Guesthouse Music is ecstatic to welcome the ultra-talented, chart-topping Joey Youngman back to the realm of classic house music with two officel remixese of Bobby D'Ambrosio's So Thankful, And Elevate Me. These stunning remixs, Youngman's first house productions in more than a decade, demonstrates with absolute clarity Youngman's roots in and love of the house music genre. As an added bonus we've got two more tracks from Peter Brown and label boss DJ Mes.

Zapatilla, better known as Louis Hackett, is a founding member of Brownswood 's Owiny Sigoma Band and key collaborator on Eska's Mercury nominated debut album, but has a neat side hustle making house music with one foot in the gentle melodies of Balearic beat and another in the irresistible energy of Afrobeat. It's a recipe that he continues over onto this fine four tracker, which opens with the smoothly grooving but lively 'Like Dat' before 'Zimzimmer' builds up around a gently frenetic Afro guitar riff. On the flip, 'Disco Facial' is slower and more retro, with a synth line that could be from a lost John Carpenter soundtrack. 'Self Isolated' completes the package in its most esoteric fashion, another synth work rooted in the past, this time perhaps echoing the approachable experimentalism of Jean Jacques Perry.

Collins Dictionary Example sentence: „Other ocular signs include involuntary rhythmic movement of the eyeball.“ Someone in the editorial department wasn‘t paying attention and involuntarily spoke a deeply buried truth: The movement from the eye to rhythm and from there to sound is sometimes a small, puny one.

Now Infuso Giallo provides the proof at the same time and implements his live show for last year‘s debut album „Ocular Soda“ as an audio-visual show, as intertwined senses. Visible sound, audible images. Such ideas only last when they are put to the test and scrutinised by several experts.

The duo Globus, which consists of 2/5 of the post-hardcore band PTTRNS, examines the synth hook of the second part of the double-opener „Every Waking Hour Pt.2“ by playing it, varying it, letting it sway.

In contrast, Anatolian Weapons from Athens can‘t help but immerse the ambient, Soft Machine-production-like first minutes of „Every Waking Hour Pt.1“ in a sinister black light. Staggering into a basement club filled with nocturnal shadow people and indulge in carousing. Cautiously at first, then more and more determinedly.

From Hamburg and Berlin, the „Mole Gaze“ gets a special treatment. The trio Love-Songs drags the number off to Hamburg harbour, packs it onto a steamer, deep into the bow and lets it operate the sonar there. Conrad Schnitzler would have been delighted.
Infuso Giallo, meanwhile, realises that there is nothing more boring than standing still, so he revamps „Hello World“ and gives it a rear spoiler that keeps this number in lane even at club speed.
Speaking of „keeping in lane“: Niklas Wandt, the magician, doesn‘t even try such tricks. He simply throws an acid bolt on the closer „Ocular Soda“ and waits to see what happens. Alongside breakbeats from nowhere, Albert Hoffmann himself appears on a bicycle.
„Ocular Soda Remixes“ is the first tape on the Kame House label, so there‘s only one thing to do: open your eyes and listen!

Constant Sound sublabel Instinct comes correct with some ruff n' tuff steppers from 0113, a shadowy alias that channels pure speed garage energy into a record of pure firepower. There's no messing with lead track "Inside", all nasty bass and frantic swing with more rudeboy swagger than a souped up Vauxhall Nova. "Steppa" darts around a crooked 2-step flex to die for, embellished with eerie atmospherics to darken up the dance. "Rouge Fader" brings some heavyweight 4x4 bump n' flex, and "Break" keeps the pressure up to make this a four-deep dancehall wrecker of the highest caliber.

Born and bred New Yorker Jean Pierre is stepping out with his own brand new label, Pakate. The vinyl-only outlet kicks off with a fantastic first EP from FLETCH featuring remixes from Pierre himself and Franco Cinelli.

This exciting new label will be an outlet for Jean and other friends to serve up mature and minimal sounds focused around unique designs and powerful grooves. Dealing in heady underground sounds that also work on larger dance floors, the label comes after Pierre has spent 15 years entrenched in the electronic scene. This is his way to carefully curate his own music exactly how he wants to, with three releases already lined up for 2021.

The first one is from FLETCH, a red hot UK talent who has released on the likes of Kaluki and Whippin’ Records. His opening tune 'Actin Up' is a slick and slippery minimal groove with real depth and freaky sound designs that make it pop. 'Want Me' then hits harder, with loopy house drums and squelchy synths all bubbling away beneath soulful female vocal sounds and cosmic synths.

The first fine remix is from France Cinelli who takes 'Actin Up' super deep, with punching kicks and rolling bass that gets you in a state of hypnosis., Closing out the package is a Jean Pierre remix of 'Want Me' that shows off his ability to lay down stripped back but compelling house grooves with deft sound design and a freaky atmosphere.

This is a standout first EP that perfectly sets the scene for what is sure to become a vital new label from this American mainstay.

Vol. 4 of Pandemix Live Jams is kicking of with „Tides“, a broken beat homage to the early 90s. Deep swelling chords, a subby bassline and soulful vocal snippets come together to create a unique retro-futuristic melange. is David’s unique signature sound dened by a softer and more melancholic, yet funky, psychedelic and elegant approach to music which he draws from all kinds of personal inuences and his long DJ life.

Rising talent No-e achieves a career milestone this October, making his maiden appearance on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations with the three-track A List. It continues a highlight 2021 for the Welshman, which has seen him release on Food Music, Nothing But and several other labels already this year.

The title track begins with striking synth pulses and fast-paced kick-hat pairings, whilst old-skool disco samples march on throughout. Fleek manifests as a groovy, vocal-driven number, packed full of female lyrical samples that create a true celebratory feel, before Get It ends proceedings on an upbeat, feel-good note with warm percussion and a swinging underlying bassline.

Welsh DJ / Producer No-e is quickly becoming a talked-about name in today’s electronic music realm. Cutting his teeth in his hometown of Swansea, recent releases on Food Music and All Night Long Records have caught the eye of several well-known talents, including Shadow Child, Alex Virgo and now Hot Creations head Jamie Jones.

London producer Scott Ferguson, aka Robot84, continues his superlative run through 80s speckled gear on his own label. This time he's cooked up a killer slice of proto house with an Afro vocal boost from TAMA. From the slick reverse edits to the warm thrum of the bassline, the classic drum machines patter to the spangled arps, this is feel good business rendered with reverence and love for the roots of dance music as we know it today. Stick on the A side for the vocal version, flip it over for the dub, or better still bag two copies and get creative in the mix.

Session Victim have become something of a phenomenon since their inception a little over 12 years ago. They bring a sense of fun and unrivalled energy to their live shows and DJ sets which instantly connects with any crowd in front of them and their charming disregard for musical boundaries ensures that you never know quite what to expect or where they’re heading next. When not feeding their addiction to pinball machines, the duo of Hauke Freer and Matthias Reiling are constantly creating, keeping things fresh by forming labels such as Retreat run by Hauke and Quarion, Pen & Paper run by the duo themselves and Hauke’s new baby Save The Books. Last year’s Needledrop LP for Night Time Stories saw them step away from the dance floor and head into deep, downtempo mode to great effect, and now we’re proud to welcome Session Victim back to Delusions Of Grandeur for the release of Two Crowns which sees them edging back towards clubbier sounds, albeit with their trademark live instrumentation and highly musical approach.

The EP gives us three original tracks which move smoothly from the low-slung funky wobble of the title track with it’s stabbing analogue synths and house not house live drum groove, through to the lush, expansive sounds of Village Youth. Once again, Session Victim have created a collection of tracks which give us a sense of nostalgia for early 90’s Fila Brazilia/Solid Doctor records on the influential Porky label. A world where trippy spoken word samples, cut up breakbeats, deep pads and sine wave basslines live in perfect harmony and a sense of optimism flows through every note. Let’s face it, we can all do with some of that right now!

Adeen Records breathes new life into a fan favorite with a collection of B-sides and unreleased gems in this stellar remastered series. First up, is the 2016 classic that started the Adeen Records label, DJ Spinna's "More Positive Things." this intergalatic soul deep house track was well sought out in it's initial pressing, and highly sought after. If you don't already have this classic Adeen release in your collection, this is a great way to get familliar with this trusted label.

Label Honcho Fabio Monesi return on his own platform with a two-tracker. If "Ancient Gate" is a raw-punchy-electro-house tool, "Wishing On the Stars" hark back to the classic sound of some of the greatest Fxhe Records.

Following a couple of strong releases on labels such as Russian Torrent Versions, Dog in The Night and Wilson Records, Fabio Monesi finally makes his debut on his own Hardmoon London imprint in which he released his music, since 2014, under his alias Hissman.

The genre re-defining chameleons of Hard Ton are back on Schrödinger’s Box with their own brand of style splitting acid house disco. Bigger is Better, a double EP album, has all the depravity and drama you would expect from these disruptors. “Be Somebody” is a proud call to a dirty beat; chin up, chest out and let the claps and hi-hats fly. Kerri Chandler Remix!

American house music legend Kerri Chandler has reimagined Gabriels’ debut single, Love and Hate in a Different Time. It’s the first reinterpretation of the LA band’s standout hit, and an unsurprisingly soulful take by the New Jersey deep house pioneer.

Kerri says "The moment I heard and saw the video for the Gabriels it gave me chills, Jacob’s voice and the production immediately stood out to me. I wanted to know who was behind this beautiful song. The more I spoke with Ryan, Ari and Jacob, the more we became family, it felt like I have known them for years. When they told me they wanted to go back in the studio to go and re-record vocals, just for my rework I was overjoyed that we were all working together to give this new mix its own signature sound and personality. Gabriels are incredibly talented and I’m very happy to have met such an inspirational band."

Comprising four classic Kerri mixes across one 12 Inch, the A side hits with a trademark Vocal mix from the master, as he adds a soulful house swing and uplifting Kerri-keys that enhances the gospel spirit of the original and aims it squarely at the club. Following this, Jacob’s incredible vocal performance sits centre stage with an exquisite Acapella version.

On the flip, Kerri offers up a deep, late night ‘623 Again’ mix, blending all manner of elements from his illustrious back catalogue and an eyes closed, sun soaked ‘Feel’ mix to round off the EP.

A single that captured the hearts of Australians, emulating everything that was so special about the burgeoning electro scene of the early 2010’s, was none other than Parachute Youth’s debut single ‘Can’t Get Better Than This’. Made up of Johnny Castro (Courtidis), and Mat KVon, the single went on to be a huge international success for the newcomers, whilst earning Sweat It Out one of its first ARIA Gold Record since the labels inception just a few years prior, and charting in the Top 10 across Belgium and Luxembourg.

With the first release together in 7 years, the duo have enlisted one of the hottest dance acts on the planet, John Summit, for a special edit marking a decade since the release of the original. Titled ‘Better Than This’, the edit breathes new life into the classic - Summit’s trademark drum design, with crisp claps and energetic hi-hats are all held together by an unrelenting yet full bodied bassline arpeggiation that ensures the vocal is front and centre.

Runemark Records releases one more Motown style EP “Face to face”. It is a very first collaboration between Lithuanian producer Mario Basanov and Ukrainian solo artist Ivan Dorn.
"We are dropping our collab in the Christmas month, so people can dance in the snow. It was a big privilege to be in the studio with someone so talented as Mario Basanov. The tracks emerged fast, and all the inspiration came in the studio. This is often the case with cool tracks – they come to life instantaneously out of the atmosphere on the spot." says Ivan.
EP includes two tracks “Face to Face” and “10 Years” full of funky rhythms. It is a complex of chord changes and sophisticated melodies based on ´70s disco and pop sounds.
Mario says he was willing to collaborate with Ivan for almost a decade: “ He is a world-class singer and I am thrilled by the fact that we did this great job together. Variety of music sounds and Ivan’s vocal distinctiveness perfectly fulfilled the vision”.

After eight years immersed in songwriting and production, Dani Siciliano is ready to return with her third solo LP 'DANI SICILIANO". Ahead of the LP's release on Circus Company, the lead single shines a light on one of the album's undoubted highlights and offers it up for some intriguing dancefloor variations that nod to her house music roots. 'I'm The Question' revels in the playful and unconventional approach to pop that has always guided Dani's music, and so gives a perfect teaser of what the full album has in store. Her voice soars in a multi-layered swirl of crafty production while the arrangement crackles with an energy that reflects the rousing message of the lyrics. It's an urgent intonation of positivity that should motivate anyone to get up and move, but it communicates this idea in a most delightfully unusual of ways. Rising Parisian house head Ben Vedren offers up a remix of the lead track, building on his refined releases for Minibar and Concrete Music amongst others. He brings a noticeably tough undercurrent to his version, using a driving bass-weighted drum set to carry artful slices of Dani's vocals through a club-ready confection with carefully placed brushstrokes of warmth and melody. Ben Vedren also turns his hand to the Acapella Remix, stripping the production of the original track right back and replacing it with a simple rhythmic guidance to leave ample space for the vocals to stand on their own. With nothing but a steady grooving kick and snare loop in the way, it's a track crying out for the kind of creative mixing that music as unique as Dani's is perfectly suited to.

Am Kinem (previously known as Funkycan) presents a recollection of hand-picked works produced over the last ten years.
'Mavi Soul' is the third LP from Ava. and will follow on from its successful predecessors 'Mr Pink, what have you been smokin' and 'Love Based Music'.
Under his 'Funkycan' moniker, Am Kinem released his first solo EP in 2011 through Ava., combining House, Hip Hop, Techno and Electronica in a vastly eclectic and individual style, a style that is ever present through 'Mavi Soul'. Recorded partly at the infamous Studio H1-3, part of the biggest broadcasting center of former east Germany, 'Mavi Soul' calls on some of the Ava. extended family to create remixes of Kinem's originals, further broadening the musical breadth covered already by the originals.

German Hip-hop veterans Retrogott and Hulk Hodn and techno craftsman Harmonious Thelonious all contribute with remixes of Kinem's originals. Retrogott and Hulk Hodn are both an essential part of the german Hip Hop scene and have both made huge impact by releasing strings of well known Albums and EPs on labels such as ENTBS.
Harmonious Thelonious established his unique vision of Ethno grooves on the label Diskant and distilles the Techno out of the Track 'Metroidame'.

CODY CURRIE & ELIZA ROSE COLLABORATE FOR DAN SHAKE’S LABEL.

Four timeless tracks each with their own mood, Cody’s hard hitting rhythms and rich chords are elevated by Eliza’s seductive vocal hooks. Dan Shake rounds off the package with a broken beat remix of title track ‘Flame’.

Cody Currie comes through with another EP that exhibits his deftness in working with Eliza Rose’s signature vocals. The pair immediately turned heads earlier this year with their debut collaborative single ‘Moves’, which came out on Toy Tonics, and received high praise from Rolling Stone, 6 Music, Worldwide FM, and Radio 1. Dan Shake was another head instantly hooked in by ‘Moves’, and having admired Cody and Eliza respectively as individual artists for a long time, he knew it was time to sign them on Shake.

“You instantly know a Cody release when you hear it and I just love his jazzy, laid back style” explains Dan. Introduced to Eliza’s music a while back, Dan “instantly fell in love with her voice. I knew I somehow needed to get them both involved with Shake, and I’m hyped to have a collaboration early on in what seems to be set to be a long standing collaborative journey between them”

Eliza’s jazz infused tones embody the signature sound that multi-instrumentalist and producer Cody has crafted for himself on labels like Razor n Tape, Classic Music Company, and Toy Tonics. He’s a next generation producer connecting the dots between jazz, soul, house, garage and broken beats.

DJ/Producer, vocalist and Rinse FM radio host Eliza Rose has been writing and singing since the age of 15. Paying homage is something at the forefront of Eliza’s artistry, which is apparent in her monthly Vinyl Factory Live series, and the lyrics to title track ‘Flame’ are a nod to Gwen McCrea’s ‘Keep The Fire Burning’.

Four tracks each with their own mood, ‘Flame’ is one for the clubs, you’ll hear Cody’s vocal complement Eliza’s on ‘Another Lover’ which also has a stripped back Midnight Dub version, and Dan rounds off the package with a broken beat remix. A genre you don’t hear much of from Dan, but a scene he was highly influenced by in the mid 2000’s living in North London.

Esteemed artist Jamie Jones is set to drop an EP titled Handy Work on his Hot Creations imprint this September. The release features three standout tracks that emulate Jamie’s distinct production skills and ear for the dancefloor.

Title track Handy Work sets the tone with sharp percussion, prominent vocal stabs and a wonky, driving bassline. Next up, Mind Meld With Spock has a stumbling groove, with hypnotic keys and a striking clap. Last up, Sunday In Paris is a blissful number, perfect for the sunrise hours with emotive and elevating chords.

A globally respected and highly accomplished artist, label boss at the seminal Hot Creations, founder and curator of the worldwide Paradise event series and member of cross-genre band Hot Natured, Jamie Jones has achieved iconic status in the electronic music world. A trendsetter and seasoned tastemaker, the Welsh dance music superstar pioneered his own distinct sound, drawing on his deep knowledge and experience to cultivate DJ sets that weave through a range of diverse, complementary styles selected to energise and enchant the dance floor.

Monumental House anthem alert! Another classic jammer from 1992 lifted straight from the Strictly vaults. This one's HUGE. Phuture aka acid House pioneers Spanky and DJ Pierre (with a little help from Roy Davis JR) turn in a driving, acidic monster in true Wild Pitch style. Probably the only record that begins with a sinister voice saying 'This is cocaine speaking' before diving head-long into one of the best anti-drug House records ever. Absolutely brilliant. Bubbling 303 basslines and cavernous handclaps combine with a funked out, dubbed out synth line that just doesn't stop. Phuture will survive, and they weren't lying when they said that as this record (among too many others they had a hand in) still rock today. Yep, still fresh. Tried and tested, often imitated, never bettered. Phuture are the originals. Open up your eyes (and ears). This one's a tasty 2017 reissue and remaster, featuring all 4 mixes as per the original release way back when. Essential stuff here. You simply NEED this one.

The enigmatic Benson Streaker returns to Canapé this summer with a sweltering four-track 12”: ‘Ulterior Guidance’.

Transcending the woozy microcosm of breakbeat and electronica established on his label debut CNP015 - ‘The Body / Something’s Not Right’, CNP020 sees Streaker push his sound into opulent technicolour.

Amid a wash of psychedelic hues, A1 (’Strange Operator’) beckons with an irresistibly saturated tech-house skip. Seatbelts are advised, as Benson’s heart-throb 4x4 propels us to a strange, yet loving, astral plane.

A2 illustrates a co-existence of sophistication and minimalism rarely found in post-millennial house music; an otherworldly vocal (courtesy of Ursula Rucker) is glued effortlessly with Streaker’s understated percussion, on the blissful 7-minute title track.

On the flip side, ‘Dimension’ (B1) thrusts us into a Balearic haze of raves-gone-by. Glimpses of early acid house and trance permeate this shimmering and uplifting club-pumper, before our cosmic journey concludes with the elegant and soulful ‘It’s Yours’ (B2). Tokyo-based producer Omar Santis returns for his 3rd Karakul EP following on from releases on Dionysian Mysteries and Envelope Audio.
'Thursday Night Funktion' is the 6th release on the imprint and really embodies the ethos of Karakul, soulful deep house workouts designed for the dance floor.
The EP is dedicated to his Tokyo club night 'Funktion'; a cultural party that's held every Thursday at one of the world's top ten small clubs, Oath in Shibuya.
Their events have caught the attention of Tokyo's local community and their international guests by its unique branding and "mature but wild" party atmosphere.

The EP starts on a high with the groovy sample heavy disco/house jam 'Nira'. Vocal chops and guitar licks build and culminate until a massive string section releases a second rush of energy taking the track to even higher ground.
The follow up 'Sakura Blossom' is the deepest cut of the release with washed out pads and bleeps cascading while a hypnotic bass keeps the track grooving.
Iron Curtis adds his personal touch and ups the energy on his remix of 'Cameo Appearance', adding a breakbeat, ethereal melodies and vocal snippets floating atop a plucky bass line.
Ending the release on a blissful note 'SpaceColorPalette' is a flurry of melodic synths and muffled percussion that swirl around over the top of a solid kick and bass groove.

Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy presents Balearic Breakfast Volume 1. An eleven track compilation of gloriously transcendent genre-hopping music inspired by one of the most listened to shows on Worldwide FM; most tracks impossible to find on vinyl.

How does one make a Balearic Breakfast?

You need to obviously start with one part blissful sunshine, rising over one part white sand, set to the sound of the sea looping back and forth. But what else - that perfect, idyllic backdrop aside - sums up that most important time of the day, specifically when spent right in the heart of the most glorious archipelago in the western hemisphere?

Luckily, DJ, broadcaster and producer Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy has perfected the recipe.

Colleen has been mixing together Balearic Breakfast shows on Worldwide FM for the last few years after starting in earnest during the first pandemic lockdown. Her shows offer a remedy to the pressures of the outside world; each is curated with the admirable aim of trying to “create a musical atmosphere for escape”, be it from bad weather or bad vibes.

Inspired by formative experiences at The Loft in NYC and on the terrace at Space, Colleen’s Balearic Breakfasts are endlessly eclectic and always inspiring, pulling together - in her words - a “hodge-podge of chill out, spiritual jazz, deep soul, percussive house, quirky disco, indie-dance and what may ‘traditionally’ be called ‘balearic’ (whatever that may be).” Basically, the kind of music you want to hear as the sun breaks over the horizon.

For her first Balearic Breakfast album (lovingly compiled for the ever-visionary Heavenly Recordings), Colleen has put together a set of songs that allow the listener to drift with her between myriad genres and join the unseen dots between them. The journey takes in shooting star ambient sounds, deep soulful hypno-house, ecstatic Neu-esque locked grooves, ethereal sea-shore jazz and Southern Hemisphere starlight disco, with tracks by artists such as Friendly Fires, Mildlife, Linkwood and Lady Blackbird (a track praised by Elton John, who called it “a groove that blows my mind”) and producers such as Andrew Weatherall (under his Asphodells alias), Ashley Beedle, Coyote, the late, great Phil Asher and Cosmo herself.

Flowing together, the tracks perfectly create that musical atmosphere for escape - a recipe for daydreaming yourself into a Balearic Breakfast state of mind. Tune in and leave the everyday behind. Positive Not Happy label owners The Lumens are coming back with the follow up of their label debut. Same as the first release, "Vetro Ep" has two original tracks and two guest remixes. Both "Sparse" and "Vetro" original mixes have the typical driving rhythms of the duo, combined with unceasing 303ish acid lines and deep chords, resulting in a shiny and addictive club vibe. On the remix task, we have the popular Berlin groove maestro Diego Krause, delivering a killer straight house beat rework, on the flip side Pennyroyal After Tea co-founder Ricky Leo signs a deep and classy techno interpretation. More quality and avant-garde grooves from Positive Not Happy, setting their own standard a step further.

Uruguay's finest house and techno export Z@p continues his welcome return to active service in the freakier end of the scene with this spot on Cartulis Music. "Tracid" has a clue in its title, and it doesn't take long to detect the brazen 303 baiting taking place through the core of this peppy workout. It's an effective weapon used in just the right way that should get bodies wriggling with approval. "That Break" meanwhile diverts into a kind of braindance territory with the titular drums matched with more wobbly synth leads and spooked out pads, and then "Acid Rhytms" rounds the EP off with a more reflective cut for calmer moments in the dance.
