A taste of the new Paradox Ramifications LP with a 12' album sampler of DnB and 125 bpm breakbeat on the flip. Mystical vocals and strings lead 'Antilogy' into a car crash of heavy drums in true paradox style whilst crashing into dark tunnel of esoteric stabs and samples. Sub bass booms layer the kick drums and acid samples pave the road clear for the relentless ride of Antilogy. After 5 years of solo Alaska albums 'Black 69 (version)' marks a welcome return to the drum techniques of Paradox. This sampler-only version of 'Black 69' is raw uncooked meat as they come with 125 bpm ultra-dirty funk breaks and eerie 70's soundtrack samples lavished in effects, demonstrating an aura that only Paradox knows how to create. Deep pads and vocals emerge from the dark and when the analogue bass drops.. you instantly know the unique identity and sound of 'Black 69 (Version)'. Opening cut 'Without Warning' recalls the tune that rewrote the rules and made Lynx's name back in 2007, Disco Dodo. One of the true last Dnb anthems that transcended the niches that so often divide the genre. He's come a long way since then, and recent releases for Metalheadz, Soul:r, Brownswood, Black Acre and his own Detail stable have demonstrated his quality across the board. Lynx's trademark sonics run throughout the LP, splicing together time signatures and tempos to represent his sound and his label in the fullest. Collaborating with a diverse range of artists in the true spirit of eclecticism, familiar faces including Kemo, DRS, Fats and Deeizm step up to provide vocals whilst the likes of Marcus Intalex and Noisia weigh in to join Lynx at the controls. With a widescreen vision far beyond simple dancefloor drum & bass, Lynx sets out where others fear to tread and crosses bass music boundaries and delivers a complete package with the kind of finesse only an experienced producer of his calibre can accomplish.Radio & club play is coming from all corners with Andy C, Bailey (BBC 1Xtra), Camo & Krooked, Culture Shock, dBridge, Doc Scott, Flight, Friction, Hype, Klute, Noisia, Marcus Intalex, Presha, Shy FX, Youngsta (Rinse FM) and Zero T in support Andy C: Without Warning is sick bro! Critical's Modulations marches forward this time picking up even more new talent in the form of Mortem. Coming straight out of Poland this marks another solid step in Mortem's burgeoning career, his first official release for the Critical stamp and a great pre-cursor for the future; there's a lot more lined up in the studio where this came from, trust us!Smooth, ethereal pads abound as 'Get Closer' opens proceedings with tapping percussion and a rocksteady break that set the mood. A low-slung tech-drenched bassline is what this is all about and when it drops it rolls hard drawing influence from that old Virus space funk sound from yesteryear. A very polished piece of production indeed.'Monoveler' is sinister from the off, industrial borders on the medieval as the intro paves the way into a future-glitch b-line that claws its way inside the mix as the bars move forward in a tense battle all the way to the bitter end. A very cool indication of what more is in store from Mr Mortem.

Returning to Dope Ammo HQ after a longish break, Digital Soundboy Benny Page aka Goldstar lays down a track of epic proportion. The 'Hummer' EP is the follow up to the successful 'Judgement Day' EP by Calibre for Samurai Red Seal and has been compiled to represent a cross section of Calibre's versatile musical styles. The 'Hummer' EP is harder edged musically and perhaps more dancefloor focused than his more recent releases, but as always the quality quotient is 100%. From the soaring bass of 'Hummer', to the controversial dancefloor groove of 'Dog Shit' and the more traditional soulful mastery of 'Touch Me' and 'Free My Mind', this EP truly has it all. Support from DJ Marky, Marcus Intalex, Friction, dBridge, Flight, Spectrasoul, Lenzman, London Elektricity, Fabio, Doc Scott, Total Science and a whole lot more.

wo long awaited heavyweight dnb anthems finally make their way into djs hands. End Of Days was one of the feature tracks on the latest Dieselboy mix 'Unleashed'. Halftime drum and bass insanity! 'Nexus Polaris' is another huge tune with heavy rock-style drum work and pummeling industrial strength second drop. Essential!

Having jumped back in the D&B saddle towards the end of last year with their stunning album 'Turn The Page' there's been no turning back for Craggz & Parallel who've immersed themselves back in the depths the studio that they share with D Bridge and Kasra. With an array of beats lined up and ready to go C&P decided to let a couple of friends loose on two killer jams from said album; Need For Mirrors and Jubei, please stand up! Jubei jumps up to add his take on 'Future Shock'...and what a job he does. The intro is sick, the drop is sick and the tough drums are just....sick! Bass stabs and surges into the mix like a precision swordsman as the track gets to work demolishing those who bare witness. An awesome dropout ensues and we're back into it right up to the end. Big bad and very, very heavy.Having been a big favourite with the A-list in its original form (even opening Andy C's latest Nightlife mix album), the title track 'Turn The Page' was already a heavy slab of D&B but Need For Mirrors have managed to draw it deeper still. The eerie intro elements remain along with a solid two-step break and that spoken vocal, then it's left up to some classic Full Cycle inspired bass work to rock the speakers for a naughty but oh so nice re-lick from the NFM duo. As far as remix 12's go they don't come much better than this.

The new Citrus is exactly the style you'd expect. Roaring basses, rolling beats and crazy one shots.

MAV is an oldtimer on the Fokuz imprint with his last release from back in 2006. That was a banger though, called Ocean Phantom. Now dutch synth master Mav is back on track with a collab with Syndrome's Krone to add some neuro bass lines to the matter.

The new Command Strange LP on Fokuz is coming up. Of course with every LP comes a sampler.

Following his collaboration "Scribble" on Underworld's album "Barking" last year, and his remix of Tiësto's "Kaleidoscope" in 2009, the Cardiff based producer behind such contemporary classics as "Racing Green", "If We Ever" and "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" is back to take up his rightful place as one of UK dance music's elite.
