Remember Rainbow Bridge', the new album by Croatian Amor, is a homage to youth and the delicate metamorphosis that occurs as childhood trips into maturity. Focused on this tender flux, the songs on 'Remember Rainbow Bridge' are infused with the restless energy of adolescence and a dawning sense of mortality. From the sun-kissed title track, to the night burn and wet pavement of 'Paper Birds', monumental highs are shuffled with great lows that we perhaps feel most clearly and earnestly in those formative years. Since the earliest collages committed to tape under the name of Croatian Amor, Loke Rahbek's alias has at every step gravitated towards constant discovery and experimentation. The sound collages are still present while the unity of each song's construction now often conceals the juxtapositions and overlapping edges. Employing a medley of diffuse electronic music traditions, fantastical synthetic worlds are evoked and while 'Remember Rainbow Bridge' heavily relies on rhythmic structures to propel the compositions, Croatian Amor continues to tend a highly textured field in his own inimitable way. 'Remember Rainbow Bridge' is a celebration of the liminal space between phases of life, the chrysalis of youth. It is a record about coming to terms with our ever-changing place in the world, its title urging us to see the world with a child's eye, to never forget the miraculous at play only an arm's-length away. "This world as we see it is passing away"

Emerging from the shadows, Hesperius Draco returns to Frigio with a solo release for the first time since his 2016 album Actus Tragicus.
Directive V conjures up the magic of giallo horror, silver screen slashers and smoky synthlines, while exploring something altogether new. Tempered percussion and low bass-lines introduce the 12” with “Lexploitation”. Cinematic influences percolate in the steady percussion and lonesome elation of “Memories of Sex Desire.” The mood changes on the flip with “Leaders In Space.” Guitar strings and breathy samples blend to create a leering late lounge track spiked with acid notes and vocoder bitterness. The finale brings something totally different. The gurgling acid line is amplified as Hesperius Draco unveils “Cyber Bondage.” Floor centric and machine steeped, stabbing synth-lines, rusted rhythms and an inchoate energy course through this finale to display yet another side of Alessandro Parisi’s sound.
Cologne's DJOKO has been exploring breakbeats and electro formations under the Kolter banner over the past couple of years, dropping some serious heat on Talman, Pilot and Body Movement. It's Pilot he returns to for this bang tidy two tracker of taut and crisp breaks which wouldn't sound out of place in a Plump DJs set circa 2005. 'Ying Yang' slips some vocodered spirituality in amongst a punchy beat and warm splashes of analogue synth work. The slightly saucier 'Drop De Tiddies' rides a break and works an old-skool hip hop sample before ripping into some chirpy lead lines, making for a fun and fruity dancefloor delight.

New artists on Toy Tonics! gome are an organic disco duo from Hamburg. Two guys that make good mood disco inspired by the 1980 Italo and Munich Disco vibe and share an addiction to gourmet food. Positive vibes, rolling grooves, catchy melodic bits and vocals and a lot of musicality.
The guys come from Hamburg where they keep strong connections to the other Hamburg disco artists (Erobique, Session Victim..) as well as to Germany’s leading skate crews Cleptomanicx and Lobby.
For one track of the EP they invited one of Germanys most interesting underground rap artists to do a german hip house tune: Tightill. Funkiest guy from Germany on a mic.
gome add a raw energy to the currently growing house vibe. A live energy that real house music enthusiasts might have missed far too long. With an all-hardware / no-computer setup, their sound would best be described as honest and rough Live-House and Disco-Funk. Infused with elements of soul, boogie and synth-wave. Deliberately moving away from clean computerized music, the two musicians regularly pull out their instruments and play live in front of a club audience. Soon hopefully on Toy Tonics Jams worldwide.

The third compilation EP to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the establishment is Coastal Haze under the umbrella of Church,
An up-and-coming duo from New Zealand, Manuel Darquart, released on Wolf Music and others. The long-awaited first vinyl version of the popular song released digitally only in 2016.
The dense sound world with a wide range, including the impressive synth bass that penetrates the song, is unique to vinyl release. Including mastering by
Mr. KUNIYUKI, this work that realized a thick groove that is different from the time of digital sound source, there is no doubt that it will shake the entire space.
The up-and-coming French beatdown house S3A, whose long-awaited first album from Dirt Crew was well received. It's no wonder that he grew up listening to Detroit house,
and his unique sense of exquisite combination of sleezy beats, muffled texture and breathing such as disco funk is an excellent work.
The space is gradually filled with layers of euphoria that folds down, and the feeling of exhilaration and sophistication is irresistible!
The Japanese twin duo SATOSHI & MAKOTO, whose two albums released from YOUNG MARCO's label attracted a lot of attention, remixed the songs of SATOSHI FEAT and KUNIYUKI.
It is a remix of the work that was recorded in the label's 20th anniversary edition "20 YEARS SOUND OF SPEED RECORDS VOL.2" and was well received, but it seems that they were strongly influenced by early techno, and there is a melancholic synth work that drifts. The finish that is drawn into. It's a wonderful remix with respect for the original and a fusion of your own colors.
KUNIYUKI is in charge of mastering
Kavinsky is a zombie who came back from the dead after his Testarossa crashed in 1986.
His first song, "Testarossa Autodrive", was an instant success, and was followed by two singles. In 2007, he was chosen by Daft Punk to open their now legendary "Alive" tour.
In 2011, his track "Nightcall", produced with Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, became the theme song for the film "Drive", and consequently a worldwide success.
Kavinsky's first album, "Outrun", was released in 2013, followed by a collaboration with The Weeknd on the song "Odd Look".
In 2022, Kavinsky is back with "Reborn", his second album recorded at the famous Motorbass studio in Paris, due March 25th. While recording it, Kavinsky had this special project to record a sequel to his hit song "Nightcall", which after all sounded almost like a movie scene. This sequel would be called "Zenith".
Much in demand album from 1986.
Not much is known about the mysterious pop sensation Vumani or his short musical career. Originally from KwaZulu Natal he made his way to Johannesburg in the mid 80’s to follow his dream of becoming a recording artist. He was able to make that dream come true when talent scouts from Decibel Music came across the charismatic youngster. At the time Decibel was still a small fish trying to make waves and the label believed in Vumani they had found the star they were looking for. Being a label with mostly groups signed to the catalog they needed a Front Man to push into the growing demand for Solo Artists that were dominating the airwaves and catching the hearts of youngsters.
Up to this point Decibel had one major hit record. In 1986 they released a single by an artist named David Thanzwane. The music was a direct rip off of the first hit Single by Shangaan Disco pioneer Paul Ndlovu. Copying the music of both sides of the original single the “covers” offered different lyrics and hooks also sung in xiTsonga. This was enough to trick the masses and the single led to record sales for the small label. The unintentional outcome of the single was that from then on the producers and label had one sound they wanted to pump out in hopes of recreating that magic. This desire to create another Shangaan Disco hit would be the backbone of the Vumani sound and what makes his music so special and collectable after all these years.
That same year Vumani would release two Singles, Black Mampatile and Guy Fawkes. Musically these playful and fun singles would have great appeal to youngsters as they sung of daily life in the Townships. Black Mampatile being a game of Hide and Seek, Banana Kari referring to the trucks that would go around the Township exchanging chips and snacks for glass bottles and of course every child’s favourite reason the dress up on November 5th, Guy Fawkes Day. Both singles were received well and a few more tracks were later recorded to create the full album Isiqedakoma. Although he would sing in Zulu the music was unmistakable for Shangaan Disco. The synth heavy bass lines and happy melodies along with relatable fun lyrics were a perfect blend for an album that would make people dance if they were out at a Tavern or Shabeen on a weekend or just enjoying at home with family and friends.
Vumani quickly became the Label’s top priority with managers making sure he always had the freshest clothing styles to go along with his persona, and he never missed any performances or opportunities to impress a crowd. His popularity grew in the Township’s but with that came the unfortunate and all too common problems with fame. He started getting mixed with wrong crowds. He would record another album for Miracle Music, the Decibel sub label that had emerged to focus on the more underground sounds of the post synth pop era. Musically things were going well for Vumani but it would be his life off the stage that would catch up with him. Always known for his commitment to his music and fans one day he uncharacteristically failed to show up and was never heard from again. His body would later be found in a burnt car on the outskirts of Soweto. What led to his tragic death was never known but with the company he kept it is not hard to imagine what one of the many situations that led to that horrific ending could be. His funeral was attended by the entire Township it seemed as people packed the service and flowed out onto the streets, a testament to his popularity and the love the people had for one of their own.

The Swedish duo's mini-album touches upon a variety of moods, tones, beats and grooves that eschew genre and definition - seamlessly blending acid disco, thumping techno, rock, dub, acoustic
instrumentation and more."The album is deeply rooted in a feeling of
liminality," say Mount Liberation Unlimited duo Tom and Niklas
"It's music stuck in the liminal space between beach parties and worldwide isolation. A feeling of having your physical body in one place, with your mind still left on dancefloors on the other side of the now inaccessible world."A sense of duality has always been key to the Swedes' work. Since their first release in 2014,
with work released on labels such as Tim Sweeney's Beats in Space, and fellow Stockholmers Studio Barnhus, they have married a very physical rhythmic presence with their distinct take on electronic music that has also touched upon soul, jazz and disco. This exploration of organic dance music is, the pair say, "that
sweet-spot interaction of human rhythm and electronic pulse."
Welcome to the Jungle is no different in its quest to marry a deeply rhythmic essence with hypnotic and pulsating electronics, although it explores more beatheavy terrain this time around. The opening "Heavy Metal Emoji" sets the tone for an album that is rich in texture, where acoustic instruments brush up against
propulsive beats, atmospheric ambience and grooves that swing from dancefloor ready to immersive headphone escapes. "It's dancefloor music for a world without dancefloors," say the pair of its creation at the peak of lockdown.
Made in just a few weeks, it's the pair's quickest album to date. Recorded during a period when they had nothing else to do, the duo threw themselves into the studio and disappeared inside a record that they describe as like "a lingering psychedelic
dream of waking up alone in a mossy Swedish forest wondering where the warm breeze went." Which is a theme further explored in the album's artwork created by Swedish woodwork designer and artist Fredrik Paulsen.
It's an album that was made purely and truly in the moment, one guided by intuition without overthinking. "You shouldn't always know where you're going, but rather let the process be the goal. Embrace naivety.."

Especial presents a 2 EP live concept collaboration with Berlin's Giraffi Dog. With live tours cancelled due the on-going changing world, the idea of bringing their live set to vinyl - an opera for your innerspace, while constrained from outerspace - was born.
Setting up Doom Chakra Tapes with DJ Deflektorschild in 2016, Max Webber's project first released the L'Existence Du Reve cassette album as a blueprint for the Giraffi Dog sound, with some tracks appearing on the acclaimed vinyl debut for Aiwo Recs, before a split 7" for the WARNING label series followed.
Teaming up with friend Max Heesen (Dessous, Poker Flat) to take the project live, their backgrounds in punk and hip-hop shine in their take on breakbeat driven club culture.
Recording live in the studio, as a different state of meditation, MCPs trigger drum machines, the duality of live synth and vocoder, while tape machines, reverb and FX looped, twisted and filtered for an inter-mind festival
Cut as a continuous mix, tracks like Concorida, Jam X and Multiverse, are a manifestation of their sets dropped from small basements in Berlin to fields in the outskirts of Paris, this first EP acts as a hypothesis for the parallel, the other, the alternate, the infinite.
Beattie Cobell are a live electronic duo from south east London. They've explored sound together for over nine years and are developing into a symbiotic unit of rhythm and noise generation. Using digital and analogue hardware, they improvise tracks that grow from abstract oddities into full-on psychedelic euphoria.
'Treatment Works' developed as a psycho-geographical journey through a landscape of shared experiences and memories. The eight tracks manifested themselves from lengthy periods of improvisation and conversation. They document an attempt at liberating self expression between the creators. Controlling electronics in an exploratory way, achieving a cognitive union when the sounds transcend expectations.

To coincide with the recent Netflix release, Burning Witches Records are honoured to announce the original motion picture soundtrack to The Old Ways by Ben Lovett.
In line with previous scores to The Ritual and The Wind, Ben Lovett has created the soundtrack to your next set of demonic nightmares.
When Cristina Lopez (Brigitte KaliCanales), a Mexican American reporter, goes to her ancestral homeland of Veracruz for a story on witchcraft and faith healers, it’s not long before she finds herself abducted by locals. They claim that she is possessed by a demon and they must exorcise her before they can set her free. Ben Lovett’s score takes you deep into Bruja (witch) territory of Mexican folkore. Live percussion and traditional clay flutes will keep you on your toes before warm piano and cellos draw you in for the final blow of the terrifying death whistle.

Created at varying hot desk locations in the multimedia tech hubs of Old Street and Hackney, Dangerwank has submitted his debut album; 'Your Card Has Been Declined’ to Salmon Universe anonymously.
The vape influencer has cultivated a brand synergy from a love of broken VSTs from the golden era of Megaupload, MIDI sax, and overpriced modular synthesisers, resulting in a kaleidoscopic mix of lo-fi electronica, glitch pop and vaporwave.
'Your Card Has Been Declined’ switches from mournful ambient ('The System Has Recovered From A Serious Error’), disembodied robo-vocals ('Hot Desk Solutions’) to anthemic pop (‘Unexpected Item In Bagging Area’).
Not knowing whether to laugh or cry at the absurdity of it all, Dangerwank's debut record is the media solution needed to keep sane during the modern era.
