Originally released in the year 2000, Sono – Keep Control is one of the defining dance tracks of this millennium. To mark the 20th anniversary of this classic track, ARTBAT now present their own version of the legendary tune.

O'Girl aka Ellinor Jackson is back once again on Borft! Her debut left me wanting for more. Like label boss Villa Abo said 'Sometimes you just feel right about it'. Although this 4-tracker is her second record out there the music is fully matured house goodness. Stabs and chords builds up a funky groove on a solid beat foundation in Corners Couch. Proper sunset/sundown dance music. Snap Happy dives right into filtered loopy loops and voice samples. It takes its time so you can get snug and cosy and then unleashes a percussion party right at the end so you'll be smile-dancing and sipping fizzy in no time. Shoddy Shoes is a straight up club joint. Dark wobbly techno bass moves dubby stabs forward while a mysterious mist floats on top. Some strong clap action keeps everything moving from side to side! Big drops, super heavy drum programming and grooves that sound like only Joy Orbison right now. There’s shades of garage, shades of funky, shades of old school R&B. Pete wears his influences on his sleeve yet re-wraps them in his own unmistakable and truly unique style. Actress’s Neu Haus refix is the perfect foil for this package. A raw, almost unconstructed tool that in the right hands will create huge tension on the floor. Actress, aka, Darren J. Cunningham has in the last 5 years of running the Werk label set himself apart as one of the hottest A&R scouts within his field, having discovered and released some of the most widely talked about artists of the emerging bass generation, namely Disrupt, Zomby, Lukid and Starkey. As actress he produced the exceptional "Hazyville LP" drawing cries for a Mercury Award Nomination. He's remixed the too cool for school Various Production, written for the seminal techno imprint Soma and has recently confirmed an album deal to record on Honest Jons, the British Independent record label created and founded by Damon Albarn.

Small Hours returns and proudly welcomes two new faces to the label. DJ Pipe brings the heat with an excellent debut track reminiscent of his fine DJ sets at CDV & Hoppetosse in recent times. Oslo digger and emerging producer, Rub800, also joins the family delivering a raw, tripped out affair on side B. Local legend, 'Hollywood' Huerta sets the bar high with one of his finest jams to date, plus label boss Youandewan departs a little from his usual sound with a bouncy, entrancing effort to complete the EP.

DJ Dan has been a pinnacle of the dance music scene in America since the early 90s and has toured around the world with the likes of Carl Cox, DJ Sneak and Pete Tong to name a few.

Dan's label imprint InStereo is played by many top DJs around the world and Dan has chosen some of his strongest releases for Vol. 3 of the Slammin Trax series.

Leeds born producer and DJ Carlo Gambino has become a name synonymous with deeper leaning house from the UK over the past decade, releasing his material via the likes of 3am Recordings, Zingiber Audio and his own Midnight Social Recordings
and Amongst Others. Here though we see him joining Cinthie’s we_r house, following releases on the label from Kevin Over, Alessio Viggiano and Toman.

Top Notch house tunes by Garrett David who returns to Stripped & Chewed with a continuation of his love letter to Queen!, a weekly institution every Sunday at Chicago's Smart Bar. Garrett describes his Queen! experience as fully surreal. "It's been the one constant in my life. Every week since I was 20 y/o. That's wild. For the last 7 years, Queen! has shaped my music and me." Dan Curtin needs little introduction; his unique blend of hi-tech funk & aerobic programming inhabits an unmistakable island of deep techno all to it's own. We journeyed to this island in search of long-buried treasure and struck gold: four energetic gems from Curtin's unreleased archive circa 1998-2001. Get ready to let loose.

As Pathway Traxx finds itself embarking on a dawn of maturity the now familiar colourful label welcomes in its 4th vinyl only release.
This bright yellow vinyl 4th installment welcomes on board relative newcomer on the house scene, Amir Maglajlija a.k.a. Espada. Originating from Bosnia & Herzegovina, Espada only began producing in early 2011 but as you will hear on this release his production skills far out weigh his years of experience. Amir delivers a truly sublime A-side with sprinkles of jazz influenced house and funk. He effortlessly intertwines melodic keys with jazzy horns whilst keeping things moving along nicely through his infectious drums and percussion.
The B-side of the EP see's Pathway Traxx return to more familiar ground with a stripped back deep rework by Mannheim native, ManooZ. Having released on the likes of Tomorrow is Now Kid, Swink and ALIVE Recordings to name but a few, its clear to see Manooz is a force to be reckoned with, and a name well-known for quality house productions.
And last, but by certainly no means last, in typical Pathway Traxx style, they've saved the heavy weight banger for the last track on the B-side. This out and out club ripper is delivered by close label friend and well renowned groove maker, Kezla. Expect nothing more and nothing less than Stripped back drums and a bone-shaking baseline!
