The latest emission from the 2020 Midnight Visions camp comes from Bristol's Behling & Simpson.
Producers, label owners and general men about town, Behling & Simpson are familiar faces on Bristol's bass music scene with 6 years of experience touring the globe as DJs and over 100 previous releases between them (under various guises). Having honed their production skills and in need of a new challenge, Behling & Simpson are now in the business of crafting fresh and original house cuts, dropping the tempo to allow space for highly swung drums, RnB-esque vocals and deep 808-bass.
They are part of the new wave of house music coming out of Bristol that has brought us Julio Bashmore and the fusion sounds of Applepips and Futureboogie, which are the two labels they have previously released on.
Their 2020 Midnight Visions EP showcases their love of a shuffley house groove, classic boogie influences and shows how to work the dancefloor without working the bpm. 'Closer' features the sexy vocals of Shanti Celeste, she may not say a great deal, but she definitely gets her point across over the bumpin New Jersey house grooves that recall classic MAW or Todd Terry on -8.
'Fuse Strategy' feat James Foxx fires up some deep bass with the slick house beats, which fits in perfectly with the Bristol sound, and 'Fuse Strategy' rounds off the EP in style with a deeper take on their sound.

After the success of Little Creatures 1st release, Luke continues his vinyl only journey with another self produced single.
This time he teams up with Roual Galloway from the legendary Faith magazine. Instigated by Roual, a rather unexpected studio visit from the enigma that is Cassio Ware.
You may know Cassio Ware from records such as Blaze's "Funky People" "Gettin'Hot on Movin' records, and Loose Booty on Easy St Records. This time backed by his touring backing singer Vangella Crowe.
The impromptu gathering was co-ordinated by Luke rustling up a Prince like backing track and then a few hours of jamming until they all struck upon something.
Luke then nurtured the record for a good 12 months and ended up with 2 versions. The original demo that the song came from, and the "wild mix" that has been causing a stir amongst the only four people that have had the record....Luke, Chris Duckenfield, Matthew Krysko and Jonny Rock.
An out and out party record that may just turn the heads and raise a shuffle from the cool kids.

Little to nothing is known about the mysterious producer and their track titles are just as vague, consisting merely of numbers.
The hype first began when an anonymous email was sent to several blogs stating, 'This is my new project, I want to remain anonymous and let the music speak for itself'.
Since that first track, there have been nine more originals and two remixes - all of which have been featured heavily online via the artist's Youtube channel (the only place his work can be previewed)
In a world where everything can be found in seconds, Unknown puts the mystery back into music - enabling some people to be in the know just by recognising great talent.
Unknown #008 (on the second 12" coming soon) was featured by Dummy mag, with Ellie Goulding picking up on it and posting it on her Facebook page. 17,000 hits on the track later the speculation grew, with the tracks being attributed to Skrillex, Four Tet & even Burial.
Unknown still remains unknown, a person with a hotmail account and a youtube channel.
With props from Dummy Mag, Fact, Boiler Room, Bicep and more, there is another EP soon and an album in the pipeline ...

Andreas Saag returns to Local Talk with a follow-up to his Back To Life EP, this time he's invited longtime friend and studio partner Cazuma Mori, together both of them offers the Local Talk fans house music with a distinctive production technique.
"Nostalgia" is a warm stomping basement beats floor-filler, with a fat bassline tempered by rising chord textures, smartly coordinated with the pulses in the track.
As the track evolves the kick drum charge forward the bassline making the chord an addictive and unforgettable hook.
Both Saag & Cazuma showcases their skills in tackling slower bpms too.
The B-Side "Can't Hide It" comes with intricate keyboard work and deep atmosphere that's driven by an appealingly on-point house bassline. The track picks up a new elements at just the right moment to keep you on board the whole 8 minutes.

The Organ Grinder made a lot of noise with his sought-after Obsession track late last year. His unique and raw blend of deep House and uncompromising beats perfectly fits 4lux catalogue so, here the Grinder serves you with 4 mighty dancefloor bombs. Smiley Face is a tough ravey club track with catchy vocals and blunt stabs. Project features a collab with Jessy Allen resulting in a mesmerizing tune. Universe is another pumping track reminiscent of early Belgium rave music but then in a true Organ Grinder club-vibe. Heaven is a smooth nugget with delicate strings, simple organ notes and atmospherical vocals.

Luke Solomon revisits his The Digital Kid alias late-November with the release of The Digital Kid vs The World 'A Minor Digital Experiment' on The Classic Music Company, an LP featuring all new tracks from Solomon, collaborations with Pezzner, Lil Mark and Bearweasel and a bonus mixed version. 'A Minor Digital Experiment' is the first of two Solomon albums in the next six months but is the only one which will see The Digital Kid alias applied and it serves as a parting shot for the alias, for now anyway. Debuting on Solomon's long defunct Acid imprint, The Digital Kid took a backseat as Solomon's career flourished into what it is today but the lure of binary proved too much earlier this year. 'I did this album because there was a few people I wanted to collaborate with so we got to work on some tracks.

The result of this journey can now be listened to during a car ride, or cuddling on a sofa or on a morning in a random trashed up Techno Cub. Despite the constant epic you can hear from the first tone that the music is about love in its highest level of purity. The B-Side is a classic hidden tune made together with MM (aka MM the grey eminence of Pastamusik whose real name we are not allowed to release) pouring tons of warm feelings over young and old - just the right thing for the upcoming cold season. PAM 15.5 is nothing less than a classic for everyone in love and those who want to be. 2012 has been a fantastic year for the label with an acclaimed serie of releases by Marlow, Matt Flores, Nowakowski & label guru Dairmount. We chosed to close the year with a very special project and we are very excited to share it With you.
Everything started during an early summer afternoon in San Francisco. Two friends were playing around in a messy studio full of Analog gear. The first hours didn't lead to any inspiration till they decided to take advantage of the old CV-Gate Technology to make Drum machines & synths "talk" between each others. The creative sparkle came out of the magic happening between the beloved TR606 and the SH101 and SH09. The 2 friends entered "the zone" for long hours & let their complicity & the randomness factor do the
rest. And if you know that the 2 studio freaks we are talking about are none others than the Canadian house legend Fred Everything & Spanish wonderboy Al Velilla, you start to get a fantasy about the monster you are invited to listen today. Dairmount was one of the
Very first pair of ears to discover it and it didn't take long to become one of these "instant signings" of the RWAV history.
"The randomness factor was really important to create this piece", explained Fred. "By sending the Gate out to the SH09, we were able To randomize the pattern of the bassline by choosing the notes on the spot while the rhythm of the sequence was kept tight by the 606.
The SH101 Sequence (the main sequence) was also randomized live switching the octaves up and down to give it some natural yet Unexpected life. By going in these different avenues of creation and adding more layers of synths to the final result, we ended up with
A truly original piece"
To celebrate this nice piece, the pair decided to call the track Blue Fish as a little tribute to the code name of Fred's rescued Husky dog
Who became his new studio member. This release will find a place of choice in both guys discography. After 20 years of production & djing and more than 100 releases & remixes on prestigious labels such as 20:20 Vision, Drumpoet, Freerange, Large, Seasons & his own Lazy Days imprint, founded 5 years ago, Fred is still on top of the game & touring the world intensely.
