House Vinyl New Releases - News

Following up on his highly anticipated debut tape from 2018, TAFKAMP returns and delivers INDRUKKEN II - an exciting trip through a selection of musical impressions from the Rotterdam-based artist. Limited edition tape run!

Another win for the Glowing Pin as Müller & Wandt drop a fresh new age groover on a killer club dub tip. Elsewhere Phazer Boys, Suzanne Kraft, Philipp Otterbach and River Yarra remix the pscht out of their favourite tracks from ‘Instrumentalmusik..’. Expect Goan hits, cosmic trips, loved up rave and chilled out wave on this flawless five tracker.

Growing Bin becomes Glowing Pin for the most anticipated rematch of the century. Back at the beginning of 2018, Wolf Müller and Niklas Wandt went head to head for a box office smash, throwing a high school percussion tray, wall of hardware and voodoo skull into the ring for the tribal trip of ‘Instrumentalmusik Von Der Mitte Der World’. Now the multi-instrumental duo face off once again, but this time it’s a royal rumble with Phazer Boys, Suzanne Kraft, Phillip Otterbach and River Yarra all bringing the noise to the Glowing Pin.

Müller and Wandt dominate the action on the A1, playing loose with sampler vox, serene pads and future primitive rhythms on the unreleased ‘Fun Dub’ of the also unreleased ‘Dub Dub’. Imagine Ferris Bueller’s trampoline tumble trading Chicago to the Weissenhof and you’ll sense the mood of this New Age groove. Germany’s number one party dudes, those freaky Phazer Boys take a break from dropping killer Candomblé cuts to reach for the lasers on the A2, taking ‘Ahu’ to another dimension. Dripping in neon body paint and armed with fire poi, the Düsseldorf duo power up progressive house sequences, didgeridoo bass and thumping tribal house percussion for a wall-shaking, speaker-breaking remix.

The B1 belongs to synth whiz Suzanne Kraft who revels in glistening, gliding glory on an expansive remix of ‘Auflösung’. Sleek, serene and futuristic, the track shimmers like Fritz Lang’s Metropolis, free from inequality and rendered with the 5D(ub?) majesty of a DMT breakthrough.
B2 hears Salon associate and serious talent Philipp Otterbach take over on a stripped back and psychedelic post punk dub of ‘Expedition’. Angular bass by Süne Große and a stuttering rhythm underpin astral flourishes and the hazy vocals of Lucas Croon before the African elements begin to move to the forefront.
Last man standing is Australian outlier River Yarra, who leads us into the Krautback with a chugging dub of ‘Weltraumsandalen’. Lent a lysergic sparkle by a percolating one-note bassline, this slow motion stunner masters perpetual motion amid the eerie echoes of the bush, organic percussion and electronic animal cries fading into the night. Let the pins glow again.

The Mangue Labelheads are pushing forward and proove that the label has a pretty unique sound - straight and very melodical. And again they welcome Microtrauma (Traum Schallplatten, Microtonal)
for another hot remix. Played & supported by Stephan Bodzin, Alexi Delano, Gabriel Ananda, Paco Osuna, Daniel Sanchez, Anderson Noise, NTFO, Oscar and many more.

Highly ELEGAL material indeed!! From what we can tell its a rag-tag collection of obscure and hard to find tracks from the years 92/93/94. Featuring melodic breakbeat from early San Franciscan rave act Enlight, moody Techno from James Bernard's Cybertrax project (the track in question here having only seen the light of day on the 1994 'The Secret Life of Trance Volume 3' compilation) and epic Trance-breaks from Germany producer Utasia. Hot stuff!!

It features co-production from Charlie May, Junkie XL and James Holden. Upon release, the album charted on the UK and US Albums Charts, peaking at number 18 and 157 respectively. The album features some of his best work, including “Bloodlock” (featuring James Holden) and the ultimate album closer “Wavy Gravy”.

Hier kommt die dritte EP des britischen DJ/Produzenten Alex "Kiwi" Warren (Optimo, 17 Steps, Disco Halal, Cin Cin, Correspondant, NeedWant, Futureboogie) auf seinem neuen Imprint Crossbreed zu der immer populärer werdenden, sex-positiven Patrtyreihe in London.

The latest Lost & Found release comes from Guy Mantzur, the winner of the Israeli Walla Night Life Award for the No.1 DJ Producer 2018. As he never LOST his obsession to produce underground music, he FOUND the way to share a brand new masterpiece with his global audience through Guy J's record label. This two track EP is a perfect blend of sophistication and futurism and it's just about to open your doors of perception. Take the dive if you dare!

Inner atmos and next time – rain into rivers, rivers to rain.

Sequence is subjective, irrelevant – it’s where we stand. Out of order, we dissolve and reform, coming together to come undone. There is no first, no now, no next – just precision points in the wide deep sky.

Another bang, another – it’s the reading which is important. Repeating in parallel, the natural loop is healing; repair, resonance, return. We live in a fragment; soft light and clouds drift like dreams into memory, showing movement in the mirror.

“Here the performer becomes free like the playful clouds high above the world of pain, suffering, happiness, ecstasy, disappointment, greed and ambition of human life”

In this present, we are touched to have unreleased business from Memphis. In unlocking the stoic DAT tapes we open a direct channel from 1993 to this now; three tracks which are meditative, essential rhythm with direct, organic charge. It’s Dream Night Dance Music and Osram 509, with RHK, En-Trance, and Microgravity.

More poetry in remembering our first release was also Memphis. Big complex loops and inner paths. Who’s been here before? All of us, one of us, none of us.

Telfort’s seductive sound returns with three new cruise missiles from the faultless producer. Deep house done with a dazzling expanse, his imaginative and charismatic influence on the genre have previously piqued the attention of the more creative DJs and diggers who’ve dug the producer’s umami-esque palette: intangibly savoury, hard to define but unequivocally tasty.

On his fourth release via the sporadic yet impactful TLFT imprint, the producer retains his playful touch as he delivers three bright, optimistic dancefloor vistas that shimmer and shine like sunbeams off a dappled ocean. “As Though It Were” immediately injects energy and light into our minds and bodies with its candescent bass riff and catchy three note melodies. Synth-strings are arranged with perfection, hinting at a brave New World full of compassion, love and unity; while its driving and buoyant beats urge us into a hips’ n ’shoulders workout comparable to a high-octane gym session.

“It’s A Phase” is as finely crafted a piece of Telfortian house as one can hope for. With a direct and rugged B-line, peppered with light perx and decorated beautifully by one of Telfort’s trademark, textural synth patches. It’s further garnished by a dreamy, weaving lead solo that should draw heartfelt feelings of desire and nostalgia out of all who experience it.

“MSR Dub” completes the session and deep bass plumes and breathy flute melodies give us Big feelings as we floor the speedboat’s accelerator and splash across the rollers and swells at max speed. Achieving a tranquil and calming terminal velocity, time appears to stand still as gorgeous scenery rushes past our eyes. It’s a picturesque and evocative end to the trip which should etch itself into one’s memory hole, full of jubilant and joyous sentiments and overwhelming positivity throughout.

Evoking ambrosial notes and feels throughout, reminiscent of spending life affirming time with top friends in exotic locations and holiday house music splashing in corals. You only live once; ensure it’s spent enjoying tunes like these loaded with carefree abandon. Telfort’s In A Good Place right now…

Gabriel & Dresden Announce New Album, ‘Remedy’ - Gabriel & Dresden return with their third artist album ‘Remedy’, out 17th January 2020 on Anjunabeats - New single ‘Keep On Holding’ with Jan Burton; available now - Watch Gabriel & Dresden’s Group Therapy 350 set on YouTube now The next chapter in the story of GRAMMY nominated duo, Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden is Remedy.

Their third full length artist LP, it’s an album inspired by the comfort we can find when wrapped in nature. Fresh from performing to over 12,000 fans at the O2 Arena, Prague, as part of Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 350 celebrations, the duo continue to refine their emotive, indie-spirited approach to songwriting, the star of 2017’s acclaimed ‘Only Road’ LP.

Once again partnering with their dedicated Kickstarter audience for the production of the album, ‘Remedy’ champions their collaborative approach; Sub Teal (Brittany O’Neil), Jan Burton and rising star Centre provide their vocal talents, while a legion of ardent backers lent their ears and opinions to the project.

Making it's mark during the Anjunabeats North America tour last spring, ‘Keep On Holding’ is the latest single from ‘Remedy’. Linking up once again with U.K.-based singer Jan Burton, voice of much-loved G&D tracks ‘Dangerous Powers’, ‘Enemy’ and, more recently, ‘You’, ‘Keep On Holding’ has a darker tone. “We are honoured to have Jan Burton join us once again with his iconic voice. ‘Keep On Holding’ has been a staple in our DJ sets all summer long.”

Hear this new single and more in Gabriel & Dresden’s ABGT 350 set, recorded live in Prague. A whirlwind trip through their catalogue past, present and future, the set includes the euphoric ‘Coming On Strong’ and ’Something Bigger’ (feat. Sub Teal), both lifted from Remedy.

Gabriel & Dresden ‘Remedy’ is available to pre-order now on iTunes and the Anjuna Music Store, with ‘Keep On Holding’ and ‘Coming On Strong’ available now on all platforms. Available in digital, CD and sustainable vinyl format, ‘Remedy’ will be released on the 17th of January on Anjunabeats, with news on Gabriel & Dresden’s international ‘Remedy’ tour to follow in the coming weeks.

One day, deep in the night, these 3 dudes, walking in the night, decided to meet up the day after in the studio for a session in the night.

“In The Night” is the result of that night where everything was recorded in just one take in the night.

The night after, talking with Francesco Farfa on the phone while he was hangin in a night club, these guys just asked straight if he was available to do the “In The Night Mix/Version” of “In The Night” by In The Night.

The resume is that in just 24 hours “In The Night” was born.

Balance Music have always been on the pulse of cutting-edge music, from their original series with James Holden and Phil K to the incredibly unique talents of Henry Saiz, James Zabiela, and Max Cooper.
Balance presents Sunsetstrip is the next plateau of concept mixes. Featuring 33 tracks by established, and new producers, such as DAVI, Khen, Brian Cid, Navar, CID Inc., and more, plus a host of exclusive original collaborations, where we transverse multiple genres, and tempos, all under the steady hands by one of the most highly regarded DJ in the industry today.

"Sunsetstrip is a tribute to the energy, light and vibration going on at sunsets. It's an album based on the shows I've been doing for years in places like Woodstock 69 in the Netherlands, the Big Playa at Burning Man, boat parties around the world, and recently at Punta del Este in Uruguay, along with the polo fields in Buenos Aires, Argentina." - Hernan Cattaneo

There are certain DJs that need little introduction, and top of that list is Hernan Cattaneo. Lovingly referred to as 'El Maestro' by his legions of adoring fans, Hernan has, over the last 30 years, carved a career that eclipses all others. Fascinated by the synth-pop and post punk of the 80s, Hernan quickly discovered the futuristic sounds of dance music coming from Detroit and Chicago. Completely consumed by his new-found love, he progressed naturally to DJing. It was his life-changing residency at the epicentre of Argentinian club culture, Clubland in Buenos Aires, that he was catapulted into the global sphere by long-time friend, Paul Oakenfold.
Over the years, his forays into the CD compilation market has enthralled, excited, and energised us. From those tentative first steps with Perfecto, through to the golden years of progressive with Renaissance, and then onto his groundbreaking Balance mixes, Hernan has always brought more than just a selection of upfront tracks, and his silky mixing skills. In his own words, Sunsetstrip represents a continuation of his legacy, by marrying his all-encompassing love of the music with his strong work ethic.

"These kinds of shows are a big part of my schedule every year, and doing this album with Balance is a great opportunity to showcase what are they're all about." - Hernan Cattaneo

From the opening bars of Darpan's 'Blessing', we are treated to Hernan in wistful reflection. Painting the perfect sonic tapestry, richly musical nuggets dovetail with consummate ease as El Maestro teases every last drop of emotion from each track. Soon, a malaise of joyous energy hypnotises you, as you travel with the soulful journeyman into the deepest realms of his imaginations.
Disc two sees Hernan in cruise control - the more familiar side of his DJing. The opening double from Mike Griego setting the scene well, as rubbery bass, and lightly tribal percussions whisk us off to wonderland. Easily shifting through the gears, things really get going midway as the sun sets and the music takes on a different meaning. Wildly original, deeply personal, and ever so good, this is one rollercoaster ride you can take again, and again, and again.

Early support from: Brendon Moeller, Jeroen Search, Truncate, Session Restore, Samuli Kemppi, Mary Velo, MTD, Markus Suckut, Etapp Kyle, Mattias Fridell, Thomas Hessler, Hydergine, SeHou, Jorn Kershot, Plural, Patrick Gil, Dimi Angelis, Adam Rivet, Isolated Lines, Invite, Rafaelle Atanasio, Unbalance, Lilith La, Myk Derill, Gonzalo MD...

MUSAR introduces a new artist into its already stellar fold with the arrival of a new EP from Tokyo-based DJ and producer, Hoshina Anniversary.

Hoshina's previous releases on labels including Volvox's Jack Dept. have earned him support from a wide range of DJs including Laurel Halo, Lena Willikens, Young Marco and Veronica Vasicka.

'Zangai' is made up of three new tracks that play on Hoshina's influences from contemporary techno to experimental jazz, filtered through his Japanese heritage, coupled with a soaring remix from MUSAR associate, Ricardo Tobar. Throughout the trio, Hoshina Anniversary traverses a number of moods without ever sacrificing his innate sense of rhythm.

Lead track 'Zangai' is a rolling acid paean to the atmospheric ruins of Oda Nobunaga's Azuchi Castle, while a darker mood and texture defines the satisfyingly rubbery techno weight of 'Tenjin', translating as "deified spirit". Tobar expels the darkness at the centre to see the light for his buoyant remix, leading to the jazzy, high-tempo electro of 'Tenjou' to close the record.

It's often said that the gaps in between the notes are as important as the notes themselves. Stereo Underground pays homage to that attitude on his magical debut album, The Art of Silence, immersing the listener in widescreen atmospherics, succinct, spacious arrangements and stunning melody throughout. This wonderful record for Balance Music follows previous full-length artist albums on the Australian label from the likes of Clarian and Brian Cid.

Born in Haifa, in the North of Israel, the artist otherwise known as Yariv Etzion begin his musical life as a drummer, spending his younger years circulating in the city's hard rock scene. He discovered electronic music as a teenager when he moved to Tel Aviv, and soon began working at a record shop and DJing. His popularity rapidly grew, and production soon followed. His output as Stereo Underground began 2009, and in his debut year he received high praise from Mixmag and heavy DJ support for his hypnotic, progressive sounds. The project has always shown a great sense of musicality and ambition, and this full-length debut album is the natural culmination of his efforts over the last decade.

"An album, in my opinion, is the holy grail for a musician" he says. "I waited 38 years to give myself the peace of mind I needed to do so. It took me 10 months of writing, recording, sound design and mixing to create the final result." That meant doing so in both the mental and physical sense. He took the decision to relocate to a wooden house in the countryside to create this stunning album, turning down incredibly high-profile festival bookings plus remix offers and release requests in order to dedicate himself to his vision. It's an admirable approach that has yielded dividends

From the conceptual, ambient tones of opener Flying Glow (Prologue) through to the spine-tingling, airy breakbeats of closer For A Moment of Truth, this is a record full of slow-burning nuance and hypnotic progressions that induce a dream-like state in the listener. There's mellow piano tones on The Art Of Silence, Moderat-tinged indie/dance crossover on Little Red Head and trancey euphoria on Above The Sea Of Fog. Echoes plunges into deeper territory and Breakfast on Mars gives a hazy, beatless breather mid-way through.

'Following last year's release on NAFF, ANF hit the West Coast with four tracks of lush, trance-inducing digital bubblebaths on Pacific Rhythm. You might know this Montreal duo already: After lingering around under a different name, Dust-e-1 burst onto the scene last year with two 12-inches of blazing junglist workouts, while Priori has established himself as a keen collaborator, partnering with the likes of Project Pablo, RAMZi and Ex-Terrestrial. Their work together as ANF is some of their most distinctive, and on Mauna Kea the two producers explore the outer reaches of their sound, going on an expedition through pulsating acid lines, blood-rushing breakbeats and cosmic synths, with melodies that linger long after they're gone.

The title track is a sleek and slippery acid-flecked cut charged with hints of progressive house, while "State Function" looks back to the Sputnik missions of early '90s Biosphere, with floating breakbeats and space shuttle chatter. The other two cuts are primed for the chill-out room, the after-hours kickback or any place where there's a lava lamp and a beanbag chair, from the hand percussion-driven groove and celestial pads of "Mary Lynne" to the leisurely breakbeats of "Chi-Motion." All four tracks offer rich, space-age techno to take your dance floor somewhere in the past that feels like the future.'

Rhythm From label is back for a second release. The concept: to highlight electronic producers from the club scene of the same city around a single vinyl. The very first opus presented Toulouse, city of the south of France. This time, the second release is dedicated to the Irish capital, Dublin. On A side, you will discover two young producers very talented and who deserve to be known. Dylan Forbes to start with, and his terribly effective track
on the dancefloor, followed by the more progressive track of Bernad's Son somewhere between happy melancholy and Indian summer. On B side, make way for two figures from the Irish House scene. Quinton Campbell continues with a piece of disco sounds and classic House, then Adamant closes this vinyl with a track very effective and devastating groove. Finally, discover Small Bear's track (download only) as a bonus track, perfect for the dancefloor.

Infrasonics presents the second part in Spatial's three-part series Emergence, encompassing music and digital art. Early support has come from Machinedrum, A Made Up Sound, Mosca, Mumdance, Ekoplekz, Hodge, Ben UFO, and Beneath among other DJs. Focusing on the progression of intensive rhythmic phrases arranged in multiple layers, these rhythms seek an active neurophysical response by experimental means, as opposed to familiar patterns derived from genre. Both pieces are emphasised and systematically developed in the bass, to outline a narrative assimilable in terms of basic neurophysical functioning preceding musical understanding. In terms of generalised meaning, Reanimator' is primarily characterised by an alertness to the emergence of new possibilities, as well as suggesting a desire for experimentation in fields with ambiguous potential. Tensegrity' is characterised by a mood of tension in response to a large but otherwise unknown event rapidly approaching. It is further characterised by the difficulty involved in strategizing in the face of uncertain conditions. Coexistent with its application inside the framework of club-DJ-audience, the work is presented within a multidisciplinary approach. On the 12' vinyl a URL is printed as the only information. This leads to track information alongside an evolving visual work hosted on the web. These visuals are generated by a genetic algorithm, a mathematical expression of the understanding of genetics and evolution implicit in modern biology. It's pressed on heavyweight 180g silver vinyl and housed in a printed transparent sleeve. Emergence part 3 is forthcoming later this year.

Cool but warm are the attributes that apply to what Carsten Rausch presents on the latest Acker release.

Originally released in 1992, Klasse Wrecks remaster and re-issue this piece of forgotten proto-prog for 2018. Tribal stompers unite!

Szymon Hollner is a talented young producer from Poland. In 2010 he released two EPs on Relax 2000, a sublabel of the highly reputated Snork Enterprises. Szymon has a really unique style and refuses to take part of the ruling fashions. A lot of guys pretend doing it, he DOES! This is no mainstream, no consensus, this is FUNKY underground shit.

UK duo Gorgon City have announced the release of their brand-new album 'Escape'; the eagerly anticipated follow-up to 2014's 'Sirens' (70, 000 UK copies sold) which was the subject of worldwide acclaim thanks to productions including 'Ready For Your Love' ft MNEK (63 Spotify million streams) and 'Go All Night' ft Jennifer Hudson. Laced with a flurry of the pair's latest tracks, including 'Go Deep', as well as 'Hear That' feat D Double E, and upcoming single 'One Last Song' with JP Cooper and Yungen, 'Escape' showcases Gorgon City's sonic diversity, ranging from more downtempo summer chill-out anthems, to more club-ready productions, influenced by the duo's gruff basslines, and deep house inspired chords. The album also contains last summer's whopping hit 'Real Life'; a Balearic anthem they created with Duke Dumont which became the soundtrack to the Ibiza 2017 season, earning a spot in the UK airplay Top 10. Released on CD jewelcase and a2 x heavyweight black vinyl, spined sleeve, printed inner bags, download card
