REPRESSED !!

Razor-N-Tape continue their 7" series with Outta Sight, two incredibly unique and loving treatments of a soul classic. On the A side we have Kan Sano's signature future soul approach, accentuating the beautiful original vocals with lush pianos and sparse boom-bappity drums. Freddie Joachim flips it for the B side, channeling the juke-joint energy of the OG into a soulful house killer!!

Early Support:
Soul Clap, Hot Toddy, Roberto Rodriguez and Tall Black Guy.

Bordello A Parigi and Nous'Klaer joined forces to release this straight up Rotterdam affair. Long time buddies (and neighbors) David Vunk and Electrick Dragon supplied the music for a split 12". Vunk kicks off the platter with an italo influenced house jam accompanied by a catchy 90's-gabber-Tropicana-style Korg Polysix saw: anthem! On the flip Parkzicht veteran Dragon continues the euphoric vibes with his unique signature sound and makes you scream for endless happy days! A definite must have.

Since its inception in 2009 Slow Motion has set the standard for new wave of Italian dance music producers. With over 15 releases in the archive the Italo/Berlin based label is now about to drop it's first ever compilation; 'Italian Dance Wave'. Bringing together some of the secret weapons that label boss Franz Underwear has had tucked away in his record bag with brand new tracks from the likes of Clap Rules, Bottin and Riders of the Lost Arp this compilation packs a mighty punch with its 22 tracks. 16 of the finest cuts that have been causing damage on the dancefloor will also be released on vinyl alongside the CD and digi-pack versions.

Original Re-press of the Original Italo-Disco Hit Recorded in 1983 by 18-year-old producer Roberto Ferrante and voiced by otherwise unknown Douglas Roop, a soldier who was working at the south Europe NATO headquarters in Naples, ìCome on Closerî was such a classic of early Chicago house that original pressings sell on eBay for upwards of $200. It was sampled on Neon Indianís ìPsychic Chasms,î giving it another small resurgence in popularity online.

The glamorous duo Hard Ton teamed up with the legendary disco icon Paul Parker! A huge disco-house cult explosion as result! This record will take you back to all eras of electronic dance music. A perfect balanced vocal marriage powered with energetic productions which makes you want to move your feet from second one. On top some extra Italian cookery with top notch remixes of the title track by Discodromo and Uabos. Work that body!

For release number ten, Happy Skull have come full circle with the return of original label alumni Adjowa. The UK based producer and musician has fired up his orchestra of rusty, defunct machines to deliver three highly melodic, unashamedly oddball disco jams.

Inspired by low budget, private press boogie, italo and electro records, the tracks were recorded to tape in one take with no post-production and dubbed live on a crackly old desk.

Great SONY artists selection for this number 1 of a new serie : ITALIAN GOLDEN HITS. Artists : Anna Oxa, Renato Zero, Giusy Ferreri, Gigi D'Alessio, Raffaella Carra', Steve Rogers Band, Lucio Battisti, Gianni Moranti .... and more !!!

First 2016 release from Disco Modernism, Milan! Fred Ventura new single is a classic Italoconnection production of a song originally written in 1984 and never finished until today. The new arrangements are almost totally inspired by the first demo and only a few ingredients have been added to the final track.
To complete the package we asked some of our favourite contemporary producers to rework the song in their unique style. Flemming Dalum go back to the early 80's typical sounds for his rework, Phil R rebuild the song with his personal and melodic touch, Codazzi increase the BPM for another of his pumping remixes. The release is strictly limited to 300 12' vinyls, 150 colored copies plus 150 classic black vinyls.
Digital version will be released in February 2016 enjoy it!

Active since 1979 under the name Suicide Commando, the band changed name in 1980 releasing the first demo-tape Dawn and the self-titled mini-album in late 1981. The early records contain a mix of synth pop and new wave/dance songs, while towards the end of the 1980s' Kirlian Camera's music became darker, turning into electro-gothic sound. Nearly every release since then has explored different fields, from industrial to ambient and trip-hop.

I had just opened "Click Records", my record label in the center of Milan, a short walk from CBS. Was in the '80s and in my office there was a constant coming and going of artists, many young talents at the first experience, others already well under way and some who later became famous as Pino Mango and Eros Ramazzotti - with which I composed the song "Un Amico" who later won St. Vincent festival catapulting him to the Sanremo Festival.

One day appeared to me a certain Luigi Fregapane (aka Louis) with a demo by himself produced in Turin. I listened to the track several times, and with a smile to him I gave my OK for that song sketched by hand.

The voice of Louis was amazing, and his dowry of guitarist eclectic and very personal was evident . I phoned Alberto Radius and booked a few days of studio to produce the track we later called "Magic Dance". Once the A side was done , I personally decided to work on a remix to which I gave the name "Pink Footphat" after being delighted observing an infinity of pink flowers covering like a carpet the street I was walking through in Milan.' Original Re-issue of the 1985 Italo-Disco classic...

Neon is not a common name for italian post punk lovers. Born in Florence, the cradle of peninsula's wave, they were probably the first important post punk gothic band in our country and they are still nowadays one of the most active band in 80's Italian new wave time, still marking Italian rock history. The band, which was born first as a duo at the end of the 70's in Florence's undeground culture, soon stands out for its KRAFTWERK and new wave icons' synth, which made their style a unique 80's cultural dream's specimen, together with newromantic and post punk tought of bands like JOY DIVISION, ULTRAVOX and HUMAN LEAGUE. In 1980, the band got off to an electronic start with the single Information of death, and later, through several line up changes, it achieves to synthetize a mix of obsessive electro sounds, obscure athmospheres and quite original pop melodies which take shapes in later works like Tapes of darkness (1981), Obsession (1982), My blues is you (1983), Dark age (1984), in 1985 Rituals sanctioned Neon as the best Italian new wave band of that year. Drums ñ Gianni Cuoghi Engineer ñ Gigi Giorgetti, Stefano Barnaba Guitar ñ Adriano Primadei Synthesizer, Electronic Drums (Rhythm Machines), Tape (Tape Treatments), Vocals, Written-by ñ Marcello Michelotti

Party Apex Newness Dancing Action in short P.A.N.D.A. This was the theme song of the PANDA club in mid 80's Italy where Marcello Bertini aka DJ Arch (Arch stands for architect, he was studying architecture at that time) was a resident DJ.
