A surprising house release, MUREDO, an EP with a generous acoustics in which the rythm is frontal but the story is told just behind.The Raf' are two habitual offenders of the well done track. When the MUREDO track slowly wakes you up and meticulously tries hard to describe the morning gestures, MUREFA carry on with a breathless ride. The second inspiration is only taken when everything
had come to an end, in a calmness orchestrated by Val' at the helm of an abstract groovy remix. This EP is the first signature on the recent french label SECONDE and a lot of things are supposed to come soon.

Imagine Cocoon would be a big international football club Chris Tietjen would be definitely one of the talents coming out of the clubs very own player development program. And he has been pushed step by step to this point to stand on his own feet. Tietjen proofs every week that he is a promising young player and since 2013 he also entered the big field of music production. After his mini-compilation-like debut on Cocoon Recordings which he produced together with Markus Fix, Reboot and Ricardo Villalobos and another 12 collab on Serkal Records (together with Steve Ward) he is about to present his Cocoon Recordings follow up now. Tietjens upcoming release is a stunning joint venture with the Frankfurt based tech-house-master Christian Burkhardt who released two still thrilling 12s on Cocoon Recordings in 2011 and 2012. Especially his 'Stopver Goa' release was a big success and somehow defined his sound like no other Burkhardt record before: He is the man for the big intersection of techno and house and for the hands in the air! Tietjen and Burkhardt follow this basic musical map with their collaboration. 'Chamber Night' and 'Ruff Rules' are two massive and bold tracks targeting the area between house and techno par excellence. Rolling beats, dry and sold drumsounds with a little retro flavour meet mystic and hypnotic effect-sounds and magical strings. The two create a vibe that reminds us of packed clubs, hot air, dancing people. The digital bonus track 'Skizz' takes it a bit deeper but still with enough drive to make us dance all night long. Dyed Soundorom from France contributes a cool remix for 'Chamber Nights". He worked out the original parts with the typical Dyed Soundroom style based on percussive vocal samples that reminds us of his 'Appolonia' masterpiece.

RAAM follows up his two earlier EP´s with some warm, gritty and analogue fuzz. The EP starts with PADME which is a heavy and chord driven techno track. A thick synth stab is building up over a tight 909-beat, wooden percussion to a big crescendo which makes this track a peak time banger. 

On the flip PADME gets some remix treatment by ART ALFIE from the mighty KARLOVAK label. Here the synth stab is beeing dubbed out so it rolls like the sound of distant thunder over a fat and chunky beat. The result is a fine, dark and driving house track that really works the club. 

The EP ends with CREST which is a warm, deeply floating house track with a subtle disco flair. 

Limited edition, vinyl only sampler of second album from house music legend Satoshi Tomiie on new label asbtract architecture - Features two album cuts and remixes from Ron Trent and DJ Sneak Satoshi Tomiie will release his new album 'New Day' on his own newly inaugurated label Abstract Architecture. The new music will be introduced first on a limited edition vinyl only sampler, with two album cuts and remixes by his longtime heroes Ron Trent and DJ Sneak. The A side features 'Thursday 2 AM' and Ron Trent's Remix Dub. The original highlights Larry Heard's influence on Satoshi's early days as late 80s house producer, with a classic sounding bassline and synth pads. It gives the legendary Ron Trent the perfect tools to deliver a timeless production - in fact, he liked it so much he made three different versions. The B side shows a slightly different sound with two versions of '0814'. The original, an energetic DJ tool made after a particularly inspiring club show, was simply asking for a DJ Sneak remix. The house heavyweight immerses it in his signature sound adding a dubby feel to the original.

In the wake of Bicep's 'Just' EP - AUS Music continue to maintain their momentum and welcome back Sei A. Having releases records on Turbo, Kompakt and Hemlock - the London via Glasgow producer marks his welcome return with 'Gasp' - his first contribution to the label since November 2013.
Sei A is an artist who has astutely diversified his sound with each and every piece of output and whilst his catalogue has strayed left of centre it's consistently remained punctuated with the sort of muscular club material that's given him a steady home at AUS. His latest offering is one that fans of 'Make It Work' and 'Wants' will relish as it melds moody, syncopated grooves with nifty vocal snips and capacious breakdowns.
The title track unfolds behind an arresting loop that - propelled by a dense thud, gathers percussive whacks and a prowling bass pattern. Vocal clips fall in and out before a truncated breakdown snaps back in and catches the listener off guard. 'Never Wander' then builds behind sizzling hi hats and a tape-driven kick. Mournful chord shifts are spread overhead before a sharp electric bass pattern is driven in from underneath.
Suffused with tape-driven texture '4ME2' then unfolds behind a tumbling sequence that's gently bent out of shape. A thick wall of sound then snowballs bringing with it a rasping bass tones and vast, heart-rending chord shifts that seal off yet another addition to a long list of triumphs on AUS.

This 12" debut by Suokas is designed to charge the techno floors. "Battery" features two anthems of 9 minutes each which are stripped down to their evolving fat grooves and will keep your audience jumping.

The next chapter in the main The Invariants series surfaces. On the A side two slightly more effective cuts with centripetal force. On the flipside it submerse with the first a track from the tape archives and to close the EP off a downtempo acid session.

Following his hallucinogenic EPs'Dust' and 'Green Man' for R&S, Alex Smoke returns with his latest opus 'Love Over Will', perfectly crafted electronica, brimming with layers that mixes depth, euphoria and social commentary in equal measure. Love Over Will sees Menzies further exploring the melding of his voice with intricate electronics and discordant melody.

The title 'Love Over Will' is a play on "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. Love is the law, love under will", the central tenet of Thelema, created by famed occultist and ceremonial magician Aleister Crowley, with the central thread of the album being "a statement on the times we are living in, but with an optimism relating to ways forward that are possible".

Also Menzies's work has been informed by his ongoing installation work with artist Florence To, primarily on the links between sound and spirituality (ritual music, psychoacoustic effect).

The album's palette of otherworldly strings, distortion, clicks and synths acts as a bed for Menzies' voice, calling to mind the emotive fragility of Arthur Russell, at times confessional, others loudly declamatory - 'Love Over Will' is unquestionably Menzie's finest work to date.

Phantasy are proud to release the next in a series of remix 12s for Daniel Avery's hugely acclaimed "Drone Logic" album featuring reworks from some of the most important electronic artists around. Matthew Dear dons his Audion mask to remake "Need Electric" and prove why he remains the king of that breathless, late-night sound whilst, on the flip, Matt Walsh - boss of the hugely exciting Clouded Vision label - applies his effortlessly stylish techno workings to "Free Floating."

2016 is all set to kick off in fine style for the Opilec Music label as they release three brilliant remixes of an I-Robots original.
Artwork comes from Tamami Saito to ensure this is another irresistible package. The original track here is Opilec Music boss I-Robots Come to Harm which was released on his debut album Laws of Robotics back in 2007. Now it gets some great new life breathed into it by three key electronic players but is in fact part of an ongoing project that is all based around the impact of Isaac Asimov's Laws of Robotics. Previously in the series there has been Zeroth Law ft Mike Anderson & Demented Machine' remixed by Santiago Salazar and Mr. Raoul K, whilst the future will bring a new I-Robots Ep based around the same concept entitled Own Existence (The Detroit Remixes) featuring works by Los Hermanos and Gary Martin as well as another set of remixes from Daniele Baldelli & Marco Dionigi, Richard Sen, Santiago Salazar, Alexander Robotnick, Harry Dennis (from The It/Jungle Wonz) and more to be confirmed.
First up here is Kuniyuki who has released on labels like Mule Music. He flips the cut into a brilliantly bubbly, organic groove that is peppered with free flowing, tumbling toms and hand drums.
Some jazzy, sun kissed keys also percolate up through the mix, bringing a great sense of playfulness to the track.
Next comes Djembe Monks, a regular Peng artist from Africa who stays true to his roots and cooks up a fantastic Zimbabwe Session remix. It is one dense with loose afro grooves, DIY tin pot percussion and flailing drums that really make you want to move. It has soul, too, thanks to the expert synth chords and glowing keys, and the overall effect really is absorbing.
Lastly, Spaniard and Desolat associate Danny Ocean goes for a smooth, deep, insular remix that really works its way under your skin. Gentle chords and lush melodies prove he is a master musician and this remix is yet another different and excellent take on the original that really stands out. All three of the cuts here are infused with authentic flavours and feelings that speak of the uniqueness of the men who made them. As such, it is another fine package from Opilec Music.

Edible unveils its second release in January 2016, and goes Stateside on this one, enlisting the production prowess of LA based DJ/producer Lauren Lane for a tasty trio of tunes.
Cutting her teeth on the NYC house circuit, and moving onwards to Hollywood's Sound Nightclub where she was a resident, Lauren has become a regular jock on the festival circuit, taking in Coachella, The BPM Festival, Burning Man, Decibel et al, as well as regular club spots around Ibiza, Europe, South and North America.'Diary Of A Madwoman' pulls together three cuts that showcase Lauren's flourishing talents perfectly. The lead track rolls like the very best of them, deft keys provide the simple melody whilst the soft ambient touches merely go to cushion those slammin' beats and driving sub bass, so simple let a wicked groove. 'The Right Kind Of Weird' keeps this jumpin' vibe with beats that Todd Terry would be proud of and an infectious b-line all dusted with micro samples, transposing ride cymbals and unassuming keys.The digital release features a third offering from Lauren, 'FOMO' plunders similar territory, the playful arrangement, choppy dialogue and booming bass captivates from the off as the electro tinged beats weave their charm. A cracking start to Edible's 2016 schedules, and a hugely promising year for Ms. Lane, uncomplicated and frills free proper house music on offer here!

Fresh from the beautiful collaborative fusion of his and Ulf Eriksson's unique, boundary-blurring, moment-in-time 'The Dance', Sebastian Mullaert returns with another future-focused dispatch from his secretive soundlab tucked away deep in the Swedish forests.

An eight-minute freeform jazz-minded jam that owes just as much to Bugge as it does the Belleville Three, 'You're An Orchestra In The Cosmos' is a luxurious, lolloping groove peppered with cosmic improvisation and a faraway star-gazing spoken word. It's also a discussion on the chaos of shared perception and the paradox of cosmic harmony. Sebastian explains it best...

'The cosmos guides us all. It moves us, beyond time and age, it belongs to us. We are the cosmos.

'We each look at the same molecules in an object, the same physical features on a person, the same stars in a constellation, but each of us sees these differently, each of us has a different experience. It is this experience that we need to give time to, listen to, and understand. It's only then that we can become an instrument in the orchestra of the cosmos.

'The cosmos is the greatest paradox of life. It guides us - some would say it even conducts us, but without us it does not exist. It is in this silent desolation that we, a cacophony of individuals, create the harmony of existence through our connected individual interpretations of every atom, being and thing.'

As with every project that has preceded this and the ones that will succeed it, Sebastian has invested every atom of his soul and thought into the original and his three different versions: his lean and trippy Blinkarp dub, the softer focus Rhodes version and the spacious dub hypnosis of his Wa Wu We remix. Label boss Joris Voorn has also offered his own interpretation of Mullaert's musical molecules: strapping us tightly into his euphoric rocket, he provides a deep trip into peak time nebular.

This summer seems to be the return of Fabrice Lig with his album on Fine Art, 12'' on R&S and this great Third Ear release with remixes by... Remixes from Underground Resistance Timeline (Mike Banks and Jon Dixon), Luke Slater, Marco Passarani and Fluxion!

This latest release of Prego (a division of Vielspaß records) comes up with two epic tracks reshaped by Mick Wills. The Wall - Fire on the A side is a bright disco-ish wave hymn raised with the M.W. style. The Stallion - Hope on the B side is a hypnotic floor killer with haunting lyrics and atmosphere.

Bakradze aka Gacha - One of the founders of the label. Mainly known for his releases on Apollo Records. Akwaaba - with his track 'Stolen' makes his second appearance on the label . Prequel, producer from Australia, Melbourne. He made his debut on Bradley Zero's Rhythm Section International.

There are 4 original tracks, 2 from each producer, split by side. Another tasty, collaborative release brimming with deep, low slung and mid-tempo goodness.
The title of this EP is rather fitting, seeing as Paxton Fettel has already made the trip from Denmark's capital to London when he played to his 1st UK audience back in May at the 2nd Plumage Label Night in Hackney. The young Dane has been slowly but surely growing his profile with 3 previous EPs and now an outstanding debut album on the label he co-runs: Greta Cottage Workshop. His recent EP on Apersonal also made some serious waves amongst the deep house fraternity. Norm De Plume joins Mr. Fettel on the bill at Culturebox in København mid-July and then the two will reunite once again to play Norm's 3rd & final UK Plumage party for 2015 on 1st Aug and back in East London.

Paying homage to 909 drum and bass sounds, 'Panne AM'' adds even more rawness to Kakudo's style. But as soon as you feel under the spell of his jacking grooves, Kakudo turns on some familiarly nervous siren sound that unmistakably makes this a stand-out track to remember. No escapin' this!


B2: Padkiller
Like you love it... B2 tracks... known to be rounding up an EP with a different twist. Same over here, 'Padkiller' seems a hidden gem. Slowly gaining groove and drive at first. But when those searing synths hit, it's over... Reminiscing of Detroit sounds, Kakudo spirals the sound until you get lost in it's maelstrom!
