Strut proudly presents the first definitive retrospective of one of the most influential labels and producers of Chicago house music, Cajmere and the seminal Cajual Records imprint, celebrating a huge 20 years of hard jacking classics and seminal US garage.
It started from a love of early Chicago house and as a hobby, piecing together tracks on a "sixty-buck keyboard, a cheap four-track and a cheap drum machine". Curtis A. Jones, chemical engineering student and long-time '80s video games obsessive, then left a Masters course at UC-Berkeley, returned to Chicago and unleashed his first DIY tracks in 1992 on the 'Underground Goodies' EPs for ClubHouse, setting the blueprint for his early raw, cut-up production style. Soon after forming his own label, Cajual (with the CAJ taken from his initials), he unleashed the madcap, bubbling groove 'Coffee Pot' (later re-titled as 'Percolator'), a worldwide club hit.

Already on the decks for a couple of years and a established regular DJ at Schwarzes Schaf (The Black Sheep) in Augsburg (along with Daniel Bortz), Dominik Marz now also shows his talent as a sensitive and highly talented producer.
After his resent debut on Leipzigs infamous O*RS label the 'Shmoozen EP is his first release on Pastamusik. Leon Holstein provided production support during the studio sessions.
The tracks stand out with relaxed and at the same evermore deeply moving tone.
While it sounds so effortless and easy, each of these three pieces contains a great deal of high tension that gets its audience inevitably into the mood to swing.
Dominik is on his way to provide lessons in creating lascivious beats and enchanting atmospheres which make us wait for his next emotional strikes.

After the original George Fitzgerald .Child' EP swept dance floors around the world earlier this summer, Aus return with a short and sweet set of remixes that pairs two producers who have proved integral to keeping things fresh in a world inundated with mediocre releases. Multi-monikered Dutch producer and co-head of 4 Lux Records, Gerd aka Gert-Jan Bijl, here dons his disguise as both Geeeman and NY Stomp to supply two trademark raw and jacking tracks, which have their roots firmly planted in the early 90s Chicago scene. Amidst a substantial crop of young producers who consistently turn out quality music, Gerry Read has forged his way to the top of many DJ lists, despite his young age. After readjusting his focus from the UK bass/postdubstep boom, he has applied himself to crafting deep, gritty house tracks that are poised to pioneer the way forward. This take of .LightsOut' is absolutely no exception.

Without revealing too much, this tasty sampler is a prequel to some very nice things ahead. For now, we can treat you to two Music Box inspired edit tracks. ... TIP!
First up is Derrick May's edit of Let No Man Put Us Under. An edit that he did in the late 80s, which was directly inspired by his trips to the Muzic Box, where he would hear Ron Hardy play the song. The edit only existed on an acetate, from which this recording was made, and marks a remarkable moment in dance music. One which marks the direct influence that Chicago had on Detroit dance music. Such a landmark piece, with the reverse parts edited in. Amazing stuff!
On the flip we find a track from another child of the Box, Gene Hunt's. 'Sound Drome' is an amazing building drum track that totals over 13 minutes (a shorter version was released on White Owl on his Maad release). This version takes direct influence from the Muzic Box and Ron Hardy with the a capella intro that Ron used to play as well. The real insanity starts 8 minutes into the track when the tempo is pitched down (and then back up). The kind of madness that only Ron would create on the dance floor. Turn the lights down low!

This autumn sees the respected Millionhands t-shirt company launch Millionhands Music with the fittingly excellent 'Breathe Easy' release from the MH main-man, Tom 'Mango' Mangan.
Starting in 2009, Millionhands has since become one of the finest providers of t-shirts around with collaborations with the likes of Tiger & Woods, MCDE, Mock & Toof, Planet E and Adonis bucking the record label t-shirt trend and becoming as quality as the musical output itself. Initially started because of an equal love of music and clothing, Millionhands now takes the plunge into music with Millionhands Music - a vinyl-focused label with a remit termed only as 'fine electronic fumblings and music that makes you feel something'.

Waze & Odyssey take a break from launching their own label, providing a guest mix for Skream and Benga's radio show and remixing the likes of TEED and Disclosure to return to Disco Bloodbath Recordings, where they provided a much acclaimed remix to the label's debut release, Damon Martin - 'That Ain't Right', earlier this year.
The two originals here, 'Love Attack' and 'She's A Hooker', continue where they left off, providing no-nonsense club trax with a nod to the past and an eye on the future. On the flip, Mark E delivers an outstanding remix, cross-pollinating 80s proto-house with vintage electronics and a distinct kosmische flavour to create a mutated, deceptively simple, dancefloor winner.

Nite Recordings' third 12" brings a amazing production by Deep Mariano & Yoshitaca together. This single gives us an original song called Oh Yeah! with a crazy voice sound and very fat bass line. In the other side of the vinyl we have a deep house song called Smog, perfect for warming every dance-floor. Also we have a remix from Fer Mariño of Oh Yeah! which highlights the crazy voice with classic 909 drums.
A must-have 12" that you can play a any time.

Following last years ground breaking DRM (Pt.1) single Visionquest's Ryan Crosson and Cadenza's Cesar Merveille team up to create a full length album that is the ground breaking heavily praised label's first album release. One Records once again stay true to their top quality ethos as they welcome back firm family member and Desolat favourite Hector, with his 'Stoned Raiders EP' - a journey into the deep and hypnotic, featuring killer remixes from the recently reunited H Foundation, young one to watch Samu.l and a digital only remix from Italian youngster Peter JD.
Originally from Guadalajara in Mexico, Hector Murillo followed his musical passions to London where he worked at the famous Phonica record store. Now living in the electronic capital of the world, Berlin, the talented DJ and producer has become one of the biggest names on the scene. After a string of releases and remixes on high profile labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Mobilee, Horizontal, Tsuba, Saved Records, Get Physical and Circus Company, Hector found his way into Loco Dice's Desolat crew. As well as being part of Desolat, Hector is a firm member of the One Records camp - holding a close friendship with both label bosses Subb-an and Adam Shelton.
For his second EP on the imprint Hector delivers 'Stoned Raiders' a dark and trippy ride into late night territory - packing plenty of groove and aimed straight at the dancefloor, with an alternative dub version rounding off the A-side.
Over on the flip, heroes of the West Coast U.S house scene and frequent names on the famous Siesta Records, Hipp-E and Halo aka H Foundation make their first appearance on the label with their remix. A heavy-duty dance floor monster, effortlessly raw with sharp kicks and industrial horns, there's no doubt this will do some damage, with it's sonic madness and trippy FX.
Birmingham's rising star Samu.l is back on the label since his huge hit 'Innocent' was released earlier in the year. His remix is deep and smooth yet powerfully driving, subtly building to kick in with dark haunting stabs in the final minutes and creating a whole new twist.
Last on remix duty is another familiar name in the One Records camp, Peter JD. He adds his classic touch, taking us on a journey into the atmospheric with ounces of warmth and the wonderfully layered synth patterns.

Our man SCNTST returns with his second single, giving us a small teaser of his upcoming Album. Inspired by Jersey Club , Baltimore, Breaks and big room Techno - a 'fusioned' version of all the good elements combined is to be found in 'Premelodic Structures'. This time the Munich-based producer focuses more on track constructions than on melody as the title already implies. The first track 'Not Sure' starts with a nostalgic voice 'You show me around' and turns into expressively techno composition with chopped up, dramatic synths. 'Da Bizzy Jump' and 'Let U Go' are two perfect examples of SCNTSTs eclectic style, where he's once more experimenting with Baltimore and Jersey Club kicks together with smart electro bass cuts. You know this kid has a knack for banger and literally lives up hisc name 'SCNTST". On the other hand you'll find the 909-Kick driven track 'Rhyhtm Sticks'. The result is a trappy percussion parade armed with a heavy sub-kick making it almost to an techno anthem. Obscure basslines, quirky ideas and strange sirens making 'Phisyq' to an ultimate rhythm track. The last track on the EP 'Emotion' is basically a suite in itself. It's overloaded with funeral synths and disapearing vocals. The deep UKG rooted sub-bass fits perfectly into the hollowing ambient and renders everything to a very profound track. Burial fans will definitely love this!

perfect summer open air groove, with additional vocals from Benjamin Franklin on the digital release (known from the voice of germany contest). the excessive B side starts with "Diss you" which is an guarantee for a great crowd reaction.
With "Quite storm" on BB you getting a kickless epic track with acid touch. last but not least on digital bonus comes the beautiful "smooth like silk" track. All together Butch did it again like every year on Cécille with a massive super

This is the last teaser before the release of the Kruse & Nuernberg Album "Let's Call It A Day", featuring, yet again, the beautiful vocals of Stee Downes. On Remix duties, we have Lazy Days regular Shur-I-Kan with two completely different flavors. His 80's vocal mix is a beautiful update of the original, speeding up the tempo for peak time play, while his 90's Dub is a straight up stripped down classic house re-work. First time on the label, we welcome Nathan G with another fine remix that can be played at just about any time of the night. Lastly, we have the original in all it's beauty, at its slower original tempo".

Telfort makes a hugely welcome return after the success-and-repress of his self-released debut, the aptly titled 'In A Good Place' and appearance on the slick Lionoil Industries imprint.The Edinburgh-based powerhouse makes a strong impression once again with a further hand-stamped, limited pressing of two stellar cuts. The tense emotional drive of 'Lickety Split'—where deep, colourful chords float and fold sublimely over a stomping club-ready foundation and penetrating bassline—conjures up images of a transcendent moment to be shared with friends and strangers be it at Robert Johnson, Corsica Studios, or an imagined open-air setting heavy on sunlight beaming through trees. On the flip we hear the dusty and melodic warmth of 'Snaps' exhibit Telfort's uncanny knack of crafting tough-yet-delicate grooves that mesmerise and enchant us.
Garnering notable support from the likes of Hunee, Axel Boman, Smallpeople, Bicep, Moxie, Krysko, Matt Karmil, Dan Beaumont, Fudge Fingas, Rroxymore and many more, the hotly tipped Telfort continues to carve out his own niche in house music with his inimitable mix of subtle rhythmic wisdom and guile.
