Lazare Hoche Records push forward into 2014 with a brand new three-track EP from the collective known as Mandar. The three-man crew is made up of Lazare Hoche himself, along with his good friends Danish producer Samuel Andre Madsen and Dutchman Malin Genie. Those familiar with Lazare Hoche Records will recall that Mandar have already appeared on the label on I Don't Sync So Vol.II with 'Fouad' and 'St Eustache'. The 'Width' EP is the product of their continued working relationship; late-night studio sessions fueled by junk food, analogue gear and their combined passion for music that comes from the heart and soul. Across three tracks we witness the trio bear their souls on a collection of raw, uncomprimising music that refuses to subscribe to the latest trends. There is no bandwagon jumping here, just pure unadulterated club music. Take A-side 'Naughty Mandar' for instance, with its stripped down, barely there percussion and unrelenting bassline which trembles below softly swirling pads. In the background lurks the hushed whispers of a male vocal revealing his love for house music, it's dark and melancholy yet instilled with a feeling of hope. Title track 'Width' wastes no time in providing some bounce, kicking off with an energy which is maintained from start to finish. Sharp snares cut through celestial pads and jovial analogue stabs provide a bright juxtaposition to the morose bassline. Finally, '808 Ruffneck Business' lives up to its name aiming straight for the jugular with its minimalist composition - it's all about the beats.

Pressed for Time are back and this time it's personal. That's right - four original, mouthwatering slices of deep and dancefloor beats with a side order of hi hats and snares. Ant Plate aka YSE kicks things off with the slick beats of 'Tomorrow's Yesterday' which is a throwback to the glory days of Chitown - think tough, relentless drums, chunky 909 snare fills, deep rhodes chords, hypnotic melodic riffs and a memorable spoken word vocal sample.

Ben Boe aka Madd Maxx Traxx debuts with the serious tech-house grooves of 'Lake Shore Drive' complete with crunchy drums, filtered pads and a low bassline. Label heads Rhythm Plate chip in with 'I, The Music' which is a proper old school deep house gem with 97% swing. Warm up anthem in the making.

YSE finishes the EP with 'Sidehacker' which mixes old and new school house FX to effective effect. Bleepy juno bass sounds, deep chords, weird harmonics and a rolling vibe.

Nail provides the lead track for FOF's latest vinyl only excursion - originally produced in the same time period as the classic tracks on the 'Ode Rammel' reissue ep earlier in the year, 'Glazed' lay dormant on one of Nail's DAT for many years before being rediscovered and given it's first airing now on FOF. Chunky roughed up house beats are the order of the day here, a real peak time groove. New talent 'Harry McCanna', resident at London's infamous 'Undersound' nights, debuts with 'Act 1', a beautifully subtle bassline driven groove that rises above the pack with it's super warm pad lending the track a warm and fuzzy hypnotic edge. Romanian talent 'Zece' kicks off the flipside with the most contemporary offering; a breakbeat laden groove with a fx laden vocal snatch underpinned by that all important b-line. 'Sonodab' rounds things off with a beautifully deep and melodic slice of electro on 'Brown Study', the percussive elements giving rise to a hazy melodic pattern for those early hour excursions.

Sneaky Music is the new imprint from Andy Bird, the man behind the infamous Love Fever parties, and producer Ranacat. To kick off the new label they've chosen Silk 86 to roll out the honours with an EP that showcases Silk 86's evolution from the well received Clear Waters debut on Manucci's Mistress. The Pleasure Venture represents a compelling package of crisp production meets gritty warmth with a splash of that 80's sleaze. The Pleasure Venture EP leads with "Felicity", a production oozing with warmth from the offset. Hypnotic vocal cuts pepper throbbing pads and bass stabs giving way to a meandering melody that weaves in and out. On the flip, "The Exchange" fuses classic percussion of the Windy City and a zig-zagging pad sample hinting at low slung 7am sleaze. "Nightdrive" is when the freaks come out, as Silk 86 hits eerie vocal snips to a twilight swansong that will disorientate and delight.

Sisterhood release their second EP for Tief Music following their hugely successful 'Call Me Ishmael' 12" in 2013. Tunnels features three original tracks showcasing the London based duo's versatility and maturity as producers with Bicep reconstructing the title track, morphing it into a punchy, bassline focused roller with piercing atmospheric pads!

DJ JUS-ED is a man of action and trys to be professional and kind to everyone. He loves music. He loves people. He is open minded. Negghead and Lex Wolf form Acid Mondays and together the two have released music with 20:20 Vision, Circus, Deep Vibes and Illusion Recordings. Illusion give Acid Mondays the full treatment after the duo's Salvia Sessions 12" from last year sold out almost instantly. Smith, who appeared on the original 12", provides an additional 'unreleased' remix while Deepblak label head Aybee's 'reshuffle's' the original, burying it deep in chords and reflective vocal delays. Not to miss out on the production action Acid Mondays provide their own East End dub to Watching Eastwood and invite Z Records producer Dan Goldman to play keys over the top as JD73.

This artist from the New York imprint MISTER SATURDAY NIGHT has been making huge waves after his debut EP and his remix for FOUR TET. On his second 12" he brings two mixes of this tune with the A-side holding down a sweet deep house mix while the flip bangs out a relentless techno mix. This is hot!

Use of Weapons 5 lands noisily in your back yard with five house marauders hotter than Salma Hayek eating a hot apple pie. Five different artists bring the bacon: label heads Deep Space Orchestra remixing themselves, ex-Cosmic Boogie overlord Asok, Perseus Traxx, Other Worlds and Wet Play executive board member Ruf Dug. Don't forget to bring a towel.

It's only so long before Liam Geddes becomes a name you'll start hearing on the worldwide underground stage. Having already churned out a number of uncompromisingly deep house tracks over the past couple of years, he comes armed with another exceptional EP on MIL - the third release on the new Music Is Love sister label - that further demonstrates his genuine dynamism as a producer. The With Closed Eyes EP should win this very talented producer the recognition his fresh beat work deserves Into the Wild gets proceedings underway; a ripping bassline paves out over rattling percussion shakes while oscillating dream like jingles play out during the course of the track. Chopped vocal samples are introduced and tease against the shuffling drums which elevates the track with real drive and groove. Close Ya Eyes for the Journey packs the same layer of heat with its similarly groove-heavy bassline - a staple of Geddes' well-crafted sound. Firmly footed, intermittent chimes seep into the track and are complemented by siren-like chords which grow truer in presence, until a hypnotic vocal snippet fulfils the deep terrains of the track. A Saint is a tumultuous techno-fused roller with it's rip-roaring bassline and percussive loops which rhythmically swing out over shuddering pads, sustained chords and a cut up female vocal, brining a twist of colour to the arrangements of the track. There's a keen sense of tension and release, elevating this above your average and confirms Geddes does depth and darkness with real conviction. Broke will surely prove a high point for any decent DJ set, and sounds like a cut you'd expect from someone like Delano Smith. Strings faintly play out over looped key chimes and a funk-like riff, while ticking hi-hats and a careful use of vocal sample gives the track extra heat, each element powered by the rumbling bassline.

One to watch Ibellini makes an imprint with his brilliant debut 'Wide Soul EP' on Crosstown Rebels off-shoot RebelLion. Title track 'Wide Soul' is intensely mystifying with a deep bass, warbling synths and warmth flowing through the atmospherics. Following suit 'I Dream Of Funk' unfolds on a more uplifting tip with powerful melodies, solid groove and layered synths. On the B-side Desolat favourite Guti remixes 'Wide Soul' taking it deeper and more rolling for the early hours of the morning. Rounding off the EP 'Milk & Honey' is exactly the type of track you'd love to hear at BPM festival or Burning Man, luscious and hypnotic with plenty of grit and groove.

Bassam Ibellini started mixing records from a very young age, playing parties by the time he reached the age of 14. Living in London in 2006 he managed to secure a residency at Cuckoo Club which still stands to this day. Ibellini's musical direction at Cuckoo helped influence booking some of the biggest names in electronic music.. Damian Lazarus, Jamie Jones, as well as playing back to back sets with Seth Troxler and Guy Gerber.

Ibellini set out to put his stamp on the scene, creating the 'Peculiar' parties, which are held at warehouses across the east and west of London, cultivating a loyal following and booking the biggest names in the business. This year Ibellini has played at the likes of BPM festival in Mexico and at WMC where he played a memorable set at Get Lost.

Argentinian Guti is extremely accomplished as a producer and live artist. His releases can be found on the likes of Crosstown Rebels, Desolat and Supplement Facts.

After remixing Chupacabra's "the bigger man" for us already in 2006 the Oslo label mastermind and our dear friend Federico Molinari is now releasing his first solo single for our label. Federico has been constantly upgrading his studio over the last two years and by this of course also has gained even better production skills. Combining modular Sounds and lots of effects with his own very well structured and characteristic rhythms can be described described as his new way working. We think that he is doing great and truly hope that you like his stuff as much as we do.

Tough tom-driven rhythms and a resounding vocal hook
set off a soaring synth crescendo. Heater: Big rig classic
techno vibe with a huge synth line, ricochet drums, and
a break that brings the heat. Tension Wire: Enveloping
kicks, booming percussion, and sparking claps are met
with a surge of energy for electric rooms.

Love Fever, the infamous and erogenous East London discotheque and record label returns with some late night works in the form of Ron Jason and Kim Ann Foxman's 'The Dream Project EP'. After Ron Jason's Paradise Garage evoking and much played "Paradise Lost" (with Love Fever regular Larry Heard remixes) caught the ear of label bosses Alex & Andy last year with its depth and sincerity, Ron was tracked down, discovered as Italy's enigma Simoncino and connected with Brooklyn's fly girl and modernist diva Kim Ann Foxman to explore possibilities in house. The outcome is a raw 5 track EP drawing inspiration from classic Chicago house with the Master C&J evoking "M", a Blue Jeans interpretation on "R" and a melodic yet somber lead Track "E" where you find a modern bassline chugging below analogue synth lines and Kim's individualistic approach to vocals. The record pays hommage to an era in house lost, deepest Chicago and New York with a not so subtle dedication to long time friend of Ron's, Dream 2 Science. With water droplets and sexual intensity harking back to early 90s masterpiece 'My Love Turns To Liquid' on "A".
