* Roni Size is a name synonymous with both V Recordings and Drum & Bass. A real pioneer of the scene, and one of only a handful of names to transcend the genre to become a real household name. Both huge underground and mainstream success followed, along with the Mercury Music Prize as part of Reprazaent, and a discography of original productions and remixes that still stand the test of time and find themselves in constant rotation in clubland and on radio. With so many seminal moment peppered over the V's history this Legends series just wouldn’t be completely without some of Roni's many unreleased gems making an appearance.

* 'Operation X' finds Roni in a musical mode, with lush horn stabs and rolling drums. Produced circa 20001 this one is a personal favourite of Bryan Gee's who's championed it continuously over the years, and so will be familiar track for many, especially those regulars to the V podcast!

* The moment 'Synction' kicks in you know you've entered the world of Roni Size. More of a rarity into today’s digital world, Roni and all his bellow Bristolians who made up Reprazent and the Full Cycle family had an inimitable sound they made their own, which still resonates around the world to this day. A hypnotic intro breaks into an irresistible dancefloor workout which will make you wonder how this track was ever overlooked!

* The fourth part in this vinyl series, with yet more legends waiting in the wings. These are an absolute essential for vinyl collectors.

The musical journey through the seasons that began in 2012 with German Summer ends with German Fall. You can feel the melancholy that brings the end of the warm and bright days with it. A change in the state of mind towards the dark season. We tried to capture the beauty of this transition from bright to dark and turn the melancholy into something cheerful.

Purple Vinyl 2023 Repress

For the inaugural vinyl release of Psycho Bummer, we bring an EP from one of our label founders, DJ Scam (Brandon Ivers). Jungle and drum'n bass was the starting point for us as DJs, friends, and collaborators, so it seemed fitting to begin the story here.

The EP's opener, "Darkside Geezer", is a tribute to the transition point right before hardcore morphed into jungle in 1993. Although producers worked with a small palette of sounds back then, the emotion and freshness they were able to pull out of their limitations remains unrivaled. "Darkside Geezer" imagines an alternate reality of that period, drawing parallels between it and the transitions that 2020 brought us.

"Sodium Pentothal" is the roughest tune on this release, adopting the sonics of modern drum'n bass production, but channeled through the tropes of the music in its early stages. DJs like Sherelle, Tim Reaper, and Coco Bryce played a tremendous role in inspiring us (and keeping us sane) over the last year, so we wanted to stick to the tempo they helped rekindle.

The closer, "Black Swan", focuses on the simplicity of early hardcore and jungle, but breaks away with glassy chimes and a folding, geometric structure. Made with old samplers and tracker software, "Black Swan" was the first track Scam did for this release and it helped set the tone for what followed.

Psycho Bummer loves the feel of weighty vinyl, so we've opted for 180 gram pressings with a brilliant purple color. The album art, created by Canadian artist Ben O'Neil, is printed on a higloss laminant sleeve, which retains the striking colors of the original digital art.

repressed !

In 2020 we haven´t been dancing, we haven´t been clubbing neither have we been to festivals - it drove us all crazy. The pandemic has burned out dancefloors without a break but we at NBAST, we’re still moving. After all, we are all still here - intact - because we are so passionate about this music, just like you and so we wanna share new bits of our eleventh record with you soul sisters and brothers. For HDSN it was a turbulent year - career on hold, empty tour schedule, delayed releases and the break up of his long-term relationship kept our man testing to the bones. It´s nothing new that heartache has been one of the strongest inspirations for making music and so it turns out that all the drama around 2020 didn´t stop the young talent from making moves. Au contraire it has been a very driving force for the up and coming artist to craft new soul food for the people. “Break Ups To Make Ups” is a major statement! It´s moving and inspiring, as well as energetic and forceful; a record whose vibrations stun the spirit and lift the listener capturing the true essence what soulful dance floor music is about. HDSN continues to embrace disco and house pairing it with vintage sounds retaining his beautiful, raw and dancefloor friendly production signature. NBASTWAX011 has the power to make you move and, above all, the magic to make you feel much longer. #datsoulthang

As we get ready to say goodbye to the Telomere Plastic series, we are excited to present Telomere 020.1, aka the first part out of 5.
Each release will have four different artists, making it a compilation of twenty different artists who will deliver unique, juicy and eclectic frequencies that will keep your telomeres bopping for the rest of time!

This first VA, features producers, ESB, Synaptic Voyager, Vinaya and Vonsuck.

A1, Fancy Organ from Vinaya, is a sexy deep and house cut that is guaranteed to bring smiles all around the dance floor. Arpeggios and groovy bass lines galore. Prepare your piano hands because you will find yourself playing that sweet air organ on this one!

A2, Self Destruct Sequence from Synaptic Voyager (aka Telomere 014’s Illuminators), is a very emotional cut. Originally released digitally on Frame Of Mind, we were overjoyed to be given the green light to put this beauty on wax. Deep pads, tommy drums, hints of IDM and techno, and soul striking arpeggios pave the way for a special sonic journey. Close your eyes and melt away with this one!

B1, Keio Acid from ESB. We are always delighted to share more ESB with you. Elan’s love for analog and tape give off a raw and authentic energy that is hard to come by. This deep, jazzy and loopy cut will keep you on your toes from start to finish. We can only dream of being on the dance floor as this one plays out!

B2, Unemati from Vonsuck, is a deep and dubby cut that beautifully blends the three genres dub techno, house and techno. Dark rooms and dark skies are recommend for this one here, even though we could see these frequencies accompanied by a pink and red sunrise bringing waves of energy and nostalgia to your soul. Its a real treat to have Vonsuck aka Galaktlan on the Telomere series!

crystal transparent vinyl,

Hot on the heels of his releases on Kompakt, Helena Hauff’s Return to Discorder imprint, John Digweed’s Bedrock Records or
Science Cult, French Sailing Captain had to stop on parisian shores of Les Yeux Orange to refuel before extending his electronic
journey. He teams up here with legendary producer The Advent, delivering « Computer Monkey », a concept EP coming with relentless lyrics about egocentrism on social networks. Two awesome remixes by electro cult artists Legowelt and DMX Krew round up
the package made of crystal transparent copies with pixel art full color sleeves.

You're about to learn a new way to use a release. If this is your first experience with Monaberry, you're starting at a great time. If you've used "traditional" labels, you'll really appreciate the Monaberry difference. No more guessing what the crowd wants. No more memorizing long commands with names only a programmer could love. With Martin HERRS & Clemente you're in charge.

This chapter teaches what you need to know to use your power to create stunning sets. It all happens with Manifesto and the same techniques Ivory used to create a remix of this beauty.

Following on from Le Motel’s knockout release in February, Brussel-based producer DJ JM lands on Maloca Records with a new EP ‘Squash’. The prolific producer is known for his impressive output of production-only mixes and releases on labels such as Nervous Horizon, Goon Club Allstars, and Even The Strong. The DJ JM project was first established in Vilnius, Lithuania in 2015, becoming quickly known for off-kilter club records. Heavily driven by percussion, DJ JM continues his powerful stride, this time providing six weird and wonky dancefloor anthems. With the Maloca Records ethos built upon global collaborations, on this record DJ JM teams up with Ugandan MC Swordman Kitala on ‘Funicular’. Launching Maloca Records in 2020, Le Motel aims to bring together an international network of makers which was highlighted on the label’s first compilation, Maloca Vol. 1. The release focused on a terrestrial and borderless percussive sound that has been bubbling in clubs and Le Motel’s orbit, featuring tracks from Nick León, OMAAR, DJ JM, Dengue Dengue Dengue, Coen, DJ N.K. and Tsongo. Maloca has also released solo EPs from Howie Lee, Farsight and Griffit Vigo.

Sticky kick drums, grooving basslines and new wave/darkwave synths’ melodies sets the general mood, creating a fresh and sort-of-mysterious eighties atmosphere.

brilliant new 3tracker from the newest fumakilla-artists !!!

For our 4th original release we have a meeting of minds between two of our very close friends, Subb-an and Thoma Bulwer!

Made deep in the green countryside of Devon’s hills, before being adeptly finished off at TB Studios in Hackney Wick, the Devon Hills EP pulls together influences from 90’s tech house and early breaks to bring four driving and groove-laden tracks, functional but with heaps of soul.

The A side comprises two late night Autobahn bangers, rubbery misbehaved basslines and precise chord rhythms made to hypnotise the dance. Devon Hills is the most outspoken of the pair, with a loud chiming hook and an earwigging bleep melody, while DV-07 prefers to remain composed in its rolling bassline and sharp drum programming.

On the flip things go a little deeper with DV8, a padded out and chunky tribal breakbeat track with a deliciously crunchy snare. Closing out the four-track EP, East Wick lightens the mood with a sporadic break and bouncy synth melody, great afters tackle.

Boing… Boing… Boing. Release your release.

Fun for all the family. Release your release.

A four track full colour special edition vinyl from Mella Dee.

The lead ‘Riptide’, features original vocals from synth-pop trailblazer and founder of New Order/Joy Division Bernard Sumner. A slice of euphoria streaked with melancholy,

'Big Eff Off Groove' was the first track of the EP to be released as a single, following on it's massive Summer of 2022 where it garnered support across some of the biggest festival stages and clubs internationally. Mella Dee speaking on the record describes it as “Exactly what it says, heavy hitting no frills groove, complete with full on dubbed out effects. Enjoy.”!

Followed up with two cuts of rolling house music on track 'Find Love Yourself', the 'Deeper Love Mix' explores Mella Dee’s affinity for the murkier corners of dance music, whilst the original mix is a deep-in-the-dance groover paired with a haunting Little Dragon vocal sample.

Jade Seatle met Jane Fitz at tech-house haven Kerfuffle in Brixton around 2005 or 06 (they don't remember). They bonded that day over records, and a strange story about a pebble.
Disillusioned with parties in London, rather than moan, Jade and Jane decided to make their own. Night Moves was born in 2012, after Jade Seatle and Jane Fitz visited Jenifa Mayanja the Summer of 2011, at home in Connecticut, and promised her a party to play in London. What then evolved was a journey in music, gatherings and friendship, a lesson in how community can evolve from a dancefloor. Night Moves spawned Day Moves, Field Moves, a B2B partnership, and many, many ridiculous parties in a range of wonderful locations. The records on this release not only represent the sound of Night Moves - all are tried-and-tested NM greatest hits - but the sound that brought Jade and Jane together, informed what they do now, where they've been and where they are still to go.
For Those That Knoe is proud to invite Jade Seatle and Jane Fitz to present the Sound of Night Moves, only available on vinyl!

Of Paradise are known for their eclectic output that is impossible to pigeonhole. This three piece compilation is testament to that idea, featuring quality tracks from across the spectrum of club focussed music.

A Bunch Of Students is a project between Eduardo de la Calle and DJ Surgeles created by the two artists with the aim of collaborating together in the same direction, making the Ep of a four tracks a work tool that allows professionals and disc jockeys to express not only content predominantly sound reminiscent of science fiction filmography but also a less abstract easy-to-use tool with the aim of creating a more affordable work tool closer to the dance floor.

«Art is essentially personal and, in one way or another, reveals the artist’s self.»

Acid Jerks join the Refuge ranks with a lead cut build for those late-night sessions where you might forget your name. Heavily committed to their artistry, the peppered 909 groove paired with the guiding spoken word over rhythmic touches makes this a dancefloor weapon.

Part of the furniture when it comes to Melbourne’s Revolver. Boogs & Ben Silver combine a moodier and deeper perspective with this stomper. Eclectic drum sequence with warm stabs and the acid grooves give you the perfect record for those famous Revolver Sundays.

ADMN gets enlisted for a slow building chugger straight out of Detroit. Big, stompy drums with all the right amount of percs, an evolving acid line & chopped vocal. The windy and spacious attitude of this record delivers the warm up to close acid record we all needed.

This fifth EP in the Steve Rachmad re-issue series contains a colorful combination of three tracks from different releases. Side A brings the sought after track 'Teknitron', originally released on his 3rd EP, originally released under his short-lived alias Black Scorpion back in 1995. 'Transpose' is taken from his first Sterac EP from 1994, while the last tracks 'Alastria' comes from his second album Thera, originally released in 1998. All tracks are re-mastered of course. Steve Rachmad's richly melodic strain of techno has resulted in a huge body of work he has been growing since the early 90s. His sound is the perfect distillation of machine soul - dubby atmospherics and crisp, danceable dynamics balanced in perfect unison. Amsterdam's Delsin Records gathers together some of the Dutch techno figurehead's most important, sought-after works in a new EP series, all remastered from the original DAT tapes from Steve's archives.
