Having smashed the living daylights out of little sister label Modulations with 'Set The Levels', his new offerings are nothing short of devastating. Get the vibes in, this one's ready to rip a hole in it! Summer soundsystem inspired 'Soundclash' is possibly the rudest cut of drum & bass you'll be hearing this year. From the soundboy vox, the heinous thudding b-line and mid-range pops, it's easy to hear how this dubwise piece of musical mastery has been hammering clubs across the globe. Original junglist material for 2012, there is no doubt. Wheel it up!Straight no filler, this next one is a killer! 'Discordance' sees Xtrah rolling hard once again with frenetic percussion and morphing bass that harks back to some vintage Ram Trilogy for a proper full force effect. Prickly drum edits and the massive 'I know it sounds deep' vocal make this a great way to end one of the most hefty D&B releases of 2012. Much more to come from this new Critical superstar.

Founded only 3 years ago by Mako, the Utopia Music imprint has already made a positive impact on the drum & bass scene with a stable of innovative producers. Next up on the release schedule is a massive tenth release in the form of Utopia 10.
The A-side sees a mighty collaboration between label owner Mako, Break, Fields and Villem. With all these guys on the track, you know the bar is set high. Don't let the chilled beginnings of Dilligence lure you into a false sense of security because you'll soon be smacked around the head with a bassline that's verging on psychotic and beats ready to bring down anything that stands in the way.
On the flip side, Russian producer Getz carries on where they left off with the rolling, relentless basslines of My Soul. I love how the vocal samples lend a feeling of despair to the music.

Mount Zion & Got To Be Conscious are melodic Jungle tracks with solid musical foundations rooted deep within Dub/Reggae music,
using ambient melodica undertones and Incorporating 'amen & think' breaks, 808 sub bass & tight percussion patterns. Both tracks
are setting a new dimension to Jungle music bringing it back to the original 90's Jungle sound.
Featuring the conscious vocals of Britain's outer national Reggae artist & Bush Chemists front main King General, his vocals set the
mood of the tracks with verses such as "Brick By Brick, We Have To Break Down The Walls" (Mount Zion) and also the chant of "Got
To Be Conscious If Your Not Conscious You Cant Ride This Bus" (Got To Be Conscious) Which both suggest the need to fix todays

Hadal Zone - Befitting the subsonics of the music, The Hadal Zone (named after the Greek god, Hades, god of the Underworld), is the
delineation for the deepest trenches in the ocean. Even at this depth the waters teem with alien life, glowing with bioluminescence
and crackling with self-generated electricity. eleven8 skillfully recreates this landscape with lashing distortion and howling effects
emerging from the darkness before disappearing again.

Across the Sky - Where Hadal Zone takes you to the bottom of the ocean, Across the Sky rockets straight up in the opposite
direction, describing satellite trajectories around the Earth. Otherworldly winds and thudding chunks of meteor bass are propelled
through space by a payload of stuttering percussion.

Whether James Davidson and Greg Hepworth have an ulterior motive is debatable. Their motive, however, is unwavering, intentional
and fortunately well received. Infiltrating the drum and bass scene in in the early noughties, the UK duo combined their hand-built
studio with modern production methods allowing them to tap into a unique brand of high-tech basslines and fortified funk. The
collaborations nearly always come around through friendships and mutual respect for what each other is about musically. Ulterior

Andrey Burtaev aka Electrosoul System is one of the most popular and successful Russian drum & bass
producers. He started his career in the beginning of 00's and was immediately noticed by legendary LTJ Bukem,
who signed some ESS tracks on his Good Looking and Cookin' labels. During last 10 years Andrey released
dozens of EPs on world's best imprints - such as Hospital, Subtitles, Soundtrax, Fokuz, Ketama Records, as well
as his very own Kos.Mos.Music.
Fish Eat Duck is a long-awaited debut artist album by Electrosoul System. Andrey worked on this LP for several
years, and some music critics have already compared Fish Eat Duck with albums by Shpongle and Youth,
because it's not just a compilation of tracks, it's a story running for 80 minutes - with its prologue, culmination
and conclusion. The album includes tracks, influenced by different genres of music - such as drum & bass, jungle
or breakbeat, as well as some dub music with beautiful ethnic elements and structures.

Sick Music 3 sees the revival of the highly successful compilation series with another slew of top-notch talent from across the spectrum. Expect to find tracks and remixes from artists as diverse as High Contrast, Raiden, Jonny L, Technimatic, Lung and Madeon across this 26-track compilation.

Considered a pioneer of the early UK Funky days, Roska quickly carved his own niche in the sound; initially through his Roska Kicks & Snares imprint and later through his Rinse FM shows and releases on the ever-respected underground Ammunition / Rinse label. In almost no time at all Roska was in demand for remixes that spanned out from the underground, versioning Untold, Four Tet, Jamie George, Zed Bias and more in his own unique style. Roska now returns to Tectonic following the head-turning killer '480 BC' featured on 'Tectonic Plates Volume 3' earlier this year, and a collaboration with Pinch - 'Paranormal Activity' - in 2011. This time he's got a whole 12' to himself and we're treated to a real tour-de-force of tribalised rollers, thick with atmospheric attitude, thumping subs and a shoulder-popping percussive workout. 'Blurry' runs at 133bpm allowing it to sit neatly between dubstep tempo and the increasingly popular 125-130 bpm bass / house scene that's been developing in the UK over the last couple of years. Taking things down an 'ongy-bongy' path, this rhythm provides the soundtrack to a hunter chasing his prey through a humid jungle landscape, with fast weaving beats charged heavy by the deadly subs. The heat is on. 'Spearhead' sees Roska making a rare 140bpm trip, taking this rhythmical excursion neatly into dubstep tempo territory, creating an original cut which sits in it's own world of tribal grime. The bassline pounds heavy, eventually rising upward before suddenly plummeting back down to the murky depths from where it came, and back round again. Dis-hyeer quality dubstep music produced 'pon the other side of the looking glass.

* Taken from Sub Focus' eagerly anticipated sophomore album, 'Tidal Wave' hits you exactly the way the title would suggest. A huge washing sonic wave of a record, this bass music masterpiece is packed with trademark Sub Focus energy. Bursting melodies and stunning vocal hooks from Alpines lead the way to a huge drumstep drop that will have clubs and festival tents jumping. Another hands in the air breakdown offers some breathing space before Sub Focus switches to full on drum & bass for the second drop. This is undoubtedly the anthem of late summer, a sure-fire dance floor filler.
* Flip over for one of MTA Records' hottest properties, Killsonik, hits you with a tidal wave of grimey bassline combinations and armour-piercing synths. Keeping the tempo at drumstep speed, this will undoubtedly be a great alternative to the original for those who like it a little dirtier. 

Sunchase + Nick Bee follow up their appearances on Horizons music, after impressing with their debut single Zoned and also featuring on the landmark HZN050EP and Dreamthief 3. These artists are really making some moves, even noticed by Noisia, who gave them the honour of releasing an EP on their own label Invisible.
