To kick off the launch of San Francisco's Jacktone Records, we present our first release - two reverb-soaked acid tracks from San Francisco native, Jay Fields, under his Exillon moniker. The tracks meld otherworldly tones and lo-fi acidic grooves with an exquisitely dark and melodic techno mood to create an ominous 'no lights' atmosphere in the bunker or on headphones. With a decade of releases under his belt on labels such as Ad Noiseam (Berlin), Detroit Underground (USA), Zod (USA), Contortion (Berlin) & Puzzling Records (Belgium) - expect a variety of influences: acid, idm, ambient, and techno all precisely mixed up in a firmly structured four on the floor format with that signature Exillon sound

100% techno jack banger. Louis Guilliaume returns on Syncom Data Records with On The Grid: three trax for stompin' dancefloor bliss. The title track takes it to the streets and delivers pure Chicago jack. The claps, the rim, the hihats, the sirens and the infectious bassline roll on until the trademark Guilliaume synth stabs kick in to lift everything to the next level. Private Escorts: the title says it all. It's a bit trashy, but in a good way. Teutonic robotfunk. On the b-side Guilliaume takes it a level deeper. Way Out creates a techno vision of funky machines moving along in a desolate landscape, fueled by Jamaican rum punch... Louis Guilliaume delivers with On The Grid his techno message: strongly rooted on the dancefloor, but with his eyes on a far away horizon.

Think back to the late 70's/early 80's, Northern Italy, when the sound palette was a churning, hypnotic melting pot. The evolution of Cosmic had began from a combination of Afro rhythms, Italo Disco sensibilities, Jazz, science fiction and a surge of synthesisers, emanating from clubs such as Typhoon, Chicago, Bisbi, Mecca, and of course Cosmic.
Here at Nang we are proud to have one of the sound's founding fathers, Daniele Baldelli, back with us. Ably aided by DJ Rocca (aka Ajello, Crimea X and Supersonic Lovers) in his Mars Life Studio, the pair have brewed up a startlingly accomplished album of cosmic slo-mo machine funk.
We dive straight in with 'Complotto Geometrico,' a galactic dancefloor experience that spews out elastic synth lines and otherworldly rhythms in glorious fashion. Next up the title track 'Podalirius' follows suit with its equally as poignant synthesis, interspersed with a beautiful flute lines, laser pulses and rolling percussion.
'Roba Che Scotta' takes us away with a beam of arpeggios and Sci-fi themes, within a more classical disco template. 'Rate The Stars (ft. Tahamene)' starts with a thumping boom-bap, before leading into an spacey arp-driven vocal track, with Tahamene's brilliant top line adding to the melancholia.
'A TV Show (ft. Ghostape Boy)' is far more slinky, laid-back affair. Ghostape Boy's vocals supply a youthful sheen to the percussive disco instumental, leaving a supersweet aftertaste. 'Real Like The Music (ft. Mark Borgazzi)' lines up next. Bongo's and a repeated synth phrase intertwine with Borgazzi's soulful tenor, guitar chops and cosmic detritus to create another on-point vocal track.
'Teorema' brings the tempo up a notch for a lesson in spaced-out dancefloor mechanics. The bass is solid and string, supporting the surrounding synth melodies and laser beams to carry it in any peak time scenario. 'Haughty Rhino' is equally as strong, but the vibe goes a little deeper, it's a little more visceral. The epic synth lines stand their ground for the introverted headphone listeners just as much as the extroverted twilight adventurers.
As we draw to a close, 'Flugdisco' helps things down a little easier with its melodious contemplative moods, the washes of star-lit pads and progressive arrangement. To finish things off in fine style, the 2010 Nang single 'Space Scribal' makes an appearance for old times sake. For those that were there, this is classic Baldelli and Rocca, for all you new fans, revel in the sonic supernova!

Slowly building, soul-soothing, and disco-fuelled house with a nod to both the great masters from Chicago and the new electronic breed.
Lisbon producer and Lux resident Ramboiage likes to take it slow to take things further. 'Del Fuego' kicks off modestly with a simple beat and some light percussion, creating and eerie mood. But then some tasty, disco-fuelled heavy house kicks in, and the tune starts to roll unstoppable, riding on a horn hook. Funky like a train, as the mighty Equals would say. Spanish Om Records darling Al Velilla steps up the pace a little bit and lets the original float over some tasty discohouse beats and eighties-flavoured synths.

Maestro is a term of extreme respect given to a master musician. Typically associated with classical music, it's not something you'd immediately associate with more modern forms of music, house and disco included. But then, why not In terms of culture you could argue that these close cousins are just as influential on modern day society as their more archaic classical grandparent. Of course, you'd have to use it appropriately.

Redux return from a winter hibernation and summer of partying with some more essential wax.
Grand Corporation is the latest alias of Andy Meecham (Emperor Machine/Chicken Lips) and Stevie Kotey (Bearfunk/Chicken Lips), features the incredible vocals of Deborah Bell, and really cements the reputations of two of scenes finest producers.
The Grand Corporation sound is inspired by the very best dance music from Detroit/Chicago/New York, resulting in some raw, sleazy and soulful early house vibes. There may be bit of a trend for reproducing classic house sounds at the moment, but these guys are seriously qualified to do it and unlike a lot of their peers capture the essence of what made this music so exciting in the first place.
Free comes in vocal and instrumental versions, and with a superb bonus acid dub in the 'Do It Proper remix'.

The sounds are created by Cygnus, aka Phillip Washington, an electronic musician from Dallas, Texas. Working with synthesisers and drum machines, Phillip engineers sensations that are felt deep within the mind. His influences are respected and embraced, but they never hold him back: from Sun Ra to Autechre, Mortal + Chemist, Giorgio Tsoukalos, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and to the smile within the sneer of Grace Jones.

Slag is a live Techno band consisting of equal parts musicians and DJ's. The four experienced men draw on their experience from record shops dance floors and film-/ theater-music and have the common passion for Techno in their neural pathways. With the passion for electronic music and classic synthesizers, they created a sound black as oil and white as freshly fallen snow. The band varies their performance with a large portion jam elements and makes their live shows tension-filled in both club and concert performances. A concert by Fire Slag starts in the deepest dub and ends in a furious techno ballad.

We welcome William Kouam Djoko to the Voyage Direct family with his first release for the label.
With this new release by the The Hague native, the label continues to release Dutch only artists. William delivers some late night house goodies here. The title track is a pulsating and hypnotic track that leads with a repetitive 'We Are Your Brothers & Sisters' vocal before diving into an epic organ and drum break.
'Enforce YS' is a deeper, warmer synth track that really gets under your skin after a few listens. This is the kind of stuff that fills the heart of a hi-tech soul fan. Should appeal to early Carl Craig fans et al.
Strong label debut, which shows that Amsterdam is increasingly becoming a pool of new underground house producers.

The remixes of Nick Curly's album "Between the lines" taking the step to the next level with the second part of the series. No other than the New Yorker house legend Dennis Ferrer showed his skills on Nick Curly's "Underground" track. Great fancy vibe with his special NY touch. On AA Nico and Christian from Kollektiv Turmstrasse worked on "Between" and spent a beautiful emotional remix, one more masterpiece of the guys from north germany. Dark massive bass and crazy ghostly echo developing strings describes the great remix of "Inside my head" by Glimpse. On BB we got some Mannheim support, from the great newcomer "Bunte Bummler" and Nick Curly's brother "Steffen Deux". Straight groovy bassline monster with the special touch of the new blood of Mannheim...hope you enjoy

It is a cold dark winter - Snow is lying everywhere.Simon12345 and The Lazer twins are heading up north into a little wooden house in the northern parts of denmark. They will live there for the next weeks and build up a temporary studio in this secluded cottage. Simon has got a handful of sketches with him. Musical states of mind and conceptual games he developed over the last years.Basically the idea is to develop something truly unique and powerful - Although none of them knows how that will sound exactly or what will happen in particular during this time. It is not even clear who plays which instrument, who will do what...nothing is set. The only thing clear is that they have things to say, things that have been burning in them for so long now.Tell me.How can (mostly) instrumental music suggest a way of life How can you criticize without pointing at something particular How can music transport you into place of quietness and self reflection
Let the contemplation begin
note:
Simon12345 & The Lazer twins is a band, they play instruments, everything on this record is played. They also play concerts. The record was recorded in a few weeks in northern denmark, but the postproduction and arrangements took over one and a half year after the intial recording process.
