Forging a sound that meets somewhere between bass and classic Grime, 'Slush' is the newest club-quaker from South London based 18 year old producer Pedro 123. With a trademark that focuses carefully on structure and a heavily syncopated rhythm, Pedro 123's tracks are instantly recognisable but never predictable.

On his 2011 demo, here completed, remastered and re-designed, Oyaarss already expressed all that made of his "Bads" album such a widely praised work: the intense analog noise, the bass-heavy droning, and most of all the implacable, misanthropic atmospheres. "Smaida Greizi Nakamiba": "The Future Smiles Wryly", but also very loud, as Oyaarss's music (here supported by three other Latvian musicians) sings the tune of decay and rust. Exigent, massive and calling the deepest pits of its listener's ears and soul, this album underlines Oyaarss's talent, while displaying another side of his vast repertoire

limited white vinyl pressing!Boot's inaugural artist EP for Paradise Lost - the "Colder Now EP" - is an open invitation to
this Australian's mystical dungeon, a place where Eastern instrumentation and emotive
textures mix seamlessly with the raw power of murky, ominous basslines to construct
powerful cinematic compositions you can lose yourself in.
Title track "Colder Now" takes us on a bleak, esoteric journey, combining Eastern strings
with a tense vocoded bassline, serves it up on a canvas of hazy oriental atmospheres, and
then brings everything to a point with some delicious dubbed-out subbass switches. What a
combo! "Debased" brings things back to bassline focus with its writhing subs and techy
synth stabs, creating a powerful, foreboding soundscape with minimalism, dark atmospheres
and the kind of razor-sharp beats that Boot is known for. "Structural Function" continues
in the same vein - a monster of a tune built only on the basics and oozing a strong, everpervading
sense of dread. This is dungeon sound from the ethereal plane! "Unit Zero"
slaps the finishing touches on the vinyl edition of the release, focussing on a funky bassline
and emotive atmospheric pads, building up into a meditative dub experience. Digitalexclusive
track "Shudder" provides a hard-running brockout but is still trademark Boot
sound.
Don't know what trademark Boot sound is Dont worry, once you've heard the "Colder
Now EP", you'll know and love it!

Superb old shool Jungle EP, with one dry minimal jungle footwork soundslike and one Deep Jungle side. Massive

Valentina. This massive package is opened by another brilliant Drum n Bass interpretation from Calibre. Rolling soulful Cailbre at his best. Marcus Intalex, Friction, Fabio, Hype, Zane Lowe, Rob da Bank, Annie Mac, Kissy Sellout , Toddla T, Mistajam, John Kennedy, Eddy Temple Morris, Erol A, Boys Noize, Riton, Tayo. Groove Armada.

Since the latter half of the last decade, Alex Melia aka Reso has been blending heightened technological futurism with dancefloor prowess to create a densely cinematic musical universe. Following last years 'Ishimura' EP, 'Check 1,2' is the next single to be introduced from forthcoming debut album 'Tangram' on Civil Music. An unflinching vision of the future and complete competency in his craft sees Reso construct a brave new narrative in the way that timeless artists like Richard D James, Photek, DJ Shadow and A Guy Called Gerald have done for earlier generations.'Check 1,2' is a curveball that reveals Reso's love of dark hip-hop, melding sounds and influences from MoWax, Ninja tune, sci-fi and dubstep. Whereas the album 'Tangram' succeeds in weaving a multitude of electronic genres together, the guest remixers on 'Check 1,2' break things down into their own dark corners of expertise. 18-Year-old 'Emperor' (Critical/Caliber/Modulations) is one of the new breed of uber-talented producers currently making waves within the drum & bass community. His heavyweight remix confirms this and shows just why Reso chose him to be part of the package. Philadelphia's Starkey (Planet Mu/Ninja Tune/Civil Music), delivers a frenzied revision. Ahead of this forthcoming album 'Orbits' due late Nov on Civil Music, Starkey combines his Street Bass sounds with Amen breaks and 8 bar grime to make a true club weapon.Munich's Danny Scrilla released his first EP for Om Unit's Cosmic Bridge label earlier this year and support for his raw sound was unanimous. Seemingly built on a template of vintage dubstep his remix subtly updates the dark sparse sound to a 'slower than it feels' 85bpm. Running double time the high hats add to the heavy head nodding roll and chest rattling subs of this 'One to Watch' artist. Look out for Danny Scrilla's first EP for Civil Music late 2012.Japanese 2 x DMC world Champion DJ Kentaro closes out the package. Kentaro is a huge Reso fan and fresh from releasing his 2nd album on Ninja Tune, (a campaign to which Reso contributed a remix) whipped up a beat-juggling, electro-workout that lurches and bounces with more edits than you can count.

White Marbled Vinyl'Wisdom' comes from Consequence and ASC who provide 2 thinking mans dancefloor tunes. 'Noisy Spirits In This Soul' sees Consequence conjure up memories of classic Jonny L and Spirit and marry them in a bottom heavy juggernaut that has been the chosen opening tune of label boss Presha's DJ sets for several months. 'Snow Wolf' is a longtime personal favorite of Loxy, and shows ASC in devastating form flexing his ability to chop a break with the best of them. Pinned by a brittle, shuddering bottom end, this tune brings the past to the future in a way only a handful of artists in Drum and Bass are able to in 2012. 'Wisdom' is a deep understanding and realization of people, things, events or situations, resulting in the ability to apply perceptions, judgements and actions in keeping with this understanding.

Following fast on the heels of his huge EP on Noisia's Invisible imprint comes The Ukraine's newest star NICK BEE's debut on ZERO T's FOOTPRINTS label.Taken from the forthcoming compilation LP 'FOOTPRINTS Vol.1, NEW BORN STAR shows an unseen side to NICK BEE, with melancholic vocals drifting over an emotive chord structure, driven his trademark snapping snares and heavy bass. On the flip we have his infectious Reprint of PROKTAH's 'WRONG WAY' which showcases Nick's dancefloor sensiblities to their fullest. A taste of what's to come from NICKBEE in 2013, currently working on his DEBUT LP for FOOTPRINTS.

Civil Music's latest transmission comes in the form of four advanced dancefloor cuts from Moscow's Alexey Devyanin under his Pixelord moniker.Having a rich history in electronic music, with beats released under a number of different aliases (including a rich vein as Gultskra Artikler), Devyanin's latest incarnation as Pixelord has seen the producer traverse a wealth of influences, from the experimental field recordings of Fennesz, to the heavy-hitting rhythms of a new Russian beats scene and beyond. With the Supaplex EP we see Pixelord taking the reins of an exciting new chapter for his country's club music, leading the way through Russian juke, emotive digitalism and half-stepping bass works.
Opening with the unmistakably Chi-Town indebted beat patterns of 'Been Lookin', the EP outlays the 2012 Pixelord dynamic; heavy trippin' juke rhythms, pitched down ghost MC's duetting with their angelic female counterparts, and sky high synths that sear their way across the heart.'Freeze The Star' takes this template and twists it into a deeply layered ode to trap architects like DJ Toomp, Beat Billionaire and
Burn One, part low swung call-to-arms, part melancholy reflection. Complete with Q-Tip's heavily treated vocal sample and looped r'n'b couplets, the tracks multitude of components oscillate around each other, dipping and weaving throughout the waveform to create something equal parts solid and elegant.
'Paperball' follows, acting as a frenetically percussive demonstration of this artist's programming chops - all tempered hand claps and rolling 303 drums - before finally 'Vibrate' rounds things off with perhaps a more recognizable UK lean. Gloopy, rumbling melodies scale their way across galvanized percussion, as stuttered MDMA-dipped synth work creating the perfect foil for the tracks
second drop, which sees polyrhythmic UK funky-isms played out against a backdrop of broken halfstep beats.
Alongside developing acts like 813, DZA, Lapti, OL and Vtgnike, Pixelord is spearheading a burgeoning Russian scene that's progressing the bass game to the furthest corners of Europe - the Supaplex EP reaches far beyond this Muscovite's neighbourhood,
beaming his multi-faceted sound to the world.

Supported across the board on major stations such as BBC 1 Xtra and Radio One. Plus DJ support from: Foreign Beggars, June Miller, SkisM, Trolley Snatcha, Pascal, Bailey, Crissy Criss, Mind Vortex, Culprate, Basher, Vapour, Random Movement, Mindscape, Grooverider, Slum Dogz, LAOS, Ravager, RV, Stanza, Ruffstuff, Danny Wheeler, Ashatak, Phantasy, Erb N Dub, Sappo.

Still fresh from the fallout of Bad Taste Volume 5, one of their biggest and grimiest releases to date, Bad Taste unleash
another salvo of the grittiest Drum and Bass - this time from industry heavyweights Mindscape, Audio and Chris SU.

Earlier in the year Rene LaVice's 'Absolute Monster' EP blew everyone away with its melting pot of different influences and styles, all blended together with Rene's undeniable sense of experimentation. Having pushed the boundaries once some might be tempted to rest on their laurels and stick to a familiar pattern, but as his brand new single will show Rene LaVice is not that kind of producer.

The Storm - Space age pads suddenly drop you into a dark rolling storm. Another sure fire anthem from the Number One U.S. Dynamic Duo.
Ghetto Blaster (Urban Assault Remix) - America's finest deliver a dance floor slamming remix of the Bangta Rights original, taking it to the next level & most certainly living up to their reputation!

Without wanting to patronise anyone, the release of Amit's new single on Metalheadz offers the perfect opportunity to set the record straight about a few issues. Almost everyone in the bass music scene will know by now the basic history of dubstep, a collective of rogue producers and DJs backlashing against the commercial takeover of UK garage, the dark heart of London's nightlife scene since the early 2000's that's since been converted into a Grammy-winning, radio-friendly genre of its own.

DECIMAL BASS is the latest in a long line of up and coming producers to be championed by DJ Marky, and he really stamps his authority on this release for Innerground.

Many of you will remember the sound of drum & bass circa 2001. For some a golden era of a genre which had recently grown from a British institution into an immense global movement cutting swathes through clubs and festivals the world over. That year saw Manchester's Future Cut break through with arguably their most memorable and haunting release to date.

Undoubtedly one of the hottest record labels in the drum & bass game right now, Program is the brand new imprint from Ram Records. Having already proven their metal, launching with two huge releases from Frankee and Wickaman, Hoodlum, Mavrik & RV, Program is now ready to unleash their third; another huge single from an exciting fresh-faced producer.
* Kove's musical talent is already picking up steam thanks to a huge remix for LA music legend and ex-M83 guitarist Big Black Delta. And now his debut single for Program will cement his reputation as one to watch even further. Picked up by Andy C and heavily supported in his sets, Kove's first outing on program is packed with essential drum & bass energy.
* 'Iodine' leads the way with a stunning musical intro that's filled with dance floor promise. Kove slowly builds the tension with filtered drums and haunting snippets of vocal before a winding, grinding bassline smashes into the mix. This one is sure to set clubs alight whenever it's dropped, confirming exactly why Program have given Kove their seal of approval.
* Next up is 'Open Ground' an altogether lighter affair, fans of the deeper sound of drum & bass will love this track. As the name suggests this one is filled with wide open synths and atmospherics all of which culminate in an effortlessly rolling breakbeat and booming sub-bass combination that provides a perfect balance to Kove's debut single for Program.

HZNX follows an incredible run of high quality RELEASES with one of the most aniticipated remixes of the year.
