This is the second compilation album from Ireland's ever inventive Subtle Audio label. With Dj's as diverse as Mary Anne Hobbs of BBC Radio 1, Bailey on BBC Radio 1Xtra and possibly the best-known name in electronica, Aphex Twin playing Subtle Audio material regularly, you can rest assured that this is Drum & Bass beyond the normal scope and will be enjoyed by many who thought they didn't like that style of music! The Vinyl side of the project holds 5 exclusive tracks. On disc 1, Requiem kicks things off in style with heavy hitting drum onslaught of 'Ancient Dub' while on the flip-side the sweet ambient breakbeat of Accidental Style's 'Space Funkt' is one of the most delicately delivered pieces of music you'll hear this year. Disc 2 takes in the soaring synths of Mecca's 'Virtual Affair', the ratchet and wrench inspired percussives of 'Janne' by Dan Habarnam and a 170 bpm VIP version of Sub's downtempo jazz offering on the CD version of this release - 'Sensualism'. As you will hear, these producers are bringing fresh ideas and an experimental ethos to the sound of Drum & Bass. We're looking forward to hearing what they come up with next! Watch this space.

Next release on DSCI4 will be Lost Dubs 1 a unreleased Ed Rush & Optical remix of the classic anthem Sonar. The b-side being Trace - Final Chapter (Tim Reaper Remix]) strictly limited vinyl only. So the story with Sonar VIP is... (words by Trace) Optical ripped from one of the only playable dubplates of the track and cleaned it up so it could be played out. Anyone that was at the last DSCI4 night at ghost would of heard it and it did sound good. So I have taken this version to Stu @ Metropolis and had it de noised and re mastered it is the only way I can get this version to the people who want it. We will be doing strictly limited vinyl so if you want to have this in your collection this is it.

Zinc in running tings in Dnb & crack house at the moment

This release is the sampler off DJ Sappo's latest album project 'Sound Advice'. Jump up king Serum has stepped up and remixed the Advisory classic 'Tickatock Bass' to maximum effect. This tears up the dance every time. On the flip and Conntecta and DNK bring the pain with a track called 'Troublemakerz'. Get on this release before you miss it!

Coventry based Audio Addict Records was founded in 2008 by DJ Hybrid and Dub Kid. After their first release sold out they're back with the second which won't disappoint. On the A side Dub Kid changes style and lays his beats and bass down at 140bpm, this weighty sub driven track proves that this guys knows there frequencies. On the flip DJ Hybrid steps up the pace and slaps you in the face with some warm warping basslines. Big thing's for this label in 2011.

'Navigator' takes a familiar chord progression and chunky old skool breaks during the intro, leading to a drop so heavy it'll leave Raiden and Scorpion scattering! Pounding drums are paired with a low-slung bass that wobbles and bounces its way across the dance, forcing ravers to jump around like Liu Kang doing a dragon kick. On the flip 'Psychosis' delves deep into the disturbed mind of Jonny Cage. The atmosphere is tense as gliding pads and echoed percussive

PsychoFreud aka Anders Figenschow hails from Norway. Anders has been pumping out quality reggae jungle since 2006 and has had a string of releases on the biggest Jungle labels out there. This release is full of energy and is a must have!

Sensai does it again with this release on Lowdown Deep's sister label Subway Sounds. 'Virus' tears the dance apart with crushed beats and a super subby bass riff. On the flip DJ Guv steps up and hits you with 'Destiny'. Again this tune has everything going for it and this is a well rounded release.

Loxy's Cylon Records has been the benchmark for minimal tech funk since it started back in 2000. On their sixth release Dan HabarNam rolles out two tunes which are well crafted and carry some low frequencys that'll destroy the dance.

Men of the moment 'Flux and Dr P' step on the XS Dubz imprint for their 7th release. XS have been slamming out big dubstep riddems for the last couple of years now and don't disappoint again. On the Flip 'Zero G' hits you in the chest with some serious bass and dubby samples. Into dubstep~ Then get this in your box!

hobia, known for his releases on Renegade Hardware, Critical & his own Coded Music imprint, makes a guest appearance on Ingredients. 'Clean Break' has been receiving loads of attention, with it's solid, head nodding beats & huge rhythmical bassline. This is a wicked tune to get your groove on! 'Voyager' on the flip features Baron Von Alias and is a murkier affair. Tough beats, moody riffs and grimey basslines. Dj support from Phobia, Kasra, Teebee, Presha, Lee.

State Of Mind check out the darker side of D&B with this horror movie inspired 12'. Krueger is gnarly kiddie killer of a tune, The only amen track the kiwi lads have done. Big Support from the usual suspects. Space chase is a bit more of roller, and already an underground favorite. Listen closely to hear Stu wailing on the axe.

After the huge success of Bassface Sascha's International Sound release in 2008, the D Style crew felt compelled to go back to the German-based producer for some further freshness. International Sound VIP and End of Line will be no disappointment to those who've heard his previous productions. Get yourself ready for some no-frills, high-energy drum and bass that cuts straight to the chase.
