This second release on Heads High brings an EP from label owner Mike Misiu under the moniker Day Out Of Time. Four diverse tracks forged from a year of studio jams, road tested on airwaves and discerning dancefloors and now honed and available for your delectation.

Opening 4/4 cut 'Rising Tide' builds the atmosphere and tension with synth stabs, morphing arps and a throbbing sub-bass. 'The Urge' struts in on a hybrid electro-funk tip, twisting, chopping and vocoder-ing an 80's rock vocal and sax into a dance-floor detonator.

On the flip side 'Private Ay' chugs along on a mid-tempo Moog bass groove that re-imagines and re-works some infamous guitar licks, before the E.P. climaxes with 'When Love Beckons' - a pulsing electro-discoid ode to love, powered by moody analog bass, acid lines and an impassioned poetic vocal.

The heroes of the Stackenscheider’s third release our fellow countrymen from different parts of the world — Anton Kubikov, Kirill Matveev and Raf. Each of whom gave us a unique cast of the very exclusive club atmosphere created also by them.

"1959" is a concept album dedicated to my father. The main theme is based on my particular perception of travel and movement, which are both narrated with similar and different electronic sounds at the same time. The double vinyl edition is divided into 4 sides entitled "Moon", "Flight", "Space" and "Land". The vocals of some tracks, such as "The Aircraft", were made with fragments of vocal announcements recorded in the airports during my tours. The plane, already featured on the cover of the single "Lux", is interpreted as a mysterious vehicle that travels in space-time. The album cover instead portrays my father's motorcycle, as if it were suspended in the sky during the transition from night to day, which in this case symbolizes the transition from the noise of earthly life to the stillness of eternity. In this new work of mine I found my Synth-pop, Electro and Ambient influences, combined with rhythms that lend themselves well both to listening and to the dance floor. Enjoy it!

I can't actually remember why we decided to do this project other than ask ourself, why had it not been done years ago? let's do it! Linkwood and Other Lands are well known from their various outings on Firecracker, Night Theatre, The Nuclear Family, Rush Hour, Dekmantel, AOTN and many other labels, both talented musicians and fierce producers. The plan was simple, drop them into the mostly finished Athens of the North studio and cross the streams….

The results are nothing short of spectacular but putting them into words or genres on paper is somewhat of a challenge. Folding modular textures, post-punk, Electro, House and Techno even ending in some lush Balearic business, they have moulded their years of experience and translated it into something new.

What strikes me when listening to the LP is both their voices have come through in this production. Other Lands guitar work and Vocal and Linkwood deep sense of Rhythm and structure. The recording of this LP was just pre-covid which seems strange as it fits now so well. Like a dream of what it would be like to be out In the city night in all its different factions.

feat John Shima remix

Mihail P brings us a 4 tracker, including a special John Shima remix. We start with the title track "Relinquish", a nice journey through deep space at a modest tempo. It features electro breaks rhythm patterns and harmonics to send you in to orbit. Following is "Shifting", a more acid tech vibe and straight 4/4 chugger, in line with proper Detroit / UK lushness from the 90's and forward. Flip to the B side for "Reliquish John Shima remix". It's hard to say which track is the peak, but this one's a contender. John Shima is known for his signature bleepy, but danceable sound. He adds layers of synth programming intelligence and great basslines as usual. Finally the B2 "Close to Zero" is the closing tune. Similar to the opener, we find more electro breaks, synth basses and a cool pad to complete the perfect journey.

Their classical song structures and arrangements with a modern twist capture and transport immediately to the golden era of the Belgian macro clubs of the late 80’s. Coming from Uruguay, he delivers 4 tracks in this aplty named Halloween EP with infectious grooves, heavy bassline and naughty synths. The whole EP have a dark and sweaty vibe and will spare no enemies.

The great return of Stylóo Ryan Facchinetti , exactly 30 years after their last single.

Armonics made quite an impression with the stellar “Universal Oneness” on Diamonds in the Night Vol.1. Now the Italian synth magician returns to the Bordello with Prison Planet, an EP sizzling with the same sensational sounds that graced his first appearance. Dark nights and rising cities are conjured in the soundtrack grandeur of “Mind Guardians” before the solar synthwork of “Prison Planet.” Elements of the otherworldly course through the four tracker, fantastical images and the splendour of space being captured for the floor. The B-side maintains the magic with the crusading crescendos and swashbuckling lines of “The Awakening.” BPMs rise for the finale. Chords dance and twirl with spritely charm in “Spiritual Gate”, neon flecked percussion racing to the finish line.

Milagros del Ritmo is the third release of Harmonie Exotic, a label focused on reissues and compilations of obscure tracks.

The producer Jose Manuel, already known for his releases on Optimo Records, Music for Dreams and other labels, has selected ten rare tracks from 1988 to 1991. Starting as a DJ, Jose Manuel has developed over the years a passion for vinyl collection. This passion has also turned into work by creating the above mentioned label with the aim of bringing back the art of the past.

Milagros del Ritmo starts with the sexy voice of Debbie McKayle in "Necesito tu Amor". Her vocal mood reminds us "Sueño Latino " . The compilation continues with "Abadan" by Mondo Bagdad, who combined Arabic sounds with New Beat. Also in "Zena" (Dub) there are middle east and the first Chicago house influences. The next track "Mescla Del House", released in very late 80's, sees the Spanish vocal with the drum Roland TR-808. Then the compilation moves from Synth-pop with "Radio Arabesque" to the belearic downtempo with "Waves" by Ambionix and to EBM sounds with "Yoshua" by Danton's Voice .

In short, a brilliant selection of ten obscure, but at the same time floor killer tracks. Highly recommended!

Drei Jahre nach „You Win. Who Cares?“ liefern Solar Fake den Nachfolger „Enjoy Dystopia“ ab – ein Album, das den Weg des von Fans geliebten Vorgängers konsequent mehrere Schritte weiter geht.

Das sieht auch Sänger Sven Friedrich so: „Es gibt einige Songs, die näher an „You Win. Who Cares?“ dran sind, andere sind etwas weiter weg. Mit jedem neuen Album schaue ich ein wenig über den Tellerrand und probiere, neue Elemente in die Musik einzubringen, ohne dabei den Solar Fake-Sound zu "verraten." Eine Neuerung liegt dem sympathischen Sänger besonders am Herzen: „Es gibt zum ersten mal einen deutschsprachigen Song auf dem Album. Das hatten wir bei Solar Fake noch nie. Ich hatte die Refrain- Zeilen direkt im Kopf, als ich den Song geschrieben habe. Und irgendwie wollte ich das nicht ins Englische übersetzen, das wäre ein Kompromiss gewesen und bei Solar Fake mache ich keine Kompromisse. Nie.“ Starke Worte, aber tatsächlich fügt sich „Es geht dich nichts an“ perfekt auf dem Album ein und zeigt eine bisher unbekannte Facette im Solar Fake Sound. Inhaltlich ist dagegen alles beim Alten, und Solar Fake Fans dürfen sich über in Melodien und Beats gegossene Wut freuen: „Das Album wird von Aggression dominiert, die mal offensichtlicher und mal subtiler ausfällt. Natürlich gibt es auch stillere und traurige Momente. Aber im Groben wird sich derjenige verstanden fühlen, der gerade in der heutigen Zeit nicht weiß, wohin mit seinen Gefühlen, seiner Aggression, seiner Verzweiflung am Menschen, seiner Hilflosigkeit der allgemeinen Dummheit gegenüber.

Back in 2015, Mancunian DJ and Producer Hidden Spheres aka Tom Harris joined the Rhythm Section family for our twelfth release. Storming into 2022 and approaching 50 releases Tom has a long overdue return to the label with a synthesis of electronic house vibrations.

‘You Are Not Your Body’ is a stellar collection of five tracks, which touch on the sensations of euphoria and the blissed-out intersection between early prog and Detroit House. Channeling energies for
meditation and self love, things kick off with ‘Improvisation’ an electro infused eight minute workout, whilst ‘Euan 92’ is a festival-defining ‘hands-in-the-air’ anthem tried and tested by Bradley Zero on the road throughout 2021.

Love Your Body is a delightful disco-esque chugger reinforcing joyful energies and an infectious bass line to keep you wiggling on the dance floor. Things come to a close with a spaced out balearic house

Dimensions Recordings present an all-new dancefloor-ready remix package of tracks from Charles Webster's 'Decision Time' LP.

The release of Charles Webster's highly-acclaimed 'Decision Time' in late 2020 marked his first album project in almost 20 years.

An undeniable master of his craft, Webster delivered a body of work that was well worthy of the wait and saw support from the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs, Gilles Peterson, Joe Muggs and Tom Ravenscroft. With collaborators ranging from Shara Nelson (formerly of Massive Attack), to Ingrid Chavez (Prince muse & Madonna songwriter) and of course the infamous Burial, the British DJ/producer demonstrated that his ability to draw the right partners to exactly the right projects and execute them perfectly, has only improved with time.

In this vinyl remix package, Webster once more demonstrates his draw, drafting in an impressive cast of remixers to deliver a varied set of fresh takes on his original works.

Tokyo duo Dazzle Drums, South Africa's Jazzuelle, UK stalwart Mark E and the global trotting DJ Luciano present their unique takes on three cuts from Webster's incredible full length release.
