We kick off 2013 in style with an Ep from Kiiroy. It´s always exciting for us to be introduced to a new artist. Especially when we are blown away by their Music. For his debut on Cellaa Music Kirroy brings a bouncing track which is perfect for all floors. 30 years old Kiiroy is using freaky instruments and concrete sounds, our lovely boy, always keepin his distinctive funky´n´groovy attitude. Deep, fresh and seductively satisfying, this tune was designed for the discerning Dancer.

A bumper remix is lead by Stefano Libelle who bring a trademark deep house tune with a weighty, warped bassline and euphoric break. Here he strips the original to it´s essential parts. The super dry kickdrum and percussion in combination with the dark bassline together create Stefano´s own deep-house vision.

Daniel Dexter, well-known for his expressive productions, presents this classical piece of house music that has one undeniable influence: Jazz. The sample might evocate a 90s Hip Hop feeling, reminding of that summer of our youth when girls still tasted like ice cream and music still came out of your portable ghettoblasters. But combining very earthy old school drums with the sax playing its intriguing twirling melody, Dexter's focus on the pure essentials gives the track an inimitable contemporary sophistication.

A2. Today (Animal Trainer Remix)

Who could put warmth into a track with long stretched bass sounds better than a Swiss That's why we have Animal Trainer straight out of Zurich aboard, emphasizing the track's laid back summery feeling by accompanying it with lots of ear tickling tinkling, dreamy synthie pads, and hand made drums. It all builds up, little by little, towards the ultimate break that will put you to the state of complete madness.

We knew that Audiojack is always a sure shot but this time they outdid themselves. They boys from the industrial allyes of Leeds made a killer track topping understated coolness with hard drums and short crisp synthie steps that pierce your brain, two goose bump moments included that will keep you wanting to just go 'yippeah yeah!!!' over and over again.

This one starts out with a pumping chicago bass and is driven pitched black vocals and swirling Rhode chords. No doubt you will end up with a feeling of standing in a warehouse back in the infamous nights when the Roland TR 808 and 909 gives off clouds of smoke. Daniel Dexter managed to create a gentle and subtle tribute to heroes like Lil Louis, Adonis or Steve Silk Hurley giving the track an advanced touch by turning it into a mélange with modern UK sound.

Another week and another debut for German label Cellaa Music as they welcome Giuseppe Cennamo to the family. Since his first productions dropped in 2009, the Italien born has gone on to grace labels including Desolat, Minisketch, Leftroom, Moniqué Speciale and of course his own imprint Carillon. Giuseppes's "Butterflies In Your Stomach" ep sees the label continue its stunning run of quality releases.

The Title Track "Butterflies In Your Stomachl" is an earthy house track with a beautifully soulful and mellow vibe.

"The Third Ear" features an irresistible tech house groove and the bassline drops on cue pulling the listener deep into it.

After his hit release & jacking essential "Dont You" we hoped we didnt have to wait long to welcome back Simion into our release schedule. Fortunately. time flew and it didn't take him much to deliver, as expected, a groovy 2-tracker ready to ignite any club where dropped.

First track could easily be a single, "Warning" has a high intensity flow, with Simion's trademark classic oriented house drums, a groovy bassline and an overall dance-your-ass-off vibe topped with catchy vocal line and a giant breakdown. This track is sure to be the standout in any set.

To complete the package we have "Jack Ur Body" and as the name indicates, is another groover, with a bassline sliding perfectly through the beats, classic string work and robotic vocals adding emotion to a very driving journey into the land of jack.

It's is a pretty groovy and energetic EP from uP & pG. Eastern melodies carry's vast expanses of Asia. Remix by Andrea Roma is delicious and particular, a combination of excellent pumping percussions.

Wilhelm is pale like soaked atmosphere as he comes staggering out of the chemical fiber factory. He has put behind the first heavy pounding shift. As he daydreams, suddenly he notices the reverberant voice of this little guy. And not because he makes him want to dance, but because of his soft poly-vinyl-chloride shoes. What brand you might wonder Ronte Monte Mo. But it does not matter, since both have long risen to their Lilliputs and have headed in direction consumerism. This surreal scene is just a tact in the lives of the two, but it leaves a lasting impression and will never leave the head of the listener.

After a long break from the dance floors of the world, Sunset Handjob returns with a bang. Sir Martin Waslewski manages to produce tracks that go hand in hand and give each other such an impressive bassline that will give you goose bumps. And just like William's shift, these tracks will reverberate far into the dark walls of the electronic slaves.

For Serkal's eleventh release, we are proud to present the 'Revolver Beatz' EP. Living up to his reputation as a skillful tactician in the studio, the 'Russian King Of Funk' Tripmastaz has provided us with three of his latest groove filled productions. Astronaut Music was founded in 2008 with the aim of showcasing a wide spectrum of dance music
and now on their sixth release, the label has stayed true to that promise. This Space Disco 2014 EP
features two fantastic remixes of Hungarian artist Godspeed by Solee and Oliver Schories. Both
tracks were previously released on other EPs back in 2011 but get a full re-issue here.

Solee has released under many different aliases since the nineties, has run his own respected label
and has graced the likes of Noir Music, Get Physical and John Digweed's Bedrock. Hamburg's Oliver
Schories, meanwhile, has spent the last decade plus producing and DJing a dizzying array of styles
from d&b to 2-step, electronica to rave, and has done so on Ostwind Records, Parquet and many
others.

'Stage Whisper' (Solee Remix) is an electrifying bit of spine tingling house music designed for
maximum impact in a club's main room. The rubbery, slick kick drums are the driving force of the
track as widescreen, deep space synths that stretch out in all directions. The subtle filters and pristine
production make this a magical cut that really sweeps you off your feet.

Next, 'Astronaut Voices' (Oliver Schories Remix) is just as studiously well crafted. It's a more
sensitive affair to start with thanks to the serene string intro that sets an emotive tone, but then the
gallivanting kick drums land and the track accelerates through the galaxies. Pained vocals lurk in the
mix and add yet more depth to what is already an all-conquering house tune.

Once again here Astronaut Music has come up with some suitably terrific music for their 6th
EP.

For Serkal's ninth release, we are proud to present the 'Deep Luv' EP. Bringing together two of the most innovative techno producers in the entire industry, 'Deep Luv' is an eclectic combination of seductive grooves infused with underground vibes that accompany listeners through the darker side of the sound spectrum. Person des Science-Fiction Helden Buck Rogers. Buck ist im Kampf gegen die
Tigermenschen vom Mars und allerlei Bösewichte aus dem Weltraum schwer
vereinnahmt und wir bekommen einen musikalischen Einblick in die Aufgaben
Buck Roger's. Das Stück wird dominiert von einer Piano Hook und einer
durchdringenden Bassline die sich unaufhörlich in die Magengrube gräbt,

Argy returns to Memento after remixing Italys' house stars Pastaboys, this time teaming up with one of the country's hottest and internationally renowned producers, Alex Picone.

The two of them have released on some of the most revered contemporary record labels: from Cocoon to Cadenza, from Defected to Poker Flat, from Ibadan to Bosconi Records, the list goes on.

Their two-tracker opens with 'Eternal Moment': after an epic old-school synth intro, the booming kick drum leads the way to a galloping acid rumble and to an orgy of claps and hi hats, until the vicious vocal snippets welcome the uplifting and joyous melody.

'This Is How It Goes' follows the same path with sick percussions and hi hat's frenzy, while the bass line and the synth play along harmonically. Sudden breaks give a sense of suspended groove, cleverly designed to bring the rhythm back soon after in a burst of energy.

The guys here are showing their impressive skills in crafting this ambitious ep: after just one listen, it's clear how these tunes stand out from the ordinary mess it's more and more likely to find in the market today. With a hint to house music's history and legacy, they have reworked the genre's distinctive features, making them as fresh and cutting edge as they haven't been in a long time.

For the label's 14th release, Memento welcomes the collaboration of Italy's finest house enthusiasts Pastaboys, who bring their love of dance music's black roots and afro-american soul sounds, combined with an exquisite european-influenced sense of rhythm and melodies. "Tresca" evolves around a sweet italo-disco bass that sends the listener back to the 70s: a soundtrack to a sleazy underground movie, with nightmare-ish synth chords in the background. Strong claps and percussion build the tension up to a Donna Summer-esque break, leading the track to an anthemic climax ready to shake the asses of all the party people out there. Argy's remix adds loopy vocal samples while making the bass more muscular and playing with retro-sounding big-room house synths, perfectly matching the spirit of the original cut but at the same time taking it to the next level. A specta cular two-tracker, which stands out as a devoted tribute to the legacy that shaped the history of house and disco music, from turning inspiration into a brilliant and contemporary piece of work.

"Hot Strings" might suggest a 90's string-dominated typical track, but this one is not at all the case. Perc And Pig And Dan pick up techno where Samuel L.Session left it, only to make it even heavier with two amazing remixes of ''Four To The Floor'' - Perc's remix is a ''Radio Slave meets Chris Liebing'' moment of relentless techno, all about reverbs and echoes. This is another one of those tracks with a lot of small elements evolving slowly and becoming at some point so intertwined that anyone would just get lost in it. A mechanical beat made out of some distorted banging sound vaguely evocative of a drum that just goes as deep as techno goes, only to be somewhat softened by the subtle atmospheric waves from the original track that kind of drifted into the remix. A brilliant track, of a new purist kind.
As soon as this DJ-friendly track starts the tight production skills of the Spanish duo Pig And Dan can be recognized. It wanders into the realm of underwater funk and features a wobbling bass coupled with an almost gentle feeling, a peculiar aspect for a track that can undoubtedly be classified as a banger. A robotic rhythm is slowly unveiled in a very clever yet classic framework, with a long breakdown paving the way for an even bouncier beat. A nigh time slammer.

Keeping with the same quality crowds and DJs have come to expect, Hertz presents the very strong and hypnotic track "In My Mind". Florian Vietz and Andreas Höpfl met at high school, a mutual love of skating and a shared passion for music took them on a trip through Hip Hop, via Moombahton and finally the Raw House they now produce. The duo certainly live up to their name, which they took from a health and safety warning adorning the side of a coffee cup, which read 'Contents Hot'...

The title track 'Do it' starts hard and stays hard. A jacking four/four beat is punctuated with tightly chopped vocals from the outset. Synth stabs help to keep the track moving, but the pinnacle of the track is it breaks and builds... which are guaranteed to raise the smiles and hands of clubbers from Munich to Milan.

Steve Huerta is recruited on remix duties, turning in a polar opposite of the original track. Steve's take on the original is a dubby, deep and hypnotic affair, perfect for earlier or later in the night.

The second original track from the Coeo duo 'Will I' shows the pairs ability to embrace different stylistic influences. A low slung affair, with beautifully crafted vocals and an almost percussive arpeggiated lead which sits mellifluously on floating pads and raw piano chords.

The second remix of the title track comes courtesy of the London based producer Vorres. Described as a 're-work' and not remix, Vorres retains the key elements of the track, bringing down the BPM and infusing with it with a syncopated drum pattern and a large 808 bass. The re-work is tied together with a gospel-esq pipe organ.

Counter Pulse stays substantial to the underground model & presents a mysterious alias by the Scandinavian artist "Lodbrok". In contrast to other vinyl labels today Counter Pulse show no agenda to pick up the current trends and safe-name remixers to gain quick sales.

Feukt Call EP is precisely all that in a nicely shaped up four tracker release including a remix by Henning Baer from Sonic Groove, plus a remix from AnD from Black Sun Records.

Ponderous irregular rhythms with a focus on erosion & intense hi-hat patterns with cautiously arranged stabs is what this EP is all about.

Steve Nash is our next pick in our quest for discovering amazing new talents in the shark
infested waters from Germany. His last material on Natural Rhythm is still tearing up dance
floors in the world week by week, and here on we decided to release him on a well deserved
12''.

The first track on the 12'' , 'Dancing' , begins nicely enough with a cavalcade of
percussive delights. Soon enough he chunky kick drum moves into gear, alongside a cheeky
little baseline that rumbles beneath the surface. A sweeping synth enter the track, and leads it to
the breakdown where funky melodies build to the beautiful sweeping synth, that all unite with
the chunky baselines and driving beats
On the b side we see No Como which kicks into gear with some driving beats yet again
as well as a deep bouncy baseline. Very solid in the first half, the track also hits a curious
breakdown that is similar in style to the a-side, featuring a high pitched synth, as well as some
funky vibes, all while the hi hats are building furiously.

Re.You's remix has quite an enchanting feel throughout, with float effects and nice
dreamy feel to it, despite the fact that the beats are quite solid and the baseline quite chunky.
It's a very nice production with solid rolling beats, bass and a nice vocal that makes a great
track incredible.

Emanuel Satie has gained a high reputation for doing quality tracks . Working as intern
at Cocoon surely helped him learn the business. When you hear his remix u get that specific
summer anthem quality track which makes you dance on the side of the pool and after jump
inside because you are too heated by it. This is a real summer anthem, ready to be played out
in Ibiza and at all backyards that feature fresh air!

Nachdem sich die erste Brokkolante restlos verkauft hat, geht die Erfolgsgeschichte in die zweite Runde. Hier kommen die Remixes von zwei wahren Künstlern, der erste Remix kommt von Patrick Arbez, was es wirklich schwer macht, noch etwas über ihn zu schreiben. Er ist der Newcomer Superstar aus Berlin, und wir freuen uns, ihn auf dieser Platte mit einem sehr flippigen und progressiven Remix von Avanzarre zu haben. Der zweite Remix kommt von IR, einem jungen Berliner, der unter anderem bei Hardiskrecorder mitgewirkt hat. Er ist wohl einer der aufstrebenden Techno-Produzenten in der Hauptstadt.

Rising British producer Brett Jacobs drops the 'Mutra' EP via London's Act Natural imprint this July.
Brett Jacobs has been plugging away on the underground circuit for several years now, with recent releases for Luna Records pushing him further into the limelight, picking up support along the way from the likes of DJ Sneak, Sebo K, Ralph Lawson and tINI. Here Brett joins the Act Natural roster, following the paths of Huxley, DJ W!ld and Chris Carrier.
The release kicks off with title track 'Mutra' first, a low-slung, minimalistic house track, tipping its focus towards a straight percussive led groove with off-kilter, swinging hats and claps, subtle ethereal atmospheric touches and drawn out sub-bass tones. Up next is 'Cile', staying on the same tip with a drum-driven feel, organic percussion leads the way here, while dubbed out synth stabs, electronic bass licks and processed vocal chops paint the bigger picture, cleverly meandering around the sturdy foundation of the beat.
Lastly to close the release Jacobs turns in 'Simmer Dub' as the B-Side, this a fantastic closer for the single, seeing Brett delve deep with a less-is-more approach. The drum programming maintains a restrained 4/4 feel this time, while understated, classy synth sequences intricately bloom throughout the six and a half minute duration, and the low-end elements subtly rumble away in the depths of the background, creating a perfect after hours house cut.

My childhood was, from what i understand now as a grown up, not so bad after all. I had the possibility to do pretty much what i wanted as long as i didn't hurt anyone or myself for that matter. I had some friends, some of them i would consider my best friends ever, although now i haven't seen them in years. We grew up thinking we were going to change the world and fight the stupidity that had seemed to hit any one who was old enough to grow facial hair.

We went out at night doing stupid things thinking it was for the best of society, because society just didn't understand. My parents taught me what they knew but I'm not sure how it affected my way of thinking as an adult. In many ways, my childhood shaped me into the person i am but also what i haven't become.

I live life far from poverty and political unrest but i sometimes think about what i would do under different circumstances or who i would be. I guess I'm lucky enough not having to think too much about it. From my perspective as an adult, i guess my childhood was alright. hood was alright.

Edgy Danish producer KANT provides us one of his deepest cuts yet on Kittball.

Fast-rising Danish producer KANT has had a stellar year with releases on reputable imprints such as Suara, Electronique, Sleazy Deep, and Katermukke. Once a hip hop artist under the name of J.O., Joachim Schaarup-Jenson has explored various avenues of genres and spent substantial time between London and Berlin over the last decade - two key factors in forging his signature edgy sound. KANT even translates to 'edge' in Danish, a fitting name for such an exciting and unconventional artist.

'Never You Mind' is a track which epitomises this statement. A driving progressive bassline makes up the bones of the production but it's the sullen chords and intangible cries from the vocals which create an unyielding aura of ambience throughout. Talented up-and-comer In.deed presents a remix which boasts more of a percussive punch which pairs with a funky hook to create a bouncier comparison to its original. Kittball artist Mono Negro finishes up with his 'Trip To Hvar Remix' which is deservingly titled due to its tranquil vibes and warm synth washes that perfectly emulate the nature of a sunny Croatian beach.

And 2013 starts big time with the first part of the remixes for the Terminal M owner. It's Belgian Ramon Tapia who delivered two (yes 2) very different versions of 'Namaste', both roadtested by Monika for months. Deep house maestro Nick Curly took the chance to refine 'One World' featuring the incredible voice of Robert Owens. And it's magic.
