Dan Tyler and Conrad McDonnell, aka Idjut Boys, are an English duo
whose dub-heavy home songs incorporate their playful love of life - The duo met in the late '80s in Cambridge discovering that they shared a passion for similar music - Soon after, both moved to London and established the U-Star parties - The Idjuts' fusion of dub, house, and techno soon caught on and landed them gigs DJing all over the world McDonnell and Tyler established U-Star Records in 1993, releasing their debut 12" Idjut Boy.

They continued releasing numerous 12"s throughout the 90's up to the current period consisting of original productions, along with remixes & re-edits of obscure and not-so-obscure material by other artists and a handful of DJ mixes.

A proper Idjut Boys studio album, Cellar Door, was released on Smalltown Supersound in 2012. This was followed by Versions, an album of reworks of material from throughout the duo's career, in 2015.On this 12" vinyl, the Idjuts remix a single, "What's Life" from De Lux's most recent Do You Need A Release.

One of the pioneers and long-standing masters of drum and bass, Jack Smooth returns with one of the most eagerly awaited releases of the year. This   sublime two-tracker shows Jack at his absolute best with the shimmering dream-like soundscape of Himalaya wonderfully complemented by the deepest bass and the cleanest beats. Sapphire's on the flip is just as strong making this a true double A side of the finest underground drum and bass.

Glaswegian House don Tiptoes offers up some absolute belters for his Record Business EP which chalks up his 3rd appearance on the Slothboogie label. The SB crew have been gagging to release these tracks ever since he dropped early demos at one of their infamous 24-hour parties at Sisyphos, Berlin that caused a mad rush to the booth and demands for track IDs!

The title track ‘Record Business’ is a peak time filtered House bomb that has been causing mayhem in sets over the past year… an absolute ear worm! 'Call Me' is another juicy slab of HOUSE that features looped up Motown licks, Jackin’ brass stabs and someone who is not very happy that Tiptoes hasn’t been returning her calls! Finishing off the A side is ‘Food’; the very essence of a ‘Deep House Roller’. Hypnotic tonal loops cycle over tribal drums which are guaranteed to lock any dance floor into a trance.

On the flip you’ll find Tiptoes dimming the lights and getting smokey as he explores his deeper side. ‘Brothers & Sisters’ supplies deep and hazy head nodding beats with clever MPC chops, blissed out keys and spoken word arrangements. ‘It’s Only Love’ sees Tiptoes bringing his motor city influences to the fore with looped up soul snippets, breathy KDJ inspired vocals, thumping lo-slung beats and chopped up string sections worthy of any car wash.

OG deep Miami deep house from 1990 on the repress tip - Essential purchase!

This one should need no intro - it's up there with the all-timers. Moody, sexy, emotive, epic - just some of the words you could use to describe 'Outta Limits'. Never out of style, existing in its own lane and a solid gold classic from day one, 'Outta Limits' takes us on a spiralling bassline journey into our own consciousness with its hypnotic spoken word samples and sultry female vox . Mission Control is Aldo Hernandez & Ralph Falcon, 2 members of the extended Murk / DSR crew out of Miami. They've been responsible for numerous underground and club classics since the very early 90's and their sound continues to be a huge influence on producers and DJs today. BURNING HEAT is a potent tincture, a focused distillation now years in the making. Carefully chosen from over 20 new productions and extensively play-tested at parties across New Orleans and beyond, BURNING HEAT is the latest collaborative effort by locals Quickweave (Jalen Dilosa) and Redance (David Yaconi); a split EP forthcoming on Hiatt dB’s New Orleans-based Mystery Zone Records July 1st 2022.

The 180-gram 12 inch features 2 tracks from each artist along with a pair of remixes split evenly between the “WHITE HOT” and “RED HOT” sides courtesy of Toronto’s Nick Holder and NYC’s AceMo, respectively. Its sound draws inspiration from the lessor-dug House stylings of the early 00s. With BURNING HEAT, Quickweave and Redance have repositioned the era’s lush textures and sensual atmosphere against heavier rhythms and more circular, hypnotic arrangements. The result? Deep club workouts focused on fostering connection, joy and romance on the dancefloor.

These hard-hitting, DJ-friendly productions were made in part to power the duo’s post-lockdown come-back party venture, Mercy. Early demos and updated edits became part of the sound of our collective reconnection as lockdowns relaxed and infection numbers fell in Summer 2021. On BURNING HEAT you’ll hear late-night New Orleans in the dead of Summer – warm and inviting club cuts to soundtrack a low-lit, neighborhood backroom disco-dive. Polished from a trove of DJ tools made for the artists’ personal sets, this selection features nothing but guaranteed party-starters, vetted both in the studio and behind the booth.

Collectable FF release alert by E.R.P. aka Convextion aka Gerard Hanson..

The man with the tear-jerking string electro-techno, maybe even better known for pioneering Texas rooftop alligator wrestling. Highly recommended!!

Suena Hermosa return with their 10th imprint on wax, the first imprint of what is also the label’s celebratory 10th year of releasing exclusively on wax… This very special edition of the original SH vinyl series presents the incredibly talented Glasidum, one of the most prevalent artists on the scene to keep an eye out for in the times to come, hailing from Argentina, with his fierce debut stamp on the label, and a truly epic journeyman remix from none other than the legendary founder of tech house and the renowned Wiggle (London) movement, Terry Francis.

Some releases are instant classics and some become future classics!

When first released in 2005, it sold slow so some of the copies were returned to the label. Sadly because of where they were stored, they got flooded making them unsuable.

I approached Vincent to get this one reissued cause it made me shout out DAMN! when I first heard, so had to get my hands on it!

Sadly, after speaking to him, I realized this idea of an reissue is far away, cause the files were on a old Hard Drive, but which one?

Of course we weren't the first people to ask about it, and Vincent already searched a lot for the tracks, so it really seemed impossible.

Personally I never believed in Christmas Miracles, but after Vincent reached out to me on Christmas Eve, after more than 1 year searching for the files, I realized there is a force in the Universe that wants good records to get reissued.

A much awaited and appreciated release, spun in sets and mixes by some of the top dogs around the world, resurfaced from the depths, remastered, cut and pressed for all of us to enjoy!

Evasione Digitale is a new label devoted to the Italian Progressive sound of the 90’s. The label is kicking off with the reissue of "Punto G,” the sought-after Italian Techno 12” originally released on Spock in 1995, under the umbrella of Leo Mas, Gemolotto and Fabrice. The "Triade,” with their influential labels, coined a trademark sound for the city of Udine, creating a solid acid kingdom and giving space to modern experiments.

Produced by Fabrizio Vascotto (Skeela) and local dj Marco Bellini, resident in cult clubs like Area City and Aida, "Punto G" sees the light again via Torino and Berlin.

The elusive Hackney basement dweller Alpha Delta colloquially known as Alpha D drops his debutsingle “The Moat” as the very first 12” output on the mysterious new hybrid Berlin++Sydney based label Delphic Iris Records. The headline single inspired by a faithful rave session in Croatia whereAlpha D was simultaneously emotionally touched, scarred and sonically pummelled by kick drums ata wild and stormy Dimensions Festival.
This dark techno beast was the aggressive, distorted acid offspring of that faithful night ravingbetween the mud and tears of the crowd at the formidable Moat stage at Punta Christo. His OG Mixis classic 132bpm heavy pounding acid techno at its moodiest. In the Remix department we have support from the entire Delphic Iris Records crew on this one. Afitting introduction to the labels sound. Sydney based Drox of Analog Cabin fame has a low end electro bass bin rattler for us that delvesinto melancholic and psychedelic 303 territory, deep, minimal and functional a perfect mid setgroover in our opinion. Critical Automator takes us on a deep and elegant techno journey transcending both murky seasand lush hazy skies in his dub mix. Definitely dialled back from the OG mix but there is no shortage ofkick drum energy in this one. 16 Faces cooks up complex drum work and funk driven baselines in a hybrid 146 bpm number that’sa just a touch rave, grime and idm in his 5am mix. The off beat stabs and euphoric strings areplentiful, more than enough to get your through any wobbly kneed sunrise.

DMX Krew announces his return to Peggy Gou's Gudu Records with a new four-track EP, sharing the dreamy, Detroit-inspired title track, ‘Return to Jupiter’.

The full EP - out 14th April 2023 - will be his second release for the label and Gudu’s first release of 2023, set to be the label’s busiest year yet.

Ed DMX made his debut for Gudu with 2019’s Don’t You Wanna Play? EP, becoming the first artist to release on the label outside Peggy herself. Ed and Gudu have retained a regular working relationship ever since: he mastered Indonesian crate-digger Dea’s ‘Glazer Drum’ release for Gudu, contributed a pair of remixes to the reissue of Riff’s South African electro curio ‘Jacks Jive’, and now returns to the label with Return to Jupiter, a new original four-track EP.

Ed has been one of electronic music’s most respected faces for over 25 years. Debuting in the mid-1990s, he released his first decade of music almost exclusively through Grant Wilson-Claridge and Aphex Twin’s Rephlex label and his own Breakin’ imprint, but recent years have seen him ply his trade across a who’s who of dance music’s most respected underground labels: including Hypercolour, Balkan Vinyl, Central Processing Unit and, of course, Gudu.

Inspired by the futurist funk and vivid synthesiser epics of classic Detroit, ‘Return to Jupiter’ is dripping with richness and colour, driven by the sort of thick analogue basslines and distinctive melodies that have come to define Ed’s catalogue. The EP’s title track sets the tone for what’s to follow, introducing a language of sorts for the record - before ‘Altered Chords’ turns the funk up to 11, ‘U Ain’t Down’ aims its distorted kicks and wiggy, manipulated lead straight at peak time dancefloors, and ‘I Love Juan’ closes the EP on a star-gazing tip.

Founded by Peggy Gou in 2019, Gudu releases music from a global roster of artists, including DMX Krew, Maurice Fulton, Hiver, Dea, Mogwaa, Brain de Palma, Dukwa, JRMS and Peggy herself (including the hits ‘Starry Night’, ‘I Go’ and ‘Nabi’). 2023 will see Gudu’s busiest year to date, with new releases scheduled from the current roster and some exciting new faces.

Saturn Drive’s 3rd installment welcomes minimal-house champion, Federico Molinari. As expected, his EP “Doscientos” is a touch of class: subtle and funky. The EP is supported by a lush remix by none other than Berlin based duo, Cab Drivers. Enjoy the ride!

Genius of Time for Running Back! Finally Making the esteemed 'Juno Jam' - known and dearly loved since John Talabot's DJ-Kicks contribution - available to a wider public for the first time, the Gothenburg couple draw a whole tribal-vodoo-house-ep around it. Percussion happy and as spiritual as a Green Mass, it would make Joe Claussell proud. Bass drum, djungel muzik!

Genius of Time (aka Arkajo & Dorisburg) return to Aniara with four fresh house cuts. The A-side features the uplifting grooves, chords and strings of "CS70 House" and "Stream", while the flip side brings the pure groove of "909 Day" and the atmospheric rhythms of "Lurar i skuggan".

Gjidoda Music comes with mute city release that presents the underground city vibe-sound and is shaped on music sound by retaining minimal dub dark tune street-elements

Unique music, modern photography and minimalist design are the three pillars that set this label in motion. Our team don't impose our opinion on you, we just want to share it with you.

Following contributions from Carl Craig, Stacey Pullen and Wajeed, Swiss DJ and producer Mirko Loko steps forward to mix the fourth volume of Planet E's mix series, Detroit Love. Active since the late nineties when he first began DJing in the clubs of Lausanne, Switzerland, Mirko Loko has always felt a deep connection to the music of Detroit. Having been personally invited by Carl Craig to play at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2001, that connection has stayed consistent and electric ever since. Mirko Lokois also known as a Cadenza mainstay and a curator of Verbier's Polaris Festival, but the music of the Motor City has been the guiding force of his creative career.

Constantly searching, not wishing an end, prefer a surprise, not everything planned, so you will always be in the new age of earth.

AI-34 arrives from Toki Fuko. Known previously for his contributions of deep and hypnotic techno, he presents on Astral Industries further development of his sound in this long-form work. A two-part sojourn into vibrant organic soundscapes and liminal sonic archaeologies, ‘Spirit Medicine’ is an ethereal yet human-centric venture into the realms of consciousness.

Soft chimes mark the opening, making way for expansive pads and the emergence of a bristling jungle panorama. Solitary flute melodies call out to the valley, riding over a bed of drones and earthy rhythms. Later juxtaposed with broadcasted voice samples, the natural fabric ruptures with exposed layers spilling through, only to fade back into the ether. Perhaps a memory, or the momentary glimpse of a parallel reality…

Part Two adopts an equally atmospheric flavour, substituting fauna and flora for deconstructed, psycho-somatic mysteria. Overall darker in tone, broken beats combine with avant garde adornments, underpinned by a subtle existential narrative. Wading through a wilderness of eerie remembrances, their starkness is counterbalanced with a peaceful return - a form of clarity and reconciliation that the listener is offered in the final act.

Following his recent Australian tour, Modeight label mastermind Silat Beksi now connects the dots between Europe's thriving minimal underground and the emerging scene down under by showcasing Aussie modular specialist Venda for Modeight's 8th vinyl release. After early 12" outings on Norse Projekt & Subsonic Music, Venda now presents his most accomplished work to date - the darkly accented and introspective "Ovio" EP.

Here is more definitive sonic proof that there is something special brewing on the island continent. With the Aussie revealing 3 deeply rhythmic cuts, awash with subtle artefacts and submersive hues. His dynamic approach to production results in a perfect union with Modeight here, as the imprint continues to explore the farthest realms of minimal music.

Back at it with number 20 in or DRB series.
This one exploring various moods of speed garage. Four hammers produced by the formidable duo Dubplate Pressure.

Dark and twisted techno cuts by PWCCA, who already delivered outstanding releases on Oscar Mulero’s Warm Up, Bas Mooy’s Kazerne, Modularz or Granulart. Played and supported by The Advent, Luke Slater, Tommy Four Seven, Alexander Kowalski, Takaaki Itoh, Flug, Alex Bau, Pfirter, Pulso and many more.

The vinyl is strictly limited to 100 copies

Hot off the heels of a fast sold-out first release, Gideön returns to his very own Homo-Centric, and we expect this banging collection of steaming dancefloor fillers to follow the same path. Unmissable for the house music fans !

Henrik Schwarz'first work for Running Back and concurrent solo piece since 2013 is a prime example of the man's uncanny production abilities. Recent years saw Schwarz more and more gravitating towards the intersections between electronic music and jazz, classical compositions or african sounds than serving the weekly bread and butter at clubland's busy buffet car. Now, Not Also You is a return to exactly that honourable craft and service. Built around an imagined and imaginary curtain lecture from a saint to a sinner and housed in one of Henrik's 'most techno' looking robes as of yet, it's a no-brainer or shall we dare say a reaper of a track - without frills but with a Fata Morgana like rave signal. Oh, there is a dub for snobs (Not You Also), too. Peak time, high time, any time. Nice sleeve on top.

The long awaited 6th release on Neighbourhood by the talented Reflec, coming with a mixture of breaks, techno, broken beat, lush pads, sweet melodies & everything in between. dBridge has put his unique twist on Spectra, tough snares, gnarly bassline & subtle acid licks. It's hard to pigeon hole this one!

We are the Knights Who Say... Ni!
Another episode of weird techno.
