House Vinyl New Releases - News

on 7" blue vinyl !!

Finally! After already two digital releases on BigM Productions,
Stereo Beatz now presents his first vinyl 12" EP, packed full
with four Stereo Beatz bombs. From Ghetto Funk over Breaker
Breats and Breakbeat to Oldskool Breaks, the records contains
a great variety of huge slammers for the floor. A peak time
choice and must have.

Submerse is 23 year old Rob Orme who splits his time between North West England and Tokyo. He's already had a Guardian 'new band of the day' feature, which claimed him to be 'Making some of the most heartbreakingly beautiful (dance) music anywhere on the planet.' This came after just a handful of EP's and a free download album that blend his love of J-pop and 2 step.
His debut EP for Apollo showcases how his productions have moved on in complexity and accomplishment moving between the digital hip hop of '8Bit Romance' and the glitchy electronica of 'Cluster' to the recognizable garage mutations of 'Give It Up' and 'They Always Come Back'.

The legendary 'Freakazoids' return to the 808 to bring back their own slice of Electro Funk. 'The Freakazoids' is the Brainchild of Lee Coombs, Nick Slater and Lanx (later two both of Shades of Rhythm fame) who came together through their love of Old Skool Electro Funk and Hip Hop and released a string of underground records in the late Nineties. After a ten year break and working on other projects the boys have decided to collaborate again and bring back the Funk.

'Freakazoid Experiments' is a brand new track that delivers the Old Skool Electro Boogie with a modern twist.
'What is a DJ 2012' is a new remake if one of their biggest tracks also aimed squarely at the dancefloor.
Oh yeah, don't forget your Kangol Bucket...

As Ajello say: "The idea for a cover version of N.O.I.A.'s "Looking For Love" was born a couple of years ago - an idea of Alessandro Piatto, younger brother of Davide Piatto, original member of N.O.I.A. As soon as Alessandro proposed it, we asked whether we could have the original tracks but, unfortunately, they have been lost over the years. Immediately his brother Davide brought together the original lineup of N.O.I.A. and locked them up in the studio to record the voice from scratch and some of the synth parts. Our intervention was first on the drums, replacing the original for a more uptempo beat, and then the bassline, shaping it to a more modern sound. The vocals were treated with filters and echoes, and we also added some new guitar parts and synth lines. It was an honour to us, Ajello, to bring to light an Italo-disco classic that has really influenced us and we have put all our efforts to create a version that is timeless, as much as the original. "

Between Berlin and Vienna, Giallo Disco Records is a new label dedicated to the sub-sub-genre of Horror Disco. Gianni Vercetti's macabre soundtracks are presented with lashings of VHS grain. 'L'Incubo Senza Fine' is dripping with tension, a relentless kick drum thud like the march of the undead themselves. Legowelt's remix only adds to this, calling on the sound of his most recent collection 'The Teac Life'. Antoni Maiovvi's Rituals Of Lust is a 98bpm dark EBM/New Beat-esque stomper. Retro-space age futurism, battleships preparing for war near the moons of Jupiter. Themroc(k)'s would perhaps be the perfect music for a malfunctioning T-800, demented vocals a-go-go. Dark brooding action soundtracks for a bleak tomorrow. Presented on 12inch. Limited to 200 copies.

After his first ìStompî in 2012 itís time for the true first single "Astral Projection" out of his
upcoming debut album "Micro Mega" (out in June)! For the new single Strip Steve is teaming
up with the lucid and wild eyed dream-pop band Puro Instinct, young protÈgÈes of living
legend Ariel Pink, straight outta sunny Southern California. Unlike his more dancefloor tunes
'Stomp/Mother Circuit' (BNR078), Strip Steve is taking us here on a trip painting lingering
psychedelic-noir disco pop

It's been a long time coming and it's great to finally announce the release of Eric Lanham's "The Sincere Interruption", his first long-playing record under his own name after performing for years under various solo guises such Carl Calm and Palmetto Moon Electronic Group and as one half of the Caboladies equation. Commissioned back in the summer of 2011, it was finally recorded in March 2012 and it's been well worth the wait.
Lanham has crafted a very special set of improvised electronic compositions which rise above many of the contemporaries of his ilk. With an eye on both the origins of electronic music as well as the not so distant past, "The Sincere Interruption" was recorded in superb fidelity with great attention to sound placement and frequency variations. Elements of late 90's-early 00's Mille Plateaux/Warp styled disjointed rhythms are bent into surgically precise and meticulously pieced concrete/electronic form, crammed with information overload situations and infinite variables to one's listening perception. It's a challenge to hear the album the same way twice with the sheer amount of action and peculiarity happening over the duration.

While there are indeed busy moments throughout, tracks like "21:00" and "No Ordinates" display an attention to control and deep focus, relying on an idea which develops and evolves seamlessly in subtle variation while retaining a repetitive nature. An outstanding effort and a great addition to the ever evolving Spectrum Spools catalog.

For this 22nd release on Lomechanik we present the EP 'When Her Language Goes On Holiday' by Urkelle, which will be available on vinyl and digitally. Intelligent, deep bass music that fits just as well on the dancefloor as on your
headphone. Urkelle is one of the aliases of Steve Mensink, a Dutch producer which is based in the city of Utrecht. This EP resonates with an intruiging tension between repetition and progression. The release will appeal to the
fans of the subtle progressions of Theo Parrish, as well as those of the broken bass music by Objekt or the hypnotic atmospheres of classic Autechre releases.

With summer around the corner, hundreds of thousands of music lovers have begun preparing themselves for the start of the festival season. The continuously increasing presence of dance music in the charts means that this year, DJs are filling more headline slots than ever and appealing to a more commercial, mainstream audience, festivals such as Creamfields, Global Gathering, SW4, Coachella, Ultra Music Fesitval and Tomorrowland are still going strong and are increasingly being seen as essential summer festivals.

The summer sound forecast: a "breeze" of adness!
This track is a love letter to a synth. Rarely a sound has been so exhausted,
modulated, modified and was still in a nutshell. "The Breeze" definitely has the
potential to become the "Electronic Summer Anthem 2012".
Who's behind this wicked sound-creation is a well kept secret. Only one thing is quite
certain: the limited vinyl edition. Buy buy!

Fresh from his epic long player collaboration with Benjamin Damage, Doc Daneeka rolls in with two tough and red-blooded rhythms for Roska Kicks & Snares. This is the Doc back to his rugged and insistent best, with the emphasis on heavy bass and tribal percussion intertwining together in raw harmony. Peppered with soundbwoy samples, both cuts appeal to those wanting something a little tougher in their musical diet and is a welcome forward-sounding move by the versatile and talented producer. On remix duty the non-stop production trio and huge UK Funky talents Funkystepz give a more suppressed yet enchanting re-imagination to Daneeka's mighty approach. A bed of resting synths bubble under and allow the bass to become the focal point with a masterful rearrangement proving Funkystepz' firm status as top dogs. Yet again this maintains the Kicks & Snares manifesto of making even the hardest nut move on the floor.

After the huge success of Kosmetik005 (Remember Preacherman) the Kosmetik-Guys return with a new Projekt: PunkFunkPunch!
The Last Laidback Time is a peak time, funk packed Electro-Monster with all the right moves!
Including a great Kolombo Remix (Turbo Records) that keep you away from holding your feet still, a record that simply makes fun!

Brilliant collaboration between Pasteman & Tanka on 887 Records. On the A-side we have the electro / Techno inspired Camaro. On the flip side a more housey Torino.

The producer and drummer of the popular Danish group WhoMadeWho, with a history of solo and collaborative releases for Get
Physical, Turbo, Gomma, and Kompakt, Barfod's latest full-length balances contrasts. At times bright with delicate pop melodies, 'Salton
Sea' boldly submerges into dark, morose rhythms, juxtaposing the graceful and desolate characteristics of the Californian lakebed the
album shares its name with.

Ushering in a new era for Tiga's Turbo Recordings, New Jack Techno showcases the label's next generation of producers, signalling a bold new direction for the influential Canadian imprint. This 12" sampler includes three highlights from the compilation, offering a preview of what looks like a massive year for the veteran label.

Though well respected and accomplished producers in their own right, together Brian 'Orgue Electronique' Schijf and Danny 'Legowelt' Wolfers really make the girls go wild. Their Chicago Shags project is one that has released on Creme Organization, Bunker and Strange Life Records, forever mining increasingly exciting house depths since 2005. Now they return with The Family Album on the ever-excellent MOS Recordings.

In Italy's deepest south, where summer sun is harsh and burns you at midday, sweat is real. You can smell, taste and feel it. It's cold sweat. From constant fear, that haunts people in the dusty streets like shadows. Some say, it's only paranoia. But you can't deny the kidnappings, the stick-ups and the killings. Police is doomed to watch, hands cuffed, since the power lays in the hands of others. Who are they They are invisible. You can only see the bloodshed and the tears. And like everywhere else in the world: violence is always calling for more violence.

Little is known about the Norwegian bunny & bear duo known simply as "The Glue". Their last appearance with us came courtesy of Kolour LTD and we knew right then that these boys were in-store for their own EP with us and we're pleased to announce that it's finally come to fruition.

Remix duties see the return of the incomparable Dead Rose Music Company to the Kolour fray. He takes the title track and rubs it into a chunky piece of dancefloor business that has without a doubt turned into one of our favorite remixes to date.

We here at the Kolour Recordings family of labels cannot express just how much we appreciate your continued support. For all the gig spins, various chart support, podcast plays, and reviews .. from the bottom of our hearts .. we thank you very much.
