total DC10 Weapon.

This vinyl EP is a collaboration between Paris label CORRESPONDANT and Germany's GOMMA records. Remixes by Los Angeles' finest psychedelic electronic producer SECRET CIRCUIT (Beats in Space records) and German shooting star LAUER (partner of Gerd Janson at Tuff City Kids). Why this EP Gomma has a long history with the Paris scene. Mathias 'Munk' Modica who runs Gomma (and sublabel Toy Tonics) has been living in France for many years. He worked with many Parisian artists from DJ Chloe (on Munk's first album Aperitivo 2004) to the Ed Banger Crew or Black Strobe. Probably apart of Berlin there is no city in the world that saw more Gomma events than Paris. Seems only a project with Jennifer Cardini missed. So Jennifer invited Mathias last year to send over tracks. Decision was made fast. And so Wurlitzer Wank and The Bösus Bounce have come up on Correspondant.

Gabriele Carasco (The Code Studio Berlin) after his EP on Fasten and Amam, where he received numerous feedback from various artists including: Luciano, Radio Slave, Marco Carola, Agoria, Âme, etc, in 2014 he joined the catalog RoundQubeMusik. 3 deep tracks of its own kind. groovy and minimal , with a touch as a musician.

Born in the distinctively Puerto Rican neighborhood of Lincoln Park Chicago, Ricardo was named after legendary Salsa singer Ricardo Ray. After major Puerto Rican displacement (urban renewal) Ricardo's parents settled in the Noble Square section of West Town for many years.

His music reflects a traditional House culture that goes beyond just sound or legendary stories. While his industry peers recite fond memories of The Music Box, The Bismark and other musical institutions - Ricardo sat in front of a big Pioneer Radio listening & recording mixes from Chicago radio stations WRRG, WBMX AM/FM & WGCI which included a hefty dose of early House Music, Italian Imports and Electro. But, it was the new sound of Chicago House that made a profound impact on his soul.

As a thirteen year old, when not infuriating teachers by pounding House beats on his desk, he was creating crude pause cassette tapes to a wood panel tape deck. Then in 1986 Ricardo got a taste of producing when his older brother brought home a newly introduced Casio RZ-1 & Casio CZ1000. Even though he was forbidden to touch the equipment it was the main thing he looked forward to whenever his brother was away. Later that year he was passed down some rough dj equipment from a dj friend which gave Ricardo the opportunity to play all the records in the household.

When the time came to pursue his artistic passion professionally, Ricardo created hundreds of rough tracks to ready himself. A chance meeting with musical genius Glenn Underground led to his assistance on Ricardo's first single "Termino Mi Amor" which Louie Vega signed almost immediately. As his knowledge and experience continued to grow, Ricardo began to create many memorable compositions on various labels even as the industry was undergoing major changes.

Currently, Ricardo is charted on endless playlist under his many guises: the Latin Soul Brothas, Yonurican, Defend:R,
******************* and of course Ricardo Miranda.

Layering dubby percussion with melodic chords and rich, atmospheric pads, their track Synthesizer On My Knees', is a deep venture for the duo and continues to stretch the scope of the Cahoots sound.
Music is the Message' by We Are Mam brings an old school flavor that will keep heads nodding from start to finish. Living in Tuscany with an eye towards Chicago, Marco Celeri, under the moniker We Are Mam, brings his version of jack to Cahoots with right and tight percussion against filtered keys, string stabs and sampled vocals. Chock full of classic sounds, Marco's inspired productions can be found on labels such as Back to You and Legendary Sound Research. Additionally, Marco operates his label Roots Underground Records, releasing underground cuts heavily influenced by the old school.
Flipping the script on the B-side is Grooveat' by Ruff Stuff with a stomping beat, warehouse vibe, and a magnetic vocal that bring grit with a touch of soul to the dancefloor. A collaboration between Francois Le Roy and Nanni, the Ruff Stuff sound sits at the intersection of House, Techno & Garage, with a lookout towards the new school sounds of today. She Loves It / Somewhere by Kirik follows iO(mulen)'s EP released lately last year. Opener "She Loves It" layers graceful elements, drifting sounds, pirouetting percussion and lets them slowly roll in like a thick fog. Bvoice,Anrilov & SickDisco deliver a more minimalistic version of "She Loves It". This guys are a great trio from Moscow, analog gurus, already released on Pro-Tez, Highway, Time Has Changed, Body Parts. On the other side we have another piece of material from Kirik called Somewhere, which does the same job with similar elements. Its melodious drum loop is the fulcrum around which densely layered hi-hats, shakers and various pads bounce and rotate. Label boss, Dirty Culture deliver a more driven house version of Somewhere, a more digestiv aproach. Good vibes and melodic grooves from eastern Europe, on wax!

Up next on for the 4th installment of Deep Tech Records Vinyl series we have compiled a very special release by the production team of Italian National, Sonartek, alongside Wavetech Label boss, Gorbani entitled 'La Fleur'

A collection of their latest two original production which showcase their affinity to the ever popular, ever morphing Deep and Minimal genres.

On its A-side we find the Original sharing the releases name, La Fleur, a rolling Dub, Minimal production which delivers a groovy and deep bass line that is the epicenter of the arrangement and its progression. A minimalistic percussion arrangement further heightens the complexity of this production and adding dimension and depth.

On remixing duties of La Fleur we welcome non other then one of Desolat's well known members, Yaya. Delivering a more Deep Tech version of its original counterpart with the use more organic drum and percussion elements, layered sub bass and bass lines and the effective use time based effects to further add depth and color to this rendition.

On Its B-Side we start you up with the Original production 'Marzipan' a darker, even deeper composition that will test your senses as it plays with the listeners perception with the playfulness of its elements. Still the usual culprits for ingredients as its A-side counterpart but the subtle use of time based effects, artifacts and textures as well as the arrangement takes this production to a new level of intricacy with its structure.

On remixing duties for 'Marzipan' we find non other then label head Duky, with his blend of Minimal ingeniuty takes us further deeper down the proverbial rabbit hole and delivers a Deep Dark and Moody Minimal rendition, perfect contrast to complete a release that promises to have something for every Tech, Deep, Dub, Minimal lover.

Following the launch of his limited multi edition FORMAT project in February, Trevor Jackson releases a collected triple LP edition via The Vinyl Factory on the 18 May featuring 13 tracks including an exclusive bonus cut not available on any of the initial releases.

FORMAT is the first album from Trevor Jackson since his acclaimed Playgroup album back in 2001. His Output Recordings label (1996-2006) introduced the world to the likes of Four Tet & LCD Soundsystem, His recent Metal Dance compilations reinvigorated interest in early industrial and experimental electronic dance music that's clearly had a powerful influence on much of today's leftfield club music.

FORMAT's initial limited edition release in February consisted of 12 separate physical releases each featuring a different track, available on 12', 10' & 7' vinyl cd, mini CD, cassette, USB, VHS, minidisc, DAT, 8 track + Reel to Reel this was no ordinary release - it charted the legacy of the physical music format, in a characteristically beautiful and uncompromising way. An accompanying installation at The Vinyl Factory space at Brewer Street Car Park in London offered people the opportunity to listen to the album as a unique audio-visual experience.

Curated from an archive of over 150 tracks Trevor had built up over the past 2 decades, the inspiration for Jackson's music, has come from 'the times and places where genres weren't quite formed.' While his synth and beatbox workouts might touch on proto-house, on new wave, on Italo and techno, on ambient and psychedelia, they are at the same time none of these things.

The excellent Apparel label returns with a new reworking of the superb single 'Spread Love' from much lauded Turkish producer Sarp Yilmaz... Apparel Music has been releasing quality electronic sounds since 2009, focusing on it's own unique 'Jazzy' style that incorporates house, techno, electronica and more. Releases from label boss Kisk alongside producers such as Lopazz, Gavin Herlihy & Echonomist have helped make Apparel a highly respected label and a 'go to' for quality music. Istanbul based producer Sarp Yilmaz has been around for a few years now, but it's with his recent output, including his album for Apparel this year, that he has been gaining serious attention. Support from the likes of Maya Jane Coles, who played his music on Pete Tong's show and Osunlade, who described him as the 'best new artist around' in his Guardian interview, go to show that Yilmaz's time is very much now. 'Spread Love' featured on Yilmaz's recent album 'As If I Care' and was one of the highlights of the LP. Here it appears as a reworked version for this exclusive one-sided 12 release. The track is a superbly deep and warm slice of underground house that perfectly marries electronic elements with a subtle musicality. Rich keys and rolling bass join with the organic sounding percussion to create the perfect base for the atmospheric vocals, pure quality! There may only be one track on offer here, but it truly if something special and will no doubt further cement the reputation of Sarp Yilmaz and the excellent Apparel Music. words/ Julian Shay

Last year's album Couldn't See Too Clear For Edges' by The Marx Trukker stood proud as the Pluie/Noir's first Artist album. Despite being the imprint's one-and-only release in 2014,
it was without a doubt it's most introspective and musically refined output to date.
Pluie/Noir's curatorial decisions seem to consistently circle around a vast array of musical experimentation with command of a very personal (albeit peculiar) vision of futuristic dance
music. There's only a few number of ever-changing, self-upgrading chameleons in the music scene who seem to constantly give their best to stay updated, or even ahead of their
own time. Fumiya Tanaka is one of the world's best examples of this morphing behavior .
Not only is he the Japanese reference to skillful dj'ing with decades of fine music making and ownership of the first independent record music label in Japan (Torema), he's also one of the world's finest heroes of techno music. He has succeeded in keeping us engaged since the 90's, showing us all his skills from mental, fast-paced techno to his nowadays staggeringly
minimalistic approach to dance music.
Fumiya Tanaka's double-tracker Beautiful Town' was fully inspired by it's cover artwork:
a set of carefully selected old pictures with a layer of masterful signature paintings by Romanian artist and fine-arts student Bonjour Bonsoir . A-side's Abacus Avenue' is the
EP's most dense and eerie side. An addictive piece that utterly succeeds in sucking you right in like a vortex would. The locomotive bassline serves it's purpose of movement in a strong
loopy groove, while the pads and poltergeist'y sounds reformat our heads with an inability for space-time tracking. The otherside of this town, Himegami Marathon', is another mys-
teriously intricate work. It's a microcosm of grooves, sinister details and voices locked in a tight groove built on a single bass stab and a flowing, never-ending set of wet claps. A piano
kicks in at key points, alongside percussive elements, reminding us that this town is alive. As standard for Pluie/Noir, fully colored artwork cover and limited pressing.

Keep your eyes peeled for Warm Tapes Adjustment the new project that took place between Detroit and Berlin. The two sides of the same coin bring the name of Gari Romalis and SCM. to a galaxy of sound with galloping percussion and a classic techno layout. Using more 909
techno drum elements she creates a whirlwind of sound with a delicate touch.
Taking things a little bit deeper with Cosmic Karma' she presents a heavily detailed
drum structure full of violin experimentation that creates a dark atmosphere but still
bringing an uplifting and joyous vibe.
Finishing off the package is something unique from Fred P who Julie asked to remix for
her due to her enormous respect for him. The emotionally charged remix of Cosmic
Karma' shows a different side of Fred P while still keeping his signature sound in tact.
The remix takes us through an ever-evolving voyage through time and space.

Archipel Extra Supplies is the brand new sub-label of Montreal based label, Archipel Musique Canada. The idea of the new project is to focus on providing music enthusiasts with bonus music for their sets as well as listening purposes. The very first release is by Montreal based artist, Stefny Winter who emerges here with a wonderfully crafted tuned project. Slightly stripped down but at the same time, providing a low end, fizzle bass, Winter pushes hypnotic rhythms with a not so subtle smirk. A wink to Audion, or a Perlonesque aesthetic, this Ep ensues a groovy moment as well as heartily groove. As she sets the direction for future releases, Winter proposes a very promising EP that will for sure dig its way to any picky DJ's bag.

Retraieste Romaneste is a LP in which music speaks for it self, like the translation of the title Relive The Romanian Way' this original minimal and deep sound of young artist Dragutesku brings us one step closer to the roots. The track names are picked after the names of great romanian writers and poets from last century topped by the original artwork, this album makes us relive those moments of pure, inspiring originality once again.

Valioso013 comes this time from our beloved italian friend, Mattia Lapucci, his mixing skills are likewise his productions, just absolutely incredible. Minimal in his perfection with classy drums, trippy percussions and synths are involving through the whole room when you hear the Bonaffucci EP, but not only the originals are made of high quality sounds, regarding to the remixers section with Vera, famous for her appearance at Perlon, comes out with a very special remix as well as Piticu, the outstanding talent from Bukarest shows up with a drivy, romanian high class eat.

Minimood Extra's forthcoming release is a vinyl only, red 12" affair that features two novel reworks of dub techno wizard David Hausdorf's legendary Salo release 'Space Walk'. Germany's David Hausdorf has been turning out expertly crafted deep techno since the late nineties. He did so on labels like Synaptic Waves as well as Styrax Leaves, and in 2002 served up his classic 'Space Walk' on the epic Berlin based imprint Salo.
First up is the 2015 Version. It is a ten minute piece of heady, hypnotic techno with soft rubber drums, gently propulsive percussion and icy high-hats that add a real sense of scale and depth to the track. With slick boom-bap bite in the claps and hits, this is the sort of expertly reduced track that will lock dance floors in for hours.
Then comes the 2015 Reshape, which again makes full use of its 10 minute length. There is a little more edgy reverb in this one, the drums are more upright and the pads are a little more rippling and rolling. It's a liquid groove as a result, and one that is near faultless for the way it rolls on and on without any friction.
