* 10 years ago Horizons Music released their first ever piece of music, a track going by the name of '10 steps',
produced by Skitty. Since that epoch making moment, the label has evolved into a staple of the Drum & Bass scene,
becoming a byword for consistency and quality in the process. It is therefore fitting that ten years on, some of the
labels regulars come together to produce a masterful 14 track album, that encompasses everything Horizons is about.

* The 'Dispatch Dubplate' label represents a new series of releases from Dispatch that focuses on special remixes of past tracks as well as new material with an emphasis on the 'dubplate' cutting culture of days gone past that we feel has been missing across more recent years as part of what was once a very vinyl / acetate led scene. The vinyl format itself will play an important role, with exclusive 'dubplate only' tracks featured per release in the series, all pressed on a strictly limited, one time only x 300 press without any release specific artwork, to retain an air of mystery to every new release.* The first release is a family affair, Break returns to Dispatch to deliver a sublime remix of 'The Formula' by DLR, Hydro, Mako & Villem from last summer. Already receiving multiple plays by Friction on BBC Radio 1, the remix causes major damage on the dancefloor, as Break's signature drums encase a rigorous sub bass assault.

* For the second track 'Direct Approach', both 'dubplate' and digital versions of the track will appear on each format with the dubplate mix of the track only appearing on vinyl, it's a hotly anticipated debut link up between two extraordinary talents, Xtrah & DLR. A clash of 2 production titans, this was always going to be a rowdy collaboration, and it's one we're proud to debut as part of this exclusive series of releases.

Absys Records is proud to present the labels 7th dnb vinyl outing ! For this release, we have stellar music by our long time Italian comrade, Arp XP backed with a collaborative effort courtesy of Belgian duo Glyph and Canadian veteran, Gremlinz. This release is diverse, showcasing very different aspects within the Drum & Bass spectrum while maintaining the quality and craftsmanship associated with Absys.

The A side Seems Like by Arp XP, is a classic, laid back, liquid track flavoured with a touch of Jazz. It is a nod to old school and reminds us of the lightheartedness of summer with its congenial and atmospheric tune progression!

The flip sees newcomers Glyph (who are creating quite a buzz in the scene) team up with acclaimed veteran, Gremlinz, resulting in a beast of a track! Much like the flip, Evolution is touched by an element of Jazz, kicking off with a vibe that will conjure up a sense of being in a dark lit Jazz Cafe. Following a memorable sample referencing the apple in the Garden of Eden, the tune does what the name suggests and evolves into a trippy stomper that will pummel any system, making this one of the highlights of this years Absys releases!

The scene is buzzing about the new uptempo sound of Shoot Recordings. Beyond juke, beyond jungle and definitely beyond classification, Shoot Recordings represents the next evolution of bassmusic, energizing dancefloors and thrilling headphone jockeys at the same time.

For the new year, Shoot comes correct with yet another monster that no outdated genre is big enough to to hold.

They call it Larchmont. From Pawn and Calculon, two dons of the next level, Larchmont roars out of the gate with b-boy flair and classic jungle breaks. But after the drop it's something else entirely, a two-step roller with a juke stutter that builds and builds and until it goes off the rails in a fucking blaze of glory. In the cold heart of winter, Larchmont is a flamethrower of uptempo action to ignite your night.

And then there's the remix from Om Unit. Perhaps no one pushed the bassmusic envelope in 2013 as hard as Om Unit, and his remix of Larchmont continues the trend, flipping the original into a dubbed out half-stepper that starts mean and gets more rugged as it goes. * Trilo utilises production techniques from outside of drum and bass; the ambient builds of abstract electronica, the bassline craft of neurofunk and dubstep on top of electro synth lines and a classical music approach to both melody and harmony singling this talented producer out as one to watch and a sonic auteur par excellence.
* Enterprise kicks things off with a highly visual, dark ambient build up with shards of evil bass signalling the carnage that is soon to follow. Utilising a punchy, rolling old school 2-step beat to frame the shadowy atmospheric mastery and the hefty, sub laden, hyperactive, mutant reese bassline.
* The track Prozac, see's Trilo take a slightly deeper approach to his compositions. Cavernous dubwise stabs combine with his unique shadow laden, cinematic soundscapes to great effect, before the tune launches like a full frontal military assault, into emotion tinged screw faced madness. Stomping enough for the ravers and detailed enough for armchair warriors alike. A slick take on how far you can push the DnB framework whilst still retaining enough clarity and punch for it to work on the dancefloor. Reminiscent of early Corrupt Souls & Stakka & Skynet.
* To complete the release; Baracks begins with a twisted, organic tinged melody. Splashy hi-hats, cavernous darkness and emotive harmony that when it drops makes a highly inventive use of dubstep-esq micro edits to create a bassline where the tiny moments of silence contained within it almost contain as much forward motion and flux as the actual multi-layered, resampled synth tones used to build the enormous sound in the first place.

One of the most consistent outlets of Neurofunk in the scene today, Mindtech has become widely known for its dark, uncompromising brand of Drum and Bass. Staying true to the dark underside of Drum and Bass, Mindtech has rightly gained a reputation for putting out some of the most innovative, experimental, hard tracks from some of Neurofunk's most exciting producers. Following the massive Lode Runner EP by Rregula, Mindtech are ready to drop their long awaited fifth vinyl release. Featuring the complex, funk-infused sounds of Minor Rain's 'Splitter' and the rolling
'Dunwall' by Cruel Culture & Keosz, Splitter/Dunwell represents another chapter in Mindtech's exciting mission.

Minor Rain - Splitter
One of Drum and Bass' rising stars, Minor Rain only began producing in 2009 but his obvious talent shows in 'Splitter'. Featuring a deep, textured introduction Splitter transforms into a complex DnB track full of groove, intricate percussion and bass. The perfect blend of high level production and pure rhythm, 'Splitter' shows why Minor Rain has already seen releases on labels such as Renegade Hardware, Dispatch, and Samurai Music .

Cruel Culture & Keosz - Dunwall
With a discography featuring the likes of Mindtech, Trust in Music and Citrus Recordings between them, Cruel Culture and Keosz team up for 'Dunwall'. A rolling juggernaut, 'Dunwall' packs in retro synths, advanced percussion and high level production for a track that is as subtle as it is devastating. Featuring a pounding but smooth bassline, 'Dunwall' represents another innovative side to the Mindtech sound.

* Amoss step into lively territories with their 2014 return to Horizons Music. This single sees a VIP rework of their 2013 collaboration with MCJC, Bleed It, originally featured on the Dreamthief 4 LP. This rework brings a complete change in groove and mood to the table, incorporating a more syncopated beat with a much deeper bass presence. * Calokan is a throwback to the duo's early Horizons Music releases, but with an added twist. The dramatic and textural intro paired with an array of odd field recordings makes for an intense atmosphere whilst maintaining a heavy underlying sub laden roll. Those that are familiar with Amoss will know all too well that the second drop always has something special in store, in this case a straight, two step beat smashes through the breakdown, adding a huge switch up to the overall energy of this track.

* Think Twice is one of BCee's heaviest tracks for a white, with a bass line that will shake your whole body and a vocal hook that gets stuck in your brain, this one is destined for big thing.

* Across June 2014 Lenzman launches his album 'Looking At The Stars' on the seminal London-based imprint Metalheadz.
The debut album arrives with all the aplomb you would expect from the Dutch producer. The project concerns itself with all types of human soul- from introspection to confidence to doubt. If there was word you could put to it- it would be honesty. It's certainly a refreshing outlook in this 'fast-food' landscape of modern music that surrounds us.
* The first two tracks we present to you are 'Starz' Ft Kevin King and 'Paper Faces' Ft Martyna Baker.It's testament to the talents of producer and vocalists that the tracks work so well, the creative relationship between Lenzman and the pair is untouchable on these tracks.
* 'My Tearz feat Steo'
Steo may well be one of the best singers we have in the game right now. His falsetto glides over rugged plains on My Tearz. His range is wide and the level of soul he brings to a track is unmatched. The beat is a slight departure for Lenzman in that beauty is put on the shelf and grimy is the order of the day with midrange bass and stepping drums working out against Steo's vocals.
* 'Paper Faces Feat Martyna Baker'
Martyna has worked on music with Lenzman and Goldie previously to great results and this track is no different. 'Paper faces' is the seductive side of the album, It's slightly more held back in its approach but just as confident in its execution. Martyna Baker graces the song with her unmistakeable range, showing great understanding of the nature of the piece.

The Hard Way are a full live band these days and we wrote the album with that being our main focus. An album to rock out live with but also divers enough to just listen to from a to z...

Some tracks on the album are 100% DJ friendly Dance floor stompers, others 100% Not.
A mix of Drum&Bass, Hardcore, Breakcore, Punk & Rock with BPM's ranging from 175 to 210.
Majority of the tracks are brand new but we also added new and improved versions of tracks like Devil Worshipping Motherfuckers & Pentagram of Coke and Suck Satan's Cock. Adding guitars en live vocals for instance.

Total Fucking Nihilism will be the 1st single of the album. We shot a pretty wild video for this track which will be coming out begin next week.

Xtrah delivers his 2nd release on Symmetry alongside Codebreaker in the shape of 'Lost time'.
On the flip he collaborates with label boss Break with 'Always New' and they bring in the vocal talents of DRS.

'Apollo' has recently enjoyed 'intro tune' status for many of Andy C's sets. A startling, heart-stopping agenda-setter, every single element tingles with heavyweight production electricity. We ignite with emotive synths, subtle snake-like percussion and a riff so stimulating it could motivate the dead. Deep throat bass shots tease before the drop, then BOOM: when the full bassline and tungsten-tipped drums kick in, there is no avoiding the prize-fighting level of power. Immaculately massive. Next up: 'The World Is Yours'. As the title implies, there's an overwhelming sense of uplift coded into every twist and turn. Playing a major role on both the 'Programmed V1.0' and 'Programmed V2.0' EPs, it was only a matter of time before EastColors released a full single with Program. Naturally, he's stepped up. And he's done so with two prize-fighting productions.
'Toys' is a one-way ticket to the furthest boundaries of the cosmos. Warm pads purr while a frosty arpeggio twinkles and subtle guitar strums shimmer softly in the background. An ageless reminder of how delicate certain elements of D&B can be when conjured in the right hands, 'Toys' will instantly arrest your crowd's imagination. Countering the dreaminess with raw bass drama, the beats and chubby subs ensure full weight and presence. Complete with a modest, memorable vocal refrain, it's the perfect balance of elements.

'Creeper' sets a much darker agenda: Opening with oceanic synth washes, an unrelenting breakbeat looms ominously in the mix. Firing hi-hats take the lead before we're plunged into a cavernous drop where layers of irresistible bass envelop us. What follows is an industrial strength roller of junglist proportions. Referencing the past to lock fully into the future, this is EastColors at his most chiselled and uncompromising.

Russia's a hotbed for D&B talent right now, but few of its exports come close to EastColors in terms of creative skills and technical abilities. A crucial contributor to the label since its earliest incarnations: It's time, once again, to get with the Program!

* June 2014 - Lenzman's debut album 'Looking At The Stars' on the seminal London-based imprint Metalheadz.
The album arrives with all the aplomb you would expect from the Dutch producer. The project concerns itself with all types of human soul- from introspection to confidence to doubt. If there was word you could put to it - it would be honesty. It's certainly a refreshing outlook in this 'fast-food' landscape of modern music that surrounds us.

* Just Can't Take Feat DRS
This full vocal feature comes courtesy of Manchester's finest MC DRS, where he mixes his unique ability to rap and sing to great effect. DRS concerns himself with the topic of no more bullsh*t in his pursuit of creation and as the song says he 'Just can't take no more' Lenzman weaves a great instrumental for DRS to animate with subtle keys and musicality illuminating the beat.
* Burner
Burner is Lenzman's ode to jungle with its stepping drums and rolling subs, its set against a backdrop of introspective pads and atmosphere that switch into gritty bass stabs and vox, just enough aggression to get you screwfacing.
* Starz feat Kevin King
Starz is a massive feel-good record- The soaring strings and confident keys both play off one another massively and thus creating a very rich landscape, heartfelt vocals come courtesy of Kevin King who really brings the track home with his fantastic vocal, oozing with class
* Move and Focus Feat Dan Stezo
In lenzmans own words: 'Dan Stezo has been my homeboy since day dot' and the pairing between the two is cemented by a shared love for hip hop that is very evident on this track, Stezo's distinctive low slung vocal adds huge character to Lenzman's production on the track.

* Returning for the second chapter, S.P.Y goes 'Back To Basics' and takes us deeper, darker and further underground with this uncompromising selection.

* The recent 'Back To Basics Chapter 1' LP introduced a new edge to his sound, and having tested these tracks in his DJ
sets over recent months, S.P.Y has fine-tuned mixdowns and structures for maximum dancefloor impact.

* S.P.Y's brings in the iconic vocals of Diane Charlemagne once again with a 'Great use of a great singer' according to Eddy Tm X-FM. Closest allies Total Science return to collaborate on this second edition, joined by Spearhead's Bcee and well renowned MC Lowqui.
