Madlib's Rock Konducta - the first of two rock-inspired entries in the producer's long-running Beat Konducta instrumental series. Madlib announced his Rock Konducta album with a limited edition 45 made specifically for sale at the Zamrock Live! Madlib Medicine Show in San Francisco in ealry 2013. It was a fitting place to make the debut, as his previous Beat Konducta in Africa album was heavily inspired by Africa's vibrant 70s rock scene, with a specific focus on Zambia's Zamrock. Rock Konducta - which will be presented in two LP volumes - is the fifth installment in Madlib's Beat Konducta series. Previous entries include: Beat Konducta: Movie Scenes, Beat Konducta: in India, Beat Konducta: Dil Cosby and Dil Withers Suites and Beat Konducta in Africa. Rock Konducta grabs its source material from various worldwide rock scenes from the 60s through the 80s, from American psychedelia to Germany's krautrock to acid-soaked Spanish prog to synthy, early-80s oddities. Tied together by Madlib's unique sensibility, these scenes coalesce into a new whole, and open the forum for the question: if these 26 tracks are his introduction, where will he lead with Vol. 2

... There's a riot goin' on!

Legendary drummer Roy Porter released his first two albums ("Jessica" and "Inner Feelings") in the early to mid 1970s. Although he retired from performing in 1978 on health grounds, he continued to give workshops and ran his publishing company. In 1994 he released his final album titled Roy Porter Sound Machine '94 - Generation at the age of 71. Guest musicians include not only original members of the Sound Machine but also the two rappers Ded to the World and Big Born as well as Houston Blue. This album combines organic jazz-funk grooves with Hip Hop beats and rhymes from the 1990s in perfection. Real DJs who still spin vinyl will be pleased with the loud pressing and proper mastering.

This album is available as digital download as well as on deluxe 180gr vinyl LP (limited to 500 hand-numbered copies).

Feadz is releasing his debut album ' Instant Alpha' fifteen years into his career. His music is a careful balance of urban and electronic that finds its roots in rap, freestyle, electro, techno and house, but also in more ghetto influences such as footwork, trap, baile, etc...

In short, Feadz's music is a quintessential Edbangerian alloy. Feadz is a total music geek on a constant search for new things to play or to sample, and an erudite of vinyl production, illustrated by the namedropping of super edgy labels delivered via Kito's voice on 'Electric Empire'.

'Instant Alpha' is the result of a fifteen-year journey for Feadz. These 13 tracks are the expression of his hybrid and concise spirit; vivacious, electrocuted, colorful, cheeky dance music in 3 or 4 minute tracks. Joyful, unifying and open party music. Typically Ed Banger.

The 7" features 2 remixes from Fulgeance's album Step-Thru (released 2011 by rx:tx). They are contributions by VECT and Moresounds.

Fulgeance is no stranger to the conosseurs of contemporary beats. Since the release of the Step-Thru album, he is receiving a lot of media attention, peaking in the second half of 2013.

He has just released his album Cubes in mid-October (on Musiquelarge) and also as one half of the Souleance duo, releasing Brotha EP on Nov 4 on First Word Records and the very successful La Beat Tape in the early 2013.

Moresounds (B side remixer) has also recently received a lot of attention for releasing his new self-titled EP, out on Astrophonica on Nov 11th 2013 and with previous releases on Om Unit's Cosmic Bridge and other labels!

On A side there is a remix by VECT, an upcomig artist from Tolouse (F) with very consistent production and a fast-growing international following thanks to exposure by XLR8R and the likes. He remixes the opening track Whut It Iz which also features rap/lyrics by Fresh Daily from NYC.
It is a limited run of 300 copies

London based record label Goon Club Allstars are proud to present their second release; the four track Mssingno EP. With their second vinyl release of 2013 Goon Club Allstars continue to carve out their own space in club-focused music, with Mssingno's haunting debut 12' EP pitting cold, melodic synths and deftly cut vocal samples against growling basslines and off-kilter drum patterns. As well as being responsible for the huge 'Brandy Flip', a track played out across radio and clubs through 2013, last year the London-based producer scored some deserved attention producing 'Drugs Don't Work' for masked Tottenham MC Cas (formerly Castro). His icy, romantic flip of 'The Verve' tune of the same name provided the ideal backdrop for a rare glimpse into Cas' self-inflicted weaknesses and here proves to be just as effective at stirring the emotions without the aid of a vocal narrative. Whether he's toying with the slick 'n' sensual, as is unashamedly evident on the heated 808-driven opener 'Skeezers', or bittersweet quasi-R&B twisters on one of the year's more unlikely watery-eyed earworms 'XE2', Mssingno's first excursion on wax is earnestly dedicated to the feels; all of them. Case in point: 'XE3's weary-hands-in-the-air sunrise synths juxtaposed perfectly by '124th's hood-up cap-down gulliness. It may be a dangerously well-trodden arena, blending bold synths with pitch-bended vocals, but few producers in the last few years can hold a candle to Mssingno's craftsmanship and knack for progression. Simply put, Mssingno is one of those rare ones, the ones that leave a mark and his debut serves as a bold statement of intent for both himself, and the rest of the Goons. Support has already come from Sinden, Elijah, Faze Miyake, Blackdown, Visionist, Slackk and DJ Slow. Listen:

After KRTS toured his successful LP The Dread of an Unknown Evil, left with only one pair of boots and a few spare clothes of baggage, KRTS obtained his visa and began a new life as The Foreigner in Germany.

The Foreigner is looking through an alien's eyes from the first step of landing on new soil. The outsider position - Not knowing the language, direction, new set of rules, personalities, and learning how to become a part of a new society.
Bonus Digital: Sunrise Over Warschauer (Sieren Remix)

This year's label-compilation thematically revolves all about the rise up from the generic. It is about young talented artists who are still struggling on their way up and are out there to make a name for themselves.

A wild stallion fights it's way up from the dirt and tries to receive recognition by separating itself from the herd. Breaking through the anonymity of the group to the freedom of running through endless land- and soundscapes into horizons of new sonic worlds.

The compilation includes IIIII (Five Eyes), KRTS, Sieren, my.head, FiJi, Long Arm, Kidkanevil, Daisuke Tanabe, Hanami, Julien Mier, Deft, submerse, opti, Den5hion, Tom Day, Monsoonsiren, Tendts, Thriftworks, DH the Mythicalifornian, PYUR, Rain Dog, Daixie, FauDeam, Jean du Voyage, Djéla, Pierre Harmegnies, Robot Koch, Robert Valsinger, Blossom, Neema, Tomika, How Green, Drogtech, Bruises, Night Logic, Deep Shoq, Stèv, Cass., Anna Marjamäki, Vitrion, and MockSun.

Chicago producer drops two instrumental gems on a limited 7" for Heardrums, label run by Dreas.

The dynamic duo from LA return with their second EP for FADE TO MIND. A 7 track EP of "bio-mechanically engineered heavy-hitting club experiments". Somewhere between techno and grime, club music for the post-dubstep world. Already tapped for a feature in PITCHFORK don't sleep on this.

Soundway records present a unique record: a modern, haunting take on Sudanese music heard through the sonic lens of French artist / producer, Débruit and the poetic, ethereal lyrics and melodies of Sudanese-born singer Alsarah. Aljawal (The Traveller) is a nomadic reflection for the 21st century. Check!
On Aljawal, Débruit managed to capture and play with an analog sound that stretched the boundaries of the Sudanese rhythms and melodies that Alsarah had grown up with. A unique record was imagined and is finally presented here after a 2 year interplay of ideas and interaction between France and Brooklyn: Alsarah's adopted home

Annie Hall's new LP Random Paraphilia on Detund™ explores these experiences through five original tracks with remixes by Richard Devine, Valance Drakes and ERP.

Setting the stage for this intense journey into experimental electronics is Annie Hall's track DSM-5 which when spliced and diced in the remix by rhythmic mutilation master Valance Drakes establishes an ache deep inside mind and body. Together they offer a bold introductory to Random Paraphilia. Annie's collaboration with Shadow Huntaz in Bandit 28930 adds a male vocal and sets the stage for release of the pent-up pressure, through a remix by none other than Richard Devine, who emerges after months incommunicado from his new Atlanta based studio with Bandit 28930 Remix -- a remix for which many around the world have been anxiously awaiting. Prepare yourself for new Richard Devine frequencies creating what we believe to be the most blissfully disturbed / re-aligned symphonic nerve rhythms of aural affect. Annie takes the reigns back pumping a frenetic, raw, experimental sound in Sada Abe. Tables are next given to Convextion aka E.R.P. who captures her snare for a mesmerizing effect in his gorgeous idm electro soul Sada Abe remix. Annie's voice and rhythm machines respond with breakbeat-style in Foihtreiu diversifying the set with what only a graceful feminine touch can produce. Rounding the set out is Symphora featuring new synced visual work by CPU Bryant Place, SF based Obscura digital artist, complementing the mystical journey with a visual experience unlike any other.

Record Sleeve and promo video are by DMAS3 who once again completes the audio-visual package with elegantly futuristic visual art appealing to our desire for journey far and wide. Annie Hall's Random Paraphilia is personal, intimate and political. It is a highly-charged and dynamic 8-track LP beckoning us to explore the world anew.

When Will They Wake Up is Julien's second proper release with King Deluxe, and this time he brought friends. Gillepsy, Kettel and Sun Glitters join him on the 12", and then we also have four additional digital-only interpretations of his music courtesy of Alphabets Heaven, Axel Thesleff, Sanctums and Sam a la Bamalot.
