* With my latest EP I've gone just a touch more dance floor than I have for instance with my last album 'Entropy'. We're in the middle of a tech drum & bass boom and I've tried to explore that a bit more but have gone looking for identity within the sound. Hence the name 'Differentia EP' which essentially is a sort of philosophical term for the definition of difference. For the A side I've collaborated with Tasha Baxter on a track with a big and cinematic intro describing 'the nothing', the vacuous evil entity out of never ending story, which I think captures the concept and mood of the EP well.' We welcome Stefan Hendry from Regensburg, Germany to Keno Records. He immediately got our attention with his eclectic, melodic and very unique style. This is an ep that will grow on you. These breakdowns gave us goosebumps every time we played them in our sets.
The first feedback for this ep was huge and we are sure that it will find a lot of friends out there.

"It's been scarcely 20 months since the appearance of the debut EP Wannado' (Lebensfreude Records) from the three affable Berliners-by-choice: Stereofysh. Those months saw brilliant concerts in Berlin, Munich, Leipzig, Bochum, and elsewhere. Last summer included memorable performances at the 3000 Grad Festival and the Tag am Meer Open Air Festival. Remixes from the likes of Lake People, SiS, and Robag Wruhme further established credibility, and with two successful subsequent EPs, Stereofysh firmly secured their position as a band to be remembered. And now it's here: the band's debut full-length album.

The Race will hit stores in May on vinyl and CD. Once again, Stereofysh have netted high profile remixers, including Ruede Hagelstein, Mathias Kaden, and Daniel Stefanik. And once they play the ISLE 9 Festival in Hawaii this summer, they'll be looking back on half of a year of lasting impressions.

Bubbling and brimming with joie de vivre, the Fysh have long been happily swimming together in life's currents—since infancy, in fact, for singer Lysann Zander and producer Gunnar Zander. Their efforts with their first band Goodbye Wavers eventually developed into the band Send More Cats, whose 2011 album Please contributed music heard by German cinemagoers in the film Miss Sixty.

Along with their acoustic songwriting, the siblings have also been intimately involved with electronic club music since 2004, performing both together and individually as DJs. The two also enjoy collaborations both national and far abroad: Lysann has released tracks with New York artist Nicholas Sauser, Istanbul artist Tufan Demir, and Indian producer Pawas. Gunnar has worked with Robag Wruhme on a remix for Paul Kalkbrenner's smash hit Sky and Sand.'
Stereofysh began to take shape in 2011 when jazz musician Lars Dieterich joined the band. Since his saxophone studies at the UdK Berlin, the multi-instrumentalist Dieterich has appeared in projects such as The Ruffcats, Soap, and Trondheym at festivals around the world, including Jazzbaltica, Music Biennale Zagreb, Sydney Mardi Grass, Jazzfest Berlin, and the ElbJazz Festival. As a live-performance and studio musician, he has been active with internationally known artists like Jazzanova, The Boss Hoss, Bobby McFerrin, and Mousee-T. Dieterich's intense interest in the electronic modification of various woodwind instruments has proven to be the pivotal third ingredient in pushing Stereofysh toward a new dimension of sound.

Since the start of 2013 has been on the artist roster of the Lebensfreude label. The Wannado EP was released in tandem with the new partnership and promptly scored heavy-rotation on the radio station Flux.FM. A remix EP followed, along with the next EP of original songs named Zanderdome. On Record Store Day 2014, the Robag Wruhme remix of the title There Yet' was released on Pampa Records as a split EP with Tocotronic, which sold out in short order. 2014 continued with the release of the especially popular track Cellphone' which came in the form of a remix EP, entitled Cellphysh. Breaking convention, the remixes here were not produced by artists from the electronic music scene, but rather in acoustic form by Gunnar, Lysann, and Lars themselves. Among the supporting players on the EP were Lars' band The Ruffcats who, though officially touring as the backing band for Flo Mega, managed a clandestine cloak and dagger session to conjure up a sparkling little soul number for the Fysh.

Navigating constant changes of direction yet pressing forward, all the while keeping an assured, measured pace—this is Stereofysh's specialty and the guiding principle throughout their debut album. The Race is, at its core, a multi-facetted wealth of elements, all combining and reconfiguring to provide moments of magic and happiness, as well as a few goosebumps.

The title track and album opener The Race' invites the listener into its relaxed flow, soon pouring into to the steadily pulsing beat construct of The Ease,' in which the clubgoer becomes as helplessly entangled as a fish in a net. And there is simply no turning back after the Grace Jones' fantastically re-imagined Slave to the Rhythm,' during which the listener becomes just that, and is delivered—heart and soul—over to the Fysh. The album's most 'Berlinish' track may be Igor,' whose relaxed, swaying, golden swing elegantly expresses a nocturnal, transfigurative Zeitgeist. Things get deep on Johanna,' with sighing, sawing sax tones, sad keyboards, and Lysann's smoky voice, plaintively weaving ever downward.

The tides are ever changing, with the vibe of the Stereofysh now more concentrated on performing live. They're working with an expanded band outfit that they enjoy taking on tour. Stereofysh could change their name and their colors, but whatever emerges will result in a journey forward. Only one thing is certain: it'll sound good. Wherever things lead, there won't likely be another band that has so impressively mastered the art of bridging electronic and club together with live music."

First up is Cascandy who climbs aboard "Takk Pony" and takes it for a mellow-tripped-out canter, broken only by its melodic synth chords.

After the critically acclaimed Serge & Tyrell release a little while ago Alden Tyrell is back solo with a new Clone Jack For Daze. A double A-side release with modern jack tracks that nod to Chicago's tradition of making effective and fun tracks for the floor. These two tracks with a little jack nostalgia that will do the job! Mr Tyrell delivering in top form. Coming soon!

The third release on the vinyl-label 'Playmusic-Productions' is presented by the berlin-based Rene Reinert under his artist name 'Amor Fati', who's also the label owner of Black Is Black Recordings. On his very unique work for Playmusic-Productions called 'Träumer & Tänzer', which is german for 'Dreamer & Dancer' he combines remarkable soundscapes, deep keys, an epic trumpet lick and the drums. Nothing more, not even a real baseline. But that is possibly what makes this tune so special. Also included in the package is a remix from PMP's wunderkind Tim Engelhardt, whose mix is definitely for the dance floor. In the first 3 minutes the mix simply has an amazing flow using the main loop from the original, a smooth baseline, rolling hats and some groovy shakers. Then a wonderful danceable break and the trumpets come in. All in all, a magic mix. Then label head Andreas Lindemann is bringing the original to the top. Against all expectations, he made a very smooth and relaxing mix, which is starting with sea waves he recorded in Mexico. Then a very soft and moody pad fades in, and for a few minutes this lovely just takes you on a journey. Then the trumpet wakes you up, the percussions make you dance again and a really sweet 303 line takes you back in time! To come to an end, this release can also be described in one sentence: All the tracks are using the same elements, but every artist does this in his very own style.

Cahoots Volume 5 presents tracks that firmly stand their own ground. From the deeper A-side offerings of Definition & Def:Play and We Are Mam, to the burly B-side beats of Ruff Stuff and Jus Nowhere, Volume 5 casts a wider net, capturing new artists that embody the pioneering spirit of house music.
Zürich's Definition & Def:Play collaborate as producers and label chiefs, running their imprint Definition:Music, with a catalog of excellent talent and releases including their own productions. Layering dubby percussion with melodic chords and rich, atmospheric pads, their track Synthesizer On My Knees', is a deep venture for the duo and continues to stretch the scope of the Cahoots sound.
Music is the Message' by We Are Mam brings an old school flavor that will keep heads nodding from start to finish. Living in Tuscany with an eye towards Chicago, Marco Celeri, under the moniker We Are Mam, brings his version of jack to Cahoots with right and tight percussion against filtered keys, string stabs and sampled vocals. Chock full of classic sounds, Marco's inspired productions can be found on labels such as Back to You and Legendary Sound Research. Additionally, Marco operates his label Roots Underground Records, releasing underground cuts heavily influenced by the old school.
Flipping the script on the B-side is Grooveat' by Ruff Stuff with a stomping beat, warehouse vibe, and a magnetic vocal that bring grit with a touch of soul to the dancefloor. A collaboration between Francois Le Roy and Nanni, the Ruff Stuff sound sits at the intersection of House, Techno & Garage, with a lookout towards the new school sounds of today. Milan-based Ruff Stuff has quality releases on Layers Label, Kolour Recordings, Release London, Street King and have recently launched their vinyl label, Ruff Stuff Music Ltd.
Closing out Volume 5 is Shoot Back' by Jus Nowhere. Hailing from Washington D.C., Jus Nowhere is the first Cahoots artists to represent the U.S.A. His range of styles and sounds can be found on labels such as Silence In Metropolis, Definition:Music, Four Fingers Hand and White Widow Records. Shoot Back' consists of tight percussion, wobbly synths, clipped vocal samples and some heavy bass that will drive any room insane. A regular in the D.C. scene, Jus Nowhere is also part of 'Rush Plus', a techno focused moniker with partner in crime, Jackson Ryland.

In the history of Connaisseur we can't remember ever having had an upcoming release with such a massive buzz in advance. Eventhough Human Machine has only had one release up to now, their name and popularity are spreading impressively, mainly due to the enormous support by Dixon, Âme and Solomun for the title track '146", which they have hammered in almost every set in the past months.
Concerning the music, it is fascinating how such simply constructed tracks can have such an impact in the club. This is the secret of Human Machine.
While '146' is dominated by a massive and remarkable synth-line, drilling its way into your head so that you may never forget it again, the B1 title 'Drone' is more focussed on a deep hypnosis, combined with a very demanding work on the groove. 'Janus', the closing title is the most airy and atmospheric track on the '146' EP, a passionate journey with an unexpected twist.
Human Machine is the project of Mauro di Martino, better known under his moniker Musumeci, Francesco Sorrentino, Simone Carpenzano and Paolo Lauretta.

Jami Bassols has been a close member of Hivern since its beginnings as one half of Aster. Now, following the release of Noche/ Templo, his two acclaimed edits for NVH, he returns to the label with his solo debut as JMII.

In Thrills, the Barcelonian producer displays a sound that's equally raw and lively, with a very personal sense of quirkiness. The title track is JMII's most expansive production to date. An uplifting house number built around an elastic bassline and sprinkled with a bubbly arpeggiated melody, echoed vocal snips and ravey pads. Bailar is a sort of lunatic take on chi-house, with a crude bassline, psychotic organ chords and feverish percussion coming together to form an ultra-infectious groove. Tightbrass follows a similar path, but conducted by frenzied synthetic horns that bring to mind a marching band of manic robots. In his remix, Comeme's Christian S. brings the track to a darker territory, reducing it to it's core elements and focusing in a nasty bassline that will for sure cause serious damage in the dancefloors in the upcoming months.
The 12' comes wrapped in a sleeve designed by Christian Schafer itself.

Introducing Felix Leifur, Dirt Crew's latest discovery, an all new, raw and savvy talent from Reykjavík, Iceland. Reykjavík has a population of just over 120,000, so the disco, hip hop and soul sampling, house music community that Felix rolls with is pretty tight knit, giving him a unique and inspired perspective on the sound. Remixing is friend of the label, Manchester's Hidden Spheres. After breaking through on our 'Deep Love 10' compilation, he went on to drop his 'Waiting' EP last summer on 'Distant Hawaii' (the dreamy offshoot of 'Lobster Theremin'). On the A, 'Berg Toppur', is a dance floor workout, a sublime balance of shimmering rhodes and vibrant arps with slamming organic percussion. 'Giving' is a spirited and warbling cut, crooning vocals and gritty horn blasts punctuate it's steady groove and loose live clap. This one's got open air written all over it. On the B-side, 'The Sunday Club' is a eclectic and somewhat eccentric jam, samples from across decades, weave together to create something altogether new. Next up, Hidden Spheres' Rocky Top' remix of 'Berg Toppur' eases in with a casual vibe, steamy drums, and a no-nonsense bass line set the pace, while the arps and elated vocals from the original sweep and soar, building to a feverish peak of sun-scorched bliss. Finally, 'Wait' sets the mood with a dusty jazz piano refrain and a strutting groove, before bringing the playful yet punchy trip home with a solid head-nodding bass line. Felix Leifur's diverse ear and distinct style gives 'The Sunday Club' EP the perfect blend of breezy summertime spirit and serious night club heat.

The second of two EPs from talented Californian newcomer, Tyler Friedman, has now arrived. A Night in the Woods EP starts of as a murky rhythmic experiment. When released of its bound, it transforms into a hailstorm of sound that builds in melodic intensity towards a final climax. This is scenic and brave electronic dancemusic that over and over again will capture the focused listener. On the b-side Rivet for sure push Tyler towards Berghain. But now the tool is somewhat different. Rivet transforms the cinematic original into a very dirty and dry party stomper.

Here comes the next big UK name on the German Toy Tonics label: PBR Streetgang. With past releases on Hot Creation, Wolf, 20/20 Vision and a DJ residency at WE LOVE in Ibiza the guys belong to the finest in UK techno funk. Now they joined the new German label that has been choosed by BEATPORT recently as 'one of 10 visionary labels that will rise to prominence in 2015. PBR Streetgang's 'Move on' - EP is the next step in the German vs. UK collaboration history on Toy Tonics. Luke Solomon, Whitesquare, Montel were the first Toy Tonics releases made by British names. PBR Streetgang come up with this 2 tracker that includes a bomb-remix by newcomer KIAN T. Sounding like Max Graef taking a few MDMA pills to much and getting lost in the vintage synth hell..

Etruria Beat is pleased to present the first EP of the talented duo from Modena Toms Due. Already appeared with the track 'Part Of It' and more recently with the remix of Bastinov - Ellipse which has been played everywhere around the globe, today they offer two original tracks with a defined and aggressive sound plus two huge remixes from Etruria's family.. Get ready to blow up some dance floors! The EP opens with the remix of the label-boss Luca Agnelli, who brings a very techno track, full Robert Hood style, with a distorted kick and a Detroit chord that makes the rhythm obsessive and powerful. Verona based producer and DJ Luca Ballerini is our latest discovery and a perfect proof that Cocoon Recordings is still looking for new kids on the block and gives them the chance to step into the arena. Although we have to admit that Luca Ballerini is not a complete rookie anymore. After his debut on Siena Recordings in 2010, Ballerini founded his own plattforms and released several productions on Musical Metaphor and Wax Jam. 2014 saw his debut on Shlomi Abers 'Be As One' label which says quite something about Ballerinis sound and style. The dreamy and harmonic techno productions of Shlomi Arber or Guy Gerber seem to be the blueprint for Ballerinis style however the Italian producer is not copying here at all. The israeli influence is noticable but Luca Ballerini creates his very own style by adding straight and solid techno- and house-beats. This special mixture covers a wide musical range from relaxed after-hour-techno to emotional peak-time clubsound. The perfect soundtrack to make it back to the clubs, leaving the cold and rainy open airs behind and heat up again for the all upcoming hot party nights!

Butano. Ranging from House to Techhouse and Dub influences, Miguel and Andre found his very own style and switches easily between them. For the first track called "Xevious" delivers a warm and sexy dub music flavour. The second track "300 hoes again" is full of different influences and defines perfectly the taste from both producers. To complete this fine package we asked some of our fave producers OXIA, Zohki & Roozlee and Di Chiara Brother´s. Their remixes are groovy and to the floor tracks. After several VVAA and remixes, we are glad to introduce you the first solo ep of Oscar Barila in his own imprint My Little Dog. The first track is 'Raw Girlz', a forward driven song, somewhere between old skool and deep house. Its heavy squared bassline and its catchy vocals promise to be a heavyweight stomper in the finest clubs. The second original track is 'Planet Hollywood', a melodic and chic deep house song with a brilliant dico touch.
If it wasn't enough with the 2 original tracks, there is also room for remixes. The super Chilean combo Andre Butano and Demian Muller (Cadenza, 8Bit) makes a fantastic and techy reinterpretation of 'Raw Gilz'. Meanwhile, the Serbian Mass Digital (Keno, Yellow Tale) gives his personal touch to 'Planet Hollywood' and turn it into an outstanding indie dance masterpiece.
