The latest edition of our Breaking New Soil series proves that time flies when you´re having fun: This is number 10! Once again presented by label head Gregor Tresher, and this time with two exciting contributions by the man himself, we are proud to announce a very versatile lineup: We have Hybrasil, who Gregor met at a gig in Dublin, presenting a beast of a peaktime track with - Flexo . Returning to the label is Ferdinando Apicella from Naples, better known as Kernel Key, who delivers another non-conforming techno jam that will go big with all the real Techno heads. Next up we have label favorite Fac3off - returning with not one but two amazing tracks presenting his signature sound - we´re sure we´ll be hearing a lot more from this talent in the future! The Yellowheads, hailing from Spain, had a storming EP release on BNS last year and return in very strong shape with - Caelum . Last but not least there is Antipolar from Cologne, with whom Gregor recently shared the decks at Cologne underground club - Gewoelbe - he´s new to the label and is debuting with a very unique sounding production called - Mandal . We hope you enjoy playing and listening to Breaking New Soil Volume 10 as much as we enjoyed compiling it.

In the tireless pursuit of Tensal to finish the whole alphabet, the letter I is up next. In this new work called "Certain Magnitude" he explores the limits between the dance floor and more industrial concepts, the energy that is unleashed and calculated in equal parts in this game of textures recaptures the classic essence with an avant-garde approach.

Signature sound of comforting weirdness and tingling environments, story driven and unresting, on the edge while unable to move. WIDE AWAKE with their second iteration of slow pacing lushness on long playing goodness open up a personal chapter of contemplation and re ection.

I am fortunate to present the remixes of CAITLIN Freaks & Misfits by Victor Ruiz and myself on Electric Ballroom.

Freaks & Misfits is CAITLIN’s first solo release after years of producing electronic music and songs along side contemporaries like Noir, Patrice Bäumel and Thomas Schumacher.

CAITLIN and I have collaborated on the original three track EP released on WIR Musik as well as two of the remixes on this three track offering. (Thomas Schumacher)

If you were around some 36 years ago, and you are still around today, then you will again enjoy three of the six hit songs that ruled the music airwaves in Nigeria's 80's, filling you with nostalgia. If you are of today's people, then you will be fortunate enough to enjoy three evergreen songs that will take you to cloud nine.

Chuks Ejelonu, undoubtedly, Africa's answer to America's Stevie Wonder, at the age of 18, released an album on vinyl titled "Let's Make A Memory" in the mid 80's. It contained six hit songs that made great impact on the music scene. Selling thousands of copies in the West-African sub region it would go overseas months later, were copies of the album would hit the streets of London and New York. Despite being widespread in some regions, only a hand full of copies are located to this day.

With the coming of the internet, the album was displayed on several music sites and online music shops. Music lovers worldwide, scrambled for the album, purchasing it in the format of their choice, namely, vinyl, CD and MP3. Bootleggers/pirates also had their fair share of the sales of the album, even today, and prices on original copies soared. Chuks, on a monthly basis, still receives offers, calls, and mails requesting for the album.

Now, to meet the high demand, three tracks have been revived to, again, make an impact on diggers, dancers and listeners alike. The songs cut across all category of persons. A1's "Inner Vision" is a disco pop song that will capture the attention of today's generation. On the B-side, "Revelation-(Ibo)", a highlife/afro pop that will catch the attention of people that are culturally and religiously affiliated. And finally, "Let's Make A Memory": An upbeat country pop classic with an unmistakable African touch that will sit well with the older generation and blend with the young generation, a song for love seekers.

He thanks the team of Monte Cristo, for repackaging and rebranding him, his lovely wife/personal assistant Eno Pearl Ejelonu, for her support and ardent concern, his able manager, Ugo Ejelonu for his painstaking endurance and the greatest thanks to Jehovah God for the huge success.

Pick up this EP, "Inner Vision" and enjoy the rave of the moment, the rebranded Chuks.

The last shall be first one day, we will rise. We´re kicking off 2019 with our seventh record by HDSN. The rising soul brother could be expected to be on your list after some slaying records for NBAST, achieving sell outs in our entire catalogue last year. Now he´s back with lots of fantastic material to choose from starting off with a four-tracker that's striking for its undeniably catchy dancefloor-driven cuts. NBASTWAX007 is hard to categorize - you may wanna say it's deep, but honestly, this record is more than that, it´s a story telling master piece reflecting memories from captured moments in time. Show Me The Way' is our go-to track, but the others aren't sleepers. Mellow samples, 909-fueled drums and pondering vocals translating the complexity of the soul. It's the sort of EP that perfectly encapsulates all that's great about this endlessly eclectic producer, touching your mind in an emotional deep way - hard, haunting and timeless. A must-have record to properly understand the creator behind #datsoulthang. Grab your copy

The elusive Berlin label MASK are back with another anonymous release featuring four
analogue driven tracks entitled ‘Cliff’.
Known for being purveyors of mysterious yet exquisite hardware induced tracks, MASK continue to
hold up their reputation following on from ‘Hunter’ that picked up support from the likes of Laurent
Garnier, Elena Colombi, Machine Woman, Anastasia Kristensen and DJ Deep. ‘Cliff’ involves four
people live jamming on analogue equipment in a Berlin based studio.
A1 begins with crunchy drums fused with revolving, modulated synths and obscure elements that are
soaked in acid flavours before the A2 focuses on an electro-tinged sequence in harmony with ominous
atmospherics and eccentric oscillations.
On the flip, sweeping pads balanced with intense kicks and washing synths take the focus on the B1
until the B2 rounds off this magical EP with wavering compositions, hard-hitting percussion and
unsettling sound design keeping the atmosphere intense yet truly absorbing.

In the year that Leipzig label Moon Harbour celebrates 15 years in operation, it is not slowing
down its new release schedule. Here comes the third in as many months, and it is another
stunner from Re.You, aka German talent Marius Maier with a remix by Butch.

Mayer debuted on the label in 2014 and also frequents the likes of Mobilee and Souvenir. His
slick and slinky sound is perfectly suited to the label as it makes people dance as well as
offering off kilter samples and sound design, and that's exactly the case again here.

His one great original is 'Very Very', a prying house track with well defined drums tumbling over
paranoid bass. Firm claps and tough hits add muscle to the weird synth sounds and all sorts of
squelches, water droplets and weird voices ensure it will make for some freaky moments on the
dance floor.

Butch, the hugely prolific German Turk known for his tracks on Cocoon and with Ricardo
Villalobos, boils the original down to a steamy brew of drums and percussive layers that takes
you deep into the night. Finally, "Try" from Re.You is a beautifully drunken sounding track with
bulbous synth drops, blurting machine sounds and pixelated chords that add texture and main
room energy to the cantering, pinging drums. It's another real winner.

Once again here Moon Harbour have unearthed some fresh tech beats that are sure to
soundtrack your summer in memorable style.

Est in 2003, Comfortable Records returns after a hiatus of 3 years with a new Ep by 76-79 - producers Gunnar Viggosson and Tommy Vicari Jnr.

Bionic Romance EP is Anetha's second release on Blocaus series following 2017's very successful "Leftover Love EP".

Once again, Anetha continues to play to her strengths and delivers four tracks - diverse and rich in the depth, texture and hypnotism of techno deep space explorations. On the A-Side, "Myiuki & Patrizia" starts the release as an intricate, atmospheric title track with warm synth lines; "Ultra Speed Dating" features a muscular four-to-the-floor beat and a perpetual stomp to devastating effect perfect for peak-time.

On the B-Side, "Silicon Desire" takes us in a slightly melancholic direction with its hypnotic pulses. "Virtual Ritual" closes the EP as no nonsense purified techno with a raw groove.

One of the hottest Clubhouse- Classics of the 90's feat. the Vocals of legend- Darryl Pandy! Actually, it's used on the Club-Burner by Booty Luv- Shine!

Sylvie Maziarz quickly established herself into one of the most booked DJ's in Berlin, but also in many other clubs in- and outside germany.

She debuts on OFF with 2 energetic originals, both well suited to satisfy the peaktime dancefloor.

Swedish techno legend Pär Grindvik presents the first remix; taking things up a notch even, turning „Increase' into a warehouse techno bomb.

Andre Kronert presents 2 interpretations; the more minimalistic „Remix', and a more oldschoolish „Version'.

On 1972, veteran producer and live musician Tobias Freund offers up four tracks of layered and meticulously-crafted techno using his extensive archives of tape recordings collected since childhood.

Referencing a mix of profound political events in German history
and esoteric meditation guides, the Berghain resident's warm, detailed sound edges beyond the floor toward brain-tingling home listening and wanderlust autobahn escapism. The EP begins with the titles track’s buzzing synths panning rhythmically across the stereo field like a hypnotist’s pocket watch, while a somber, sampled string melody pushes further into cosmic territory before concluding with a bi-lingual eulogy. “Schism” soars with a never-ending snare roll and sparse kicks – an entire track floating on a break that never lands.

On “The Wisdom Of No Escape”, Freund combines soft,
polyrhythmic bleeps with esoteric vocal samples on an inward
path of hallucinogenic internal discovery. EP closer “Electric Storm” makes a turn for the ultrastoned, with hats and writhing vocals disintegrating and reforming over a soft, round steady pulse.

Overall, 1972 features a sound that Tobias. has honed for over 30 years, having initially made a name for himself mixing various pop hits in the 80s and 90s while simultaneously producing experimental electronics under various pseudonyms including Metazone, Phobia, Pink Elln, and Zoon. On his own Non Standard Productions imprint he has regularly collaborated with the likes of Max Loderbauer and Ricardo Villalobos and most recently with visual artist Valentina Berthelon as Recent Arts. His releases and lengthy live techno sets with AtomTM continue to set the bar high for improvised electronics.

Peculiar Plants is a new vinyl-only label embracing a shamanic vision of minimal.

The first release is a 2 track Ep with a rhythmic and hypnotising groove.

Wata Igarashi and Voiski join forces to present their new collaborative project, WAV. Voiski who brings synth heavy perfection to techno and Wata Igarashi known for his stylishly reduced, immersive melodies and futuristic grooves, collaborate for the first time on Delsin Records. The result is a late night affair with atmospheric pads that get you in a trance. Peak-time electronics and floating grooves traveling through the cosmos on knife sharp rhythms. Across four tracks you can hear clear elements of both Igarashi's and Voiski's solo productions, without sounding like anything either has done before.

Fellow wax junkie JUNE JAZZIN presents the broken beat eclecticism of "UNFRIENDLY GUESTS" (mastered by GU). One sided!

Jean Claude Ades's debut on Monaberry delights the senses and synapses with two superb productions. "Illusion" embraces with warm chords, mellow breaks and a colourful interplay of pure groove, sweet surfaces and a magical arrangement. The Fragments EP begins with Dimineaa Roie, a wonderful and dark journey with just the right touch of some more chill and bright sounds in the perfect moments. When that powerful bass kicks back in, you know you're in for a ride.

Next up is Fragments and prepare yourself for a more deep affair. The airy sounds mixed in with a relentless bass line give this track a misty atmosphere. The calmness encapsulates this one like the fog would a mountain on a cold autumn morning.

Upgrade certainly changes things up. A more dancefloor oriented track, with some playful sounds mixed with an energetic bass line, will get your feet moving. A thrilling adventure which will lift the spirits immediately.

Eroziune continues this theme and it goes out of its way to be an even more lively track. An eclectic mixture of hi-hats, quirky bass lines and a discreet acid touch now and there.
