Lake People's Point EP outlines the idea of an album and manages to unfold a climax. While the opener 'Point in Time' delivers a playful, floating-hypnotic depth, 'tipping point' chills the dance floor with a relaxed groove. The B-side shows a much darker character than his previous releases. With unconventional sound-frameworks it oscillates between electronica, ambient and IDM. The ethereal melancholy that Lake People promised gets richer and is taken to another level. He created a liaison between the A and B side, which each stand for themselves, but are connected by their soft, rounded aesthetic appeal. In addition to the recently released remixes for Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Nico Stojan or Here is Why, the Point EP demonstrates the great diversity of styles pursued by Lake People.

Summer 2018 sees the beginning of the mysterious TZU series. The first in the series boasts 4 heavily swung cuts delivering deep textured grooves designed strictly for the dance floor. No names, no nonsense, just quality underground sounds.

Rube Goldberg Series begins. We have selected some of the finest talent from across the globe for our first release.

Volume One delivers four unrelenting groovers; individually flavoured, each artist brings something fresh to this overall consistent collection of tracks. Intricately complex in their creation, yet ultimately these tracks perform a simple task, much like the machines of the late R. Goldberg.

The Cyclist produces, what he has termed, "Tape Throb", musical excursions into techno dance that echo the production techniques and warm sounds of the electronic pioneers, taking his cues from the likes of Throbbing Gristle and Boards Of Canada. His releases to date on labels like Stones Throw, All City Records, Music Is For Losers and Crash Symbols have seen him rack up four full length albums (including under his Buz Ludzha moniker) with plenty more juice in the tank, as his debut on Hypercolour attests to.

"Pressing Matters" harks back to the golden age of breakbeat, bendy synths and pliable bass smack in the face of brain melting breaks, delivered with energy and a very authentic touch. A hugely unique sound and without frontiers, it's a cut that will cross genres with ease.

Robag Wruhme never fails to disappoint as a producer/remixer, his purple patch seems to show no sign of letting up, with releases on Pampa, Kompakt and remixes for Stimming, Alter Ego and Paul Kalkbrenner. His remix of "Pressing Matters" masterfully flips from its breaks origins into a twisted four to the floor belter, with grandiose touches and church like organs giving it a spiritual spin.

"Back In '92" will indeed evoke memories 24 hour pirate radio output and raving in fields, and for those who weren't there first time around, it's a cut that's as fresh and vital sounding today as it ever was, with light piano riffs and melodious keys over the choppy drums.

Featuring the vocal talents of Tanaya Harper, "Push" closes the EP in fine style, intricate drum patterns and rolling snares jar against the ethereal vocal performance and brooding synths, a quintessentially British type of production and one that treads similar territory to Jamie XX's recent pathos to UK rave culture.

'Katalox' is Christian Jay's second 12" for Idle Hands, following on from 'Contrail' in 2016. That release made its mark with a distinctive blend of swinging UK Garage and a deftness of touch usually associated with the best minimal techno. A sound befitting this former Bristol resident and now Berlin dwelling artist. This new 12" picks up where the last one left off. 'Katalox' is propelled by a crunchy, understated breakbeat. 'Del's Kicks' is the more meditative cut.

As the wind whistles through your hair, everything passes you by in a blur. Faster and faster you go, faster and more terrifyingly into the abyss you fall. You scream with a mixture of panic and joyful abandon half wanting this to never end but knowing that it will anytime now: a smile creeps across your face. And as it ends, you breathe a sigh of relief, wistfully remembering with powerful emotive accuracy before hurriedly joining the back of the queue for another go - after all, it's just a ride. Life is very much like the 'Blitzbahn'. It goes up and down, round and round and for much of the ride, we never know what's going to happen. Here on his fifth studio album, Oliver Schories explores all the fun of the fair across 13 expansive cuts that showcase his incredible knack for straddling that House/Techno mid-point with consummate ease. Some artists take years to craft their albums, agonising over every detail before, frustratingly, deleting the whole project and starting again. Oliver, however, is as prolific as he is confident of his ability to construct the kind of dance floor bombs that have helped him to build a significant head of steam in the underground.

Moustache Homo club series one [MST035] Moustache Records goes undercover in the underground S&M gay subculture of Rotterdam City to catch a serial killer who is preying on gay men, she-males and trannies. To catch this notorious serial killer the Dutch goverment hired the most serious guys. David Vunk with his cult classic Hetero girl (six lines of speed version) btw pulling the trigger is his middle name. Then the Macgyver in breaking into everywhere BRZ with his oldskool modulair techno track with top notch Jungle Brothers samples that remind me of Guy Tavares or Unit Moebius called YOKO 01. On the flipside we have| Parasols with the track Exort he's the man waiting in the car and the man who will take care of all things later, is Dax Jax with a Parkzicht classics vibe pumping 90-ies track called MaDMAn. One thing for sure, we will get the fuckker.. and leave his last parts to the piggggs..... various artists.. electro techno nowave classics dont sleep on this..... limited copies!

Le Louche's track selections are a result of his never-ending search for finding the perfect grooves that soothe the soul.
He aims to synthesise his musical influences to create the type of music that he appreciates the most: groovy basslines and deep synths tied together by a shuffling house beat. His first release on vinyl on Daydream perfectly exemplifies this.

The French duo Dixia Sirong pays tribute to the Singaporean Velvet Underground club, where they first discovered and experienced the power of House music. Their eclectic inspired sound is placed between hard bass grooves and tranquil wavelength. Both producers process aims to merge harmony, rhythm and texture into a unique way of composing and shaping their vibe.

French label Meant serve up another EP from their fast rising Montreal based duo Vosper. Made up of Edouard Le and Christopher Byron, the pair excels in analogue funk, have also released on Throne of Blood and here get remixed by Items & Things man Marc Houle. Taking some of their cues from the likes of Drexcyia and Mark Bell, the duo have a sound somewhere between darkened Techno and physical EBM.
The title track 'Losing Control' is a raw and stripped back bit of house music with a taught bassline, eerie robot voices and plenty of industrial grit and grime in the textures on offer. It's heavy warehouse music but retains a great sense of dynamism before 'Kabuki Playboy' lays down a rich, rasping bassline and has various shooting synths dance all around it. The claps are metallic and grainy
And the mood is one you'd find at a deserted industrial estate in the dead of night. 'Isolation' verges on electro with again a gnarly
Bassline and great sense of wide open but futuristic space. A clatter of hits and spaceship like synths all circle round the groove and it's another hugely evocative track.
Minimal techno master Marc Houle then remixes 'Isolation' into something with more echo and menace buried within. It's a subtle
Rework but one that makes the track that bit more fearsome and moody. First digital bonus 'Oni' is a sparse affair that relies on its alien Voices and spaceship like sounds to craft a very real atmosphere and ambiance where robots and machines rule the roost. It's crisp
And analogue, slyly funky and seriously heady. The second digital bonus is a remix of 'Kabuki Playboy' by Monoblok & PSLKTR that
Gets even more heavy and physical with ripping bass notes, dumpy kick drums and serene, searching synths subtly lighting up the backdrop. This is a fine EP that really takes you to another world entirely thanks to the studious production and great sense of mood throughout. As such, Vosper are very much a duo on the rise.

Francis Harris is a founding member of the Scissor & Thread label - a Brooklyn-based imprint established 2011 as an outlet for deeper, more personal sounds, as well as music from a range of associated artists including black light smoke, Bob Moses, Frank & Tony, DJ Aakmael, Desert Sound Colony and Aris Kindt, to name a few. Harris' own output has gone from tightly wound tech house cuts as Adultnapper in the early days, sublime deep house as Frank & Tony, intricate and expressive musical journeys as evident in his two solo-albums 'Leland' and 'Minutes Of Sleep', and ambient shoegaze with two Aris Kindt albums, co-produced with Gabe Hedrick. Most recently Harris branched out with a new label - Kingdoms - a home for his love of a more adventurous sound. Now we are proud to present his new solo single, the first since the release of 'Minutes of Sleep', 'Minor Forms'which includes two remarkable remixes by Valentino Mora. 'More We Cannot Do' is a perfect example of Harris' feel for depth and dynamics - a track that feels submerged in a warm amniotic fluid cocooning the listener in a thick subby bassline, providing much of the groove, with skittering percussion on top and intricate fragments of melody throughout leading to a wonderful moment with live vibraphone provided by New York player Will Shore. 'Minor Forms', the EP's title track is cut from similar cloth - emerging from a subtly distant place to inhabit a melancholic, beautifully evocative space - somewhere between ambient, jazz and the dancefloor. Joining Harris is Greg Paulus on Trumpet, a long time friend and collaborator adding his signature touch to an already moving piece.

After his separation from Playhouse in 2007 and the rather longish break that followed it, it looks as if Isolée has finally found their new homebase with Pampa Records. Evidence of this may be found in such unprejudiced tracks as 'Taktell", a single extracted from the album 'Well-Spent Youth' . As is tyical for Isolée, it defies any clear-cut genre classification and creates its very own harmonic setting, merging associations of pop, house and distant landscapes into a unique sound voyage. Now his second EP on Pampa is being released, and 'Allowance' doesn't leave an inch of a doubt where the road is headed. Without making any concessions to the needs of a DJ, from bar one the theme is being introduced in all its inherent necessity and then continually established until a seemingly worn-out, mainstream, pop autotune voice settles upon the cosy bass bed just like a cherry on the cake. We haven't known Isolée anywhere near as free and poppy in a very long time. A more mix-friendly version of the track will be available for digital download. 'You Could Do Your Memories' lures the listener away into a daydream, as if he suddenly found himself in an unknown place at a new-wave party that cannot possibly have happened the way it did. 'Wobble", on the other hand, leaves only few questions unanswered, the party definitely looks familiar, and just when we reach that point where the funk motif resulting from the fusion of bassline and chords is threatening to wear us down, we are being released.

The Song Says - Bruno Pronsato´s label restarts after 4 years of hiatus with a Vinyl Version of his seminal "Lovers Do"

It's been fours years since the original release of Lovers Do. For the first time now finally released on vinyl. In the meantime he's kept very busy--primarily with side projects. First there was Others, his experimental house outfit with Daze Maxim. Then came Public Lover, his duo with the French artist Ninca Leece that debuted last year on thesongsays (Bruno's label). He's continued to join forces with Sammy Dee as Half Hawaii, playing live shows around Europe and putting out tracks on Perlon and Diamonds & Pearls. As half of the duo Ndf, he coproduced Since We Last Met, a single that marked his debut on DFA and landed in Pitchfork's top tracks of the year. But while he was juggling all these different projects, one piece of music was slowly taking shape: his third and most immersive album, Lovers Do. Like much of Bruno's work to date, Lovers Do is experimental without being snobby--or to use his own term, accidentally avantgarde'-- but this one takes it further than the others. It has a looseness that's truly rare in techno, scrapping formulaic verses and breaks, it winds along like an abstract sketch, guided by intuition instead of logic. Some songs are fraught with nervous tension, others are soothing and rich with detail, from dappling rhodes to orchestral swells, jazzy drum fills and wet hand claps. Human voices swirl in and out of the mix, serving only to make things more surreal. Many of the tracks stretch well beyond ten minutes, one bows out after less than three. The album overall is delicate and subtle, but it also features Bruno's best club tune in years, the eerie and delirious Feel Right.' Brian Eno once described his own

Conceptual Records presents you its third vinyl only release Univers Parallele written by a music producer from Canada, Montreal Claire. Inspired by her tour in Europe in 2016, Claire finally embodies her absolutely cosmically sounding ideas in three original composition: Pyjama Jazz, Sometimes I Turn Into stars (on side A) and Parallel Dimensios ( on side B) , in which she uses futuristic sounds, analog drum sections, deep bass, jazz sections from the 30 s and her own vocal. The last track of this release is a tribal dance mix from a talented modern musician of romanian origin living in Ibiza Plusculaar (on B2). Mixdown and mastering by Pheek. Not content with already steering the Vigenere and Oscillat labels and appearing regularly on Will & Ink and Lazare Hoche, Malin Genie has launched his own self-titled label as a vessel for his most intriguing twists on the house and techno template. The record strides in with the tracky tones of "Hypothetical Island Of Stability," a feast of micro pops and squiggles strapped to a rock solid beat. "Fudeoroshi" is more overtly minimalist in nature, using the barest of ingredients to make a potent dancefloor cut. "Bulbocavernosa" opens up the filters and lets a little nasty acid fun and games into the mix, and then "Mer Neith It Es" rounds the record off with a soaring slice of melodic, deep techno that stands confidently apart from the rest of the tracks.

To coincide with their 8th year, Toitoi gear up for their biggest release yet with Ricardo Villalobos & Argenis Brito teaming up under 'Pol & Pox'. 'El Malekon' kicks things off in typically trippy fashion with loose percussive groove and a subdued bassline line whilst disembodied vocals swirl in and out of the mix. 'Rikileaks' conjures up more aquatic joy, this time with a more pronounced male vocal being the centre point to another beautifully meandering 11 minute ride.

PRFY 002 features four acid centered tracks by Purify Records co-founder and longterm Goethebunker resident Cramp. The first solo EP of the german DJ and producer features four crafty club cuts suitable for a versatile range of settings. Acid, Techno, House, Dub - it's all in there. Don't sleep on this one!

Our second vinyl release 'Apus La Cariera' comes from Mihai Pol and it is an organic reinterpretation of the musical influences that Mihai gathered and perfected him as an newly emerging artist.
TRCKV02 is harmonious flared release with sounds pitching having been placed in a frenziedly yet smart allegory, only to create a well rounded three track release. 'Apus La Cariera' follows a mystical allure to its journey, whereas 'Raw' is more of an unpolished track, especially aimed to be a rough piece of the release. 'Prepareu' on the other hand intrigues the B-side with an uneven story to tell.

Indigenous Electronic is a recently launched vinyl only label, seeking to showcase a combination of both known and undiscovered talent. The label's first release is a 4 track ep, by Siamak Amidi, the creative director of Analog Room in Dubai, as well as a producer, dj and Volt music label boss. The EP reflects the producer's experience with the confluence of both analog and digital synthesis. The A side presenting newer material with the B side some of his older unreleased works. "Unconditional Love" a stripped down affair, deep, dynamic and ethereal without ever losing the focus on the groove with it's tight production. "Retro Floor Vison Aspect" takes us further into trippier post 5am territory, also stripped yet with enough going on to keep the senses tantalized, the standout hook to the bassline, swirling micro electronics with a variated jacking high hat, tried and tested. Siamak's "Tool" is a deep techy driving affair, with light haunting pads above and throughout track with original use of effects on the high end percussion. "You Think You Know It" is a rolling percussive track that comfortably rides the boundary between house and techno, with well defined low end and sweeping synth pads that once again demonstrates Amidi's abilities in the mix down to not swamp the track or dilute the groove. Beef Records' latest 12" brings a flavour of the underground sound of Sydney. Jaded & James Petrou are two guys behind the city's infamous party Kinky Disco and have now locked themselves down in the studio to produce two hypnotic underground cuts. 'Toni's Pain'is a moody, chugging deep house cut using a sample of Toni Braxton that twists her up in all sorts of new ways, while 'Rollin Stone' gives similar treatment to The Temptations/The Undisputed Truth's classic vocal. The title track comes backed by two of the most in demand artists right now - INXEC and No Artificial Colours. First remixer INXEC (aka Chris Sylvester) is in a white-hot streak of form at the moment with particular highlights on Crosstown Rebels and Leftroom. The second remix is by the No Artificial Colours duo who are equally on form with recent plays of their groovy tracks by Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Maya Jane Coles. The NAC remix of 'Toni's Pain' is getting great support already and has been licensed for a future Ministry Of Sound compilation.

Dragutesku is a new master of micro/minimalist soundscapes, he takes a malicious delight in building upper class patterns composed by mesmerizing textures as well as elaborated structures. The tracks are a mix of clean and precise minimal sound, with deep subs and bright high-pitched notes , slowly developing. 
The remix, a deeper interpretation from Herck of the track Sinistru has already been supported and played by one of Romania's top producer Nu Zau.

Even with the first sounds, the organic structures can be heard - and felt. A crystalline crackling of the hi-hat very close to the ear, as if the black volcanic sand of Lanzarote would trickling on the metal. The echo of the samples does not point to endless distances, rather, it swings up the cochlea and enters into a special world in which sound material develops a delicate self-life.

It is the world of Denis Rodd, producer and label founder of Cochlea Music, who moved from the Canary Islands to Berlin. His first EP on Cochlea Music is Embryo. Everything stands at the beginning, also in the first track, 'Crisalida', Chrysalis in Spanish.

Techno in 2018 and Cocoon Recordings in 2018: What on earth is left when everything has already been said, done, produced, sampled and triggered, then revisited and re-imagined once again for good measure - and all that, knowing full well the wheel can't actually be reinvented... but hang on a second, isn't that exactly the point Isn't that the real core of this music It just keeps on turning like a great, infinite wheel!

The revolution in sound, that magical moment at the very beginning is now, admittedly, a distant memory. To this day however, the origins of the movement reappear time and again as stylistic features in current productions. The uncompromising, distorted rhythms of Detroit, the euphoria of UK Acid House and the subsequent 'Second Summer of Love' or the magical "Bring Down The Walls" vibe of Germany's post-reunification years which still shapes the Berlin scene today, not forgetting of course, the Hessian excess of the Techno-freaks from Frankfurt.... all this has very little to do with contemporary Techno. The meaningful element of this music, the true core of quality techno lies in itself, not in what once was or where it came from. That's exactly why this music still works, even for those who have been on the bus from day one.

In the meantime, the wheel has turned so far that every conceivable genre has been defined and then packed full of memorable moments. Techno, Minimal, House, Tech House, Deep House, Electro, EDM, Acid etc, etc, etc. Names, styles, references... it's all smoke and mirrors. Yes, they certainly help us to categorise a track on first listening, but it's listening to the music, dancing to it and simply letting it be that's by far the most important thing. Society as a reflection of cultural development shows us where persistent labelling can lead. Left, right, up, down, all this ultimately leads us to lose sight of what's really important. Music and dancing connect people, overcome language barriers, skin colours and national borders and we have to start looking at our music in this light. Almost 30 years after the Second Summer Of Love, it's time to classify our music not by origin and category, but by the feelings it triggers and how it works.

Which brings us to Cocoon Recordings and above all to Cocoon Head Sven Väth, who demands exactly this from himself and "his" music. Few other DJs embody the ability to "think outside the box" like Frankfurt's honorary citizen, whether he's dropping Sade's version of "Why Can't We Live Together" to close out the night or ushering in Monday morning with the Bangles' "Just Another Manic Monday". Of course Sven and Cocoon are also synonymous with Techno, nevertheless we should look back over the last few years of Cocoon Recordings with great pride and recognise that strict style guidelines and exaggerated pigeonholing no longer apply. It's especially true for the compilation series, which having now reached the letter R(ecordings), impressively shows the arc the Frankfurt label's output continues to span. From soft and melodic with a lot of depth to highly functional and extremely crisp - there's a creative range on offer that very few labels can boast.

The current compilation "R" not only continues this idea, it is a prime example of the label's philosophy. The illustrious circle of artists on the latest compilation is peppered with such prominent names as Isoleé, Lusine, Pig&Dan, Inigo Kennedy, Ambivalent & Alden Tyrell, ROD and Mano Le Tough. Label representative and Frankfurt original Ingo Boss is once again on board and with contributions from International Anything, John Heckle, Cristi Cons and Eduardo De La Calle, promising new faces from further afield are also represented. Of course, all this doesn't say much about the actual content, but that's exactly what it's about. Known vs. unknown, origins, discography etc, it's not important on this LP-Box. Cocoon Recordings delivers what the label stands for and what it does best: promoting new artists, bringing celebrity names on board and above all, not building any musical walls either on or off the dancefloor. With releases like this, it's clear to us that the journey is ongoing and the wheel will continue to spin. All we have to do is join in and stop trying to label everything we don't know and put it in a box. Our music isn't new anymore, but it remains great and has the energy to connect us, no matter what category or subcategory it belongs to.

Rabotnic is back to Paragram with new interesting project Raborb. Victor Lihonosov and Alexander Kuredenko are Raborb, Moscow based duo founded in 2015. Rabotnic is one of those standout names amongst the current wave of young Russian producers and Orbet supertalented producer who have a lot of secret weapons. Greek producer Markos Spanoudakis aka Kreon has made really nice remix.

Cabala returns with it's 2nd installment courtesy of Rasna Luji, he delivers two original tracks from his new alta ego, Microhouse & House are the flavours of the EP and each track is accompanied by a remix , Jamie Lie A Kwie & Jamahr are in control for Rasna on this release.

It's time to invite some New Kids' onto the block as Jammhot come very correct with a 4 tracker of what can only be described as Lush' House Music. The EP is a collection of deep, swinging analogue grooves with both feet firmly planted in the Real House Music' sound.

The production duo who are split between both Leeds and London and currently hold a residency with Ape X in Newcastle have previously released on labels like Dirtcrew, Leftroom and fellow rEJEKT favorite Jamie Trench's Root For Bloom imprint.

As you have quite rightly come to expect, this is a release of high quality productions. We set up our label to do things properly! In a world where music has become so throwaway, we strive to have an output that stands the test of time. . Otherwise . . Seriously what's the point

On the remix front we've drafted in the Jedi master that is Dudley Strangeways (Ovum / Holic Trax) known for his tight stripped back productions, his mix offers a deeper, more sparce interpretation to the fuller sounding original and the fact that Dudley is a mastering engineer himself means that he's bang on our level when it comes to the quest for perfection.
