5 tracks of pure heat of various styles from members of The Black Lodge global family. A1 is entitled "Atmospheres" from the ever-talented Michigan producer JTC aka Tadd Mullinix Bopside/Nation/Ghostly. A2, entitled "Arreskni" comes from newer Chilean artists MU-GA, a track we released in digital format last year from their debut EP. Finishing off the A-side is Italian super-duo SONS OF TRADERS SOT/Frigio/Black Lodge aka Tans X Mike Tansella Jr. with the acidic cut "Indianapolis" also released last year by BL on tape and digitally from their first full length album entitled "Crollo Nervoso". Side B blasts off with the early Chicago house inspired track "Passion" by prolific Dresden producer SNEAKER Uncanny Valley/Rat Life/Frigio. Closing off the comp is a dirty warehouse banger/burner by e-spirit, a new alias from LA producer DELIVERY LA Club Resource/Valcrond Video.

Following the completely sold out 'Imagine - A - Nation' and 'Le Fusion' reissues, Anotherday brings you a very special release from the vault of the enigma that is Spencer Kincy, AKA Gemini - we are very proud, and extremely excited to present Gemini's first 4 releases, lovingly re-mastered!

* Originally released on Relief Records; the Chicago techno label headed up by Cajmere, these releases were Gemini's introduction into the worlds of house and techno, and contain some of his most vital works.

* As one of Chicago's most mysterious and revered characters, the story of Gemini, aka Spencer Kincy has become something of a myth in recent years - blazing a trail throughout the 90's, prolifically releasing over 200 tracks from 1994 to 1999, Spencer's music had shades innovation and soul few of his peers could match. Then, suddenly, at the peak of his career, he disappeared.

* As before, this album has been licensed directly from the man himself, and the money made from its exploitation will go directly to him.

For the first release label head Lewis steps up with Micro Wave EP, named after his beloved Waldorf Micro Wave xt. He showcases his signature sound consisting of four original dancefloor- ready tracks

The A-side opens up with trippy, delayed synths textures, rolling bass, keeping us locked in, and classic 909 drums. A2 we get more stripped back grooves with playful percussion and a chunky Moog style bass and a vocal sample that keeps on giving.

On the flip side, B1 comes in hard with a peak-time techno bleeper with glitchy percussion. He rounds off the EP with laid-back vibes, providing us with lush pads, dynamic and breaky drums, and a lovely stuttered trance pad arriving on the breakdown for that perfect after-hours moment.

Chicago Basement Trax flexes its muscles and enlisted the services of one Chicago's Crown jewels of the Underground in the form of one Mr. Jordan Fields. Apparently only deep connections in the scene or a history of teenage friendship yields you access to this sort of Magic on vinyl! Nothing but Pure authentic 1980s + a bonus disco dub! Wow! Surely at this point Chicago Basement Trax is looking to reenforce their mythology while also stating the obvious. More than 2 years after his great remix of Atnarko's Solid Ground, we finally have the debut EP from Nacho Marco on Lazy Days. Nacho is a good friend and collaborator or ours. He runs his Loudeast label out of Valencia in Spain. He recently released a Frederico Y Alvaro EP (Fred Everything and Al Velilla). A prolific producer/remixer, Nacho keeps his hands busy in the studio with countless releases on labels like Freerange, Muak, Pacha & Om Records to name but a few. On this EP, Nacho showcases 2 sides of his production. Motion, with its slower tempo, flirts with the world of Deep Disco while The Right Key takes us back to basic House with its early Detroit Techno influence.
On the remix, our old friend Mazi (Audio Soul Project) delivers a Chez Damier influenced groove, taking elements of the original and bringing an old warehouse vibe to it. Frankfurt dynamo Shan, fresh off the back more eclectic fire for Running Back and Live at Robert Johnson, get's to dive into the legendary Candi Staton vocal vaults, and comes back up with 'One Day' : classic sounding, piano-lead house on the Deep Mix, tough, big floor bumper on the Ruff Mix.

Remixes come from fast rising Bristol newcomer Litherland and Phonica's Earth Trax, both strong, with breaks and piano's on the former, space and widescreen dub all over the latter.

Belgian producer and owner of Entrepot Records, UC Beatz, is the next artist to appear on the San Jose label, Roundabout Sounds. Coming out on vinyl only, the La Nuit EP features some sublime house, including my favourite track on the ep, Alta Paper, and a remix of the title track by Jeremiah of Grow! Records out of Vienna. Roundabout Sounds which is now up to release number 14 with this ep, is the label run by Joe 'Babylon' Marougi, co-founder of Plug Research. The label released a great various artists triple vinyl package, Connecting The Compass, that featured such house luminaries Marcellus Pittman, Norm Talley and Theo Parrish, among others.
