House Vinyl New Releases - News

More than often, musicians feel that releasing music is giving birth to a baby but no one knows better than women. Stefny Winter realizes a dream by putting out a collection of meaningful tracks, all made in various important moments of her life. More so, some of the tracks were made while she was pregnant, making this project even more special to her. Coming from the 90's as a DJ who would juggle between styles, Stefny explores with no compromises or time stamp, her various tastes through time. "Wind Walker" becomes a savory collage of music that won't really stick to standard styles but will become familiar to any ears.

"HOME" ist the debut album by The Analog Roland Orchestra.

"Bird Scarer" is Andrew Weatherall's new vinyl only limited edition (300) record label. "Bird Scarer 001" is by Timothy J Fairplay - R.G.C. Studio's resident engineer, analogue curator, multi-instrumentalist, remixer and solo artiste. It's called "The Final Reel" and during its eleven minute duration it passes signposts marked "John Carpenter", "Klaus Schulze" and "Doris Norton".
The epic piece has been consolidated into a seven minute remix by Mr. Weatherall himself, who has also done a limited edition lino print to accompany the first 20 copies.
Remember, "Bird Scarer" is a download free project.

As one of the most successful artists in contemporary Techno Music Hendrik Weber aka Pantha Du Prince presents his new studio project together with Workshop's Stephan Abry: URSPRUNG. After several studio sessions in the cold and charming winter of the Swiss Alps, Abry and Weber were driven deeper and deeper into some microcosm of sound to almost cut the edge to the myth. Influenced by Krautrock, the Ambient Music of Harold Budd and early Brian Eno, Avantgarde, and the minimalistic guitar sound of Durutti Collumn the URSPRUNG project can't resist to make the guitar a main source. coming together with highly futuristic sounds as we know from the researches of Pantha Du Prince. A truly unconventional structure of slowly growing beats hold this universe which came from the cold mountains together.

Two more live jams mixed canned and pressed. Wbeeza has been hassled wherever he goes to release these.

If you were to ask Freedarich to state the artistic area he prefers working in, his shotgun answer would most probably be music with all its influences". What amuses and enthuses me most, is the subtly absurd introduction of different styles Freedarich says about himself.

To Frivolous, dance music is about living life to the full, about acting out all possible human emotions in the eccentric, sweaty arena of a club. Daniel Gardner´s tracks engage the crowds with grooves bursting of life and startling, eerie atmospheres.

Nominated as best upcoming artist in 2009 by Sebastien Leger, Siwell for sure is following the path to the sucessfull career in the 2010. Between a Format B: collaboration, and Chris Lake remix, here he is on Sphera, with this smashing release. Useless to explain why it is hammered by Umek, Leger, Knight, Popof, Format B, Lake, Lawler, Fernandez, Karotte and many more not to tell about the fact that BBC1 put it on the playlist!

Despite the doors being closed on Dissident in 2009, former boss Andy Blake has been anything but quiet, with his World Unknown imprint bringing the acid and EBM sounds of his night of the same name to the world. Now he's started another label, In Plain Sight, which looks set to bring more esoteric house sounds to our ears, with the first release coming from the hitherto unknown YoungTEE. The first track, "Dr Chocolate" fuses the kind of oddball low-slung sounds and spoken-word samples that In Flagranti have been masters of for years, with jazzy keys and 808 cowbells which hint at a subtle Chicago influence. The classic house influence continues of "Perfect Model", which combines misty chords with an 80s pop groove, falsetto vocal sample and synth jam solo which comes across as alternate universe Michael Jackson track. As you'd expect from a label curated by Blake, it's house music, but not quite as you know it.

Big with: Butch, Mathias Kaden, Reboot, Tiefschwarz, Matthias Tanzmann, Monika Kruse, Karotte, Gregor Tresher, Davide Squillace, Riva Starr, Joris Voorn, Sascha Dive, Adam Port, Jef K, Tim Green, Pirupa, Lauhaus...
"A Certain Someone" is a clarion call for Nick's forthcoming album on Cécille in March.

Schallbox Records reaches the magic catalogue number ten and in the release starting block stands no lower than label Mastermind Steve Cole himself. He builds a minimally fitted out beat scaffolding, gives to this one rustic-scratchy kick and the dance euphoria in flames placing, pitched down vocal scraps; sometimes it doesn't need more like this to place the microcosm with name dancefloor under a long-term tension! If then in the break out of the vocal fragments suddenly choral tribal vocals arise, the darkly painted track sky opens its cloud cover and surrounds with sound-rays full of repetitive spirituality the receptive disciples of the 4/4 apprenticeship. Everybodys Darling Andreas Henneberg takes up the repetitive thread in its Remix, threads on this fantastically swinging Hi Hats, binds loops of discreetly humming background tones and underfeeds its sound piece of jewellery on a wide Synthsound which rises in the track course unexpectedly the scale down and drills out the club ground till its hypnotic-submerged basic depth. Yes we have fun under the sun because Bamboo is on the trip to us.

Powerful track excursions from Adam Marshall.
"Bass Tracking" is a raw, throbbing techno bounce with jamming claps and a grizzled analog bassline that will tear out the speakers.
"Holding Down", and the alt "Beatless" version are trusted mixing weapons for early mornings or dark, heavy nights.

Well Placed Trust is a high quality tech-house with a clear american accent and slash swinging rhythms. The main track of the release was the collaboration of the Ukrainian producer JOSS with the resident of the eminent imprint Bpitch Control
