Fusion' has that dark and trippy energy by the mixture of the characteristic Moog synth and 808 elements. While Old Machines' having more of an old school feel with a deep dub Techno basis. On top of that we welcome Kaiserdisco' to the Footwork family. The chart ruling DJ/producer duo consisting of Patrick Buck and Frederic Berger, created a genius remix with a less is more' approach on Old Machines'.

The last Release of L.S.G. on Superstition The Best Of L.S.G. - The Singles Reworked in 2004 is now over 10 years ago. In these days L.S.G. was officially set to finished by Oliver himself, in order to create a distance to the former commercial trance scene. From the first day L.S.G. was standing always for a variety of sound directions. Some called it Trance, Downbeat or Triphop. Well, with the slight difference of having 2015, L.S.G is back and has now taken the step into a very deep sound - so to speak: back to the roots and restart ....

(en) French soundsmith Sebastien Bouchet has a well-documented knack for deep, eccentric techno and house - as well as a reputation for keeping his solo releases few and far between. Seeing him return to Kompakt under new monicker SEBASTOPOL is a pretty special treat, then - his last contribution to the Kompakt label family dates back to the year 2014, when he dropped the much-acclaimed Speicher 77 (KOMPAKT EXTRA 77). Naturally, expectations are high, and his latest offering GAHALOWOOD does not disappoint, seamlessly merging Bouchet's leftfield sensibilities and unlikely riffs with a strong dance floor drive.
Opener and title track GAHALOWOOD gets things off the launch pad quickly, thanks to its stoic kickdrum and surging synths - but it's those vocals that really pull you in, evolving from atmospheric swabs of texture to full-blown mumblecore imbued with all the deadpan romanticism of an early 80s New Wave act. B side follow-up FLASH POOL seems equally committed to the human voice, deploying its intimate groove whispering upfront, but takes an unexpected turn into psychedelic cowbell territory where feral bleeps roam the lands and hooklines grow in the weirdest of places. Closing cut HEAVEN presents a comparatively straightforward house arc - while still sniffing out some trippy goodness that'll leave your thirst of sonic adventure wholly satisfied.

Seine Rückkehr zu Kompakt unter neuem Projektnamen SEBASTOPOL ist deshalb ein ganz besonderer Leckerbissen, datiert doch sein letzter Eintrag ins grosse Kompakt-Buch ins Jahr 2014 zurück, als er die hochgelobte SPEICHER 77 (KOMPAKT EXTRA 77) ins Rennen schickte. Dementsprechend sind die Erwartungen hoch und zahlreich, werden allerdings mehr als befriedigt mit der neuesten Scheibe GAHALOWOOD welche Bouchets Talent für ungewöhnliche Ohrwürmer mit einem kraftvollen Drang zum Tanzflur synchronisiert.
Titeltrack GAHALOWOOD bringt den Fluss schnell ins Rollen, dank einer stoischen Kickdrum und drängelnden Synthies - aber es sind diese Vocals, die einen wirklich in den Strudel hineinziehen und von atmosphärischen Tupfern zur lautstark gehauchten Hymne ausarten, getränkt mit all der matten Romantik einer 80er Welleband. Auf der Kehrseite scheint FLASH POOL ähnlich investiert in die menschliche Stimmgewaltlosigkeit und mischt das intime Groovegeflüster in den Vordergrund - nimmt dann aber eine unerwartete Wendung in psychedelisches Kuhglockenterritorium, wo wilde Bleeps auf den Wiesen umherstromern und Hooklines auf den seltsamsten Bäumen wachsen. Zum Abschluss präsentiert HEAVEN einen vergleichsweise geradlinigen House-Bogen, kommt aber nicht umhin einiges an vertrippter Güte zu erschnüffeln - in jedem Fall dürfte der Durst aufs Klangabenteuer hier vollstens gestillt werden.

Guede Remixes is a remix compilation of DJ Hell taken from his 5th studio album Zukunftsmusik. The release features two remixes by Joyce Muniz and one by Paul Nazca. Guede's soundscape is acidic yet minimal, with its distorted vocals and raucous instrumentation lending the track an eerie and at times ethereal vibe. Each artist brings a uniquely different perspective on the sound of the original cut, whilst never completely abandoning the track's core identity. Paul Nazca infuses it with trance, Joyce Muniz keeps the acid and adds the deep.

Minimalsoul™ returns to the fray with a killer acidic 12' EP by Italian producer Mattia Trani (Bologna, Italy). In 2013 he dropped 'Over The Future' on PushMaster Discs and since then has been remixed by Gerald Mitchell, Claude Young, Orlando Voorn, Juan Atkins and more... This 12' production is solid with having used all hardware instruments like TR909 / TR808 / NordLead4 / Juno60 and KingKorg Synthesizers. Each track presented shows a great deal of expertise in synthesis, drum machine-trickery and acid technique. The Celestial Soul EP 12' also features remix duty from veteran hands Santiago Salazar / Underground Resistance / Historia y Violencia / Los Hermanos / ICAN. Salazars' laidback-moody-groovy-acidic delivery is key to round off this 12' Vinyl as a must have for true underground electronic music enthusiasts and the like.

After unleashing their much-acclaimed new full-length RESTLESS (KOMPAKT 327 CD 123), famed house project TERRANOVA didn't lean back - but started looking for friends and allies to touch up key tracks from the album. The result is this first volume of revamps, RESTLESS REMIXE 1, featuring excellent contributions from DANNY DAZE, RE.YOU and ADAM PORT. Selecting the right source material probably wasn't easy, with strong cuts abounding, but the album's opener TELL ME WHY was kind of a given: a cooperation with Terranova's old pals STEREO MC'S, this one felt so good that both bands have even joined forces to record a whole album together - more info coming soon. Miami's finest Danny Daze injects the original with flamboyant edginess, thanks to an epic, iridescent break and propelling drums - some serious bonus oomph that will leave the crowd reeling. A second remix of "Tell Me Why" comes from Re.You, engineering a hypnotic belter full of snappy percussion and weapon-grade bass - it's the latest floor success for the Berlin-based producer after his SPEICHER 86 release. With UNDERVERSE featuring MANDEL TURNER, another album highlight gets the remix treatment: Adam Port's take is a slick pusher that puts an extended house spin on things. And because Mandel Turner's vocals were so powerful, fans are treated to a vinyl-exclusive acapella version to wrap up the release.

Two years after the milestone SOMEWHERE compilations, Something Happening Somewhere is commemorating the times that have passed, returning with a new chapter in the series. Selecting unique pieces of artists known and less known, the SOMEWHERE series continue their sound based confessional. Telling unheard stories, exposing unseen surfaces and unheard sounds.
SOMEWHERE III is set to be released as two vinyl samplers, with a selection of the tracks featured in the full digital compilations, which will feature four extra digital only tracks. A host of familiar SoHaSo figures make an appearance, but there is also room for new faces like Aril Brikha, KAAP, Ripperton in his stunning collab with Love over Entropy, Equus, Tracey and Mulder. Every artist on this SOMEWHERE III compilation is expressing their unique experience through sound waves, telling stories and uncovering a piece of themselves. There are things radiating in the violet fog, waiting to be discovered. Journeys that are worth making, but will not necessarily provide any more answers. Something is happening somewhere, once again and remember: this is only the first part.
Kiani & His Legion's Motion Academy feels like an exercise in drum pattern programming glued together by his trademark pads and retro synth melodies while synth seagulls swirl around your head. Nuno dos Santos & Quince guide you further on the journey with their rework of Dutch delight Eefje de Visser. Starting with a majestic waterfall of guitar sounds and metallic flanging percussion, it builds up to Eefje's ethereal voice seducing you like a geisha through the abstract mist before hitting the massive bassline arpeggio.
Quince's Pelagic Zones leaves you out in the open. No shore or surface close enough for you to escape the dark brooding vibes and muggy atmospheres that engulf you. Kurt Baggaley's continues the dive with This System. Utilizing a heavy vocoder sound to welcome you into a chaotic dystopian world, pitching chords and multiple riffing synth melodies create a sense of disorientation.
Kaap's lush Sunset Vertigo feels just like the name implies, being propelled forward by a Testarossa across the Pacific Coast Highway with an orange sunset serving as the melancholic backdrop. Inspired by retro chorus synths, tape noises and cr-78 percussion rhythms, it provides catchy melodies and shimmering pads that accumulate in a feeling of endlessness. A perfect fit to close this first SOMEWHERE III chapter.

Maraton is a brand new label coming out of Stockholm, Sweden.
The first release includes two original works by Per Hammar and Maraton co-owner Edvin Wikner, produced in Valvet Studios in Malmö during the winter of 2016. On the B-side you'll find an interpretation by the magnificent Ion Ludwig.

Forceful grooves and trippy soundscapes here business as usual for Junes, whose latest EP adds to a string of releases getting bagged by those looking to work the floor with tight and atmospheric rhythms. The Galdoors man's flair for unexpected combos is on parade in Circuit Rift, where a UK-style low end is flung into the mix with rough drums and 4am melodics. There's a funkier bassline and rolling groove at work in Awake, this time with rich layers of pads and blips. Brass Hand uses a different palette a sparkling, loopy riff and crisp drums though it's still signature Junes.

Produced in Paris and Amsterdam, Malin Genie's Altrica Bloom EP is the first record on the personal MGM label.

Matthias Wagner lands on Spaecial for our second release. We love his previous works, but looks that this artist stays under the radar for most people. Always with a very personal touch, in ARCHIVE 55 EP he delivers 4 totally differents cuts for distinct moods and dancefloors moments.

The Olympos series continues its exploration of godly themes and adventurous techno with a third instalment, this time calling on Demetra, the goddess of the harvest and agriculture. There's a consistently deep tone to all four of the tracks on offer here, employing swooping pads and undulating bleep lines to conjure up a warm, early 90s feel that would sound right at home on an early B12 single. "Pump It" is especially deep, using the barest of ingredients to take you on a dreamy, machine-powered trip.

Following on from a hectic summer touring across the globe, NY producer Joeski returns to the studio to create his next release, due on Crosstown Rebels in 2018. The release unfolds with the original version of I Want You - a fierce, driving beat is juxtaposed alongside the sensual and smoldering vocal as the bassline rumbles on. Pure 4am, fist pumping pleasure. The flip side introduces the disco mix of the title track. But don't let the 'disco' lull you into a false sense of security. The track is fuelled by intense industrial sounding smashes and an abundance of layers that creep ever closer.A founding member of NYC's The Chocolate Factory DJ Collective, Joeski has been a staple in the underground scene in New York since 1991, holding down a residency at the city's famed nightclub- Roxy. He's played alongside the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Louis Vega and Roger Sanchez. His career has seen him release on Electrik Soul, Siesta, Chez and Camouflage as well as launching his own imprint Maya Records in 2001. This year, the prolific producer has juggled a jam-packed touring schedule taking in Australia, New Zealand, South America and Europe, as well as Ibiza for Do Not Sleep and Misfits.

Following up to three albums on Kompakt since 2011, the latest being 'Signs Under Test' (KOM321/KOMCD119) in 2015, Los Angeles based house and techno producer John Tejada returns to the Cologne-based imprint with his thirteenth full-length, 'Dead Start Program' - an eleven-track journey spanning a prismatic array of styles and patterns, from John's signature soulful techno tunes to the further mazy, hypnotic motifs of his trancey electro hybrids.
Be it solo or through a host of multifaceted collaborations, Tejada keeps himself busy on all fronts in and off the club environment, be it by contributing the 44th number in Fabric's seminal mix series, playing drums for Detroit legend Daniel Bell (as DBX), testing the limits of acid with Tin Man or joining forces with the hilarious self-proclaimed "disinformationist" Reggie Watts as Wajatta.
Since his beginnings and the drop of his debut 12", 'Waxing', released through his own label Palette Recordings over twenty years ago, John has been carving out a lane of his own - combining and assembling elements from all ends of his wide-spanning spectrum of reference in a way that allows a more direct transition from the realm of the mind to the circuits of the machine, as confirmed by the deliberately limited studio setup used in the making of the present album.
Navigating across the lines, from the arrhythmic machine spook of the album's opener 'Autoseek' via the straight out thumping and jacking pulse of 'Hypochondriac' and heavy-lidded breakbeat of 'Sleep Spindle' onto the kosmische-infused vibrations of 'Telemetry', vibrant slo-mo inertia of 'Loss' and wistful club-ready winds of 'Duty Cycle' and 'Heal', John threads his way through genres and tempos with optimal chameleonic effect.
Cloaked in a beautiful sleeve art courtesy of John's long time friend Juan Mendez aka Silent Servant - another key contributor to the Los Angeles scene worldwide,

based upon a picture by Mark Richards, 'Dead Start Program' draws its title from the analog start up program used to boot an old CDC 6600 computer from a dead start and which metaphorically invites in John's own words to figure a "reboot from the challenges life throws at you".

After the widespread acclaim for "Shoulders Back" and "July V", Leif fires up his 10" TIO Series with another pair of dazzling, future-minded cuts for the more inquisitive dancefloor. Increasingly he's been moving away from house and techno conventions towards intriguing broken beat variations, and that's apparent in abundance on this new release. "Bluebird" rides on a set of tough but dynamic drum ripples, but the stand-out element is the gorgeous twinkling arpeggio that pirouettes over the top of the beat. "Number 13" meanwhile takes a moodier, dubbier approach without losing that deft programming, harmonic warmth and crafty rhythmic interplay that has become Leif's calling card in recent times.

For the sophomore installment of our various artists series 'Watergate Affairs', we bring you four searing cuts of dance floor mania from Ruede Hagelstein, Adana Twins, Marco Resmann and Tiefschwarz. Kicking it off is Ruede's timeless, future classic; 'Flash Balls'. At nearly eleven minutes, it's a masterfully crafted tune reminiscent of classic Carl Craig and the best things that happen when Berlin meets Detroit. Adana Twins 'Etah' follows with a lush palette of sonics dispersed over an incredibly infectious groove emanating in a gorgeous ballad that will surely induce those magic moments. Next up is Resmann's 'Mobius', a contagious groover that delicately balances the ability to fit any time or setting, day or night from open airs to club lights. Completing the compilation is Tiefschwarz with their enchanting symphony; 'Backyard' whose opulent shimmers and warm low end administer a superb trip into the ethereal. We hope you enjoy!

'Maledetti' is a duo project by Lamusa II & Riccardo Schirò. 'Ritmi' is a dialectical trip to the Truth in five rave steps, including a special remix by Yoshinori Hayashi. A hell-yeah-damn-good record!

Rekids launch re-issue label entitled R-Time Records with four timeless tracks from Sir Lord Comixx. Having established a handful of renowned imprints such as Rekids, Pyramids Of Mars, Cabin Fever and The Double R, Matt Edwards' new venture aims to shine a light on classic tracks that didn't always get the recognition they deserve.

'Amoon (Sir Lord Comixx) and I go back a long way and we met through our friend Justin (Isonoe) in the early 90s,' says Matt Edwards. 'I was still living in Catford and would regularly drive over to Justin's studio where he'd play me all this crazy, otherworldly music from Amoon and it blew my mind - I was completely captivated by his unique take on techno.

'At the time I had no idea that we grew up in the same neighbourhood and Amoon was living just around the corner so, of course, we hooked up and in 1996 I released an EP from him including one of his classics 'UR My Omen' on my Hard Up label.'

Composed of four tracks from separate releases, 'Retroactive (Part One)' inaugurates with '1 4 The Groove' from Sir Lord Comixx's 'Danceteria EP' on Ugly Music. Produced in '96, the track's raw aesthetic features sharp percussion, heady melodies and a compelling groove. Meanwhile, 'Enemax' - which appeared on 1A Records - demonstrates throbbing synths and shuffling drums.

Originally produced under his a.Moon moniker in '98, 'Funk Box' is the most robust track on the package with its thudding kicks and assortment of meandering sounds, before the 'Azid Jazz' provides a deep and funky finale.

The Fourth EP from the Vigenere label consists of three spacey cuts from an outer worldly nearness.

Karen Gwyer's indomitable Rembo LP receives remixes from four producers at the cutting edge of house and techno, Via App, Ron Morelli, E. Myers and M/R. Vinyl only, no digital. Artwork by Karen Gwyer.

Acid Pauli's second album 'BLD' dropped earlier this year to a rapturous reception. Martin Gretschmann's trippy opus took in various stops around the musical spectrum, yet remained committed to quality dance-floor tracks that refuse to follow any particular rule book. This collection of remixes of the album's A side (hence the name) only adds to that achievement - bringing yet more new flavours and takes from some of the most exciting names in the underground. 'Abbebe' gets a rework from Sainte Vie who brings his trademark 'multicultural electro' sound to the album's opener, and produces an ecstatic mid-paced groover for the heads. Oceanvs Orientalis drops a similarly exciting rerub, finding new angles and dimensions to the track 'Baris'. Tel Aviv's Red Axes turn up the psychedelica for the duo's amazing dissection of 'Ayam' - deep sounds immersed in acidic tones and tight-yet-wonky arrangements. Lastly 'Majid' gets the treatment from label co-head Nico Stojan who produces a sleek and spacy remix that will delight the early morning ravers.

Following our tenth release we welcome two unique and established artists into the Leftback family.
David Gtronic and Randall M join us for their first outing on the label off the back of their busy international touring schedule and contribute an epic deep and twisted track across one whole of side A.
Accompanied on the B side by a heavy duty dub mix stripping back the original track and knotching up the BPM. Label regular Matt Star provides his dubby techno stamp for the remix completing the package on B2.

After five various releases, Vakum returns with their first full EP including their first ever remix. 'Silom' EP is a diverse story signed by Disrupted Project, an artist they had the chance to present on their very first VAKUM back in 2014. Now he's back with full EP which is rounded with a remix from Toronto's finest - Basic Soul Unit. The tracks are ranging from detroit influenced electro and chordy big room techno to breakbeat rave like drums and melodies.

LOFT Records returns after a fruitful year to kick-start 2017 with three infectious cuts from rising Irish talent Hammer.

The Belfast-born producer is well known for his lauded releases on Feel My Bicep (in collaboration with the label founders) as well as Optimo Music but production isn't his only facet. Hammer has shared DJ booths with the likes of Hunee, Sasha, Midland, Craig Richards and nd_baumecker, whether at his residency at Sub Club or at his many gigs throughout Europe.

With LOFT Recordings reflecting on a prosperous 2016, including a class two track release from Isaac Tichauer, followed by a chart topping remix package featuring Hackman, Dorsia, Lancelot and Bicep, Hammer's innovative contribution to the imprint looks to follow suit.

Soaring pads and intricate drums form the overall aesthetic of 'Canna' but as the track progresses serene melodies and subtle snare rolls come together to form a harmonious eruption of synths. 'Manaka' then shifts to syncopated percussion and spectral nuances before 'Man Ray' delivers distorted atmospherics and twisted chord sequences to conclude the package.

My Rules storms into 2018 with the raw machine music project Happy Family from Eric Duncan and Justin Van Der Volgen.

A side 'Downtown Wedgeee' kicks off with twisted acid lines and drunken arpeggios which build and build until completely going off the rails, then finishing with ethereal pads and metallic percussion.

B side 'Bad Monks' ups the tempo and goes even further into woozy psychedelic territory with thick dizzying drones and a smeared pounding analogue rhythm.
