Mit "Aurora" ist dem mexikanischen Sänger Lengualerta ein Langspieler gelungen, bei dem kritisch-
engagierte Texte stilsicher und erstaunlich frisch auf mitreißende Sounds treffen. Bereits seit zehn Jahren ist
Lengualerta künstlerisch aktiv und macht dabei auf die Missstände in seiner Heimat aufmerksam und legt den
Finger in die Wunden des Systems - wortgewaltig und unverblümt. Neben unzähligen Konzerten in seiner
Heimat war er schon auf Bühnen in Südamerika, Kanada und Europa zu sehen. Dort gelang es ihm stets,
einen bleibenden Eindruck zu hinterlassen. Charakteristisch für Lengualerta ist die Verknüpfung von Reggae
mit lateinamerikanischen Protestliedern und südamerikanischen Genres wie etwa Cumbia. Ein weitgefasstes
Spektrum, das Lengualerta als Kosmopolit und Grenzgänger ausweist. Auch bei der Auswahl seiner Riddims
ist der ganze Erdball vertreten. Neben seinem Hausproduzenten Dukas (Bungalo Dub) sind auf "Aurora"
beispielsweise auch Produktionen von Ganjaman, Ingo Rheinbay (Pow Pow), Twilight Circus und Seeed am
Start.

Seit Jahren liegt Deep House voll im Trend. Dabei handelt es sich bei der melodiebetonten und etwas langsameren (etwa 125 bpm) Stilart von House um einen alten Hut. Historisch gesehen entwickelte sich Deep House gegen Ende der 1980er-Jahre aus Chicago House. Während in den Staaten die Deep-House-
Welle schon vor Jahrzehnten rollte, sind in Europa Fritz Kalkbrenner, Hot Chip, Boris Dlugosch, Gui Boratto,
Sascha Braemer, Bonobo und Konsorten vor allem seit den Zehnerjahren des 21. Jahrhunderts kommerziell
erfolgreich. Die genannten Musiker sind zusammen mit weiteren Dutzend Künstlern auf der Kompilation "Deep House Fever 02" vertreten. Wer wissen will, was in den Clubs der Metropolen die Massen auf den Dancefloor zieht, ist mit diesem Sampler hervorragend bedient. Er bietet auf vier CDs einen mitreißenden
Einstieg ins Deep-House-Geschehen.

After the very successful '64 Ways' Ep that we released earlier this summer we are ready for more Detroit Swindle 'Boxed Out' goodness. The boys have selected some of their fave producers to Lay their hands on four originals from the album. First up is Mr. Freerange himself, Jamie Odell, who delivers a typical deep and fresh sounding reinterpretation of B.Y.O. under his Jimpster moniker. It's a true house jam as only he can build it wit a great 'Live' feeling. This is followed by MRSK from Sweden who you might know from his excellent releases on 'Rush Hour", 'Skudge' or 'Sushitech". He boosts the banging 'He's Just This Guy, You Know' to even higher levels with a raw Disco and Funk infusion. The B side opens with Germany's finest 'Cuthead' who has just released his debut album on 'Uncanny Valley' and who has been a huge inspiration to the boys in the past years, we are very glad that he drops his great skills on the smooth 'Me, Myself & You' track. Closing off is non other than legendary Baltimore producer Karizma aka Kaytronik, it's a great honour for us to have such an influential producer on this EP and his take on the album Hip Hop jam 'For The Love Of...' is something special. Crystal clear Techno/ House beats with deep subs and the cut up vocal from the original turn this remix into something very special and timeless.

Oblack faces a fascinating and new stage in which vinyl calls back to play the main role within his record releases. In this new series, 'Only Vinyl', Los Pastores own label, will put all the energy on the best sound from the underground dance music, slightly derived from house, and its essence will be offered in the best ever format: 12inch wax. It is worth highlighting the album cover for Oblack 016 as well -illustrated and designed by Hector Omkara and Alberto Vidal- which becomes the first of a graphic series for album covers where biomechanical animals will be the protagonists.

To open this new phase, they have counted on two international masters of the housey business: Justin Harris and Brett Johnson. Together, they have created one of the best albums ever released on Oblack. The truth is that when talent, experience, good taste and know-how get all together in a recording studio, in between hands and machines, the result will be inmediate and satisfactory, and also will spread to any existing dancefloor.

This 'The Lion' (Mane Mix), which names the EP -and which is written solo by UK producer Justin Harris- it's a tempered house move, deliciously spiced and perfectly cooked. Built on a classic house structure, several other details come across the development of the track, which takes us straight to the dancefloor. The elegant and saucy bassline leads us to the road of the fierce and solid vocals, which at the same time will lean on a break that changes everything. From that point onwards, Justin Harris will go for his infamous dose of bubbly acid-house. All of these facts provide the tune with immense versatility and make it perfect to be played both, in the middle of the night or in the after-hours set.

'It's Possible', that also counts on Justin Harris's signature, goes into the darkest, strangest, most martian and especially, acid.. very acid house. To the regular housey patterns, Justin Harris adds several of his own elements which make the track uniquely dynamic and changing in different directions on the go, taking us to that dreamy and uncanny state which only high quality electronic music can take us to. Long live to acid!

Last but not least, we have the remix of 'It's Possible' by northamerican producer Brett Johnson. It's not hard notice his taste for house, techno, disco and even 8-beat! He is renowned international remixer who has released more than 100 records among remixes and productions of his own, all of them within the best labels in the world. And with this job for Justin Harris and Oblack, Bret has yet made it one more time. This is a more nihilistic , mischevious and naive version of the original track. It is 'Electronic music..' as heard all over the EP, but it seeks for a smile.

This latest release of Prego (a division of Vielspaß records) comes up with two epic tracks reshaped by Mick Wills. The Wall - Fire on the A side is a bright disco-ish wave hymn raised with the M.W. style. The Stallion - Hope on the B side is a hypnotic floor killer with haunting lyrics and atmosphere.

Agostino Casillo, born in 1985, begins to approach music in the late '90s, influenced by the house sounds that characterize those years. Never shut up in one genre, his desire to experiment led him to deepen the knowledge of all the trends related to electronic music, from 'house to techno, from deep to nu disco. Out of every scheme, his productions are very eclectic. He is currently resident in one of the most innovative party of Neapolitan underground scene, Nice To Be. In 2013 he release his first track ìSickî on Stop Clone Music, in January 2015 his second track ìMy Visionî was released on ìNice To Be Recordsî. Make It Right Ep is an abstract of all is musical background caught up into four great tracks.

It's been exactly 20 years since the first SUICIDE COMMANDO album "Critical Stage" was released on the German Off Beat label.
It was the promising start of a long and ultimatily succesful career and today SUICIDE COMMANDO can be easily described as on of THE leading harsh electro acts in the alternative scene.
What some of you might not know is that Johan Van Roy still released 9 (!) tapes before releasing his debut album in 1994.
"Electro Convulsion Therapy" was the last and without any doubt the most succesfull tape released in 1993. It already contained the original 4 track recordings of later clubhits like "Traumatize", "Necrophilia" or "Time", but also featured other pearls like "Close Your Eyes", "Sheer Horror" or "How It Feels".
"Electro Convulsion Therapy" holds the complete last tape on lp, but also contains a selection of the best songs from the other early tapes released between 1988 and 1992, including several rare songs and even one previously unreleased song as a bonus on the free included cd version , all remastered by Eric Van Wonterghem at Prodam Berlin 2015.
