He explains, "most of them were recorded in the second half of 2020. I had just quit my full-time job and found myself with much more time and energy to be creative, the majority of the songs came to life during this period." The album's collection paints warm dreamscapes and expansive textures, an affirmation ofGuy Contactfurther refining his craft. He treads effortlessly between acid-stained techno, dreamy braindance and trancelike downtempo that acutely grip the neural network.

The LP takes off with it's anchor90 Mile Straight (Nullarbor Mix),a rhythm driven cruiser that sets the tone for the record. The artist then produces an IDM imprint with the remainder of the A side withEarth HydrosphereandFeel the Feeling.

Hoshina Anniversary returns to MUSAR Recordings under a new cloak, Shifting Gears.

Toyko's Hoshina Anniversary has risen to particular prominence in recent years with his self-titled brand of 'Watechno'. Stylistically fusing traditional Japanese instrumentation with Chicago and Detroit sensibilities, his works have found homes on ESP Institute, Young Marco's Safe Trip and Amsterdam-based MUSAR Recordings.

Landing on the latter, MUSAR, little over a year ago with 'Zangai' EP, Hoshina returns under a new cloak, Shifting Gears, to present 'Evil' EP.

Named after the 1975 'Gears' LP of jazz and hard bop organist, Johnny Hammond, the Shifting Gears moniker focuses heavily on principles of Jazz and raw musicianship, with a continued exploration of machine-reared club sounds. How the two can take shape as one.

Across 'Evil' EP, Hoshina's native culture remains, as heard on 'Miyatsukomaro', where traditional Japanese strings harmonise with crisp hats and jazz keys. Inspired by the early works of keyboardist and composer, Bob James, all is underpinned by intrinsic Chicago synth work.

A recurrent theme throughout, the Chicago vibe most notably takes hold on title track 'Evil'. An insidious
march, the floor-pummeling kick and shoulder-tickling toms marry seamlessly with dracula-esque chords and dizzying piano arrangements. Nodding to the mischievous bassist Jaco Pastorius of jazz fusion band, Weather Report.

Informed by the pacey creations of a revered duo, The Brecker Brothers and the 70's rock music that soundtracked Hoshina's youth, opener, 'Senor Senorita' wraps swathing reverb around a raucous melody and jiving percussion. Meanwhile, the seedy 'Syndicate' closes out amid eerie synth sneers and quirky, funk-flecked modulations.

Following his latest contribution to Innervisions Limbo compilation and a personal EP on TAU, Skatman returns to his home of Scatcity Records.

This release defines Skatman's current artistic direction as well as his vision for the future of his label and the melodic scene. We see him bring his sound forward as a more minimalistic approach to the deep and melodic sounds that have shaped him over the years.

Skatman’s mission is to bring back the integrity to the sound he loves, taking it to a new level and triggering a change of direction within the niche that is melodic electronic music. The name ‘Aromanticism’ is a reference to the revolutionary aspect of the realism movement that happened as a reaction to what dominated art and literature in the age of romanticism in the 19th century.

Dylan Forbes is a man of sustained grooves. But for the next release on Haŵs, the Irish DJ producer deviates slightly from the sounds of his previous back-catalogue to investigate the idea of collective ideals from the solitary walls of his lockdown studio back in 2020. The resulting output is ‘Mind Expander’, an idiomatic release of club-orientated house and tech tracks marbled with introspection and the hopeful craving for dancefloor unity.

The opening ‘Ride The Flange’ jumpstarts the engine with an emphatic house beat, sitting beneath swathes of misty synth lines that trip over each other in their eagerness to peer into the void beyond. ‘Mind Expander’ takes the pH back to 1, with acidic iterations, delicate chimes and a protracted build up that yields a sense of broadening thoughts and augmented senses.

On the B-side, ‘Searching’ slots together gruff, probing basslines beside melodic contours that seem to dance together with a subtle rapport like two figures treading the verge between companionship and intimacy. ‘Take U Over’ intensifies the euphoria for the close, assembling a prog-inspired motley crew of synths, reverbed soul vocals and breaks to gently charm the traveller back down from the 4-track ride.

It’s said that reality exists in the human mind, and nowhere else - so let’s make the shared journey worthwhile.

The EP is a perfect example of the diversity of styles he covers, from 4/4 to breakbeat with a very unique blend of spacey trance sound which is a trademark of his productions.

A side opens up with Storm, an emotional excursion into Vlad’s art. Nostalgic synth lines evolving into a hedonistic dancefloor banger.

A2 is Roosblom, a kidnapping tune that brings you to a dystopic world when new forms of life are trying to surface.

On the flip side, we have Toevlug, the most introspective piece of the EP. Melancholic sounds and robotic sequences create a dreamy aura while the sneaky breakbeat held up the tension.

Skarrel closes the EP with a ruthless 4/4 beat combined with a gloomy atmosphere that finds its climax on the break. That’s pure madness in a big sound system.

Panorama EP could be considered Erta Ale’s personal homage to the early 90's progressive house . Repetitive patterns, infectious bass lines and emotional chord progressions cooked together with precise rhythmical structures as well as featuring short vocal loops and acid lines typical for that time. The intention from Erta is to bring the crowd back in time and far from intellectualism and negative trips, in a place and time where dancing, dreaming and positive feelings were always present on the dance floor. Side B features an impeccable remix by the growing talented Italian duo we.amps, who as usual deliver powerful and tasteful dance floor tracks.

A1 - Warm uplifting and infectious groove coming from OG Zlatan. Hypnotic delayed melodies blended with a solid and punchy baseline, striking pads, tight drums. All the ingredients for the club at nearly any time.

DMC - The Big Mac. This is a journey throughout, playful and creative Switching up and moving from one place to another, a track to really get a party started with.

Bowyer’s addition to the release “Collecting Mice '' uses the foundations of a plodding bassline, chunky drums and floating pad, decorated by a coating of chirpy synths and effects. If you find your cat has brought home a mouse, slap this one on your turntable, and you’ll catch that cheeky little rodent in no time.

B2 - closing out the record Matteo. brings us a groover filled with warm acid stabs backed up by the baseline to keep you locked, complimented by the dreamy pads and a clear old school feel, it’s the type of track that could slot in anywhere.

As his label marks it's 60th release, Lost & Found owner Guy J returns with his brand new EP. Guy's modus operandi performs superbly with themes which would otherwise risk sounding aimless and decadent. His range is thrilling, thoughtfully arranged even in the thickest of textures, never heartless, blunt or unbalanced. Both in his harmonious and production statements, Guy J leaves nothing indisputable. Each frequency is analyzed. Each note adjusted.

Following his previous excursion Patterns EP, Colyn returns to Afterlife with more interplanetary sonics.

The title cut merges a rubbery low end groove with a cacophony of cosmic FX and a robotic vocal clip. ‘Wait For You’ feels like a cybernetic ode to lost love, with a stirring melody and heartrending arrangement. ‘KL427’ and ‘Lightyears’ are a little more pensive, blending emotive composition and compelling rhythms to tantalise your body and mind.

Moments are not just a series of events but also the music label and the brainchild of Guy Mantzur. So far, all of the releases by the record company have been mind-expanding and eye-opening. Attention to detail keeps the A&R in a constant search for the next big thing, drawing attention to the artists playing at the events. The new two- track material hardly comes as a surprise. It is always great to have Guy J behind the decks, and when it comes to his jaw-dropping audio production, he's in a league of his own. The River is a piece that opens the release, and Guy J joins forces with Astrix in building a new visionary sound. Many producers reach the point where they have too many great tracks to fit into a live set. Astrix reached that peak twenty years ago. And then he just kept producing with even more passion. Famous for his eruptive trance production and praised by critics and fans, Astrix delivers an extra dose of psychedelia, stretching the borders of genre classification. The closing track, Tree of Life, is a solo piece by Guy J, displaying his latest studio techniques. However, the material is far more than just an ear candy for the audiophile nation. The nine-minute arrangement skillfully takes the listener into the unknown, exposing the deep emotional power along the way.

Idris Bena comes back on his own imprint with a darker sound, for this beautiful Renaissance EP.

There is a culturally and perhaps spiritually bonded link between electronic dance music and what could be called most generally ‘the feminine divine’. In subgenres more oriented to trance and EDM, the vocal sample or progression is almost always uttered by a woman, unlike the variously-sexed divas of house; if divinity is invoked, it is less often a biblical God than some Gaia-derivative. Radiant Love’s fifth release, Goddess Within by the Montreal-based producer Maara, steps into this lineage stretching from Magna Mater to disco queen – Maara’s articulation of the feminine divine, however, is often off-hand, ringing at once sincere and deeply cheeky.

The double-side is summed up by the first track’s title, 'Goddess Within (Give It To Me Daddy)', which starts right off with a pumping bassline, carbonated synths, and a repeating sample speaking ‘goddess’ – what trance dreams are made of. What places these tracks especially in the realm of dream are Maara’s washes of delay, reverb and pan, drawing out melodies and textures into trails, clouds, blurs. The sonic fields are decentered, but driving and floor-ready regardless. 'Mommy’s In Trouble' follows up with a set of cleverly phased hi-hats and a swung kick drum. It’s a buildup we’re hearing, although one wouldn’t know until a sample asks us matter of factly, ‘Notice what you’re feeling. Are you calm?’ and the bass swings back in.

The B-side begins softer, with the wide pads of 'Plum Plum Paradise' eventually dropping into a downtempo break. The percussion is muted, and what gives the track its body is a shifting terrain of sample (‘Allow yourself inside, the time and space right now’), gurgling synth note, windchime and whisper. Goddess Within’s final track, 'Lezzies In A Jacuzzi' picks up the pace again, with a porny bass-throb, insistent hi-hats and a vocal fragment looping the word ‘amor’. This is exactly the kind of sound that would have me thinking on the dancefloor, Is she actually saying ‘amor’? Quickly I would reach the decision that it didn’t matter – the whole terrain of the actual, the explicit and undreamed is best left to masculinity anyways.

Distinguished Utrecht-based duo Tinlicker (Micha Heyboer and Jordi van Achthoven) have revealed that their forthcoming album ‘In Another Lifetime’ is out spring 2022 via independent record label Anjunadeep. Written during lockdown, ‘In Another Lifteime’ was heavily influenced by Tinlicker’s experience of the past two years. Reflecting on the album name, the duo explain; “These last two years saw the creation of a parallel universe in which human beings had to reinvent themselves whether they wanted to or not. We experienced a lot of lows in this process, but also beautiful highs - in some moments it felt like everything was about to slip through our fingers, while other days the process brought a lot of peace. For us, the title ‘In Another Lifetime’ captures this journey.” Featuring eleven previously unheard tracks and an ensemble of vocalists, ‘In Another Lifetime’ reflects this dichotomy of highs and lows. Whilst invoking the familiar Tinlicker sound of powerful progressive house, the album also explores tangential styles of electronica, deep house, and melodic techno. Tracks such as ‘Always Will’ featuring Nathan Nicholson and ‘You Take My Hand’ featuring Jamie Irrepressible are characteristic of the duo; masterful compositions of fervently driving percussion, considered synth design, and hypnotic vocals that make for darker, memorable club anthems. Other tracks, such as ‘I Am Free’ and instrumentals such as ‘Healing Forest’ and ‘Just To Hear You Say’ convey a less conventional approach from the duo, where they favour breakbeat arrangements and brighter melodic elements. The end result is an album that reflects Tinlicker’s artistic and personal growth. Champions of forward-thinking sound design and dynamic songwriting, Tinlicker members Micha Heyboer and Jordi van Achthoven combined their storied musical backgrounds in 2013. Quickly it became clear that Jordi’s polished pop and house production was a consummate match for Micha’s deep sonic palette - a quality he honed as a member of drum and bass group Black Sun Empire. Tinlicker released their first studio album ‘This Is Not Our Universe’ in 2019 via Anjunabeats..

In 2021 during the coronavirus pandemic, Gene On Earth created his production masterclass “Nuggets: The Blueprint”. This is the first part of a collection of works submitted by students shortly after finishing the course. Nug-Net will continue to be a home for music written by course students.

Euphoric acid techno EP paying tribute to Scotland’s notorious Club 69 and Rubadub crew.

Long and wild like the club that spawned them, each track runs at over 10 minutes. The a side is a peak time basement rave tool while the b side will direct you to the chill out room.

Originally released on Holistic Recordings in 1994, all tracks have been remastered by Mike Grinser and officially licensed by Transmigration.

Savy Records welcomes rising talent Slak to their roster with the multifaceted 4-track EP 'Trilogy of Reasons', the third issue from the innovative and fast-growing label. The Berlin-based Italian producer's 90s' influences shine in opener 'I See The Light', a jubilant acid techno bomb built on groovy 909 patterns, deep Detroit-influenced chords and a hypnotic 303 riff. The more esoteric 'Confusion' throws out plenty of hooks via arpeggiated synth lines and warm distorted kick drums, while 'Reasons' delivers a slow-building dystopian energy - full of slamming breakbeats and euphoric pads, it's perfect for warming up a dance floor. Rounding up this bright, energetic and atmospheric EP is a remix from another Berlin-based artist, Adlas, that weaves together playful futuristic rhythms guaranteed to take you far into another dimension.

Rare Warehouse find

With its 3rd release on the ERROR100 Series, System Error showcases Italian producer Otis, who delicately produced 5 club orientated tracks pulling influences from acid to trance, yet preserving a strong sBerlin based label System Error ignite their 2021 with further mind stretching material, this time they call on Otis to take on the role of master of operations. The “Cocoon Of Fantasies & Illusions” EP meanders across five tracks, touching on refined strains of techno, electro and breaks built for the rave.

“Taking Control” is built to take command of a club space, all of the elements working in harmony, to make a well rounded intergalactic trip. Straight Electro flow in “Just A Game” laden with acid squelches, the title of the track rocking back and forth via a mysterious vocal sample, a sense of nostalgia with elements from the past.

Opening the B side is “Inborn Archetype”, a chunky affair, jam packed with action. Huge drums ground the track as emphatic driving synths, and pads take the track to another level, ready to go to war. Riding an elastic sub heavy bass line is “Anima”, playful and curious. “Wreaks Havoc” is built around distinctive 90s breaks energy, with acid tones ricocheting from every surface. The shortest of the tracks but certainly packs a punch.

ERROR103 coming in strong, setting things up for what is set to be a prolific year for the System Error imprint, several releases already scoped out for the year, curated by known affiliates of the label, and some fresh names. Dance music from the future. System. Error. ense of house music.

‘Silver Surfer’, ‘X O Surf’ and the ‘X O Surf remixes’, big tunes from the dance floors of 1993 will be rereleased via Violent Drum Recordings on September 4 2020.



The Deep, was the alias Matt Frost and Pete Diggens recorded under from 1993-1996.



Frost and Diggens released a stream of vinyl on own imprint Violent Drum and finished when Matt and Pete were discovered by Andrew Weatherall at Sabresonic which led them to sign to Leftfield’s Hard Hands label in 1997 as Dark Globe.



‘Silver Surfer’, ‘X O Surf’ and the ‘X O Surf remixes’ were created over a series of weekends in ’93. When you listen to the record you can hear Frost and Diggens try to create the sound of waves amongst the beats, they were also influenced by tracks like Pink Floyd’s 20-minute epic ‘Echoes’.



Pete Diggens: “With Silver Surfer, the idea was to create a dance floor tribute to our favourite childhood Marvel super hero. We decided to create a suite of epic tracks on the surfing theme, Silver Surfer involved us bringing in an African friend who was a talented percussionist to play conga’s. He came along with his Brazilian girlfriend and we asked her to record some vocals whilst she was in the studio.”





Violent Drum’s output connected with dance music lovers worldwide, tracks made it onto compilation albums, featured in the charts and sets of the top DJ’s from all over the world. DJ’s such as Colin Dale, Ninja Tune’s Matt Black, Joey Beltram, Billy Nasty, Fabio Paras, Leftfield, Dave Angel, Darren Emerson, Carl Cox, DJ Three, Sasha & Digweed, Terry Farley and the man everyone looked to at the time, Mr. Andrew Weatherall regularly played Violent Drum vinyl.



Original vinyl copies can still be found on the second-hand market, for a hefty price. The duo regularly receive requests from fans around the world to find spare vinyl copies of ‘Silver Surfer’, ‘X O Surf’ (featured on an R&S compilation), ‘Your Nemesis’ and ‘Mondo Scuro’ (cited by many as the first ever ‘Breaks’ record pioneering the genre). Unfortunately, stocks of these ran out years ago and current labels regularly request to re-issue the tracks.

Barcelona-based DJ, crate digger and producer Lis Sarroca makes her debut on Shall Not Fade's coloured vinyl series marking the tenth release on the imprint.

Taking influence from her extensive travels - before lockdown hit - Sarroca mixes classy 90s house rhythms with standout melodies. No Wait EP follows on from her 2020 release on Hot Haus Records. Sarroca describes her music as "danceable, energetic, deep and warm", an ethos reflected throughout this EP. Despite dabbling in variations on dance music, stripped back disco to punchy tech house rhythms, this record is accomplished and consistent, coming together to deliver memories of sweaty summer club nights. "No. Wait" references French filter house, pairing a chugging bass and booming kick drum with sparkly disco keys into one very sultry track.

In "La Neta" Sarocca turns her attention to electro with the squelching bassline and drum machine loops but uplifting chords bring it back to house roots. There's a little bit of Kraftwerk in "Round & Round", a hypnotic pulsing track with synths of a distinctly German sound palette; it's the darkest moment on the record.

The B-side is expansive feel-good house, "Hi Montana" plays with dramatic strings while "Get This Right" is a certified summer anthem of sharp chord stabs and clean bassline made for the beer garden. No Wait closes with "AX", a piece of fun cowbell-smattered organ house.

This unique Malta-based record label is back with another brilliant 12", exploring high-quality with a spotlight on the magic within the grooves. As his record label marks it's 70th release, Guy J proceeds with his own charming material. Vinyl's advantages surpass its sound, embodying the record as a focus of the audio-visual enjoyment which makes this a musthave for fans of deep techno, hypnotic house and ambient electronica. From the opening sounds of "Beast Of Sea", it's evident that something remarkable is happening. Guy exposes an amazing rhythm patterns, trance-inducing ambience and rich audio palette in"Catfish", which progressively ascends into an ecstatic culmination. Describing abstract states of mind, Guy exhibits these tracks as an intimate display of emotions, finishing with a chill-out version of "Aurora", redefining the genre by pushing the frontiers of imagination. Altogether, this is impressive music-making!

"MDQ is named after the airport code of Mar Del Plata in Argentina," says Guy. "I played there with John Digweed earlier this year at MUTE. It's a party on the beach and, for me, was the best I've been to in my life and not just as a DJ." MDQ beautifully recreates and projects the warmth of the sun, uplifting vibes and postive energy that Guy felt on the sand that day. Its melodic charm and passionate delivery lifts the listener, transporting them to that most southern of shores.
Diagonal, on the flip, was born more out of necessity. "I needed something with a transitional feel for my sets. A track that would allow me to segue to the next part, up the tempo and deliver a more groovy and seductive magic." Another delicious brace from the Lost & Found boss and a perfect selection to soundtrack the new year.

The producer's third EP for Innversions following 2019’s releases ‘Fool’ and ‘Karma Baby’, Jimi Jules refers to the first surviving animal sent into space for his latest EP “Ham The Monkey”. With a speed of 4,500 km/h, the four year old monkey “Ham” was the first living being fired into the atmosphere. A journey against his will. Shocked by the essence of ‘macabre’, Jules reflects the feelings and sounds felt from being trapped and out of control throughout the tracks - notably in “Grumpy Monkey” and “Tinnitus".

Albums often try to evoke a time and place, few manage to do that with such startling effect as the unlikely collaboration, Leave the Bones, between the multi-generational Haitian band Lakou Mizik, and Grammy-winning electronic music artist Joseph Ray. “Haiti'' is a word that conjures up a lot of images, it is a country judged by many, most of whom have never set foot on its shores. But its history is rich, its people proud and defiant, and nowhere is that more evident than in its music. Culture is what defines the country - its drums and Vaksins (traditional horns) are symbols of freedom and pride, liberty and struggle, and represent the escapist joy of dancing. Leave the Bones paints a musical portrait, a fresh glimpse of an oft misrepresented country, that through Vodou chants, chest-pounding Rara dance tunes and contemporary protest songs, conveys the listener to Haiti’s spiritual heart, a place that remains a compelling mystery for foreigners and a source of pride for every Haitian.

Tripped-out, leisurely house and breaks comprises the next drop on Haŵs, and for the established Welsh imprint, number 13 is far from unlucky – in fact, it’s coming in as ecstatic. Perth producer Guy Contact takes the reigns for ‘Euphoria Simulator’, a 6-track EP radiating with all the charm and optimism of a liberated future.

Opening the first of four house tracks, ‘Into The Blue’ makes light work of bass melodies and fresh kicks, bouncing skywards as though emerging from a thinning fog into a clear day. ‘Nice 2 B Free’ is imbued with touches of sentimentality, pouring outwards like the laissez-faire movements of a serene dancer entwined within a group of friends. The eccentric ‘Whip Crack Cowboy’ takes the camaraderie of country twang into a colourful new world, mediating psychedelic guitar strings into harmony with synths and a cathartic house beat.

On the B-side, the titular ‘Euphoria Simulator’ doubles down on the bass but keeps its overall ride light and airy, dipping between piano, synths and rhythms warm enough to breathe emotion into a cold room. The final two tracks untether from their house confines: ‘Amphibian Pool’ dubs down into a hypnotic, marine-level drift, elongating croaky basslines alongside punchy breaks and acid lines during its descent. Buckle in and prepare the spaceship for take-off, the next serving from London based ‘Nuances de Nuit’ has landed, following the same four-artist format and high energy, dancefloor-focused cuts as its six predecessors.

Kicking things off is DJOKO with Feed Me - a punchy, groove-laden slab of forward-thinking house music that is sure to ignite any dancefloor. Following up is something that could easily be mistaken as coming from an obscure 1994 Italian record, but instead is Bogota based Nicolas Duque with Thumb Stopper, a slick blend of bouncy basslines and blissful organs. On the flip is Occibel’s Rocket, a high-tempo cut filled with twitchy modulated stabs and a mid-track switch up that’s best enjoyed in a packed room with strangers. Straining the boundaries of electronic music once more is the innovative, Varme imprint. The futuristic label have been constructing a reputable platform in recent years, propelling underground sounds. For the sixth release they call on Colombian beatmaker, Buraye, four unique tracks that blur the lines between genres, all boasting direct dance floor energy that packs a punch

Kyiv label Criminal Practice presents its foremost, the third compilation of dance smash hits. The release starts with the sharp and slightly ruffian track "Underground Legends" by the duo Virtual Reality, which consists of the co-founders of the Ukrainian label - Ghetto Sunrise and Roma Khropko. Then it's time for invited guest Kebab Traume and his composition "Tribe" - full of acid and raw tribal energy.

The B-side immediately adds intensity with the creation of another participant in Criminal Practice, Vlad Stuparenko. His "Engel" is an explosive mix of underground tech-house with proper acid notes, convincing and functional. It, in turn, resonates as much as possible with the final track of the compilation - "Kinetic Hearts" by Roma Khropko. No_4mat is an NYC nightlife staple, and can probably be found lurking around the city’s nightclubs and dance floors on any given weekend. But he’s also a bit of a tech nerd, drawing inspiration from nostalgia for the early internet era. 'Ianua' is the stage name of Filippo Midali, a 360 degrees electronic musician that sweeps primarily from techno, electro, breaks, jungle to Chicago footwork with a stable contamination from HipHop culture and scratch, the art of vinyl manipulation.

The self-titled album, his debut album, fully represents this, moving from track to track between various musical genres. The name 'Ianua', 'door' in Latin, comes from the idea of the multiverse and inter-dimensional doors; this is depicted on the cover, on which the front represents the door distorted by the journey through space and time and the back, together with the titles, the sketches and formulas of the presumed door- building scientist.

UFC Records back with their second release with a four tracks Ep produced by label´s co-ower R.I.P. Bestia. The four tracks are original tracks produced between 2020 and 2021 years. Side A of this EP contains two tracks more oriented for the dance floor, like "Chordal Constellations" where the psychedelic electronic of the 90's is fused with the minimal sound of the first 2000's and "VCO Ray”, where vocoder vocals are mixed with deep techno lines.

On the other side the Ep opens with "Khae!”, psychedelic breakbeat-techno accompanied by ethereal vocals, to finish with "VCO HardCore Foundation", a piece of breakbeat influenced by the Nu Skool Breaks that ends in an acid and breaks explosion.

After featuring a track on Dixon's Transmoderna EP and releasing his debut EP "Virtuality", we are delighted to welcome back Echonomist with his „Night Versions EP" for our first release in 2021.

Last year wasn't very gentle with dance music and even the most striking and elaborate club tracks unfortunately had to give up some of their shine, which makes "Our Last Night” all the more impressive with its reduced atmospheric beat and catchy melancholic vocals. In collaboration with Mironas (aka. Myronas Stratis), who lends his voice to the track, they created an emotionally driven and heart-rending music production.

"After the recent success of their latest studio album - 3.0, Croatian outfit Cortex Thrill are back on Bonzai plastic, 26 years since their last Bonzai vinyl release with the 6 track - 3.0 Vinyl Album Sampler.
Still in the throes of celebrating their 30 years on the scene, Ivo T. Montina, Sven Gleda and Robert Grizilo make up Cortex Thrill, and together, they dug deep to create this legacy project across 3 different studios using video conferencing. They used new production and mastering techniques which shows their dedication and drive to move with the times. Back in 1994, fresh faced and full of energy, Cortex Thrill were signed to Bonzai Records and several top-notch 12’s soon followed as they carved a niche on the scene in just a few short years. Live P.A.’s all across Europe, propelled them to a bigger stage, playing at top events including Bonzai party’s Loveparade 2002, Vibe, Fantastica and Unite-Parade to name just a few. They’ve released over 50 vinyl records and just as many digital releases. It was Ivo who, after a couple of decades since they last graced Bonzai Records, decided to send some of their new, modern material to Bonzai Progressive. Four new releases followed, along with a raft of remixes for other artists. But Cortex Thrill had remained active throughout the late 1990’s and 2000’s, releasing several singles and two albums on various labels, and collaborating with a host of top producers. They have a unique sound containing elements of tech house, trance and progressive house. Co-incidentally, this latest adventure on wax features a contemporary remake of Deep Infinity, one of their bigger tracks which also appeared on their last vinyl release for Bonzai Records, the 1995 cut titled, Infiltration EP.

This 12inch is packed with deep, undulating rhythms laced with magical melodies and driven by surging basses. Each track has rich characteristics that set them apart, yet they share common traits with mesmerizing charm. On the A-side, we have the fresh progressive grooves of Quantum Pulse, Levitania and Stela Manis. On the B-side, the new progressive sounds continue with Eternia and Singularity, while the classic musings of Deep Infinity gets a 2020 makeover.

The Jerusalem-born, Tel Aviv-based producer Roy Rosenfeld has a reputation as one of the last true leaders of the authentic club culture and this release proves that his talents stretch even way beyond that. With a mind as distinctive as his soul, though, Rosenfeld puts that nostalgic structure in a globetrotting artistic framework which makes everything both familiar and innovative. His creative ability to respond to the context according to the circumstances is impeccable. Accordingly high are the expectations of a producer of his caliber, but those expectations are more than met by the groundbreaking opus found on this 40-minute material. The title track floats on a cool Middle Eastern ambience with a sophisticated late night theme exposing those seductive traces of piano wandering, while the sequencing throughout the album is handled perfectly. One might think a genre only has so much potential to be taken to new places, but Roy doesn't feel that way. This unique release includes two guest artists - Guy J and Eli Nissan, making this new release even more special. Guy J and Roy Rosenfeld have joined forces to create 'Aroma', an album's peak, and one that deserves to reach a bigger audience. To make everything better, Eli Nissan jumps in with an awesome conception into the track 'There' with his peculiar hypnotic vibes. The transcendent mood is maintained throughout the album. The styles may vary, but the feel is profound and trance-inducing. It is a synthesizer album with a difference, an inner journey detached from the outside world. Dive down the rabbit hole!

Marvin & Guy and Dj Tennis are back with the fourth volume of their Life of Marvin imprint after the infamous repress from Roby J, Sick Hardcore (aka Gabry Fasano) and Model Citizen on the first 2 volumes, real pieces of art in the Dance music produced in the early 90s from these Italian legends, originally released on Franco Falsini’s Interactive Test record label, and after Dj Miki’s outstanding full dedicated EP in 2018.

On this 4th installment we can see the return of Miki with the track “Templares” (TEMPorary Low Audible RESonance) together, for the very first time even if they are colleagues and friends since 30 years, with another heavyweight better known as Francesco Farfa with the track “Peace Treaty”, both remastered and originally released on Interactive Test.

If you think this is it you’re definitely wrong, there are also 2 remixers, one for each track, responding to the names of Roman Flügel and Gerd Janson & Shan. It goes without saying that these gentlemen did a superb and highly respectful job. Quality at its best!

Four new original songs from Nachtbraker with intricate percussion and melodic arrangements. Diving deep into Nachtbraker's wicked mind, each tune has a healthy dose of weirdness.

Title track "Bay Be Blu" tickles the endorphin receptors with its euphoric melodies and 'Stranger Things' atmospheres. The second track leans on soothing warm synths gliding over a dub bass with tight drums. In addition, attentive listeners will hear Nachtbraker's personal field recordings on the beaches of Barceloneta. When the record is flipped one finds herself in "Tangelo Dreams", a mid 90's, Pacific Records inspired jam with a driving baseline. Rounding off the record is "Drip", a track drenched in unconventionalism and oddities.

Over the past decade, he became one of the innovators of the underground electronic dance scene. This type of masterpiece has the power of changing the dystopian mood of a pandemic era into the essence of utopia. Budakid's collaboration with Jamie Stevens is a perfect continuation of the construct achieved with the first track and manages to remain the flow even deeper. This self-explanatory two-track work of art is nothing but mind-blowing and will impact numerous artists to try harder.

Back at the beginning of 2018, Wolf Müller and Niklas Wandt went head to head for a box office smash, throwing a high school percussion tray, wall of hardware and voodoo skull into the ring for the tribal trip of ‘Instrumentalmusik Von Der Mitte Der World’. Now the multi-instrumental duo face off once again, but this time it’s a royal rumble with Phazer Boys, Suzanne Kraft, Phillip Otterbach and River Yarra all bringing the noise to the Glowing Pin.

Müller and Wandt dominate the action on the A1, playing loose with sampler vox, serene pads and future primitive rhythms on the unreleased ‘Fun Dub’ of the also unreleased ‘Dub Dub’. Imagine Ferris Bueller’s trampoline tumble trading Chicago to the Weissenhof and you’ll sense the mood of this New Age groove. Germany’s number one party dudes, those freaky Phazer Boys take a break from dropping killer Candomblé cuts to reach for the lasers on the A2, taking ‘Ahu’ to another dimension. Dripping in neon body paint and armed with fire poi, the Düsseldorf duo power up progressive house sequences, didgeridoo bass and thumping tribal house percussion for a wall-shaking, speaker-breaking remix.

Welsh DJ Sasha is active since the late ‘80s and achieved much success, both as a solo artist as with John Digweed. On his fourth release via the sporadic yet impactful TLFT imprint, the producer retains his playful touch as he delivers three bright, optimistic dancefloor vistas that shimmer and shine like sunbeams off a dappled ocean. “As Though It Were” immediately injects energy and light into our minds and bodies with its candescent bass riff and catchy three note melodies. Synth-strings are arranged with perfection, hinting at a brave New World full of compassion, love and unity; while its driving and buoyant beats urge us into a hips’ n ’shoulders workout comparable to a high-octane gym session.

“It’s A Phase” is as finely crafted a piece of Telfortian house as one can hope for. With a direct and rugged B-line, peppered with light perx and decorated beautifully by one of Telfort’s trademark, textural synth patches. It’s further garnished by a dreamy, weaving lead solo that should draw heartfelt feelings of desire and nostalgia out of all who experience it.

“MSR Dub” completes the session and deep bass plumes and breathy flute melodies give us Big feelings as we floor the speedboat’s accelerator and splash across the rollers and swells at max speed. There are certain DJs that need little introduction, and top of that list is Hernan Cattaneo. Lovingly referred to as 'El Maestro' by his legions of adoring fans, Hernan has, over the last 30 years, carved a career that eclipses all others. Fascinated by the synth-pop and post punk of the 80s, Hernan quickly discovered the futuristic sounds of dance music coming from Detroit and Chicago. Completely consumed by his new-found love, he progressed naturally to DJing. It was his life-changing residency at the epicentre of Argentinian club culture, Clubland in Buenos Aires, that he was catapulted into the global sphere by long-time friend, Paul Oakenfold.
Over the years, his forays into the CD compilation market has enthralled, excited, and energised us. MUSAR introduces a new artist into its already stellar fold with the arrival of a new EP from Tokyo-based DJ and producer, Hoshina Anniversary.

Hoshina's previous releases on labels including Volvox's Jack Dept. have earned him support from a wide range of DJs including Laurel Halo, Lena Willikens, Young Marco and Veronica Vasicka.

'Zangai' is made up of three new tracks that play on Hoshina's influences from contemporary techno to experimental jazz, filtered through his Japanese heritage, coupled with a soaring remix from MUSAR associate, Ricardo Tobar. Throughout the trio, Hoshina Anniversary traverses a number of moods without ever sacrificing his innate sense of rhythm.

Lead track 'Zangai' is a rolling acid paean to the atmospheric ruins of Oda Nobunaga's Azuchi Castle, while a darker mood and texture defines the satisfyingly rubbery techno weight of 'Tenjin', translating as "deified spirit". Tobar expels the darkness at the centre to see the light for his buoyant remix, leading to the jazzy, high-tempo electro of 'Tenjou' to close the record.

It's often said that the gaps in between the notes are as important as the notes themselves. Stereo Underground pays homage to that attitude on his magical debut album, The Art of Silence, immersing the listener in widescreen atmospherics, succinct, spacious arrangements and stunning melody throughout. This wonderful record for Balance Music follows previous full-length artist albums on the Australian label from the likes of Clarian and Brian Cid.

Born in Haifa, in the North of Israel, the artist otherwise known as Yariv Etzion begin his musical life as a drummer, spending his younger years circulating in the city's hard rock scene. He discovered electronic music as a teenager when he moved to Tel Aviv, and soon began working at a record shop and DJing. His popularity rapidly grew, and production soon followed. His output as Stereo Underground began 2009, and in his debut year he received high praise from Mixmag and heavy DJ support for his hypnotic, progressive sounds. The project has always shown a great sense of musicality and ambition, and this full-length debut album is the natural culmination of his efforts over the last decade.

"An album, in my opinion, is the holy grail for a musician" he says. "I waited 38 years to give myself the peace of mind I needed to do so. It took me 10 months of writing, recording, sound design and mixing to create the final result." That meant doing so in both the mental and physical sense. He took the decision to relocate to a wooden house in the countryside to create this stunning album, turning down incredibly high-profile festival bookings plus remix offers and release requests in order to dedicate himself to his vision. It's an admirable approach that has yielded dividends

From the conceptual, ambient tones of opener Flying Glow (Prologue) through to the spine-tingling, airy breakbeats of closer For A Moment of Truth, this is a record full of slow-burning nuance and hypnotic progressions that induce a dream-like state in the listener. There's mellow piano tones on The Art Of Silence, Moderat-tinged indie/dance crossover on Little Red Head and trancey euphoria on Above The Sea Of Fog. Echoes plunges into deeper territory and Breakfast on Mars gives a hazy, beatless breather mid-way through.

For Phonica's landmark 25th main label release we present the latest 12' from Will Saul.

Will is known to many as the man behind Aus Music and prior to that Simple Records as well as an excellent recent mix for the highly respected DJ-Kicks series. If that wasn't enough to keep him busy he has produced a sizable back-catalogue for his own labels and the likes of Kompakt, Buzzin' Fly and Systematic.

Will's relationship with Phonica goes back a long time, as a core member of staff he worked in the shop in its early days and needless to say, we've been following his career since day one, so it feels right that he returns to Phonica, though this time as an artist on our main label.

A prolific producer, he's explored everything from Micro-House and Minimal Techno to Deep House and Acid. For the 'Lakeside EP', Will unleashes three peak-time House tracks, starting off with the anthemic 'For Joanie' and its heartfelt vocal loops, onto the uplifting and euphoric 'Drama' before rounding the record off with the late 80s electro-pop vibes of 'Never Enough'.

'Following last year's release on NAFF, ANF hit the West Coast with four tracks of lush, trance-inducing digital bubblebaths on Pacific Rhythm. You might know this Montreal duo already: After lingering around under a different name, Dust-e-1 burst onto the scene last year with two 12-inches of blazing junglist workouts, while Priori has established himself as a keen collaborator, partnering with the likes of Project Pablo, RAMZi and Ex-Terrestrial. Their work together as ANF is some of their most distinctive, and on Mauna Kea the two producers explore the outer reaches of their sound, going on an expedition through pulsating acid lines, blood-rushing breakbeats and cosmic synths, with melodies that linger long after they're gone.

The title track is a sleek and slippery acid-flecked cut charged with hints of progressive house, while "State Function" looks back to the Sputnik missions of early '90s Biosphere, with floating breakbeats and space shuttle chatter. The other two cuts are primed for the chill-out room, the after-hours kickback or any place where there's a lava lamp and a beanbag chair, from the hand percussion-driven groove and celestial pads of "Mary Lynne" to the leisurely breakbeats of "Chi-Motion." All four tracks offer rich, space-age techno to take your dance floor somewhere in the past that feels like the future.'

Rhythm From label is back for a second release. The concept: to highlight electronic producers from the club scene of the same city around a single vinyl. The very first opus presented Toulouse, city of the south of France. This time, the second release is dedicated to the Irish capital, Dublin. On A side, you will discover two young producers very talented and who deserve to be known. Dylan Forbes to start with, and his terribly effective track
on the dancefloor, followed by the more progressive track of Bernad's Son somewhere between happy melancholy and Indian summer. On B side, make way for two figures from the Irish House scene. Quinton Campbell continues with a piece of disco sounds and classic House, then Adamant closes this vinyl with a track very effective and devastating groove. Finally, discover Small Bear's track (download only) as a bonus track, perfect for the dancefloor.

Infrasonics presents the second part in Spatial's three-part series Emergence, encompassing music and digital art. Early support has come from Machinedrum, A Made Up Sound, Mosca, Mumdance, Ekoplekz, Hodge, Ben UFO, and Beneath among other DJs. Focusing on the progression of intensive rhythmic phrases arranged in multiple layers, these rhythms seek an active neurophysical response by experimental means, as opposed to familiar patterns derived from genre. Both pieces are emphasised and systematically developed in the bass, to outline a narrative assimilable in terms of basic neurophysical functioning preceding musical understanding. In terms of generalised meaning, Reanimator' is primarily characterised by an alertness to the emergence of new possibilities, as well as suggesting a desire for experimentation in fields with ambiguous potential. Tensegrity' is characterised by a mood of tension in response to a large but otherwise unknown event rapidly approaching. It is further characterised by the difficulty involved in strategizing in the face of uncertain conditions. Coexistent with its application inside the framework of club-DJ-audience, the work is presented within a multidisciplinary approach. On the 12' vinyl a URL is printed as the only information. This leads to track information alongside an evolving visual work hosted on the web. These visuals are generated by a genetic algorithm, a mathematical expression of the understanding of genetics and evolution implicit in modern biology. It's pressed on heavyweight 180g silver vinyl and housed in a printed transparent sleeve. Emergence part 3 is forthcoming later this year.
