House Vinyl New Releases - News

Aaron Andrew's Chubby label doesn't rush things. Since launching in 2018 and now only just hitting its sixth release though the music sure is worth the wait and is proof that quality will always win over quantity. Leonid's twin brother, Al Smith opens up with the cuddly and cosmic depths of 'Drama Room' before getting more dark and unsettling with his twisted synth modulations on 'Full Of Music', which then becomes a gorgeous downtempo cut with star-gazing pads and splashy hits within the Specter remix. Dan Piu picks up the pace for some delightfully warm deep house dynamics on 'Days Gone' and 'Snows Of Solaris'. Last of all is the more scuffed up, heads down deep house murk of Rai Scott's remix of Dan's intro tune, 'Day's Gone'.

« Flight of The Comet » is a landmark record in the Frappé catalogue : recorded in studio with Art of Tones and the Chatobaron band, its lavish sound has been hailed by critics worldwide, the record having received support from Laurent Garnier, Terrence Parker, Folamour, Gilles Peterson to quote only but a few DJs who have played it.

This record is so richly produced, that each part is a unique groove gem, from the basslines, to the organic drums, to the guitar riffs and saxophone solos. So much so that the label and artist have decided to extend the flight, push the comet a little further in its sound galaxy, with 5 exclusives remixes from Crackazat, Turbojazz, Paul Cut, Patchworks and Raw Analog Funk. This remix EP is just as rare as the original record, each remixer artist has brought its own sound signature to the original tracks, taking them to new uncharted skies, but still gently cruising at the speed of sound. Don’t let this comet pass you by !

For Michigander’s fifth release, Brian Kage delivers four solid dance-floor fillers, each infused with a unique blend of melodic Detroit soul, intelligent acid and perfectly mixed percussion. Each offering teleports the listener into a future where social distancing has finally abated and celebration can commence.

Lockdown starts the record off with undulating 303 bass notes that groove around in a circular arpeggiated formation until hypnotic 909 percussion breaks through with echoing claps and weaves together a tale of futuristic tension building.

Hold On Pain Ends features a stabbing analog synth-line that repeats a half-beat phrasing contrasted with slamming technical percussion, a heavy kick and a lush pad that is perfect for late nights in a warehouse.

That Woman from Michigan contains gentle swinging upbeat percussion and deep soothing chords with samples of Governor Whitmer asking all Michiganders to do their part and join together in solidarity. A subtly modulating acid line builds tension into a perfectly resonating crescendo.

F.U Covid19 - An ominous swelling pad rips across the dystopian horizon as swinging rimshots build around a deep pulsing kick and a dirty mono synth swirl. Echoing vocal samples punctuate this acidic frenzy until the tension falls away giving dancers an opportunity to catch their breath before the next round of infectious rhythmic groove forces the hypnotic spell to intensify.

DJ ROSS and ERIKA present “Who I Wanna Be”, an uptempo song inspired by Eurodance 2000, with both techno trance influences and sounds and an ethereal piano, all crowned by Erika's sweet voice.
This is not a tribute to the past, but a novelty that will make their fans dance again.

DJ Ross and Erika have collaborated on several musical tracks in the past, they have reached the top of the charts not only in Italy, but in many countries around the world and which has led them to perform from Brazil to the United States, in several European countries, from 'Egypt to Russia.

The first was "Relations", then "Save My Heart", "Ditto" and "I Don't Know", among the most representative of the 2000s. Subsequently, in 2015 they also collaborated on the song "I Think About You", published with Warner Music and which reached the official Italian top 50 airplay.

In general, the collaboration between DJ Ross and Erika has always been very positive and gave birth to some of the greatest hits in dance music which are still among the most danced to today together with the HITs of that time.

The vinyl containing the original version and the new remix by Rudeejay & Da Brozz who gave a more club/festival twist to the song, both in an extended version. Writers: Rossano Prini, Erika de Bonis, Andrea Mitidieri Published by: Briscolas Publishing Sas

Vladimir Sivc (Funky Destination a.k.a. Mr. Louie) was born on August 19, 1979 in Osijek (eastern Croatia). With dedication to the retro sound of pure funky instinct, he set out to create a wild and groovy sound with this project. Louie took his first step into the world of music by taking guitar lessons. Later he devoted himself to rock singing and playing rhythm guitar.

At the end of the 90s the move from the eastern part to the western coast of Croatia (on the Adriatic Sea). The encounter with the turntable makes him experiment working as a DJ.

Subsequently he begins to produce his own music, traveling through various styles, using house and tribal elements trying to avoid artificial sound processing as much as possible. By using live instruments, the sound remains fresh and alive, resulting in a musical product whose vibrations contain an indestructible power of movement.

He has collaborated with several European labels including IRMA Records, Timewarp Music and Sound Exhibition Records.

In this single we find two of his most famous songs in remix version: Take It Down by LTJ Xperience and Mr. Bong by himself under his pseudonym Louie. Plus the original versions of Take It Down and another of his classics Praise Me Now. While compiling these notes and preparing the release of the single for distribution, we received the terrible news of his sudden passing at just 44 years old. We are completely shocked by this news and we plan to honor him in any case by publishing this EP to which he was very attached.

Shortly after the release of 'Like Father Like Son', Generation Next is coming with his third 12' release titled 'Nocturne'. With an array of styles, Generation Next shows why he is and great upcoming artist and has good diversity.

The first song on the 12' is 'Idee Fixe', a very smooth cut dance tune. The piano chords carry the song with the help of some strong percussion and a moving bass. 'Chili Cheese Fries' follows with an underground sound. It gives you a real Detroit feel. A very simple track that you can vibe too.

ABD006 is finally coming with from French talented Hustache with his first vinyl release. 3 solid tracks for the dancefloor tested out at Sunwaves and in some other parties around the world, alongside and amazing and trippy remix from Camelia. Played by Crihan, Viceversa, Prichindel, Mihai Pol, Direkt, Vlf, Cristi Cons, Vlad Caia, Sublee, Silat Beksi and others

Awaited for over a year, Karnak On Acid's second release features Jonny Rock, the most influential interpreter of the Messiah Sound: two tracks that catapult us on a mystical journey directly into the temple of Karnak.

NDATL continues with a release from Detroit soldier Norm Talley (Upstairz Asylum) Right out the gate Norm deep aggressive sound comes across loud & clear on "Gonna Be". Then down deep in the sound of "Power" where spoken words give insight.

Side B "The Bounce" should have dancefloors worldwide doing just that. "The Truth" no longer needed to be sought cause here it is in musical form. And a stray away from the usual Norm Talley we get the softer side "Dearly Beloved" ft Jerald Dameyon.

Xciot EP is the first release by Pyramid Of Nahash (Pyramid Of Knowledge and Nahash), who in this project for Asphalt Records, tag team to merge breakbeat science and bass experiments with classic analogue Trance and early Ambient-Techno melodies. The result is a cinematic, sci-fi safari through outer space in a futuristic hardcore vessel.

Remixing duties have been handed to a second collaborative effort: RVSHES (Logos and DB1), who in their Recombination Mix, carve, bend and reshape the original material into a rugged, angular, yet melancholic techno artefact.

Echoes of this summer's 'Shango' still shimmer through systems as Detroit's Waajeed continues to make good on his promise: to 'put paint where it ain't.'

After years of soul, funk and hip-hop explorations as a founding member of the Platinum Pied Pipers (among many other innovative escapades) and, most recently, a soulful remix of Amp Fiddler on Kenny Dixon's Mahogany Music, Waajeed is building on the fresh line of house grooves he commenced this summer. His first pedigree dancefloor tracks in almost 20 years, he taps directly into the source and builds with his own soulful bricks. It's working, too; DJ-wise he's playing alongside Moodyman, Mr. Scruff and Carl Craig this fall, while 'Shango' has enjoyed heavyweight support by The Black Madonna, Carl Craig, Jackmaster, Gilles Peterson and many notable selectors.

Alex Albrecht returns to Analogue Attic Recordings for the label's inaugural release of 2024.

An immersive exploration spanning house, downtempo, and ambient genres, Albrecht guides listeners through a ephemeral sonic journey. Up there with the best on the label, this is another sonic celebration with that inspired, immaculate AAR sound.

Cyril The Great's debut EP is a must-listen for fans of analog sound and dance music. The record's balancing act between 80's, 90's and futuristic dance beats makes for a unique and captivating listening experience. The sentimental and melancholic flow adds an extra layer of emotional depth to the EP. Overall, this vinyl release is a promising start for this new born artist and a great addition to any music collection.

Reissue of eternal Detroit-House /
Sushitech Records classic on black vinyl.

DumitrEscu, a Romanian DJ based in London who previously released EPs, among other names, on Priku’s Atipic Records, is the latest name to grace de Particular project.

His style blends in perfectly with Particular vision and you can hear this from the first track. The mesmerizing background noises are in sync with some lovely but haunting atmospheric sounds that accompany a powerful bassline to drive away the listener into a state of perfect bliss.

On the second track, which is fittingly called Mezmerizing Soul, DumitrEscu shows off some impressive skills in building a track that can’t really be described as a club banger, but rather a perfect afterhours jam that will hypnotize listeners on the dancefloor.

Next up is Synthesia, a wonderful but pragmatic track which slowly but surely evolves into a lovely tune that is carefully constructed by the author. The end result is a superbly complex exploration into DumitrEscu’s creative mindset. Daniel Broesecke’s remix adds just the right touch for it to be blasted through the dancefloor so that people can get their feet moving.

For its first release, Metallic States proudly presents a 2 tracker from Goa Trance veteran Joking Sphinx. With 2 uncut dancefloor tracks from his archives (1996-1997), this new release from the producer proves that music can be relevant more than 25 years later, forged in the past but here to stay.

We are pleased to present our 5 vinyl EP, with tree original tracks from Kaesar and a remix from Cosmjn.

It has been a year and a few months since we released our last record, and with a summer full of parties, we feel it was the ideal time to release one of the top producers from Portugal, Kaesar.

For us it's a special record, besides being our first record by a Portuguese artist, it's also his first solo record.

Three tracks that represent Kaesar's personal musical character, with a powerful Cosmjn remix, which will not leave anyone indifferent on the dance floor.

After years of friendship, we decided to launch an EP together, this ep was kept in our headquarters more than a year waiting to see the light of the day.

Three strong original tracks and great remix by the Romanian wizard Cosmjn, an exclusive design, and a special edition that includes a A3 Risograph print and a bonus track.

The fourth production of Nagoya based label RICE. The fresh Croatian artist Mariano Mateljan whose production been released from Infuse、Gilesku Records、Moss Co、u.dig is the fourth one of RICE. A-side bump that keeps thick and straight tough grooves. B1 is track that bouncy rhythm and voice samples making people impressive. Deep track B2 that unfolds aggressively while fluctuating low. An undisputed EP where the trackmaker's sense and the label color of RICE perfectly matched.

Up next on Jimmy Rouge’s Orange Tree imprint is Moving Still aka Jamal Sul. Following his Dar Disku release, supported by Hunee and Palms Trax, Jamal steps up with an eclectic four track EP full of Arabic influenced chuggers, a style quickly becoming synonymous with the young Dublin based producer.

Detroit producer Norm Talley shares his debut album, Norm-A-Lise' on FXHE Records. Having started his career when disco was king, Talley's real life influences over his 25+ year career have included the originations of house through various iterations. His reference points as one of the original members of the West 6 Mile Detroit crew and his dedication to his Analog only studio position him as one of the more dynamic Detroit artists who's finally taking the time to release a complete project for his long awaiting fans.

The album features 14 original tracks with influences of disco, house, and beyond taking his signature infectious style deeper. On top of all of that, the album includes a track written by FXHE label boss Omar S aka Alex Smith featuring L 'Renee.

Originally recorded in the late 1970s and using many of the musicians employed by Diana Ross on her track 'The Boss'. 'Can't Put No Price On Love' has long been regarded as North End's 'long lost' single - an inspired disco workout employing that pre-dates the Arthur Baker/Tony Carbone-helmed project's most famous song, Tee Scott/Larry Levan favourite 'Happy Days'. The original multitrack was unfortunately lost, but the track finally appears, 40-odd years after it was recorded. Whether what we're hearing was finished and mixed at the time is uncertain, but the 'Club Mix' is certainly authentic sounding - a genuinely energetic, joyous and effervescent New York disco number with full orchestration, addictive vocals (Jocelyn Brown & Dennis Collins on backing Vox) and a killer groove. Elsewhere across the EP, we get two versions of 'We Can't Live Like This Anymore' - the synth-laden, solo-heavy disco-boogie style original mix (B2) and a superb 'drum break' percussion tool (A2) - and a brilliantly low-slung instrumental dub-disco cover of The Temptations' 'Cloud 9'.

Odd Mob’s ‘LEFT TO RIGHT’ has staked its claim as one of the hottest tracks across the circuit thanks to early support from some of the biggest DJs in the world including Diplo, Eats Everything, Disclosure, Fatboy Slim and Dom Dolla. Peak time business with a hypnotic vocal that works perfectly for this hands-in-the-air house stomper.

On the flip side Odd Mob remixes an absolutely iconic noughties classic from Planet Funk – ‘Chase The Sun’.

DJ support from Adam Beyer, Chris Lake, Diplo, Disclosure, DJ Boring, Dom Dolla, Duke Dumont, Eats Everything, Fatboy Slim, Hayden James, John Summit, KC Lights, LP Giobbi, Maala, Michael Bibi, Offaiah, Pete Tong, TSHA, Walker & Royce

Search Party is the debut album from pianist, Rupert Cox. Rupert has made a little following for himself already being a respected player for Myele Manzanza, China Moses, Chris Hyson and many more.

His debut album swings between laidback contemporary jazz and swirling electronics. There are mellow and moving moments alongside joyful, uplifting melodies and dancing rhythms.

The record has already won support from people like Deb Grant on BBC Radio 6 Music and is slowly developing an ardent following.

DJ Support:

Deb Grant (BBC Radio 6 Music) and Tony Minvielle (Jazz FM)

Jacob Collier: “Having known Rupert for more than a decade, I can honestly say that this kaleidoscopic beauty of an album does effervescent justice to his magnificent musicianship. It’s a journey for the soul! I can’t wait for the whole world to hear it.”

Brad Mehldau: “Music is all about storytelling for me at its base and it’s got that going on all the tracks… It really holds together as a singular voice.” “It feels like I’ve heard it before, like it has a familiarity, but it doesn’t sound like something or someone else.”

Cataleya Music debuts with a bright effort from Chicago’s Vick Lavender entitled No One’s Going To Love You. Here, the Sophisticado Recordings boss drops his uptempo reimagination of a time honoured Soul classic. With a Balearic tinged guitar, a fat bassline and buoyant synths, Lavender has created a real beauty. Remixes come courtesy of Californian rising star Coflo. His Remix deploys a mysterious vocal over questioning keys and steadfast percussion. The Remix offers expressive rhodes passages and glorious guitars, whilst Coflo’s Dub Tool is a driving finale. Cataleya Music is a new label from Sweden, dedicated to Deep and Soulful House music. The imprint has many more exciting releases lined up for 2024.
