Fresh from starting his own label Insult To Injury, Timothy Clerkin returns to Ransom Note Records with the 'Knife Edge Heart' EP. Three tracks of stirring techno for dark basements and warm hearts. Timothy is a very interesting man, but he's also the sort of person who'd rather let his music do the talking, so we'll move on swiftly. The MVP here is 'Knife Edge Heart', an unabashed pop song whose shimmering exterior is cut through with flashes of steely darkness. Frequent collaborator Natalie Reiss' glacial voice is held at the perfect level of remove, while Timothy allows his love of shoegaze to blossom with a guitar line that seems to extend like a ladder to the stars.'With You' bridges Timothy's opposing impulses, balancing sparkling synths and a celestial vocal sample with churning low-end, while 'Divisive' is paranoid warehouse techno at its very best. With his debut solo album out soon on Phantasy, Gabe Gurnsey of Factory Floor stops by for a lurching, seasick remix of 'Knife Edge Heart' that sounds like the onset of the robot apocalypse we've all been promised for so long. After cutting his teeth as one half of Eskimo Twins, Timothy launched his solo career in 2014 under the now-retired Heretic moniker. He's since released on labels including Throne of Blood, Hard Fist and Days of Being Wild. Timothy's last release on R$N was the 'Serenade' EP, which brought us plenty of special moments last year - most memorably Andrew Weatherall closing out his Houghton quarry set with 'Execute'. Here's to many more this summer and beyond.

February 2017, a new label is born. Headquartered in Germany, These Eyes has a clear mission statement: Underground electronic music accompanied by unique design and an uncompromising ethos. The first release comes from founder André Hommen. Having ran New York's Objektivity for many years, Hommen has decided that now is the time to craft something new.

Title track ‚These Eyes' has been played by André over the past 12 months and has received a huge track-ID response all over the web. A future classic.
B-Side ‚Substitute' is made up of deeper shades and pairs up nicely with the title track. The EP will drop on February 24 and will be available digitally and as limited 12 vinyl.

Cleveland is forever in search of the brown note. This is his second offering for the ESP Institute. Side A's Tusk is a beautiful paradox—rhythm programs that churn like the inner workings of a grandfather clock, unmistakably mechanical, yet fashioned through muted analogue instrumentation that paints a deceptively organic picture. The crystallized jangle of FM synth voices toy with the softened drum patterns and vibrant animal-like chord gestures over nearly seven minutes of splendor. On side B, Aku digs further into mysticism, manifesting digital jungle themes, cleverly abstracted through erratic bleeps, distant tribal drums, atonal flutters and synthetic bird calls. The cinematic quality of Clevelands production shines through both tracks, but its Aku that sweeps us from reality to embark on a moonlit expedition in search long lost treasures, proving Cleveland a virtuoso skilled in building complex narratives with sound. These two songs will modulate your frequencies.

Seth Troxler's always dynamite Play It Say It label kicks off 2018 with a thrilling three track EP from Heartthrob.
Jesse Siminski aka Heartthrob has long been an essential voice in the global techno conversation. From early EPs and LPs on the influential Minus label via a trio of releases on his own ISNISNT, he has explored every facet of house and techno in great detail. Always conjuring up bold melodies and slick arrangements, this is his first solo outing in a few years and marks a very welcome return.
The fantastic opening track is 'Stop Lorraine (No One's Gunna Stop Mix)', which is eight freaky minutes of busy tech edged house. A rubbery, kinked bassline drives things along while paranoid voices are staved in amongst falling melodic rain, spitting hi-hats and bouncing kicks. It's colourful and off kilter and sure to awaken any dance floor.
The more trippy 'Triangle' then glides along on deeper drums as knotted bass keeps busy down low. It's a quick, slick track with jerky percussion and sci-fi synths that have the same sense of raw energy as Belgium's famous EBM scene. It's a wild one that builds and builds in ever more arresting ways.
The brilliantly unhinged computer game soundtrack that is 'Nairobi Candles (Fuck Rachel Tension Mix' completes the hat trick. Busy pixelated melodies, shooting synths and wonky piano chords all keep busy above a clipped techno groove that cannot fail to get you up on your toes.
These three tracks are perfectly designed dance floor weapons that prove Heartthrob is still one of the best out there. The release is finished off with artwork based on a painting of Jesse's, featuring one of London's best love industry figures in a homage to one of the 70's greatest soul albums.

CULT-01 sees the first VA release from Southampton natives Cultura. The initial offering from the collective sees imprint co-owner Matt Lee appear alongside emerging names Petrutt, Lucien and Dan Garcia to serve up a four track EP capable of delivering at any time on the floor.

Strange Alliances holds two striking and contemporary tracks by the Tel Aviv native - who also has releases out on Turbo and Life and Death - plus remixes by Trikk and Rebolledo. And so it seems the Amsterdam based label has another winner on their hands. With Autarkic having an exceptional personality one would expect the same from his music. And this is exactly what you get with Strange Alliances, as his originality shines through on both tracks. Interesting fact is that Autarkic used a lot of live instruments and his own vocals on both tracks, adding to the ingenuity of the DGTL 006 release.

Starting with Strange Alliances, which begins with a wavey and rhythmic path until the driving bassline and signature trumpet sounds kick in. Strange Alliances continues into the hallucinogenic vocals and an acid line that is highly infectious and keeps you in a trance until the very end of the track.

The EP moves on to Stutter Jazz; a funky and dreamy rhythmical track with - just like in Strange Alliances - the live elements clearly present too. As the track moves to the end more and more details are passing.

On the B-side Trikk has kept Strange Alliances almost completely in tact, but poured it with eerie sounding, long stretched synth chords that expand on into the break. After this the synths make space for a drum-line until the track fades with just the beat holding up.

Rebolledo tweaked the wobbly bassline a bit and stripped everything off of the track making it stand out on itself while never steering far from the original version.

Every five to six releases DGTL asks a new designer or artist to create the sleeves of the EPs. For the Strange Alliances release Tim Straver and Boris Acket produced one of their 3D designs based on Autarkic's music and a couple of question they asked him.

DGTL is revisiting Tel Aviv for the second time on September 29th for another edition of their festival. Just like last year Autarkic will play one of his live sets during DGTL Tel Aviv keeping the Amsterdam x Tel Aviv connection alive.

The sounds here are diverse, impeccably mixed, arranged and selected by the man himself and will surely find their way into the ears and minds of those who come into close contact effortlessly. From the late night cosmic-balearic feel of the first track 'Flutes Souterraines' to the acid indigestion inducing fingering of the 'Troglo Dance' to the deep cavernous bass-line creepings of 'Ramurc', this collection of six stellar cuts is a stunning return to form and a perfect example of why I:Cube should be regarded as one of the legends! Sable Sheep has fast become one of Moon Harbour's most integral family members thanks to his fresh tech house
perspective. Here he returns with another hot new EP that also features a vinyl re-release of 'Upon Burning Skies',
which proved to be something of a hit on dancefloors across the world this summer gone. Buyers of a digital
persuasion will also be treated to a Dan Drastic remix of Sable Sheep & Fosky's 'Barricades Of Nowhere.'

Despite being on a constant and busy tour of top clubs and festivals across Europe, German Sable Sheep has still
managed to come up with the goods. On 'Cargo Room', a jostling, loopy bit of slinky tech house with warm paddy
kick drums and a sensually teasing vocal snippet that stretches between the beats. The poly-rhythmic effect is
hugely infectious before 'The Forgotten Ones' goes for a much creepier, weirder vibe. This one is all suggestive and
shadowy, with occult synth dots and alien life forms all existing above a beautifully elastic bassline. It breaks and
kicks again at various points and it's sure to have attentive dancefloors in raptures, locked on to every rotation.

'Barricades Of Nowhere' is a collab with rising Argentinian Fosky, who has released on Crosstown and Desolat
before now. This one spits out metal snares, has an urgent alarm-like hook and picks up the pace with its bouncy
techno leaning beats and big hi hat ringlets. Physical but warm and organic it's perfect dancing music before the re-
release of last track 'Upon Burning Skies' - the hard hitting anthem complete with dark but soulful African
murmurings that has made Sable Sheep such a recognised producer the world over.

Closing out another EP that exactly hits the mark and displays Sable Sheep's usual sense of charismatic sampling,
long time label stalwart Dan Drastic re-imagines 'Barricades Of Nowhere' as a spangled, synthetic bit of supple
techno that's loose and rubbery and will have you shaking your limbs like you just don't care.

Mike Huckaby, Bergqvist, DJ Sports, Raam and LNS remix 'Deep Soundscapes', Takecha's album recently released on Sweden's Love Potion.

Released in March, the album incorporates Takeshi Fukushima's work between 1990 to 2013 and affirms why the producer is such a respected figure within Japan's electronic music scene. Now his compositions have been remixed by some of house music's best, featuring renditions from Detroit's Mike Huckaby, Aniara's Henrik Bergqvist, the elusive Raam, Firecracker and Regelbau's DJ Sports, as well as Wania and Freakout Cult's LNS.

Mike Huckaby inaugurates the release with his sultry take on 'Low Sentiment', blending deep synths with murmuring vocals to forge a proper deep house cut. Bergqvist then remixes 'Rhodes Deep' creating a bouncy minimal cut incorporating the original's scintillating melody alongside meandering percussion and twisted effects, making way into DJ Sports' remix of 'Gradual Atmosphere' with its intricate breakbeat drums and dreamlike atmospherics. Raam then reinvents 'Calm Imagination' taking it into subterranean territories complete with infectious keys, until LNS ties it all together with her mesmerising beatless reimagining of 'Factory 141'.

Bulent Gurler AKA Butch, is a DJ, producer and remixer from Germany.

With an impressive DJ schedule that's seen him play at fabric, Time Warp and hold residencies over the years at venues and clubs such as Sankeys Ibiza, Berlin's Watergate and Robert Johnson in Offenbach Germany, Butch has remained consistent and at the forefront of the underground electronic scene.
Butch's newest offering Retechno 2 is a bass heavy, dark, two track techno delight...... The kick drums are intense, the samples interesting and the synths are apparent too Butch's quirky style of production which can be heard throughout the EP.... First up is Magnetic, which has a futurist edge with its spaceship sounds and deep grooves...
On The B Side Antimatter is packed with energy, a driving bass line and fierce drops. Butch's productions are raw, powerful and robust a release not for the faint hearted.

Following on from the epic Hammer e.p. and subsequent remix package, Loft Records return for their 7th release enlisting the expertise of Crawford to provide two original tracks with remixes from Brame & Hamo and Kiwi.

'We Go Back' is a soaring synth driven stomper - building around dynamic arps and heavy bass synths, before a driving kick and soaring pads are brought to the fore to create an expertly produced big room anthem. 'Techno Rhumba' is a chuggier affair laced with spring reverb, floaty arpeggiators, expansive stabs and brooding chords perfect for those early hours of a night.

On the flip side, Irish duo Brame & Hamo are first up to take on remix duties for 'We Go Back'. They rework the arp lines and pads for the intro before dropping it into a tougher techno workout of heavy duty synth stabs, epic ride cymbals and dreamy textures. Kiwi then close out with their reimagining of 'We Go Back' combining a killer tom pattern with those soaring arpeggiators that seem to endlessly resonate around your brain. Two great reinterpretations of what was already an amazing track.

Late Night Tales welcomes back the cult figure and ultimate musical connoisseur, Bill Brewster to compile his second episode of the curated compilation series 'After Dark'. An obscure and timeless DJled journey which begins somewhere out in the near ocean, the waves are rolling and lolling gently into the shore, while a full moon shines on the surface. It's only faint, but somewhere nearby is the sound of bass, pulsing slowly, almost in time to the waves. Welcome back to 'After Dark: Nightshift'. Once again Bill Brewster comes armed with a sensitivity and sense of occasion that few other DJs possess. Delivering another batch of slow cooked musical stews, making sure the tempo stays nice and steady and the emphasis is on funk, soul, grits and corn fried chicken, Brewster has done so much digging, Late Night Tales had to hire a forklift truck and tractor. Among the unreleased nuggets, there's the Fernando mix of The Detachments; inordinate excitement about Gino Fontaine, a tune spotted a year ago but has languished in Andy Meecham's Stafford catacombs ever since. Also unearthed are some hitherto secret recordings between Robert Fripp and The Grid, and there are also some proper club faves here, too, like the daft but brilliant 'Mopedbart' by Hubbabubbaklubb and the luminous 'Boutade' by Mugwump, as well as killer oldies like Salsoul Invention and General Lee

Brothers Black launch the second release on their self-titled, vinyl-only label with dance-floor focussed VA. BRBL002 is a selection artists whom the duo hold in high regard with the addition of an original track.Kicking off the release is the Berlin-based Dutch DJ, Delta Funktionen. Keeping true to the raw, electro-influenced sound he's renowned for, Platform4E is a tough, rolling peak-time weapon that's instantly playable and recognisable. Up next on the A2 is an original track from Brothers Black. Keeping with their groove-orientated, percussion focussed style, Cold Shoulder is a DJ focussed tool that combines quick fire percussion with a rolling low end and sharp FM stabs. Leading the AA1 is one of Detroit's finest, and DJ veteran, Eric Cloutier.
In keeping with his trademark deep but warm sound is Alexithymia. Baltra's Rearview EP is back by popular demand! NYC resident and upstart producer Baltra has humbly created worldwide buzz for his saturated, NY/NJ House-inspired, RnB-inflected jams via a series of YouTube-only music videos, alongside self-released cassettes and tracks for releases on Craigie Knowes and upcoming on Lobster Theremin's Of Paradise sublabel. This blissed out set of tracks had a limited press on Baltra's own 96 and Forever label, and now inaugurates the birth of IDNK.

After hosting Farron to perform for a showcase in Matera, South Italy, and following a solid, immediate aural connection with the crew, XCPT now invites the Bavaria-based artist and Shaw Cuts shaolin master to submerse himself in his talent of wielding harmonious synths, championing percussion and corruptive basslines for the label's third release, 'Bistro Baggio'. The release offers three original cuts plus an interpretation of one of the tracks, 'Paneth', by label honcho Nothus, exploring calculated rhythms and sounds that delve into varying atmospheres and transporting you from a blacked-out club to a quaint starlit stream in the woods.

Mandala Trax aka Shingo Suwa and DJ Mori is releasing a first EP on Merkur Schallplatten.
Shingo has established the Label in 2008.
DJ Mori is working as resident DJ at suicide circus Berlin.
They often performed at many clubs in the city.
Their first collaboration includes two different versions of rave influenced techno remixes by Anna Bolena.

Anna is Music producer, Promoter and Video maker, she is an underground activist since the 80`s.
She runs the label Idroscalo Dischi since 1999 and since 2005 the Video Production Company Idroscalo Digitale.
They both are working as resident for Button's party at ://about blank.

A1, their very first track, is called 11pm. The main solid synth line features deep kick drums surrounded by dubby industrial effects in the background.
On A2 we find a heavy bottom groove, surrounded by echoes in a dark atmosphere. Hand claps and white noises are driving any techno floor.
The B Side includes two different version by Anna Bolena. She produced some 90's rave structures affected by her experimental senses.

Long time scene stalwart Darren Price is stepping out on brand new label, Kilsha Music, with a fantastic EP of monster house tracks arriving on both vinyl and digital.

Opener 'Charm Offensive' is a fantastic ten-minute trip into loose limbed techno. Drums, bass and percussion all wrap and weave around each other and melt your mind in the process. A rasping lead synth eventually becomes the focal point as background chords bring real soul.

The brilliantly bristling 'Everybody Jack (UW Live Maschine Mix)' is a full fat track with busy textured synths, sci-fi effects and old school jack vocals that will really work the dance floor into a lather. It's dynamic and ever evolving, with plenty of tense peaks and troughs throughout to keep the 'floor on its toes.

The final vinyl track is 'This is House Music', a deeper cut with warm, warbling bass and a muted acid line spraying about the mix. It slowly builds the pressure in heady fashion and is one to really hypnotise.

This is a fresh EP from one of the techno scene's most enduring and essential talents.

DUM-033 is another DUM Records reissue with new 13 minutes Mono Junk remix of Detroit Diesel's classic acid track Dimension.

Public Release maintains its coast-switching lifestyle with what is perhaps its most ambitious project—and inarguably its longest —yet, Earth Boys' debut full-length, The eboys LP, the logical conclusion to a chain of collaborations that began, a little over a year ago, with the release of their Trail Mix EP. The two-disc, twelve-track album represents a new high for the pair comprised of Michael Sherburn and Julian C. Duron both creatively and technically; ideas they've been stewing and simmering since their splash of a debut in 2015 are now presented fully baked here.

Eboys was conceived as a classic long-player, with the majority of the tunes having a runtime of about four minutes and the whole thing feeling most satisfying when inhaled with one big tug that gets you from the A1 all the way to the D3. It begins with 'The Intro,' a sort of manifesto for what's to come: here, we find Earth Boys sitting, a little wine drunk, at the piano, attempting a slick jazz lick that sits atop shuffling breaks and is completed with a free-wheeling sax soliloquy, courtesy of local friend Jeff Hackworth. Think of it as Sherburn and Duron's title credits sequence à la Saturday Night Live. Then it's a splash of water across the face and onward to business with "Roll it Back," a flexy, laconic warmup workout that sets the tempo and pace for the party unfolding. The rest of the first side is a woozy, pads-and-vox drenched crisscross through deep house tropes that unhurriedly tumbles into the B-side, a slinky, sharper-focused movement that begins with the G-funk-dusted 'Bossa Nova Gang,' an homage to Bossa Nova Civic Club, the Bushwick dance-music incubator that the boys came up in and around.

With the next disc, Earth Boys nudge the tempo up a smidge and get a little punchier, first with 'Come Thru,' an elliptical party jam with a fat, bouncy bass, then even more so with 'Blue Iris,' a ravey anthem illuminated by black lights and lasers. The journey begins to come down with 'Last Call,' a slo-mo wobble to the bar for one last shot of a perk-me-up, and then folds back into itself with 'The Outro,' a chill-out finale that burns the remainder of the journey down to a sticky resin.

Jonah Sharp & DJ Spun pair up as The Loose Control Band to drop a punk-inspired single on Rekids with remixes from label founder Radio Slave and SHUT boss Ryan James Ford.

Having released a large body of work as Spacetime Continuum (Astralwerks) or alongside David Moufang as Reagenz (Workshop), not to mention significant collaborations with the likes of Terence Mckenna, Haruomi Hosono and Bill Laswell, Jonah Sharp is unquestionably a highly respected producer. His seminal
label Reflective played an important role in the experimental ambient and techno scene during the '90s, whilst as a remixer he's worked with music by Nine Inch Nails, Meat Beat Manifesto and Matthew Herbert.

Meanwhile, Jason Drummond has long been a commanding force within New York's electronic music scene, such as running his prestigious Warm Up Music series or his All Night Rong parties with regulars like DJ Harvey. He's also been DJing and producing as DJ Spun for two decades, appearing on Golf Channel Recordings as well as his own illustrious imprint Rong Music, which used to release music collaboratively with DFA.

'I Don't Understand' sees a raw and uncompromising side to both artists as they layer a cacophony of murky bass, twisted melodies and mind-bending bleeps whilst Drummond's turbulent vocals bellow throughout the mix. Staying faithful to the original, Radio Slave's remix incorporates a heady rhythm with its rolling beat as screeching effects join a moody bassline.

Moving into techno territory, Ryan James Ford's 'Akihabara' remix features rattling percussion and crystalline synths whilst his 'Hope' remix is built on an intricate drum sequence as soaring pads and echoing keys contrast with the original's piercing vocal.

Three new members of the Fantastic Friends family Matheiu, Goncharov and Balinsky have joined forces to deliver two gems. These two tracks with shades of minimal techno will delight most DJs looking for efficiency on the dancefloor. Enjoy without moderation!

Frame Of Mind is a new venture initiated by Gerd: a label that focuses on re-issuing rare and sought-after tracks as well as on releasing new music. First up we serve you this official re-release of Nature Boy's classic Ruff Disco Volume One. This highly in demand double pack goes for mad money on the second hand market, so after 25 years, a beautifully remastered edition is finally here. Nature Boy's sound is best described as a rough combination of disco infected grooves with raw and hard hitting rhythms. Tracks such as The Livin'Groove, Ha Ha, Trackin' and of course Tobago caused bliss and mayhem on dance floors world wide and brought joy to thousands and thousands of dancers, dj's and music collectors all over the globe. This LP displays a fine mixture between house, disco and sometimes even dub/reggae. To this day Ruff Disco Volume One is a timeless work of art.

Right after the Ombra Intl. EP 'Ella' and the Duro release 'Luna', Theus Mago presents a new single, "Inertials", which continues his series of pieces inspired by Philip K. Dick's 'Ubik'. Influenced by the main characters of the groundbreaking sci-fi book, "Inertials" is an energetic breaks track with unearthly vocals that reaches it's peak with a dazzling trumpet-like synth. The single is accompanied by a remix from Mexican producer INigo Vontier, which successfully combines organic sounds with an industrial edge, as well as a take from Jamie Paton (Cage & Aviary) that subtlely evokes the soundscapes of Cabaret Voltaire.

Gerd returns to AUS with The Prophetess EP, a four tracker that showcases a producer capable of soundtracking peak-time moments anywhere and everywhere. The A side leans towards breaky drums and punchy melodies whilst the flip includes two acid bombs. If you're a fan of G's much loved NY Stomp & Geeeman monikers then this release should be no different

Moon Harbour are delighted to welcome a huge summer signing for their next EP: foremost UK producer Huxley turns out three club rocking tunes that all make the big impressions he is known for.

Over the last decade, Huxley has produced a number of huge hits that fuse myriad four four styles into exciting and arresting new forms. His diverse LP from 2014 showed off a range of styles from peak time to downtempo to jungle and came on AUS, while other labels like Hypercolour have also showcased his ever subtly evolving style. Here he is in fine form once more.

First out of the blocks is the summery house bomb that is 'Careo' with its knotted bass, big loopy drums and deep cut grooves. Loose and playful with subtle tweaks and filters, it has big Brazilian Portuguese vocals that are designed to get a huge reaction from terrace and festival crowds, and they surely will.

'F-Bomb' is more direct and physical, with hard hits and solid kicks all overlaid by vocal stabs that are rave-y and fired up. It's a peak time tune to get the whole club punching the air and is another powerful weapon in Huxley's ever impressive arsenal.

Last of all is the trial 'Trampoline', a fantastically fluid house roller with silky bass and muffled vocal chants. It's another one designed for sizeable clubs and summer parties and is sure to drive dancers wild as it twists and turns on tough drums and skewed synths. No one does dynamic and bass driven house as well as this.

These are three charming and characterful house bangers that ooze all the usual trademark Huxley qualities.

Cologne based FEINES TIER imprint presents the second catalog number with ALEJANDRO CASTELLI from Berlin. His NATURAL EP features two original tracks which go by the the name of Peru and Natur. Co-producer is a well known traveling man called NU. Peru is a stomping up tempo piece of sweeping music that blows you off your dirty dancing feet. The second title Natur slows us down a bit and makes us dream of long and warm summer days. It contains a heartwarming vocal sung by his grandma and combines classical South American sounds with a catchy tune. On the flip side you'll find hip shaking remixes by Dutch live animal SATORI and a lovely couple from northern Germany called JUST EMMA. The cover picture is painted by

Look who dug a hole through the Earth... Fresh in Berlin from the subtropic suns of LA, Draveng is coming up in your schrebergarten with a cup of coffee and three exercises for Allergy Season.

Side A... First comes 'Dubious Smink', a rubbery wink of a snake's housework. Then, open up and say 'laaa' for the the vocal mix of synth rearranger, 'No Flex Fit'. Side B: Things get dramatic here. Wilderness whimpers while wind whips water before Moses' staff parts 4 to the floor kicks from divine mathematics. J. Tijn does what he does best and sears "For Thin Soles" into a blown out roller. Because 12" is not quite enough we are including two further digital only explorations of the Smink by Draveng: "Smink's Rusty Tool" and "Smink's Anthem." "The Dubious Smink" is best taken at night with no sleep and plenty of water.

*FYI: Draveng is a recent transplant to Berlin after running the experimental tape label Saskian out of LA. J. Tijn is a rising force in the world of shredded techno after releases on Turbo and Pennyroyal. Allergy Season is the label run by Berlin via New Jersey producer Physical Therapy.

Like changing the channel, changes in one's life can suddenly bring about a new perspective. After moving from Detroit to Seattle, producer Taylor Hawkins suddenly found himself on Flora FM. Previously recording as Community Corporation, this fresh beginning in Emerald City brought new sounds into Hawkins' repertoire. Where he was once surrounded by cheap boogie and disco records in Detroit, Seattle's used bins were full of UK imports, early 90s ambient techno records and the IDM that followed. These new influences injected judicious breakbeats and top notch electro sensibilities into his already adventurous Midwest techno aesthetic.

It's as if his music has come alive, each song a new sound world abuzz with fluttering synths, nimble percussion, and soaring melodies. Recorded as single live takes using an MPC to control his drum machines and synthesizers, the Flora FM music flowed quickly from Hawkins and needed only gentle edits. The eight tracks on his digital debut album, Discovery in the Atomic Garden, document his experience finding his way in Seattle and in life, all through the lens of a fantastic and somehow futuristic musical viewpoint. The vinyl-only EP Atomic Garden includes four of the album's most danceable tracks, all wrapped in gorgeous artwork by Patrick Savile

'Runs so deep it puts your butt to sleep", to paraphrase actor/musician Ice Cube in his seminal hit It Was a Good Day. And it is a good day for lovers of high-grade house music. Szikra is Kornél Kovács at his most wistfully nostalgic. Ultra-smooth keys offset by noisy lo-fi breakbeats and vocals urging you to git fucked up, like Metro Area caught up... in smoke! All the trademark sounds of the Barnhus massive are present - off-kilter playfulness paired with the cocky swagger of a south Stockholm roughneck and an infectious pop sensibility that lingers in your head long after the needle hits the inner groove. The so-called Bónusz Beat is actually a track in its own right, sacrificing most of the hook and the vocals for a dubby smackdown ripe for adventurous dancefloors. Young Stockholm producer Abdulla Rashim closes out the set with a perfectly horizontal techno groove, using only elements from the original production.

Norwegian duo Ost & Kjex have gone a long way: From their debut album 'Some But Not All Cheese Comes From The Moon' (2004), over their much acclaimed spicy second long player 'Cajun Lunch' (Diynamic 2008) and many collaborations with high-flyers such as Solomun ('Federgewicht'), Jamie Jones ('Summer Time') or H.O.S.H. ('Woo Hoo'), they have grown to become one of the few acts that perfectly bridges the gap between Underground Electronic music and Indie Pop Music.

In the blessed summer of 2008 the boys stumbled upon Solomun, the head honcho of Diynamic. A chance meeting resulting in a collaboration track called "Federgewicht", which was their entrance to his highly acclaimed record label.
Hailing from quiet Oslo, there is much time on hand to invest into the more important things in life: Making babies and making music. After about five years since their last album release, lots of touring and working on their signature sound, the two Norsemen decided it was time for another album.

'Freedom Wig' is the title, and it can mean many things: A name for the room you escape into when you listen to music. A metaphor for the sometimes false freedom we feel when we live our quite predictable and structured lives. Or simply a party hat you put on.

The album is laced with contributions by their contemporaries. Anne Lise Frøkedal, Hanne Kolstø, Jens Carelius and Jaw of dOP fame donates their wonderful and distinct voices to the album. Jazz legend Bugge Wesseltoft adds keys and modern composer Ole-Henrik Moe string arrangements. The Traces Gospel Choir brings a touch of Harlem to the ballpark, Nasra Ali Omar marimba, Tore Brevik percussion and Arild Hammerø guitars. All adding their flavour to an album that is rich on tradition but still distinctly modern.

How does Ost & Kjex sound like From the jazzy intro of 'Honky Tonk', over the must-dance bassline of 'ChaChaCha', the tropical wooden xylophone sound of 'Down River' to the almost spiritual hums of 'Easy', this album brings such rich detail that it demands multiple listens to discover all facets of its composition. Versatility is the predominant feature of this album, which mixes Ost & Kjex's soulful vocals with upbeat Electronica sound.

In a scene that is ever so grim it is quite refreshing to see someone with a wink and a smile in their face, and this is what Ost & Kjex have always been about: Bridging the gap between ecstatic live performances in sweaty night clubs and the grandeur of not taking yourself too serious.

Break out Belgian house producer Sjef Wanders follows recent heavily supported appearances on New York's Nurvous Records and 124 Recordings with Don't Front, a two track 12" primed for club play on the Deso Records label. "Don't Front" is deep and dubby house music emboldened by banging low end and it's well complemented by a remix from label owner Desos. The Dane takes things deep in typical fashion, adding a little New Jersey swing and flavour to proceedings .

The Untold Stories are back with the fourth release in their Protagonist Series. Starting their 2016 release schedule with some positive vibes from Something Records boss Stephan 'STL' Laubner, the EP entitled 'Renbual Nahpets', the story: two beautiful dub house originals on the Aside, and a tripped out extended remix by Cleymoore filling the Bside. A welcome return for the label who lit up the beginning of 2015 with an impressive run of EPs and VA collections, looks like more to come this year!

Zoo Lab is proud to present the first vinyl and for this, they have decided to focus on the italian duo Dubfluss which have already released in labels like Moan, Serkal and Bla Bla Music, Yoruba Grooves and more. "Sumobooth" and "Falser Lullaby" reflect their typical minimal dub style, rich of synth, variations and vocals. Two tracks are finely worked to have a great impact in the dancefloor. Near them, there are two very characteristic remixers who have proposed their own versions of "Sumobooth": Arado ( Desolat-Moon Harbour ) with a strong techno version played around the world, from India to Germany, and Neverdogs (Moan-Music On), with a classic tech style version played during Music On parties at Amnesia Ibiza.

Persistence is back with the third release, a new split ep with Manuel Di Martino and the Italian duo Asylum with remixes by Johannes Volk and Jeff Rushin. The A side contains the original track of Manuel Di Martino called "Necessary Phase", engaging groove and hypnotic synth are the right adjectives to describe this track. Volk's remix is inspired to the New York Techno scene with stomp drum, raw groove and marked synth. Side B open with "Substance" by Asylum, this track contains dark and closed sounds, a real trip into shadows. Jeff Rushin revisits this creating a very functional tool, and especially the right mix of dark and dancefloor's sounds.

Following the big success of the TMNG001 catalogue, label-head Yaya strikes back on his own label with another wicked release. His second EP called 'Unconditional Love' also features the first Tamango remixer ever and we're more than proud to have 'Panorama Bar' lady Cassy on board. The EP kicks off the things with entitled 'Unconditional Love' which features Yaya's typical trademark groove with some extra great tribal-drums contaminations combined with a great Caribbean-oriented female chant, giving life to a proper dancefloor burner. A2 is about Cassy. She has been into the music industry since 2003 when she moved to Berlin and she's fresh of her latest album 'Donna' on 'Aus Music' last year. She provides a beautiful and heavier interpretation of 'Unconditional Love', adding crisp percussions and pure analogic spatial pad, creating a dreamlike dimension surrounded by the massif utilization of pitched endless vocals. The B-side contains the dub version of 'Unconditional Love' for the ones who need a precise and outspoken tool without the vocal part. Closing the EP is 'Lone Wolf' which is the prove to dispel any doubt on Yaya's producing skills: the track immediately approaches into softer sonority with nimble analogic and syncopated synths and rapid drums, with hi-hats and shakers only, for another Tamango unmissable chapter.
