Topping off an incredible run that included last year's releases SICKO (KOMPAKT 322) and YOU ARE A BLADE (KOMPAKT 343), UK producer and long-time Kompakt ally REX THE DOG presents two brand new jams on TEUFELSBERG - this latest offering connects the dots between the powerful, melody-driven techno of Rex's earlier works and his current set-up that favors muscular, raw tracks with a distinctive analog bite. The latter is no accident, as Rex has become increasingly involved in DIY synth design, building his own modular hardware for studio and live use. Title cut TEUFELSBERG starts off lean and mean, quickly establishing momentum with propulsive beats and a simple, but seriously effective bass line - the track's main protagonist, however, is a sweeping melody blowing up for the track's entire run time, an utterly scenic synth job that doesn't even flinch from a ground zero break. Meanwhile, the flip side shells out a proper rave whacking with industrial-infused banger SHORTWAVE - another relentlessl piece of prime time techno that is as monolithic as it is playful.

Diggin' Disco Deep" is a new, deep-disco orientated offshoot of the successful "Editor's Kutz" label. The target is locked and it's no other than the dusty but not forgotten vinyl chests.
The record begins with "Sleazy McQueen & Romano Arcaini" who collaborate to give new life to a trusted classic.

A central groove is created a new from the looped strings of the bridge creating palpable tension through repetition. "Moments With U" will have you upside down and turn you round and round. Next comes the "Editor's Kutz" captain "VinylAddicted", whose inspiration is based upon a track since 1977.

VA totally reconstructs the original by keeping a repetitive piano loop going and going, while fresh kits, chords and a massive bassline give floor all the warmth that is needed. A male vocal loop and effects bridge the parts and ride the rhythm, until a healing piano and guitar break in the middle of the track offers you some breathing before the hypnotic groove strikes back!

Flipside hosts "SMQ" who returns to his disco-house roots. "Diggin' Disco Deep Theme" has filters, stabs, strings and juicy groove leading the way on this uptempo, beat driven reconstruction. Pompous!

Next up on Nico Stojan and Acid Pauli’s Ouïe label is the Tia EP by Cologne-based producer Jonathan Kaspar. Fitting perfectly into the label’s roster, as the 2018 predecessor Mera, this is three tracks of tricky, leftfield dance music that will appeal to the more adventurous electronic music aficionados. Lead track Tia is a brooding epic, unfolding in unexpected ways as the rougher edges give way to dreamy pads and a tight, loopy groove keeps things in motion. Bigna shares a similar aesthetic - an intricate percussive groove provides the foundation for some minimalistic synth explorations and textures. Exclusively on the vinyl release is Nea - artfully balancing dancefloor prowess with esoteric instrumentation and a minimal aesthetic. Elin rounds off the digital release, a slow burning heater with live percussion, thick bass and atmospheric pads and blasts of noise.

On their new 12“, Obsession EP, Berlin-based duo CYRK expand on their unique permutation of sci-fi-inspired electro. The title track is another fine example of the brooding and cinematic atmosphere they have championed lately. Recalibration ups the ante significantly. It’s a fast-paced and tense dance floor smasher replete with screams and powerful howls by Berlin-based singer Sunru. In his remix, veteran producer The Hacker slows down the tempo and turns the frantic original into a slow-chugging lesson in new beat intensity. DJ LOUI on the other hand, strips away the layers of pads and focuses on the bass line of Obsession, turning it into a bare-bones rhythm track with an 80s twist.

Kerrie makes her CE debut with the first of two EPs for their vinyl-only sister label, Cultivated Electronics Ltd. Originating from Ireland, Kerrie made a move to the UK in 2010 settling in Manchester. She soon joined Eastern Bloc Records, spending her time behind the counter selling records before moving into the role of events coordinator in 2017. Honing her DJ skills through a residency at Eastern Bloc, Kerrie has gone on to be a regularly booked act for some of the UK & Ireland's most prestigious underground club nights and recently made her Berlin and NYC debuts. After a few of years of producing in the box Kerrie made a move to a hardware-only set-up in 2014 and since then has also taken her analogue live shows on the road to various events and festivals including Freerotation and The Warehouse Project. In 2017 she released her first track for I Love Acid's 10th anniversary compilation, with a follow-up EP for them in 2020. She has also released an EP on Semtek's inimitable Don't Be Afraid and has recently started her own label, DMF with a string of releases lined up for this year. 'We Continue Part 1' is defined by Kerrie's organic production style across its four tracks, bridging the gap between raw, driving tech and twisted electro with acid flourishes, tough beats and dark bass notes.

NovaMute welcomes ANNA to it's roster, the Brazilian producer has been a mainstay of the Beatport Techno chart over the last year. The first track on ANNA's debut EP for NovaMute , Razor was born while playing with her Roland MKS-80, a synth from 1985 and one of ANNA's favourites. You can hear the fat, juicy sound on the breakdown and ever evolving throughout. The track has already been getting a great reaction when played out in her sets. Escapism plays with trippy arpeggio's that lay down the atmosphere for the whole track, it feels really dense and trippy but still powerful, making use of heavier drum sounds for the groove. The last track on the EP Dreamweaver, is a simple track that always works well on the dance floor. ANNA reworked this track many times before deciding to strip down the beat and focus on the final sequence, sometimes the simple ideas are the ones that work the best.

Nostalgic synth and chords, innocent melodies and powerful rhythms all compound the versatile Art Of War EP by upcoming producer Coeur. From analogue club cuts to Sunday morning jams and more personal atmospheres, the Parisian artist navigates seamlessly between genres and influences all along the record.


What strikes first is the thumping yet enchanting club cut that is Dinguzer (A1). Uplifting acid melodies mingle and develop to samples of the British Soul Queen Sade for an accurate and uncompromising dance floor number. The flip side opens up to another level of introspection with 49 RDC (époque poly) (B3) and Trenolo (B2) that show a more reflective and playful approach to music production. Left field house & techno connoisseurs won't be disappointed to find more rhythmic complexity along the way with Lawrence D (B1) and Thick String (A2).


With this first release, the young and vinyl only Trusted Meds Music imprint appears as a legitimate home for heartfelt House Music. Expect big things for 2019!

Luminaere wants to convey a forward-thinking approach to underground electronic music. Its aim is to host music of artists showing strong musical identity with influences ranging from minimal to deeper shades of techno and groovy electro, the key point being blending those influences to create something innovative and personal.

Luminaere is glad to introduce its first release, counting label founder Daïf and respected French producer Lowris on it. This first record is an insight to the label's will to show plurality in its sounds influences. Daïf dives into a spacey electro atmosphere while Lowris gives a dark minimalistic interpretation of Malinx. More can be expected to come out of the label, always pursuing the same ambition.

Das Chaos beschäftigt uns seit jeher - als Spezies und als Individuum. Vor ziemlich genau zweitausendsiebenhundert Jahren schrieb der griechische Oldschooler Hesiod: "Wahrlich, zuerst entstand das Chaos und später die Erde …", ein Kollege berichtigte, das Chaos werde nicht geboren, sondern sei ursächlich. Aber wie verhalten wir uns diesen Erkenntnissen gegenüber? Gute Frage.

Mit der neuen 10" von Nepumuk werdet ihr dem Chaos nicht Frau oder Herr, aber das wird euch egal sein. Denn auf zwölf Tracks in 27 Minuten gibt der Nepumuk klar zu verstehen, dass das Chaos in Ordnung ist. Nicht weil es geil oder wünschenswert wäre, sondern weil es die existenzielle Grundlage jeder Punchline ist. Die sitzen, bringen Perspektive ins Chaos - setzen es in Bezug zur herrschenden Realität, bis klar wird, dass Chaos und Lebensrealität ein und dasselbe sind: Leider doch nicht in Ordnung.

Not wanting to rest on their laurels, Vertex follow up with a heavyweight double 12” remix package titled 'Changing Seasons'. Featuring 5 reshapes of tracks taken from the original album, they’ve drafted in the highly regarded talents of ASC, G.R.I.T., Mike Schommer, Ohm and Gudmundsson to etch a fresh set of retakes and give the original project a new perspective with a great emphasis on the club environment.

More of a cultural artifact than an album in the traditional sense, Osunlade's'Pyrography' first materialised in 2011, intended to mark the closing chapter in his House music journey, the start of a new creative phase. Titled after the ancient artistic practice of burning an image onto a surface, everything about 'Pyrography' implied both ritual and permanence. A few signed, ultralimited edition CD copies of the album were accompanied by a specially
commissioned art book, with original works by highly regarded Australian artist Scott Marr and a series of 'oriki' prayers appearing in print for the first time ever. In 2017, BBE are proud to team up with the mercurial DJ, producer and ordained Yoruba priest Osunlade to make this incredible work of art available on vinyl for the first time. Two heavyweight 12' records
nestle in the front and back covers of a lovingly printed book containing a brief history of the Yoruba culture, Scott Marr's evocative images and those all-important traditional oriki prayers by Maria Oggun Bemi. Placed at the meeting point of art, culture, history, music and spirituality, Pyrography simply cannot be described or compared, much like the ritual Anagó language the project celebrates.

Founded by Matthias Schildger & Carlo Ietri in 2013, Repeat is finally ready to conquer the world and bring it's sound to all music lovers out there.
The first imprint of the new label was made by Wigbert // Matt Star & Marvin (incl. Dorian Paic, Dragosh Rmxs) and is called - Play, Stop, Repeat'. It will be out very soon on vinyl and digital.
With the label comes a new booking agency which contains a nice mixture of already well known artists and a few fresh and talented ones.

Wigbert unleashes a monster of a track with - Destroy me' on the dancefloors worldwide. Powerful beats combined with hypnotic rhytmic and some dark vocals will shake your body for sure! This tune will destroy some speakers if you are not careful with the volume... :)

Dorian Paic Remix:

Dorian Paic transforms Wigberts tune into a more happy and melodic but not less uplifting setting with the addition of some nice piano chords. It will put some sunshine into your hearts!

Matt Star and Marvin - In the Trees:

Matt Stars long experience in production combined with the freshness of the very talented Marvin resulted in this deep and groovy track driven by some nice drums and a fat bassline. Dark Athmospheres meets broken beat dubbish minimalism is the best way to describe it.
This track will go straight to your bones!

Dragosh Remix:

Dragosh's interpretation of - In the Trees' is a more percussion orientated track wich will put a lot of smiles on the faces of dancers. Crispy, rhytmic and simply good.

A timeless deep house track with a powerful message, Manchild (In The Promise Land) is a brand new creation from two of Chicago House music's true architects, Ron Trent & Lono Brazil. Getting his start as a DJ in the mid 80s while still a teenager, Ron Trent quickly turned his hand to production, studying percussion and keyboards; skills which define his distinctive, melodic compositions to this day. Founding Prescription Records with Chez Damier in '93 and sister label Balance soon after, he helped introduce talents such as Moodymann, Pevan Everett and Luke Solomon to a global audience. Ron Trent's career has gone from strength to strength over the last three decades, DJing all over the globe while continuing to push boundaries with his productions and remixes.

A unique release with four tracks, each by a different 030303 member from the first hour. Bohm kicks off with Tranquility, a moody and atmospheric acid electro track; hard hitting snares, 303 bubbles and and a dark cloud of gloomy drone. Freek Fabricius' track Druk op een Knop is part built up by samples taken from an obscure gaming device for small children. The result is a bizarre and spooky track, loosely held together by a messy Roland melody. Geel Acidvarken's excellent contribution is one to listen to again and again and reminds a little of Plastikman's Consumed project; lots of dreamy reverb effects on the warm bleeps with persistent snares and rattling rim shots added to the spaciness. Piepiep's System 100 is a brilliant funky beast, hectic and crystal clear at once with lots happening yet a dedicated focus on the floor. A very strong 12" and a big tip!

Released as a special marbled vinyl that comprises of two tracks, Alan's original uses a large heavy kick with intricate high hat patterns that please the ear and add some funk to a heavy straight kick drum. The stabs are the main feature of the track and add a palpitating rhythm throughout before the main pad enters and packs it out. Benjamin Damage steps up to deliver an outstanding remix of Alan's original and creates a more chuggy, brutal bludgeon. He uses Alan's original stabs in a more aggressive manner that see's Benjamin's remix soar!"

After the very successful debut of the Cologne based artist Carsten Halm on Traum in June, we here release his second EP "Fuchsbau". The release comes on vinyl as well as digitally. The EP kicks off with the title track "Fuchsbau" which works its way steadily into the dancers heart by adding melodies to the arpeggiator that trigger imaginations of a romantic kind that are touching but also energetic and stormy at times.

"Hummel" starts with a drone sound that is joined by huge pads achieving a quality of boundless generosity. This feeling of unselfishness where you are the guest rules this track and stands for a superb performance. "Hummel" incorporates the new feel in house that you can find in some of the best releases around.

"Fernweh" is at the beginning pure energy, a current of waves… that sees its turning point in the break which puts it on the bestseller list of epic trance music. The contrast between the techno rawness and the refined piano melodies could not be more obvious, yet this makes the track so special and prepares it for performances on festivals and bigger clubs serving an exceptional collective feel.

The English producer and DJ Yeadon hailed as one of Britains biggest talents in the field of progressive house with a strong drive with releases on Global Underground and UV has remixed the title track "Fuchsbau". The interpretation is a great take on the original. He moved the original more in the direction of gentle cinematic seductive house music which appeals to a wider audience.

The vinyl comes with the cover art of Cologne graphic designer Daniela Thiel who also designed Carsten’s first EP "Taubenflug" and who also works for ARTE.

key selling points: Carsten Halm is a Cologne based artist who is supported enormously by DJ Solomun, and who is remixed here by one of the great new talents of the British melodic house scene with releases on Global Underground and UA. Check out his new energetic melodic techno tracks on Traum as well as the remix by DJ Yeadon.

Bowyer delivers four cuts that are dynamic and innovative from start to finish.

All tracks boast smooth organ arrangements alongside playful melodies and pop elements, rendering them modern house triumphs for the dancefloor.

The young and talented producer continues to shine in recent times with a steady output of high quality productions, simultaneously the Partisan family continues to grow and this EP from Bowyer is sure to be welcomed with open arms.

Closing off the 'Another Way' remix series, the third and final release comes from Calyx & Teebee and Breakage. This special single concludes a series which has seen Symmetry welcome Workforce, Skeptical and Mefjus to remix tracks from Break's 'Another Way' album.

Extrawelt are busy this year and a buzz for their new music already exists so we are exited to release their brand new EP for Traum.

Their opening track "Mr Wednesday" is probably one of the most adrenalin packed tracks we have heard for a while. The track is a beast of a techno track constantly changing its color in a pace that pushes you to the limit. Don’t you think the break will give you relief, the opposite is the case... the break here seems to spark off new energy. Extrawelt do what they do best by letting their synths speak in a human syntax! And man how upset "Mr Wednesday" is! Raging with anger this track goes berserk and cries out loud. This is techno with its original message to shake off the dull skin of everyday life offering a parallel more personalized world. This is a topic which could not be more up to date.

The second track "Little We Know" is nothing less than a rocking bass-line funketeer but draws more on a melancholic state at times. But since we know Extrawelt it is not for long until they drop an uplifting sick theme in retaliation. This track is an emotional rollercoaster by any definition. And it has the surprise at its side for example you will suddenly hear a melodic theme which you would like to hear in a new episode of Dr WHO !? It is very clear by now that Extrawelt are full of creative ideas and could probably make a stunning bass drum out of a banana.

The third and last track "SEM" features a flow of heavily changing sequences but more in a way that sees the sound settle down, as we know it from dub music. Which is a good thing to do after two tracks that are tempo reflecting trax. Having said this Extrawelt spit out a machine made hi-hat pattern that elevates also this track towards techno madness. If you have ever seen one of Extrawelt’s live acts this EP very much verifies that. The flow of energy they generate can be highly addictive.

fabric resident Jay Clarke returns to Klockworks for his second solo release on the label following his EP in 2016 and his contribution to the ‘Klockworks 20’ compilation ‘Perdita’. Through this new 12-inch he presents a mix of tough modern rollers, dreamy Detroit melodies, and mysterious atmospheres.

Lay low, hit high: Call me on the regular is the right theme setter for a yet to be written story. Luca Musto has a compelling talent to fuse old school with new style. Never pretentious and always authentic, with a bit of swag and lot of groove: Slow house for the carefree hours.

"Mean Friend", ein Track aus Modeselektors erstem Mixtape "Extended", erscheint als zweiteilige EP-Vinylserie mit acht unterschiedlichen Versionen und Bearbeitungen. Während sich "Komm" durch den hypnotischen Gesangsbeitrag von Blixa Bargeld (Einstürzende Neubauten) auszeichnet, spendieren Bob Weston (Shellac) und der ehemalige Sepultura-Drummer Iggor Cavalera mit "Brush Your Teeth Mean Friend" ein rhythmisches Feuerwerk. Darüber hinaus gibt es drei Neubearbeitungen von Modeselektor selbst, sowie Remixe von DJ Stingray, Giant Swan und Telefon Tel Aviv.

‘Lauchie Cox’ is the second release from multidisciplinary sound artist and musician, Ben Green. His learned improvisation and penchant for musical mindfulness enables space for a frictionless journey from his mind to his music. The body of work that makes up ‘Lauchie Cox’ is no exception. In his words, when Ben acts "without premeditation, he is able to sit at an instrument and naturally draw from everything that is present in him at that point in time.”

His first release, ‘Shel Flí Fé’ on Melbourne turned Bristol label Local Knowledge / Division Cassettes saw 100% of sales donated to Support Act to support music workers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recorded in its entirety at Bens' home in Bentleigh in Melbourne, 'Launchie Cox' takes inspiration from the notion of absolute presence (and the total absence of premeditation).

"When I write music I draw inspiration from everything that is present in my life at that time. My music aims to be a storytelling mechanism, with no particular story in mind. It aims to combine elements of musical understanding, of texture, of people, of place, of nature, of experience, of everything, but of nothing in particular.

When I write music I avoid thinking about styles or stories. For me, this leaves as many opportunities to go in as many directions as my mind and my instruments allow. If I planned out my music before writing I believe I could get too focused on the planned style, or story, and miss a detail that may prove to be important.

Hence, this music has no particular story and no intentional overarching idea, however, it is representative of everything that combines to create me."
