Taken from the acclaimed debut LP 'The Soft Bounce', Phantasy is proud to present expansive remixes of two album tracks.
Daniel Avery ramps up the atmosphere with an airy, drifting electronic mantra, pulsing with gliding motorik propulsion perfect for late night escapades.
On the flip side, BTU, an amalgamation of Phantasy producers Babe Terror and U, take album closer 'Third Mynd' and recast it as a mind opening sixteen minute collage of found sound, drone and atmosphere, a psychedelic opus befitting Jon Savage's otherworldly speech.
Two very distinct trips into the outer reaches of electronic sound. Toto, we are not in Kansas anymore...

"Funkin' With The Drums Again" sees the legendary producer and WBMX disc jockey Farley "Jackmaster" Funk turning in some absolutely killer jacking drum tracks, Chicago style. Each track is an essential DJ tool that has it all, Italo Disco inspired bass-lines, skittering drum machines, eerie analog synthesizer melodies and of course, Farley's trademark percussive vocal stabs punctuating the mix.
Originally released in 1985 the tracks featured on "Funkin' With The Drums Again"still pack a punch now in 2014, the record is a document from the initial first wave of Chicago House records and has that raw edge that so many contemporary producers are still inspired by 20+ years later.
Re-mastered, re-pressed and re-issued in conjunction with the rights holders and complete with original Trax Records label artwork.

Fresh from live performances at Bonobo's Outlier festival, The Quietus stage at The Great Escape, and supporting Max Cooper, London-based production virtuoso Guy Andrews revisits his acclaimed debut album 'Our Spaces'. Informed by audience reactions at these shows, he takes two of the LP's standout tracks and reconfigures them for the dancefloor, with devastating results.
Meanwhile two like-minded artists tackle the album's lead single 'In Autumn Arms'. Max Cooper crafts a formidable collage of IDM textures, with staccato beats punctuating the lilting guitar riff, whilst DJ Mag's former 'Best Breakthrough Producer' Ben Pearce takes the track into the main room, turning in an elemental 4/4 floor-burner.

Our last EP of the year is a special one as it marks one year of releasing records for Keep It Zen so we called on Ian Blevins along with remixes from Amsterdam's Frits Wentink and Berlin's Nick Beringer to end our year on a high.
Ian Blevins is an influential name in the underground house scene and was mentioned by Resident Advisor as one of Ibiza's most talented residents. Years of passionately listening to and searching for music, both new and old, has seen Ian's style mature which has helped shape his own productions and his mysterious duo Al Gobi.
Blevins kicks off the EP with 'NEXT'. Lots of rugged percussion keeps the track driving against glitched vocal lines and melodic synthesizers.
'STABBATHA' tried and tested by Blevins at his residency for 'We Love... Space, Ibiza' comes at us instrumentally with a short stubby bass sound, hearty progressive stabs and a teasing arrangement that keeps the track moving.
Frits Wentink has been killing it recently with releases on WOLF Music and Heist Recordings. His sound is somewhat special and unique which is clearly portrayed through his remix of 'NEXT'.
Nick Beringer ends the record nicely giving 'NEXT' some real house love by incorporating his familiar deep sound. Nick has produced for a list of labels including Skytrax, Morris Audio and Deso Records. We're truly honoured to have these artists join the KIZ family.

Next up on Crosstown Rebels is a classy deep tech cut from one of Sweden's finest exports - Ida Engberg. Making her debut on Crosstown Rebels with 'Devil Dance', Ida proves her undeniable power to move the dancefloor as she combines her tough yet groovy style with a sexy dose of acid. B-side 'Silhouette Of A Ghost' is a housier affair, with a lighter bounce yet injected with some filthy distorted bass. Featuring reworks by the legendary Mr G and Ida's close cohort Adam Beyer, the 'Devil Dance' package is essential for any DJ box and best served up on a system that's worthy.
Ida Engberg is a global techno megastar. DJing from an incredibly young age and working her way up from local bars in hometown Stockholm to residencies in Marbella followed by season in Ibiza 2005, Ida then turned attention to production and by 2007 had releases out on Get Physical and Pickadoll. With European tour dates pouring in, Ida came to play her first Drumcode gig in 2008 and later joined the ranks of the juggernaut collective in 2011, often playing alongside Drumcode founder Adam Beyer and also making her mark with releases on the label. The dancefloor domination has continued with sets at the most prestigious clubs and festivals in the world. 2014 will see Ida kick off a residency for Verboten in NYC plus appearances at Damian Lazarus's next Rebel Rave and 9th annual Get Lost in Miami. Ida is to follow this up with a series of EPs for Crosstown Rebels so watch this space.
Delivering a superb dub mix of 'Devil Dance', prolific UK techno veteran Mr G bestows his unmistakable raw and bass heavy thump and groove with his 'NY Dub'. Mr G is a legend by anyones standards - a stronghold in the industry as much as in his pioneering days with The Advent. Nowadays Mr G is found lighting up the catalogues of Rekids, Running Back, Bass Culture and Contemporary Scarecrow as well as releasing on his own imprint Phoenix G.
Fellow Swedish techno royalty Adam Beyer delivers a suitably loopy remix of 'Devil Dance' - clunking and chunking up the percussion and with a groovy little suction motif, Adam once again proves he's a true master of rhythm. Launching the now seminal label Drumcode in 1996, Beyer is the kingpin of the Stockholm scene and as well as a plethora of releases on labels Planet Rhythm, Truesoul and of course countless on own labels Drumcode and Code Red, Adam has also recently created a stunning live act with Cari Lekebusch.

After the previous collaborations with Blawan and Lucretio & Marieu (aka The Analogue Cops), Mannella is back with his first solo work "Nebula Viator". There's no definitive recipe for his individual productions, but you can usually expect varying amounts of evolving pads, nostalgic rhythm and structured drums change that give to his productions a rich hot surge. In this four track EP Mannella is going back to his roots and main influences, showing us how essential is for him shaping them into his latest feeling: swaggering techno tracks powered by sleek house chords.Nebula Viator is a 24minutes EP crammed with slamming and chubby grooves set against a sprawling astral substrate..

Constantly turning around itself, the winding melody of Vertere turns outward and inward at the same time, bringing the listener on a journey outward while mirroring a simultaneous labyrinthine journey inward. Like the word itself, Vertere, with its roots in the Latin word Verto (which itself takes its roots in the earlier Sanskrit word, Vartayati) it signifies the very nature of change itself. It means both to turn and reflect inward and yet also move forward — a call to action for setting in motion new things. A paradox at first glance but also perhaps a surprisingly accurate description of the destructive and reconstructive nature of creation. An apt metaphor for this bright new collaboration between established Life and Death artists Mind Against and the new artist project of Federico Maccherone, aka Somne.
On remix duties, when you have an artist of the caliber of Tobias Freund, you don't need to ask for anything more and with his outstanding remix of Vertere he very clearly shows why. This long time mainstay of the electronic music scene has managed to stay not just relevant but on the cutting edge longer than most with respected releases on some of the most seminal imprints to be putting out music in the world of underground dance music. With Vertere he takes what's already top quality material and somehow manages to turn it inward and in his own unique way elevate it to another level entirely. With a relentless beat and a sonic force that is hard to describe with mere words the Tobias. remix of Vertere comes out of the gate like a runaway machine rapturously drunk on its own self awareness. It marches ever forward, full of fervor, and will surely be driving dance floors both large and small to the euphoric edge of the ecstatic state.

THIS IS A RECORD FOR THE SPRING THAT NEVER COMES. THE HEAT THAT WOULD BE ON.
Through old Ghent acquaintances here's the tenth release from the LDDLM bunker.RHEINZAND is almost our super group. Mo (ex Glimmer Twins but still shining), Rheinard, the multi-instrumentalist force and Charlotte, the softer voice.
We don't do retro but if we had, it would be them, chameleons on a sequin dress, sometimes camp, sometimes deep, sometimes even "disco clash" (the term is now copyrighted)
On remix duties, we have the lovely cat lover Lokier who turns THE FIRST TIME (track who was a big hit with influential minor players blah blah) into her own smacked out industrial groove.
AH, IT ALSO HAS THE BELGIAN COLORS.
This is part 1 of 2. Get the talc out.

Sebastian Russell's latest trick on Fenou turns out to be a beautiful early summer record. For more than 10 years the London-based guitarist is dedicated to electronic music and his creative passion is heard with every track he releases. The A side starts with the title track 'Free Fall", which makes you want to jump to this prancing, easy beat. The catchiness of the tune will etch itself into your memory. Then we meet the graceful 'Hide' with its warm, yet powerful and rich sound. The B side belongs to 'Force", a refreshingly glistening track of sophisticated sound-finesse, which also is the records most danceable tune. As usual this release comes as a 10inch vinyl in a limited edition and numbered by hand.

Sidney Charles has delivered us an outstanding EP with a mixture of tracks that span across house and techno that has captured a real feel for what Sidney is capable of.
Each one has its own unique flavour with Sidney's production prowess sprinkled over the top. Each beat is chunky, groovy and works in a harmonious juxtaposition with the melodies Sidney creates. All are dancefloor killers!

Machines do speak a language understood and appreciated by humans. Measured by the success of Skudge, an artistic duo that has delivered a lot in a very short time. Combining their inspiration and talent through wires and analogue equipment, they seem to always present something new - in a very faithful style. What remains most significant on their output through the main label Skudge Records, as well as their remix material present on a row of different labels, it must be their exceptional sense of loops and unexpected detail in their productions.

From Oporto, Portugal but now resident in London, Trikk presents a 4-track EP for Optimo Trax. Each of the tracks is a dubbed-out, percussive hypno gem with advanced production and while not dub per se, the use of dub effects is up there with the finest JA studio experimentation. All 4 tracks have been extensively club tested and may cause subtle pandemonium. DJ tip : watch out for the slow down in Modo Ritmico!

This is the relaunch "Limited edition Album" (475 copies only, remastered from the original master tapes) of the Male Productions label. It contains theAoriginal songs of "The True Underground Sound Of Rome" from the rare and sought after EP released in 1991 on "Male Records" plus two unreleased tracks recorded in 1991. In Italy during early 90's after the "disco era" was time for the new born "Underground Music" movement. Male Productions represents the first italian electronic-house independent label, based in Rome and managed by Chicco Furlotti, former club-DJ and organizer of the early italian rave parties. This Album features Stefano Di Carlo and other big names from the italian electronic and house music scene like Leo Young and Mauro Tannino... It's time to present HUND Records 003. The third release of the new born label is a really minimal bomb. The 2 originals are made by a serious work by Dubfuss and Phatool, HUND resident djs and also co- owner of the same name label. DubTool 1 is a track with some dark infuences while DubTool 2 is a pure dance foor track.

Percussion and vocal are ftted together in a track that will remain in our head for a long time. Instead in the second side we fnd an artist with an ascertain talent: Alci. Fresh on the back of the release of his third album 'GOOD LUCK AND DO YOUR BEST' this summer, GOLD PANDA signs off an acclaimed 2016 with a very limited 12 of three remixes of music taken from his latest record. Having previously re-worked the Panda track 'Community', Berlin-resident Fort Romeau once again takes the reigns with a gorgeous, nine-minute pulsing, electro-heavy recreation of the track 'Time Eater' complete with ghostly synth motifs that twirl around Japanese instrumentation culminating in a frenetic release. US producer John Roberts, who himself released one of the best deep house records of the year, remixes 'Chiba Nights', transforming it into a thumping, acid-tinged affair that mixes space and warped electronics beautifully. Finally, the contemplative 'Song For A Dead Friend' is taken on by Japanese musician Daisuke Tanabe, whose wide ranging musical influences of electronica, folk and jazz all come to bear on this track. Radically different to the two that run prior to it on the 12, it's more akin to the likes of Boards of Canada and Plaid, as it slowly ebbs to a wistful conclusion over three different musical phases.

After cutting his teeth supporting Berlin's Keinemusik crew, Fabian Braunbeck branches off with his own original EP. Moody & beautiful, its lush textures clearly show an artist who has paid attention while working with some of the industry's best, yet has a voice all his own, not to mention he's picked up a few tricks on the way. The EP's title track needs absolutely no introduction, just press play. We welcomed back our good friend Ruede Hagelstein to remix the a - side - and as the partyers at Panorama bar would agree now for weeks on end - "It Works!. The B-side is a much more percussive and moody affair - getting a remix from fellow Berliner Filburt who puts his own mark on the original's cornerstones.

The legendary Mark Reeve delivers his very first techno EP on MB Elektronics.
Starting this EP is the 'Metamorph'. Definitely would be one of the highlight releases of this year. It features an exquisite and devastating bassline.
Next is 'Planet Blue' which features a very nice solid drum pattern. A subtle bassline while smooth strings gather as the production progresses. Brilliant stuff here and a EP that must definitely get a look in on MB Elektronics.

It is common knowledge Toby Tobias used to rule the coasts of Ibiza with his Balearic Iron Funk!
Now back on his home turf of London, Toby has chosen the Cosmic Pint Glass to tell us the story Sun, Sea and Madness!
A Room for Babette is a Balearic House Funk bomb filled with sandy frolics and a touch of mayhem. Afterwards we hit the romance button. Touch Meh is a one of the smoothest edits to be given the Toby treatment and on the flip Ptaki take you on an amazingly beautiful 12 minute journey around the islands with their A Room for Babette remix complete with dolphins! :)
When Toby Tobias visited Ibiza he used to stay at an amazing B&B ran by Babette. She was one of the original party people of the island and would hang out with the likes of Grace Jones.
A Room for Babette echoes that summer madness only found on these islands in a certain time and place. The track starts off with that feeling of disorientation that perhaps a few midday holiday brews might bring on. An erratic beat and explosions rattle overhead, until the soothing sounds of a synthesised flute float in. Shortly after a saxophone joins in and the explosions start up again. It's at this point things start to get fun!
Tensions are rising and the boogie is starting to happen! Before long you're travelling at full tilt!Toby has been part of the London scene since breaking some shapes in the streets back in the 80's. He has seen genres come and go and all the while been adding to his record collection. In this track you can hear a cross pollination of Styles from Funk, House, Soca and even No Wave making for a DJ friendly track and has a genuinely rare style.
After the evening out on the town, it's time to go back to the chalet for a night of romance. Touch Meh is a one of the smoothest, romantic edits. Toby adds his magic to re-edit with the addition of some powerful drums making for a seriously raunchy track! The next day (On the flip of the EP) we meet up with Ptaki, everyone is feeling a little delicate so the boys take you to their favourite cove, or that's what it sounds like. A Room for Babette remix has been tamed beautifully to give a wholly relaxing track with the addition of an amazing string sample that sits perfectly in the groove. The explosions and erratic drums are gone leaving the sound of paradise. After a small visit to some dolphins a rhythm on the horizon can be heard and after a little while, we find ourselves in a trance, fully relaxed to the deep house sound of Ptaki. What an amazing holiday! .

Cocoon Recordings is back with another limited 10 edition! Scotsman Vince Watson and Frankfurt Cocoon family member Frank Lorber are in charge for our latest baby and with no exageration we feel this is going to be one of this years highlights! Although hailing from Erskine in Scotland and meanwhile residing in Amsterdam "Speaker Freaker" by Vince Watson appears like a Detroit house gem in perfection! This is Planet E, this is electronic art, this is a deeper than deep tech-house-lovers delight! If you missed the high times of Detroit techno maester Vince Watson beams you straight back to it - however not without adding up to date soundscapes and frequencies. You might guessed it already and we have to admit: We really fell in love with this one big time! After so much deepness there is time to speed up the pace a bit and get us something to freak out now. Frank Lorber's "L'Obscure Objet Du Désir" seems the perfect food for our needs. There is a strong beat, a massive and freaky acidic bassline and driving hihats. Frank created a kickin' techno monster spiced up with cool effects and break-downs. This is the soundtrack for dark clubnights full of smoke and screaming dancers who are about to turn the dancefloor upside down. What an amazing double pack, both tunes with definetely be around for a long time and we can't wait to hear them in a club!

Roberto Bosco is a young Italian producer with a short but highly impressive discography, citing labels such as Samuel L. Session's Klap Klap, Orlando Voorn's Night Vision and Len Faki's Figure. Lately, he has released on Be As One, an Israeli imprint that's attracted the tastes of Loco Dice, Gui Boratto, Kate Simko, Agoria and GummiHz. Claudio Mate has an unique kind of sound: there is something like classic atmospheres expressed into new spine-tingle grooves, a deep-cosmic-solid journey or more simply just the trip of his life story
