Every label needs a strong summer release and we're pretty sure we found ours for this summer.
From the very first second we heard this demo from Stockholm based producer Claes Rosen (1/2 of dubstep duo L-Wiz) we knew this would be one of our fave releases on Local Talk.
Seriously, its a real beauty!

With a slight r&b touch, melodic chords and thumping house rhythms both tracks have that perfect contrast of soulful deepness and an uplifting feel.
On the a-side Daydreaming is a club friendly track with a bumpy house rhythm and smart r&b samples...the perfect summer tune!
The b-side with Wonderful is exactly what is says it is...wonderful!
It's deep soulful house at its very best and music that puts a smile on your face every time your hear it.

After dropping the hammer with Blunt Instruments killer Hold Back EP, Dungeon Meat are back again debuting on their own label with the brain mincing Lose Your Mind EP.

Both sides deliver big swings of their mighty axe and hit hard with their signature sound of meaty beats & beefy basslines. Aimed straight at the dance floor it's obvious both the tracks have the intention to crack some skulls and spill some brains. Already road tested by Tristan da Cunha and Brawther at their D.J gigs & their D.M. live show, the reactions have shown that both of these tracks hit the chest and do the damage. As usual though we won't bother describing them, breaking tracks down to each part and trying to use words where they usually fail .... instead we'll let the music do the talking.

Also included are two "tools" so the creative DJ's out there can get busy in the mix and give their sets a little meat injection. Again you vinyl lovers are treated to deluxe 180gram vinyl with embossed company sleeve dressed to impress with the trademark Dungeon Meat artwork.

Interstate 101 is an important highway running through California and Mexico. It is sometimes called El Camino Real (The Royal Road) as its route follows closely the old route used by the Spanish missions. In some parts of California, it might be designated as « The Pacific Highway » or « The 101 ». Within the years, pieces of this road have been renamed and it has been truncated to be replaced by a more recent Interstate 5. Like the Interstate 101, Electro is a music genre that connects different countries, different people. It has also been truncated, changed by technology and often renamed. Nevertheless, this Royal Road, that has been influencing the world of electronic music for more than 30 years, still remains as a way out following its path on the margins of a crowded and commercial junction.
This is what Jeremy Cottereau, aka Djedjotronic, wanted to illustrate in this compilation. Most of the tracks have been composed exclusively for the album, by some of the most renown names of the genre : The Hacker, Maeltrom, Glass Figure, Jensen Interceptor, Mikron, Defekt, SCNTST,
Hoshina Anniversary, CWS, Noob, Voiron, Miss Kittin and himself. All the artists featured have come across his journey within the last years. They form, as he likes to say, his musical extended family.

Starting in 2004 with 'Made Within The Upper Stairs Of Heaven' and 2008 with 'Toinen', Lindblad has a tendency for symmetry, and now with the release of 'Third Encounter' in 2012 is no coincidence, just a scandinavian way of saying good things take their time and it's worth the wait. Analog synthesizers, sequencers and tape decks are something which are widely used in todays electronic music, but it is the mixture of the old and new - keeping the tradition of live jams instead of pre defined arrangements, choosing high standards in fidelity but keeping the rough feel to it - these elements together keep the sound of Sasse one step ahead of the competition, and why he is considered to be one of the most consistant producers in the scene. While 'Fingers Inc' and '707 Heaven' pays homage to the gold era of Detroit and Chicago house, songs like 'Analog City' and 'Fantazy' brings memories of the mid 90s Sasse material, true Deep House as it used to be done. While 'Alpha' and 'Der Groove' takes a naked live jam approach to how to abuse analog goodies, 'Low Slove' and 'Treat Me' are raw sample based tunes, perfect for a late night dj-set. The album Third Encounter showcases the 20 past years of Klas Lindblad as a musician, dj and sound engineer, one who's seen most of the modern musical styles evolve and dissolve. Always relying on the basic principles of Electronic Dance Music that less is more, Lindblad brings another fine full-lengt artist album out, surely to be considered his finest work til today.

An artist with a slew of solid releases behind him on respected labels such as Skylax, Black Key and Ragrange as well as his own label, White Rabbit Recordings, Giovanni Damico gets ready to launch a 3 track EP on the Midlands based outfit, Artful Division, the third in their
catalogue so far.
The EP as a whole has a very jazzy feel to it underpinned with Latin rhythms and percussion creating an undeniable groove throughout.
This is supported with classic Rhodes keys and textured synth melodies adding harmony and emotion to the fluid movements of the drums and
bass underneath.
An accomplished and classic sounding release from a serious rising talent providing a superb debut for the imprint, Giovanni Damico's "Meanwhile, It's Alright on Saturn" is released on Artful Division in
April 2014.

The ever-laudable Futureboogie Recordings welcome back label favourite Hackman for his 'Change My Life' EP. Through releases on Well Rounded, Ramp Recordings and Greco Roman, Hackman has continued to successfully diversify his sound. Despite this evolution, an anchor has remained firmly set in his consistently muscular bass tones that work as a stamp on his material.

Following up his 'Bruh Jackman' project with production partner Jabru - his first solo release on Futureboogie certainly bears this stamp along with arresting vocal lines and some effective melodicism.

'Change My Life' emits a fervent air with warming Rhodes tones nestling in amongst yawning sweeps and synth-swapping motifs. Irresistible R&B vocal lines create a compelling contrast against a thick and forceful kick. 'Lost From Me' wades in with Hackman's signature bass-tones rumbling beneath as shimmering melodies decorate the corners of the mix. Delicately melancholic vocals carry a finale quality as they shine out and pull on the heart strings.

'We Make Delicious' immediately feels the more rugged of the bunch with more golden Rhodes tones swimming in amongst seductive vocal lines and a crystalline ride. A tough and varied bass pattern pins things firmly to the dance floor whilst minor-key patterns maintain a brooding tone throughout.

The DeepLabs imprint releases it's fourth record with a killer collaboration between label CEO Luke Hess & FXHE label boss Omar S. made specifically for the dance-floor! Automatic Night brings you a classic analog excursion - a perfect blend of Detroit Techno & Detroit House. Outerspace Drive reaches for space - sure to be played by all future space travelers who wish to boldly go where no man has gone before. Let's Ride!!!

Making their first appearance on the label, Venezuelan deep house masters Sergio Munoz and Israel Sunshine aka Fur Coat are the next to release on the mighty Hot Creations. Title track 'There's No Time' sees the darker side of the talented duo for an epic experience on the dance floor with deep growling basslines complemented with powerful electronic keys and dramatic builds. On the B-side Hot Creations favourite wAFF delivers a stellar and storming 'Warehouse Remix' picking up the pace with added vocals and percussion, packed with all the sonic energy we have come to expect from the young producer. Last up the Fur Coat duo deliver another golden original. 'Together' takes it deeper once again with a rumbling bassline and hypnotic synths and keys flowing through the layers to stimulate the senses.

Fur Coat previously remixed Russ Yallop's 'The Crossroads' followed by their debut EP 'Space Ballad', featuring an unforgettable edit by TEED. However it would be their release 'You and I' featuring vocals from Cari Golden that would put the name Fur Coat on the map. At the end of 2012 they released their huge debut album 'Mind Over Matter' on Crosstown Rebels, with further ventures on labels such as Bpitch, Rebellion, Southern Fried Records, Noir, Get Physical and My Favorite Robot.

wAFF has rapidly gone strength to strength in the past few years after being taken under the wing of Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Richy Ahmed. First coming to everyone's attention with the huge 'Jo Johnson' EP, wAFF has gone on to acquire a heavy touring schedule and his more recent 'Puke It Up' EP released on the label only cemented his career in the industry further. Alongside his home label wAFF has also been releasing and remixing for labels such as Cocoon Recordings, Resonance Recordings and Rinse.

Yoruba Records is honored to bring to you the incomparable Lady Alma. Coming from the roots of that Philly soul sound, quickly became synonymous with House Music. 2012's 'State of Flux' on Radio Slave's Rekids imprint was the last full-length from Mr G, along with his '
'Retrospective' compilation in 2013 the prolific British producer has spent the last four years delivering stand out singles on the likes of Running Back, Toi Toi and Don't Be Afraid as well as a renewed focus on his own, long running Phoenix G label.

The album itself is a sublime deliverance of the sound that has become so closely associated with the UK selector and artist - twelve raw & robust cuts that keep you locked from start to finish. Heidi gets set to release a pumping house EP of the highest order from one to watch Rob Amboule featuring industry legend Derrick Carter and Clone heavyweights Serge & Tyrell. 'Cracks' kick starts the EP with high energy, ounces of groove and an intoxicating bassline with Derrick Carter on vocals adding that perfect element. Next up 'Tension' continuously creeps and rises with soaring synths and a gritty electronic bline guaranteed to lock you in the groove. Serge & Tyrell bring their bumping house power to deliver a stomping remix of 'Cracks' like only they can and last up is original track 'Bank Holidayz', a whomping dance floor bomb to round off a very solid release. Londoner Rob Amboule is a classically trained pianist who certainly knows his way around a studio. After generating a great deal of underground hype through a critically acclaimed white label 'Kerri001, he released his debut EP on legendary Leeds label 2020 Vision last year. This next release continues his consistent run of form and with appeara ces on the likes of Boiler Room and Rinse FM already, we will be hearing a lot more of his name over the next 12 months. House legend Derrick Carter also featured vocal drops on Heidi's first Jackathon mix compilation. A big fan, Heidi crowns him as having the sexiest voice in the business. Serge is the owner and founder of one of the most respected labels around, Clone Recordings. Since the early 90s he has been one of the most influential DJs on the Dutch underground being well known for playing quality music and not conforming to trends. Alden Tyrell is pro in the studio and spends a lot of his time mastering music for Clone and it's sub labels. His music has also seen him take his live show on the road performing all over the Europe and the US.

Following on from their 'Seraphim / Firebird' single which picked up heavy hitting support from the likes of Seth Troxler, Skream and Steve Bug the multi-talented duo deliver a sublime offering in 'Worship', along with a deeper remix from Lance De Sardi. The impressive and unique artwork accompanying the release is based on a woodcut by What's great grandfather Conrad Felixmuller.
'Worship' pulsates into life through dusty percussion and shimmering atmospherics; Qzen's spoken word vox gracefully dominates proceedings for the most part (the words of which are taken from a poem by British poet Patience Agbabi) while mechanic modulations and a cosmic sh101 hook combine to dish up a warm off-kilter techno cut with an subtle yet infectious groove.
Lance DeSardi has built up quite the back catalogue over the last decade on labels such as Black Catalogue & Planet E along with his own imprint Legwork, as a close friend of Dan and James he steps up to remix 'Worship'. His re-imagining picks up the pace somewhat by resonating a snippet of Qzen's vocal uttering "straight to my heart" over shifting percussion, soft pads and whirring atmospherics which lend themselves perfectly to her silky voice in this excellent final offering.
