''Tracks From The Dungeon'' features unreleased and rare tracks from Ron Hardy, Armando, Sean Hardonson, Paul Johnson and more. Kicking the record off with Sean Hardonson's ''Crash'', Crash or ''Video Clash'' is a house music standard, made popular by Lil Louis in 1989 on Dance Mania Records, although in circulation well before that, Hardonson's ''Crash'' is said to be the mythical version that started it all, finding its first time on wax here. To round out side one Pippin presents the original version of the house classic ''House Nation'' by Nick Non Stop and also fresh from the archives is the much sought after cult mix show cut the Martin Luther King Eulogy track by the late great Armando Gallop.'' ''On The b side the spirit of legend Ron Hardy is alive and well in ''Hardy Feet'' a never before released straight to tape track made by the man himself thats sits somewhere between ''Magic Feet'' and ''Video Clash'' To finish out the record Paul Johnson and Emanuel Pippin join forces on this unique version of Chip E's ''Its House'' set to make the club go crazy. This record needs no introduction! One of THE most classic House records ever made! The legendary pairing of Frankie Knuckles (RIP) and Jamie Principle delivering two devastatingly ahead of the curve anthems; "Baby Wants To Ride / Your Love", both still sounding as fresh, vital, original and contemporary as they did on their 1987 release.

Truly one of the dream pairings in modern dance music, the Knuckles / Principle team brought us many classic moments but the two tracks contained here are among the most recognizable and well loved tracks in the House music lexicon.
Often sampled, covered, edited and re-worked, but never, ever bettered here are two absolutely essential cuts, re-issued as they were released originally in the late 80's on Trax.

I was thrilled when Joe Goddard asked if he could make an EP for the label and were even more thrilled when I heard it. The fact that he roped in the legendary Kool Keith to appear on one track just kept on bringing the thrills.

Here are some lovely words from Joe about this release - 'It's an honour to release some music for this label. I feel that due to the ravages of unrestrained and brutal capitalism, people across the world are finding life particularly difficult right now- both economically and emotionally. Capitalism is an insidious and elusive enemy and many people are currently turning to intolerance and hatred instead of recognising that at these times what we really should attempt to do is love and respect each other as much as possible. Therefore I support Keith's efforts wholeheartedly, and on a personal level I couldn't think of a nicer or more talented person to release an EP with.'

A true lynchpin of the Detroit underground. Sharif Laffrey has been producing music & djing internationally for over 20 years. Sharif's participation in Detroit's early rave scene during the early 1990s led him to music, djing & organizing underground loft parties. Sharif became part of Detroit's Submerge squad as he worked & lived in its storied 2030 Grand River Avenue headquarters working for Mike Banks as an operative for Underground Resistance & Submerge. 'AND DANCE' is the debut release on Laffrey's own record label SPECIAL FORCES. a workout of a jam that along its 14 minute long route undergoes - transformations. cryptic spoken vocals and Sound for Dance. 'HE BEGAN MOANING AND MOVING ABOUT ON THE FLOOR - SLOWLY GOT UP - IN RHYTHM TO THE MUSIC - AND DANCED...

On the label that got him back in the game, Brian Harden returns to D3 Elements, this time with a remix EP of Chicago To Detroit, that featured on the Black 3 EP. This EP features 3 remixes, one By Brian himself and the others by Detroit's Patrice Scott and Atlanta's Byron The Aquarius.First up is man of the moment, Byron The Aquarius, riding high after his releases on Sound Signature and Wild Oates, with his ethereal take on the original. With it's cosmic sounds weaving in and out, Byron manages to infuse his soulful sound on the track to take it to a otherworldly territory. Brian is up next with his 'Chicago Sur Seine Mix', introducing a steel drum and some beautiful pads that are reminiscent of 808 State's, Pacific 202. While still keeping with the original's pace, this remix has more of a down tempo feel, and would fit perfectly in those late night/early morning sets. Finally Patrice Scott delivers a more beat driven Detroit take on the original, with an emphasis on the hi hats and clap that really gives the track that driven feel. While still paying respect to the original, half way through Patrice takes it to another level with his atmospheric keys that round off a great remix EP.

To mark the 20th birthday of the release, we have carefully remastered the tracks from the original DAT tapes and only slightly modified the original cover artwork.

A slightly rugged rhythm creeps out of the speakers as muffled drums build into a hypnotic wave of rough and fuzzy samples topped with layers of springy synth lines. The distorted essence makes it seem as if it was produced with the help of a cheap sampler and drum machine in some Chicago basement back in the days, but it's not. After pleasing us with loads of his disco cuts, HDSN is back with a more controversial record for our NBASTWAX005 . Dreamer' is a dusty four track beauty, that shows us another side of the young beat maker. HDSN´s music isn´t typically associated with lo-fi house, but if you are into the genre, you owe it to yourself to give it a listen. #datsoulthang

Make Noise Records is excited to announce our upcoming release of Brett Naucke's "Electronic Hypnosis Program" EP.

Recorded in Chicago on a Eurorack system full of Make Noise modules, "Electronic Hypnosis Program" presents an eclectic collection of experimental electronic works for sampled voice, field recordings and synthesized sound.

"Electronic Hypnosis Program" follows Naucke's acclaimed 2018 release "The Mansion" (on Spectrum Spools), and continues his exploration of marrying an ever-evolving practice of advanced synthesis techniques with personal and conceptual narratives. Beyond live performance, Naucke has provided the original scores for several films, sound design for interactive gaming, and presented many works for multi-channel audio installations.

" Music may not actually have height, width or depth, but Brett Naucke's certainly feels three-dimensional. Using synthesizers, field recordings and a variety of other sources, the Chicago-based artist crafts expansive pieces that are like physical spaces you can enter and explore."

Kiko Navarro has released on some pretty impressive labels - Nite Grooves, Third Ear and even King Street Sounds to name a few! which makes us very excited to have him as part of Plastik People. Kiko delivers us some straight up dance floor house killers, first track, Bates Dance has infectious strings combined with moody drums & rhythms that are reminiscence of early Point G sounds that came out on Basic Recordings back in the day, Kiko then follows up with a groovy hip shaking track called Camon Yo! which will certainly move any floor.
Remixes come from Cotterell who's previously released under this moniker on Various People Vol.2, the remix keeps that old school garage vibe with deep shuffling drums and moody chords. The EP is rounded of from man of the hour and part of Rhythm Plate - Matt Rivem, he keeps lots of the original feel from Camon Yo! while given it a late night 5am Goshawk regurgitation.

‘Noi No’ LP for Sähkö Splitting at the seams with deviant funk and irrepressible attitude, Madteo’s first LP in 7 years forms a fractal, mixtape-like mosaic of asymmetric techno informed by skewed traces of rap, House, R&B and dancehall. Its 12 tracks are delivered in an enviably nonchalant, freehand style that’s become the Italian-American artist’s ear-snagging signature since 2012’s ‘Noi No’ and ‘Mad Dip Revue’ albums, and also a dozen 12”s and mixtapes over the interim; all of which exerted heavy inspiration for everyone from Andy Stott and Joy O to Demdike Stare over the past decade, making this new LP a perfectly unusual fit for the anything-goes DDS aesthetic shared by label alumni including Mica Levi, Equiknoxx, Iueke and Shinichi Atobe.
Without beating around the bush, ‘Dropped Out Sunshine’ is a straight-up masterpiece of cut-up sampledelia bound to make the club dance differently. Crammed with sawn-off edits that never lose the thread, its wild and effortlessly inventive turns of phrase are anathema to linear club music convention, generating fizzing alchemy from mutually exclusive bedfellows such as dancehall and techno, or R&B and noise that could really only be executed by a producer of Madteo’s calibre. album effortlessly resists a struggle to square the nature of artistic expression. Fragments of gospel blues noise intersect gauntlets of filtered house fuckry, while restless Autechrian electro rubs up against uncoiled trap and needle-worrying levels of textured bass turbulence, leading to an outrageous turn of stuttering ragga-tekno in ‘Resident Alien (Broke-’n-Steppers Reluctant Club Mix)’ and a final side of collapsed, post-club styles that will leave listeners wondering wtf just happened, and ready to do it all again.
