Louie Vega is launching a trio of Double Pack 12” releases that includes special unreleased versions of select titles from the Expansions In The NYC album project. Each package also features unique customized art by celebrated artist Andrew Thiele who also created the art for the album jacket as well. This package is a tribute to two of Louie’s musical heroes, namely the late Patrick Adams and Larry Levan. Legendary producer Patrick Adams was the writer of Chimi and Atmosphere Strut, and equally legendary DJ Larry Levan was instrumental in breaking Bernard Fowler’s early releases with The Peech Boys at The Paradise Garage before Bernard was catapulted into worldwide fame as one of the featured back up singers on tour and in the studio for the Rolling Stones. Chimi and Atmosphere Strut also feature collaborations with Louie’s renowned Elements of Life band and New York based House and Hip Hop DJ / Producer extraordinaire DJ Spinna.

Four tantalising cuts taken from the forthcoming full-length album ‘Operation Disco' that Greg ‘Dr’ Packer has put together for Z Records. On an unstoppable run recently, the quality shows no sign of slowing down as Packer showcases his talent for splicing and dicing tracks.

Sounds vary from the original 80s synthesised boogie of Colors, the early disco house of ‘Love Fantasy’, through to the mid-tempo grooves of Sunburst Band featuring Leroy Burgess. All reworked by the good Doctor. That’s right, this EP is just packed full of Packer.

40 Thieves classic hit "Don't Turn It Off" feat. Qzen on vocals gets the 2023 update with new versions by Sweden's finest Bella Boo and professional boundaries pushers Session Victim. Adam Beyer supplies a new Truesoul release that connects with his more funky, tech-house side of his person.

Indigo Aera is rebooting its ÆX limited whitelabel series after 3 years of radio silence. This new release aex016 marks the start of a new run of various artist ep’s with the familiar recipe: dancefloor oriented dj tools drawing inspiration from the more classic side of techno.

The release includes 2 new names to the label: the A1 track from Malin Genie is a true homage to the percussive tribal techno era in the ‘90s. The A2 from Anna Kost, is a strong electro / house hybrid which builds on a strong flowing breakbeat. A3 is pure melodic Detroit styled dub, from Ivano Tetelepta, who simply never disappoints and always delivers the highest standard. The final two “last but not least” tracks are solo productions from labelheads Jasper Wolff and Maarten Mittendorff.

Z Lovecraft AKA Rhythm Section International's Mali Baden-Powell, offers up four originals on the Utopia Club Tracks label that showcase the disco/house end of his varied output. 'Exotic Passage' coasts along serenely with gently slapped bongos and warm electric piano, definitely a weapon to have in one's warm up arsenal. Multi Culti tune in to earth’s axial tilt in the second round of its flagship 12” series with EQUINOX I: The global occult label kick off the seasonal shift with a magical collaboration between Mexican chug-guru Iñigo Vontier and Moscow based brothers Simple Symmetry. ‘Hocus Pocus’ is an anthem for the fuzzy-minded, post-lockdown party-goer. It’s a mesmerizing merger of contemporary electronics and vintage psychedelia. We don’t know much about Ponty Mython, but their sound is right at home on this eclectic record. A freeform flea-market of samples strewn around a broken beat, strung together around a catchy melody, ‘Pinto La Meah’ has an optimistic feel, a subtly nostalgic sense of travel and discovery that suits the global groove collecting theme.

The B-side tracks take the tempo down while raising the hands in the air, perfect for lockdown house parties wherever big-room raves are still ruled out. Ecuadorian Pancho Piedra leads the proceedings with ‘Servio’, serving up a loopy banger that recalls classic Comeme in the best possible way. Punchy, no nonsense party track with just enough spice in the salsa. Colombia via Buenos Aires producer Hermetics teams up with ZZK affiliated, Quito based Hannah Lee on ‘Lux Naturae’ with an absolutely massive sounding beat with killer sub bass. Finally, Magic Pirate takes the downtempo breakbeat vibe into trippier territory with a wicked sounding piano and aphex-synth-sounding romp through his wild imagination on ‘Make me a Jazz Coffee.’ These are fresh, genre-defying and tracks to enter the autumnal equinox, and a fearless move forward in time for earth dance fans the world over.

We are pleased to reveal the first release from a new vinyl label and blog. Bare Bones Recordings are a purveyor of all things Deep House, and BBW001 is a Various Artists EP with individual tracks from four excellent artists. The idea is to showcase the various styles the label will put out with future releases.

Up first is Entrepot head honcho UC Beatz with “Dullness” which portrays a classic deep house sound, with a modern twist. Former Ruff Stuff member Flaze offers “Forty” that simply destroys dancefloors with an almost Techno feel. Fresh from recent releases on Burnski’s Aesthetic and North Wales label Floorpiece, Adam Nahalewicz’s track “Out There” is a deep minimalist workout. The final track from Slur “Uncaged” keeps the emphasis firmly on an underground tip with a real DJ weapon.

Fresh new collaboration between friends Handy x Shall Not Fade, bringing together artists from each label to produce a side each for the VA.

Lining up for Shall Not Fade we have London's 9th House & Berlins Ruff Stuff and batting for Handy we have Trouble Makers Adam Curtain, Bobby Cazanova & a collab from Arthur Dudley and the ever on-form Retromigration.

The long awaited EP by Will Buckley finally comes sees the light.
Soul Sides EP showcases Will's search for a perfect loop with three originals and a super smooth remix courtesy of Parallax, PKA C.Scott and Buscrates. Each original was mixed by Lovedancing's own, Pontchartrain.

Audio Soul Project is back with their latest vinyl-only EP, Simurgh. With a title inspired by the mythical Persian bird, these four tracks fuse elements of house, R&B, dub, and drum & bass to create an ecstatic and hypnotic experience.

The EP kicks off with "Deliver Me," a dreamy house track with warm filtered chords and bouncing synth bass. R&B female vocal ad libs pepper the groove and the refrain "Deliver Me" adds a sense of yearning. The percussion, including morphing 4x4 and breakbeat drums, piano and synth stabs, nod to the cerebral Detroit and Chicago house compositions of the mid 90s.

"Azizam Dub" takes a more stripped-down approach with a subsonic bass line bump and Juno 106 stabs. Frantic percussion and deftly cut vocal samples accent the ebbs and flows of the arrangement, making for a dynamic and engaging dance.

The B-side of the record starts with "Internal Vybrations," a bass-heavy drum & bass track that winds and jumps with multiple layers of deep, fluttering bass and ambient pads and strings. Percussion layers like hi-hats, shakers, and maracas lift and relax the rhythm in parallel to the rest of the composition, making for a hypnotic and trance-inducing vibe.

The B2 track on the EP, "Celebration Dub," is a bass-heavy swinging house track with ecstatic diva "Whooo" samples that punctuate the ups and downs of the groove's energy. Classic reggae and dub-influenced vocal samples and heavy tape delay on certain key instruments add to the joyful and uplifting vibe of the track. The keyboard

and string section can transport a dancer to other realms of consciousness if they let themselves go to the groove.

Simurgh is a masterful fusion of various genres that showcases Audio Soul Project's production prowess and ability to create an entrancing sonic journey.

An inspired collaboration from two veteran producers on top of their game - Kassem Mosse and FIT Siegel. Three well-crafted techno and house tracks created from sessions recorded at Omar-S' FXHE Studios and FIT's studio at Submerge in Detroit in 2016, then mixed down by Siegel in 2018 after a few years of playing rough versions in his DJ sets in clubs around the world. isolée’s fourth album resort island is a record as that's in turns hazy and thumping, euphoric and melancholy, always delivered in brilliant splashes of color. Spanish producer Paul Rudder returns to Shall Not Fade for a deep cut of high-calibre house tracks; after gaining traction with his shining production skills, Paul Rudder has built an international following and Feels Like Forever EP overflows with optimistic energy.

Fellow rising star Kresy collabs on the A-side, which features cruising techy dreamscape 'City Lounge' and 'Floating Penthouse', a lively summertime dance track spurred on by a deep bassy rhythm. Josh Wink is someone who needs little introduction having created some of the biggest and most influential club tracks over the past 30 years including I’m Ready, Don’t Laugh, Superfreak, Talking To You, Meditation Will Manifest and Higher States Of Consciousness to name just a few out of his never ending catalog. He has recorded on some of the biggest labels of house and techno including, Nervous, Strictly Rhythm, R&S, Bedrock, Cocoon, Ellum Audio and PokerFlat. In 1994 he started Ovum Recordings which is still as strong as ever, and is heralded as a buy on sight imprint for lovers of deep house, techno and acid.

Josh and Jimpster first became acquainted when Jamie was asked by Josh to remix a track from his 2009 LP When A Banana Was Just a Banana, and the favor was retuned when Josh remixed Jimpster’s Alsace and Lorraine in 2011. The pair haves tayed in touch since, cut to 2023 and we’re excited to present you with a full signature sounding Wink EP made with Freerange in mind, right in time for the summer.

Autonomic Journeys leads the charge with a track which hits that sweet spot between pumping Detroit techno, deep house atmospherics and twisted acid. 909 drums, 303 squelch and 106 pads ensure Roland is well represented in the track and all underpinned by a fat rolling bassline.

Pan Gloss gives us a chunky slice of bouncy percussive house which exudes a positive energy as it unfolds over 7 minutes. Fat stabs sit front and centre while chiming arpeggios and acid line dance around the beat making for a track which makes you move as much as get lost in.

Closing out the release things go deeper on San Guine, with a snappy groove laying the foundation for lush sine stabs, filtering pads and a hooky cross-rhythm analogue synth line.

Once in a blue moon a singer comes along that stops you in your tracks, Lady Blackbird is one such talent. Dubbed by Gilles Peterson “the Grace Jones of jazz”, her album Black Acid Soul dropped in September 2021 to glowing reviews across the board from the likes of The Guardian and New York Times.

One of the standout tracks ‘Lost and Looking’ - a cover of Sam Cooke’s sparsely arranged original, where Lady Blackbird builds the track with her haunting vocal and sparkling piano notes performed by Deron Johnson, gets the rework treatment from none other than Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy.

Released via Ross Allen, and long-time collaborator Andy Thompson’s Foundation Music, the Classic Album Sunday’s originator, co-founder of the Lucky Cloud System parties and David Mancuso protégé, turns in her ‘Cosmodelica Remix’ muscling up the track for the dancefloor, with a demon bassline, funk fuelled bass guitar, and cosmic acid lines. There’s also a dub for those who prefer a more stripped down but equally pumping affair.

Celebrating its 50th release as a label The Disco Express shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Featuring six sublime and original dance floor weapons from the label’s past, present and future, the compilation encapsulates the essence of the The Disco Express sound.

Pressed on limited edition ice white vinyl, the landmark '50th Release Special' journeys though funk, disco, nu-disco, soulful house and jazz funk - all courtesy of the label’s finest production talent.

Featuring club anthem 'Never Give Up On Love', slap bass funk groover 'The Job' and disco dynamite 'Give Me Your Love', the A-side of '50th Release Special' is bursting with energy, fine tuned for the dance floor.

Flipping to the B-side Hotmood brilliantly reimagines 'In The Music' featuring the power vocals of Karmina Dai. The release is neatly wrapped up by Foot-Loose's etherial jazzy house mover 'Nah That's Ross Kemp' and Sean Den's Radio 1 loved, disco house tool 'Ain't No Love'.

My Shoulder is Your Shoulder”, kicks off this EP with a highly danceable and dense vibe. Deep synths evolve with snappy percusions and a bassline that leaves no doubt: this is going to be serious shit. “Teson” follows on the same side getting the table ready, with some breaky vibes and a resting bassline, mastered by cheeky vocals and playful synths.

The B side seems to spread a brighter atmosphere designed for the daytime, delivering stripped back and sensual contrasting tracks. “Teapetesis” incorporates great melodies and rolling riffs that bring the energy flow up until the end. Lastly, “Comprehension” gives a closing with the perfect dreamy calmness.

Baguette Magique Records is a music company based in Madrid and established in 2021 by Thomas Moulin. Two previously unreleased mixes of "Tonite" by Aaron "FIT" Siegel, with vocals by L'Renee. The O.G. mix is a version Fit started working on to be a dub version of "Tonite- Original Mix", but morphed into something a bit more epic, and due to time constraints could not make it on the initial release. The D.D. version, is based on the original demo track Fit wrote before any vocals were recorded, then edited and dubbed out by Omar-S. If you liked the original release on FXHE, be sure to have this one as well and if you don't have the original release then you better get that one too!

Stockholm's Dungeon Acid returns with one of the strangest, nastiest acid records to date. "Carnal Knowledge" is caveman techno, one chord hammered with hypnotic precision, a two-note acid line adding an air of polyrhythmic mystery. The heavily processed sounds of copulation comprise the bulk of the atmosphere, the whole thing feeling like an alien, updated version of Lil' Louis's immortal "French Kiss". The Instrumental version is a slightly swingin' variation on the same theme. Dungeon Acid principal Jean-Louis Huhta is known for editing the sweetest parts from his hardware enduro-jams. The "Bonus Beats" title for B2 is a bit of a misnomer; in fact, these are the sounds of mutant, futuristic lovemaking in all their glory, perfect for sexing up otherwise sterile dance music. Get some!
