After the catchy Infected Headphones and terrifying Nightmares EP, Tyke continues his sonic assault on Drum and Bass with GRIDUK054. GRIDUK054 see's Tyke hit hard once again, delivering three bangers on Twisted Individuals famous Grid Recordings.
* Featuring the chilling Buzzards, grimey Wake Em Up, GRIDUK054 is another sick release from the relentless producer.
* Buzzards - Tyke shows his versatility with the rolling sounds of Buzzards. Featuring slick percussion and morphing bass combined with a thick atmosphere, Buzzards shows another rolling side to Tyke's original production style.
* Wake 'Em Up - The second track see's things get rowdier. After a carefully chosen sample, Wake Em Up turns dirty. In a style that Tyke has perfected, Wake Em Up mixes up dirty bass, punchy drums and amens to inject some attitude into the dance floor.

A colossal crossing of paths, the collaboration of Billion, Codebreaker and Sense is the affirmation of one of bass music's most Exciting outfits. Individually dangerous, collectively devastating. A welcome return to authentic street level Drum & Bass with all the
credentials... Defence' is the jewel in the crown of new skool collective Fathom Audio's discography. Codebreaker and Sense lay down
conscious kung fu precision lyrics over Billion's shuffle and crash beat. All built on top a deadly sub bassline with schizophrenic
mentasms cutting through the dance floor. - 'We Defend!'
Currently one of Drum & Bass' most revered sons, Skeptical turns 'Defence' onto it's head with his signature sonic artillery and
evasive musical manoeuvres. Having now finely tuned the art of a vocal club smasher, Skeptical unleashes his deadliest remix to
date.

Xtrah Xtrah! You'll be reading all about this one for a long time to come as Yasin Elgohary delivers his very first outing on Critical Music and what a debut it is. Having smashed the living daylights out of little sister label Modulations with 'Set The Levels', his new offerings are nothing short of devastating. Get the vibes in, this one's ready to rip a hole in it! Summer soundsystem inspired 'Soundclash' is possibly the rudest cut of drum & bass you'll be hearing this year. From the soundboy vox, the heinous thudding b-line and mid-range pops, it's easy to hear how this dubwise piece of musical mastery has been hammering clubs across the globe. Original junglist material for 2012, there is no doubt. Wheel it up!Straight no filler, this next one is a killer! 'Discordance' sees Xtrah rolling hard once again with frenetic percussion and morphing bass that harks back to some vintage Ram Trilogy for a proper full force effect. Prickly drum edits and the massive 'I know it sounds deep' vocal make this a great way to end one of the most hefty D&B releases of 2012. Much more to come from this new Critical superstar.

Founded only 3 years ago by Mako, the Utopia Music imprint has already made a positive impact on the drum & bass scene with a stable of innovative producers. Next up on the release schedule is a massive tenth release in the form of Utopia 10.
The A-side sees a mighty collaboration between label owner Mako, Break, Fields and Villem. With all these guys on the track, you know the bar is set high. Don't let the chilled beginnings of Dilligence lure you into a false sense of security because you'll soon be smacked around the head with a bassline that's verging on psychotic and beats ready to bring down anything that stands in the way.
On the flip side, Russian producer Getz carries on where they left off with the rolling, relentless basslines of My Soul. I love how the vocal samples lend a feeling of despair to the music.

Mount Zion & Got To Be Conscious are melodic Jungle tracks with solid musical foundations rooted deep within Dub/Reggae music,
using ambient melodica undertones and Incorporating 'amen & think' breaks, 808 sub bass & tight percussion patterns. Both tracks
are setting a new dimension to Jungle music bringing it back to the original 90's Jungle sound.
Featuring the conscious vocals of Britain's outer national Reggae artist & Bush Chemists front main King General, his vocals set the
mood of the tracks with verses such as "Brick By Brick, We Have To Break Down The Walls" (Mount Zion) and also the chant of "Got
To Be Conscious If Your Not Conscious You Cant Ride This Bus" (Got To Be Conscious) Which both suggest the need to fix todays
troubled society & sends out a positive message to the youth of today.
Both productions have had great reviews with 'Mount Zion' being the feel good summer track and 'Got To Be Conscious' tearing up
the dance floors wherever its played. Dialect & Kosine are paying tribute to the original pioneers of Dub & Jungle music with this
instinctive first independent release. This release has the full support of international DJ's & Producers worldwide Including: Congo
Natty, Adrian Sherwood, Bizzy B, Aries, Nicky Blackmarket, Ray Keith, Remarc, Equinox, Kenny Ken & Many More

Having spent more than seventeen cross-genre years featuring on dance music's most prestigious imprints, Blu Mar Ten are opening
the doors of their own label to a host of fresh young talent emerging from the leftfield of Drum & Bass.
Blu Mar Ten Music (BMTM) is a home for the beautiful and the ugly, the elegant and the awkward, the euphoric and the melancholy.
With a list of talent already lined up to deliver a rollercoaster of emotions and a desire to stand out rather than fit in BMTM is
guaranteed to be a label to watch.
The second release in this new chapter comes courtesy of multi-genre wizard, eleven8.
Having shone his talent on a number of quality labels including Hospital Records sister-label Med School, eleven8 joins BMTM to
showcase his Drum & Bass stripes with two tracks strictly designed for intrepid explorers.
Hadal Zone - Befitting the subsonics of the music, The Hadal Zone (named after the Greek god, Hades, god of the Underworld), is the
delineation for the deepest trenches in the ocean. Even at this depth the waters teem with alien life, glowing with bioluminescence
and crackling with self-generated electricity. eleven8 skillfully recreates this landscape with lashing distortion and howling effects
emerging from the darkness before disappearing again.
Hadal Zone - 600 atmospheres of pressure.
Across the Sky - Where Hadal Zone takes you to the bottom of the ocean, Across the Sky rockets straight up in the opposite
direction, describing satellite trajectories around the Earth. Otherworldly winds and thudding chunks of meteor bass are propelled
through space by a payload of stuttering percussion.

White marbled vinyl.
The 'Respect' virtue of 'Code Of Honour' is represented by a trio of dancefloor technicians. Nymfo of The Netherlands flexes his
trademark sonic contortions with 'Floating Point'- a tune that seems to breathe in and out while it bounces its jovial, cheeky step. It's
a tune with a distinct, and instantly likable personality just like the man himself. Borderline from New Zealand collaborates with Slovak
artist Subtension for the flip, a new name you are urged to take note of for future reference. Dripping with funk that so many
dancefloor Drum and Bass tunes are devoid of these days, 'Reaction' is the one self respecting club DJ's will draw for when they
need a 100% positive response. 'Respect'- We show respect by speaking and acting with courtesy. Respect yourself, and others will
respect you.

Ingredients bring forward a new drum & bass trio out of Bristol with exciting prospects. Made up of Vega, who runs 'Abstractions' in Bristol, Pessimist, who has featured on the label a few times & Cooper. Their distinct sound of dark atmospherics, intricate percussion and progressive arrangement makes them a stand-out right away and this is the 1st of 2 12s in 2012. The Foot has been championed by dBridge all summer, as well as featuring in the sets of Loxy & Fracture while Bypass is brand new and completes a killer 12

A firm favourite for every DJ lucky to get their hands on it, and one that draws the attention of every lady in the nearby vicinity. A future Klute classic! Clarity represents the new breed of producer and dynamic, and is someone Samurai Music will be working closely with in the future. 'Cold Blank' is a surefire dance-floor weapon which has been used constantly by the
likes of Doc Scott, dBridge, Loxy and many more, but those 3 names are enough to signify the potency of this bullet. 'Code Of Honour' is released on limited 2xCD, unlimited Digital on 15.10.2012. 5 carefully selected 12" samplers from the album will also be
released in the month of October.

Whether James Davidson and Greg Hepworth have an ulterior motive is debatable. Their motive, however, is unwavering, intentional
and fortunately well received. Infiltrating the drum and bass scene in in the early noughties, the UK duo combined their hand-built
studio with modern production methods allowing them to tap into a unique brand of high-tech basslines and fortified funk. The
collaborations nearly always come around through friendships and mutual respect for what each other is about musically. Ulterior

FRESH RE-MASTERED VERSION NOW AVAILABLE
Close 2 Death Recordings is proud to present: Optiv - Krakpot Remixes EP. Arguably one of the most anticipated drum and bass releases of 2012, this EP sees the legendary Optiv's track 'Krakpot' re-imagined by two undisputed kings of neurofunk - Jade and Billain. With support from Ed Rush, Optical, Black Sun Empire, Dom & Roland, Optiv, Neonlight, Mampi Swift, Xilent, Maztek, Inside Info, and Blokhe4d to name just a few, this EP promises to be a landmark release for C2D and an enduring classic bound to smash dancefloors for years to come. Jade (Budapest, HU) kicks off the EP with his excessively sinister remix, a punchy take on Optiv's original with a particularly malevolent bassline injection. Dreary atmospherics and foreboding sirens ring out during the intro, setting the track's tone over simple yet perfectly calculated drums. As the introduction comes to a close, those sirens provide a moment of anxiety as they fade alone into the darkness. Then it hits - a menacing, infectious bassline taking all who hear it prisoner. Its dark nature is enticing like forbidden fruit and made only more potent by the drums' re-introduction, as the track drops into its aggressive signature groove. This is a virus worth contracting. On the flip, Billain (Sarajevo, BA) delivers a remix in a completely new direction, transporting the track outside the organic realm into the synthetic. Ominous strings add a new melodic dimension to 'Krakpot' during the outset, bleak and cold, as though looking ahead into the dark future. Billain spares no time in thrusting you forward, breaking things
down briefly before initiating a trademark exercise in drum programming and expert sound design. The plastic bass cuts through the mix like a razor, with a surgical precision reserved for the elite. Billain once again paints an aural landscape of the future, so vivid it may as well be real. Are you ready

* Never resting on his laurels Wilkinson continues to assure himself a place at the very top of the drum & bass pile with another incredible single for Ram Records. Following on from 'Automatic' / 'Hands Up' a massive single which received huge support from tastemakers around the world including Radio 1's Annie Mac and MistaJam, Wilkinson is ready to drop 'Need To Know' and 'Direction' - two essential slices of D&B that will have dance floors jumping for months to come.
* First up 'Need To Know' gets you into the mood with rolling jungle breaks and strummed guitars that pave the way for Iman's beautiful vocals. And by the time Wilkinson unleashes his euphoric bassline and infectious melodies you're begging for the release. Moving and progressing throughout, Wilkinson creates a stunningly simple but undeniably catchy track that will sound perfect on the dancefloor, over the radio or cranked up on your home stereo. This one has 'Anthem' stamped all over it!
* But those of you who prefer your D&B a bit darker will not be disappointed either, as 'Direction' embraces all kinds of filth and then throws them back at you covered in bass! Intensely dark atmospherics open the way for a grimy Reese bass, vocal snippets and echoed sound FX that combine to create an absolute monster of a tune. 'Direction' is sure-fire dance floor material destined to destroy clubs whenever it's dropped.
* Yet again Wilkinson delivers two incredible slices of drum & bass that will undoubtedly be the soundtrack to many a night out this winter, proving himself to be one of the hottest producers on the block in the process.

Andrey Burtaev aka Electrosoul System is one of the most popular and successful Russian drum & bass
producers. He started his career in the beginning of 00's and was immediately noticed by legendary LTJ Bukem,
who signed some ESS tracks on his Good Looking and Cookin' labels. During last 10 years Andrey released
dozens of EPs on world's best imprints - such as Hospital, Subtitles, Soundtrax, Fokuz, Ketama Records, as well
as his very own Kos.Mos.Music.
Fish Eat Duck is a long-awaited debut artist album by Electrosoul System. Andrey worked on this LP for several
years, and some music critics have already compared Fish Eat Duck with albums by Shpongle and Youth,
because it's not just a compilation of tracks, it's a story running for 80 minutes - with its prologue, culmination
and conclusion. The album includes tracks, influenced by different genres of music - such as drum & bass, jungle
or breakbeat, as well as some dub music with beautiful ethnic elements and structures.

* Those who keep a close eye on the underground will already be well acquainted with the name LoKo. An integral part of the Bristol bass music scene LoKo has had his tracks remixed by KOAN Sound, co-founded and subsequently released intense remixes and original tracks on Screwloose Records and now gained Andy C's approval as he joins the ranks of one of D&B's most exciting new labels, Program.
* Just one listen to 'Bassline Secret' and you'll understand why Andy C has thrown his weight behind it. At once a grinding slice of modern drum & bass with a heavy nod to the nostalgic days of the Prototype Years, this is an undeniably fresh take on a classic sound. Skipping breakbeats and grinding bassline combinations sit effortlessly in the mix with each sound playing its part without overpowering the others. Here LoKo has achieved a fine balance that will make 'Bassline Secret' stand out from the crowd - in the club, on your iPod or blasting out of your car as you zoom down the motorway to your next D&B night! Flip over and 'The Shadows' showcases LoKo's production talent once again with a massive call-and-response bassline hook. Yet again the Bristol-based producer displays his ability to update a classic drum & bass sound with some modern studio techniques and some fresh ideas by subtly manipulating and progressing the interplay of the bass sounds throughout the tune. With a high level of attention to detail, this will undoubtedly find a place in plenty of DJs sets this winter and with his debut Program release LoKo has categorically proven himself as a artist to watch.

* The first two singles taken from Calyx & TeeBee's forthcoming album 'All Or Nothing' have been heavily supported by tastemakers across the board. Lining up to drop them are Radio 1 DJs Zane Lowe and Annie Mac, UK #1 artists DJ Fresh and Rudimental, Example's touring partner DJ Wire and scene stalwarts TC and Matrix & Futurebound, to name but a few. And now the duo is ready to unleash the third single from 'All Or Nothing', an incredible slice of D&B funk featuring the vocal talents of Kemo.
* Marrying influences from hip hop, funk and mid-'90s drum & bass, Calyx & TeeBee offer up a distinctly different track that tugs on feelings of nostalgia while pushing the envelope forward. 'Pure Gold' is effortlessly fresh, oozing with bouncing hip hop, double bass funk and D&B energy this track will undoubtedly sound great from the car to the club, across radio waves and dance floors alike.
* Flip over for 'Perspectives', a sure-fire slice of D&B that's sure to keep the heads happy. Relentless bass and expertly chosen sound FX all combine with rolling percussion and stunning production to create a perfect dance floor roller.

Sick Music 3 sees the revival of the highly successful compilation series with another slew of top-notch talent from across the spectrum. Expect to find tracks and remixes from artists as diverse as High Contrast, Raiden, Jonny L, Technimatic, Lung and Madeon across this 26-track compilation.

Considered a pioneer of the early UK Funky days, Roska quickly carved his own niche in the sound; initially through his Roska Kicks & Snares imprint and later through his Rinse FM shows and releases on the ever-respected underground Ammunition / Rinse label. In almost no time at all Roska was in demand for remixes that spanned out from the underground, versioning Untold, Four Tet, Jamie George, Zed Bias and more in his own unique style. Roska now returns to Tectonic following the head-turning killer '480 BC' featured on 'Tectonic Plates Volume 3' earlier this year, and a collaboration with Pinch - 'Paranormal Activity' - in 2011. This time he's got a whole 12' to himself and we're treated to a real tour-de-force of tribalised rollers, thick with atmospheric attitude, thumping subs and a shoulder-popping percussive workout. 'Blurry' runs at 133bpm allowing it to sit neatly between dubstep tempo and the increasingly popular 125-130 bpm bass / house scene that's been developing in the UK over the last couple of years. Taking things down an 'ongy-bongy' path, this rhythm provides the soundtrack to a hunter chasing his prey through a humid jungle landscape, with fast weaving beats charged heavy by the deadly subs. The heat is on. 'Spearhead' sees Roska making a rare 140bpm trip, taking this rhythmical excursion neatly into dubstep tempo territory, creating an original cut which sits in it's own world of tribal grime. The bassline pounds heavy, eventually rising upward before suddenly plummeting back down to the murky depths from where it came, and back round again. Dis-hyeer quality dubstep music produced 'pon the other side of the looking glass.

* Taken from Sub Focus' eagerly anticipated sophomore album, 'Tidal Wave' hits you exactly the way the title would suggest. A huge washing sonic wave of a record, this bass music masterpiece is packed with trademark Sub Focus energy. Bursting melodies and stunning vocal hooks from Alpines lead the way to a huge drumstep drop that will have clubs and festival tents jumping. Another hands in the air breakdown offers some breathing space before Sub Focus switches to full on drum & bass for the second drop. This is undoubtedly the anthem of late summer, a sure-fire dance floor filler.
* Flip over for one of MTA Records' hottest properties, Killsonik, hits you with a tidal wave of grimey bassline combinations and armour-piercing synths. Keeping the tempo at drumstep speed, this will undoubtedly be a great alternative to the original for those who like it a little dirtier.

Sunchase + Nick Bee follow up their appearances on Horizons music, after impressing with their debut single Zoned and also featuring on the landmark HZN050EP and Dreamthief 3. These artists are really making some moves, even noticed by Noisia, who gave them the honour of releasing an EP on their own label Invisible.
