'Fields Of Light' is an ambitious compilation release containing 6 tracks by BNJMN, Aroy Dee, Lerosa, Metropolis, Perseus Traxx and Tr One, that focuses on other qualities than the usual style-similarities. Here, the focus has been put on some other aspect; their soulful and melancholic nature. On each side 15 minutes of dreamily emotive and sometimes alienating works from these 6 producers have been pressed. Some of them appeared earlier on Photic Fields, others are new here. Among these works you'll find a deep and multilayered sonic excursion (by BNJMN), a dark, futuristic and movie-inspired piece (by Metropolis) and an emotion-drenched late 80's inspired house music-cut (by Perseus Traxx). Each of these tracks may have their moment to be played, some might work on dancefloors while other are 'just' for the home-listener. But a true sentimentalist should find these moments.

Influenced by the music of Basic Channel and Detroit Techno's generation of Italian-influence Electronic musicians , Roberto Bosco has been able to successfully launch his career in only five years. With releases on many
international labels, such as Night Vision, Be As One Imprint, Applied Rhythmic Technology (ART) and the Wave
Music, a platform created and managed by house music pioneer Francois K. Now, Boscocomes to Balance with an
exclusive project, "Introspective", engaging with more tech-house inspired sounds than any of his previous releases. The first song from this project is "When the Rain Comes Down", a collaboration with Jenifa Mayanja that
offers a smooth deep tech production with spoken vocals and a hook of eternal qualities. Also included in this project is a remix by up and coming young Italian producer Peter JD, who brings more of a club-ready vocal to the table.
Side B is deeper, mind-tingling techno, consisting of two tracks called Untitled. These offering are only available
on this vinyl release and will not be included on the album, nor will these tracks be available digitally. The first is
an appropriately introspective affair, offering hypnotic tribal drums that burn slowly amongst haunting synths
chords. A real slow burner, it undulates slowly and subtley whilst unfurling delicate and complex percussion. Never quite committing itself to the club, Untitled (1) finds its only forceful moments in robotic string stabs that recall
Drexciya's early work, alongside an overarching aesthetic of being in the water. Untitled (2) is appropriately analogue in its sound for this vinyl only release, shrouded in tape hiss and driven by cascading percussion. Dull and
sharp drums bounce off each other against an orchestral melody that brings to mind the work of Kyle Hall. But
Boscohas an exceptional ability to handle simple elements lovingly, and pushes the tone of Untitled (2) towards
the euphoria of 5am sunrises over stark industrial settings. Simply put, there is much to be indulged in here, with a
rhythmic complexity well suited to repeat listenin

After appearances on Werkstoff and Kammer Musik Neal White is back home on Eintakt Records with a quite playful while straight ahead thinking 12 inch. We start off deep underwater with the title track, a melancholic dubtechno drifter with a touch of pop called Goldfish. Enjoyable pianos, a rainy atmosphere, some classic chords and that tasty voice by Klavinora make that track a proper name giver. After that wet A-side we come up afloat facing the Livefish Remix from Rhauder (famous artist on the great label Ornaments) on the other vinyl side, a reduced (even a bit) stoic floor operator, driving us through the confusions of the autumn sea. Coming ashore and meeting Queen Ema is peaceable after all that. Conciliating with the world and weather while getting surrounded by warm pads, curly effects and again the piano hints played by Klavinora

As a follow up to Tyson Ballard's Feel Like I Feel EP Voyeurhythm proudly present remixes from two modern day legends John Daly and Legowelt. John starting things off with a well rounded dancefloor tool the VR team have been rinsing this mix over the summer to great effect and Daly makes most use of the rhodes building up to all the fist pumping action you would expect from such a stellar producer. Legowelt's take on the record heads towards drowned out tape machines, lead lines from the self confessed synth head, simple but complex at the same time are all what we expect from this legend, honoured to put them out on the medium they deserve - strictly limited small batch run. We kick off 2015 with Efde's debut EP for Soweso! After delivering a killer remix for Samuel Dan's 'Shake It' release back in 2011, it's time for Efde to take the spotlight. Efde has been captivating us with his compelling dj sets and exquisite selection at places like Trouw and our Soweso label nights. With his 'Move On EP' this all comes together in a a unique blend of jacking house fuelled with warm pads and techno rhythms. Four tracks that are drenched in Detroit nostalgia, but with a very contemporary vibe and an irresistible groove. The title track has been remixed by the amazing Trus'me. The Prime Numbers head honcho has been making waves in the international techno scene over the last decade with hits like 'Somebody' and his recent album 'Treat Me Right". The remix he did for Efde is no exception; the 'Thrust Mix' is a dark and eerie banger that will leave its marks on the dance floors. Don't sleep on this one!

Dixon Avenue Basement Jams returns with a late-summer BOMB tried & tested in the field with exemplary results. If you've managed to catch the DABJ DJ duo at one of their many outings in Continental Europe, as well as Jackmaster, Optimo and many others this summer, then this will surely be a welcome ID for the many of you who thought: "what the fuck is this!". "Sulta Selects Vol. 1" is the opening gambit of Denis Sulta, pseudonym of a long-time collaborator here at Rubadub, working fearlessly in his studio under the cover of darkness up until now. Sulta's three-track offering serves up masterful edits tied together with his impeccable production work. On the A is "A.A.S (Night & Day Mix)", the track on everyone's lips and undoubtedly set to be one of the tunes of this year. And we don't band that kind of praise around lightly: this is genuinely HUGE. "A.A.L.A.S" kicks the B side off with a majestic filtered and chopped soul cut, and "Saturday Night" finally finishes off the parade with a blazing disco edit hand-built for post-Witching Hour workouts. This whole affair is pure club damage, destined to rock faders from the fjords to the floorboards.

Once again, this release is shipping with a limited print of Dan Axons art. This print is titled "Reggie" after the dog in the DABJ logo.

Compound Trax Vol. 1 MD is the first from our "Trax" releases and its a split EP between Ernie (Minuendo Recordings, Deep Explorer) and Jorge Caiado (Balance, Groovement).

Next up on the Wicked Bass label is newly emergent Detroit talent Manuel Gonzales, aka MGUN. This is a three track EP from the man who has previously appeared on labels such as The Trilogy Tapes and Wild Oats that is aptly titled and that showcases his raw style perfectly. Opener 'Mono Port' is a sludgy, dirty track with scuzzy ambiance, grainy white noise and plenty of grit obscuring buried deep kick drums and raw synth patterns. Second track 'Frosted Lakes' is a just as knackered sounding bit of whacked out techno. Broken kick drums trudge below spiralling synths, static interference and the general imperfect buzz and hum of analogue gear and it builds into a loopy banger that will blow minds as well as speakers. Last is 'Chip Implemented', another dystopian bit of depraved sounding techno with groaning synths, hurried drums and plenty of stormy winds blowing across its face. This is hugely textured, darkly cerebral music that manages to be minimal in design yet maximal in impact from start to finish.

National Geordie treasure Richy Ahmed is undoubtedly an original brother and integral cog in the Hot Creations machine and since his emergence alongside the crew and subsequent blowing up of the scene, Richy has become one of the most sought after and hard-working DJs on the circuit. Now honing his production skills to a fine point, it's no surprise he's been showcasing on the label, with last years 'The Drums' smashing through on all fronts. Richy is now bestowed with the honour of helming the pinnacle 50th release for the ever-ubiquitous label. Lead track 'Sneaky Acid' is a bona-fide bomb for the dancefloor in full rave mode, carrying all the classic markings of a funked up acid trip. On the flip, 'The Bells' part 1 & 2 - already championed by Skream on BBC Radio 1 - is a bass driven banger centred on the hypnotic percussive groove.

Richy has always played an integral part in the label, ranging from A&R to residencies at the global Hot Natured and Paradise events. Having since made an impact at some of the world's best clubs and festivals including, Sonar, Tomorrowland, Glastonbury, Bestival, Panorama bar and London institution fabric, Richy has continually proved himself as an unequivocal party starter.

Armed with an individual sound that fuses the energy of house and disco with infectious funk-inspired grooves and a touch of dark, Richy's distinct style has always been championed by heavyweights in the game such as Jamie Jones, Damian Lazarus, Clive Henry and Seth Troxler. 2013's 'The Drums' was Pete Tong's Essential New Tune and gained widespread support among all the Radio 1 tastemakers including Annie Mac, Danny Howard, and Rob Da Bank. As well as a host of massive remixes for the likes of Katy B on Columbia, Phil Kieran on Hot Flush, Michael Janson on Resonance Records, Richy also had a major coup curating the Rinse: 23 compilation to wide critical acclaim, cementing Richy's status in the nu school elite.

Rogue Society began life as a label in Autumn 2013 with a release from label boss and Bass Culture / One Records / Robsoul artist Jordan Peak featuring remixes from Mike Huckaby and Nikola Gala.
Started by Peak and long-term friend Peter Glasspool, the label is set to feature tracks and releases from the likes of Jay Tripwire, Sam Russo, Dan Curtin And Esteban Adame In it's first year.
Next up on Rogue Society and our first release for 2014 is Argentinian producer Jorge Savoretti (Esperanza, Love Letters From Oslo, Savor) with remixes from the talented John Daly (secretsundaze, Drumpoet Community) and legendary Dan Curtin (Mobilee, Peacefrog) who has provided us a vinyl only remix..

Having closed out 2013 in some style thanks to the inimitable sounds of Hector Couto, Darius Syrossian and Ben Mono, Swiss label Definition: Music picks up where they left off this time around thanks to British duo Origins Sound, who mark their return to the label thanks to the Detroit Cuts EP.
And as you'd imagine from the title, it's abundantly obvious where the influences for this one stem from. Make no mistake, however; this is no flippant, throwaway revival fare, but is instead a series of tracks that celebrate and pay homage to the Motor City's rich musical heritage. The title track illustrates a case in point, with its well-heeled bass timbres and its spiky yet infectious synths leading us down a stuff and stifling path that's laden with sonic nuances and undoubted flair from the first beat to the last.
Middling effort ''Black'' then introduces us to the duo's more introspective side, with its shining, subtle melodies injecting the EP with an almost tangible human warmth. Stuffed full with unsuspecting twists and turns, it showcases the pair's undoubted eclecticism with some panache.
The final twist in the tale is ''Amery'', a track that makes smart use of some lovely samples and a bassline that flirts with peak-time pastures. Trippy but void of novelty and still discerning, it's another track that leads us down a path that's full of hidden crevices and various other nooks and crannies that are worth getting lost in. An extremely auspicious start to the year for both Origins Sound and the Definition crew.

Greek producer laces up 4 tracks that combine textures, pads, rhythms, & arrangements that to feel deep within your belly button. The term House has undergone many changes, but always music that resonates with a listener's soul.

Deetron presents the third instalment from his Character label, melding the aesthetics of rave, the drive of techno and the swing of house.

The Believer is a direct homage to the classic sound of Detroit and Chicago, a testament to when these world beating genres fuse and collide in a tuff jam, full of swing, clout and hard groove. The track takes a skippy approach to the dance-floor, using a fluctuating melodic noise between staunch and punchy beats and double hand claps percussion on the break before hollowed out, bass timbres pulse as the track forms in different poly-rhythmic directions.

Following a lush dub version of The Believer, Deetron teams up with friend and some-time production partner Sebastian Kramer on closing number Dexterity - a trait that's actually become synonymous with Samuel's work over the years. Pitching up the tempo and pushing the beats with more vigour, he steps back from the bounce and major tonal chord hooks of the title track for a Berghain suited minimal romp, while unnerving basslines and synth arpeggios lay subdued behind frantic and hypnotic fare.

Dakini9, co-boss of Plan B Recordings and Sound Warrior Recordings, launches her first solo vinyl 12' EP on Jersey City's Green Village label. In keeping with her previous releases, Dakini9's work is always emotional and cinematic, and here we find her stretching out into tougher beats and speedier tempos. Made for the dance floor, this EP includes a DJ Spider remix on the B side.

Berlin's new hottest residents Eric Volta & Sebastian Voigt team up once again, this time bringing their infectiously deep and dark edge onto the Visionquest imprint. With intoxicating dreamy synths, title track 'Words And Chance' opens up into real groover with the seductively haunting lyrics from rising artist Forrest adding a new dimension. On the flip one quarter of the Visionquest power force Lee Curtiss takes the reins to deliver a chugging dancefloor ready remix with effective play on the vocal. Eric Volta then goes solo with 'One Last More' riding out through rolling percussion with beautiful textures.

Having both spent time in London Eric Volta & Sebastian Voigt have a shared connection to the infamous Lo*kee Sunday parties, with Sebastian being a co-founder and Eric a resident from 2011. The pair also released the hugely successful '42 Weeks' on My Favourite Robot.

Really making his way, Eric made his debut on Claude Von Stroke's Dirtybird Records and has since released and remixed on labels such as My Favorite Robot, Ellum Audio, Nurvous Records and Exploited Records. DJing from the age of 15, Sebastian is now a regular at the likes of fabric, Space in Ibiza and many clubs in his hometown Berlin, such as Tresor, Katerholzig and Weekend Club.Up and coming Forrest, co-founder of Amadeus Records, is one to keep an eye on. Having recently had his first vinyl release on Play It Down, he also has an album on the way on Louie Fresco's Mexa Records.

First class DJ, producer and live artist, Lee Curtiss has been busy playing all over the world both solo and alongside his Visionquest boys. Catch them this year on their Visionquest Thirteen tour playing 13 special dates at 13 amazing venues. It's definitely a show not to miss!

Nestled inbetween Mark's original cuts is E.A.R. main-man J.Cub, who offers up an alternate interpretation of "Memoirs"l. Taking the vox refrain & weaving it throughout the track like an instrument, J.Cub nudges the tempo up slightly & adds a solid percussive backdrop & a reworked bass groove, creating a cut which is deep enough to warm the crowd but packs a solid punch at the same time

Glasgow based MermaidS have been quietly making waves since 2011 with an infectious blend of choppy edit-style punchers and slow morphing body music.
The duo have already had releases on their own eponymous imprint as well as Nonlocal out of Canada, but made their biggest splash on Ali Ooft's recent FOTO Recordings' sampler EP Four's A Crowd.
Their contribution 'Run With The Night' easily stole the show on the release and made its way into many well respected record bags including Roberto Rodriguez, Ben La Desh, Andy Ash, Martin Hayes of Rose Records and the always on point Sleazy Beats gents.

The tides are steadily turning in their favour and have carried them to Young Adults for their finest material yet.

The Handsome Stranger EP kicks off with 'Cherry Cola', a looped-up thumper that builds on perfectly paced vocal refrains until it crescendos and blasts an unforgettable horn all the way home.

'Signal' revs up gradually and gains momentum with ease, displaying MermaidS' keen ability to chug with the best of em.

Epic QV remix of 24 minutes thats paying tribute to the early electronix pioneers such as Manuel Gottsching or Brian Eno. A deep trip! Elitechnique turns the original in a sublime piece of trippy disco maddness. Well executed remix with loads of additional instruments crafted with care. Elitechnique is adding so much to the seductive grooves and sounds of the original in their tight arrangement which is slowly building taking the floor to higher levels. If you buy 1 disco record this year, this should be it!!

Their debut release marks a further development of the Local Talk sound, balancing between house & bass.

The EP kicks off with 'Nothing Wrong', a track built around a bouncy bass riff that lingers and weaves around a clever vocal splicing.

'In Me' continues where 'Nothing Wrong' left off but adds more depth and ingenious stabs, it's a 100% bouncing track for sure.
Ending the EP is HADE's solo number 'Baphome'. A bass fuelled floor packer with nicely interwoven synths and a hypnotic house groove that remains present throughout the track.

Ultra Knites continue their fine form and unleash the second installmant of the Knite Grooves series. This time round, Sem Marini is handed the A side while Mike Sharon welcomes vocalist Karina Junker for B side duties. There's no need for us to describe the tracks in words, that's what the player above is for. Into the fourth release on the label and many have begun to describe this label's output as 'perfect', Knite Grooves Vol. 2 is certainly no exception.

It's been Local Talk bosses Mad Mats & Tooli's secret weapon during their DJ sets over the past months and have destroyed clubs from London to Berlin.
With a super catchy chord theme, bumpy 4/4 beats and a slight UK feel this is as bad as it gets. It's just one of those tunes you immediately recognise and can relate with.

"Incredibly this is already D'Marc Cantu's third EP of the year following efforts on new label One Electronica and Ansatz.

Of course, he has released on MOS many times before, including 2012's full length A New World. This new EP, Long Weekend, features three new tracks of fully formed house and techno with more than a touch of acid along the way.

The title track opens the EP with a lively house jam that has proud kick drums, plenty of muffled and deeply buried chords and a busy bassline that darts about like a kangaroo on hot rocks. It's propulsive and emotive as it surges along, taking you with it every step of the way. Next up, '1Lb Of Flesh' is a much more jagged and serrated track, mainly because of the manic acid squiggle that runs right through the heart of the slapping snares and icy cold hi hats. Full throttle and as ever delightfully frayed and analogue sounding, it's a real face melter. Last but by no means least, 'Acid Test' is the quickest of the lot, coming over like a slick, powerful fusion of electro and techno that whips and snaps as Dance Mania style snares flap about above a grilling bassline and acid wiggles in and out. It's a busy, fulsome track but never feels cluttered and rounds out another exceptional EP from both MOS and main man D'Marc Cantu."

Never before has Martin incorporated his music so much in analog hardware, field recordings and hidden messages. He has invited orchestral musicians to collaborate on the project and one of his main ideas was to use no samples and generate every sound with a range of classic analog instruments using modern techniques of the year 2013 without loosing the old spirit. Guests vocal collaborations from around the world include Robert Owens, Brothers' Vibe, Delhia de France, Keter Darker and Bajka.Each of them adding their unique character to the album indulging the listener into new mystical directions.

Well respected French DJ and producer DJ Deep joins the L.I.E.S. roster with a new three track ep paying homage to the days of old when house and techno were a fresh and exciting music revolution. Back in 1994, I hosted a radio show on FG98.2FM on rue Rebeval in Paris. For us these were the formative days of the radio, our sounds were not accepted by a mainstream audience and this small and rough station (which is now a well established station) gave us a great opportunity and outlet to play the music we loved over the airwaves with no limitations. For us this was a huge deal, to be able to give a voice to the music we loved and present it to a wider audience with an undying passion and enthusiasm that young djs usually have.

Recently I had posted an archive mix from one of the old shows on the internet and Ron had commented on it. Inspired by these sounds and energy from this time period, I went into the studio and composed a group of tracks with this feeling in mind. Thus this project, which I named Rebeval, as that was the street where the radio's first location existed is now born.

HEADPHONIQ continues to provide service by dropping "DANCIN" by RON TRENT. JORDAN FIELDS comes with a seriously hot 1990's groove with "I FEEL LOVED". Then JORDAN re-edits a lost MORGAN ALEXANDER track and to finish up, LEANDRE offers the deep unreleased mix "LIGNE DE MIRE". HOUSE

Following the debut 12' from young blood Happa, fledging London label Church break into the year with their second official release from up and comer Rumah. Following his debut collaborative 12' on Nineteen89, the double A-side release exhibits a maturing of the producers sound and cements his allegiance to affront, dance floor ready Techno. Both tracks centre around infectious spoken word samples, mercilessly spliced for the benefit of Hughes' exceptionally powerful use of rhythm. 'Stutter' combines bouncy kicks with glitchy percussion, whilst 'Murmur' melds heavyweight grooves with mesmerising, dark acid bass lines and cutting snares.

Church founders Apes & Seb Wildblood's spin on 'Stutter' slows down the tempo into Deep House/Techno territory, with simmering reverbed stabs and atmospheric vocals, this re-imagined cut is tailor made to be used as a solid club tool. James Fox on the other hand provides a slinky interpretation of 'Murmur', Stretching out the samples taken from Rumah's originals and manipulating the evocative, soulful vocals he is best known for.

The release marks an integral step into the early foundations of the promising label, Rumah is showing himself as a definite one to watch. Early support for the release comes from; Bicep, Dark Sky, Ben Pearce, South London Ordnance and Paleman.

For 25 years, Space Ibiza has been the world's most respected nightclub. For many fans and connoisseurs, Carl Cox is Space Ibiza. His legendary nights at the club have always featured some of the most forward-thinking Techno on the island. A staple of the club scene for over two decades, Carl Cox provides a mix combining some of the hottest names in the underground scene with the very best of his Intec label artists.

Kevin Saunderson needs no introduction. Along with Juan Atkins and Derrick May, he can rightfully claim to be the originator of the Techno sound. Hailing from Detroit, Kevin is the man behind the classic Inner City tracks 'Big Fun' and 'Good Life'. Besides, he runs the successful KMS label. His mix features classic tunes by artists of the likes of X-Press 2 and Paperclip People - as well as unreleased gems from the KMS family.



As head of Cr2 Records, MYNC has been responsible for discovering some of the biggest names in Dance music. Eric Prydz, Fedde Le Grand and Chuckie are some of the artists that have had Cr2 as their home over the last decade. A respected producer and remixer, MYNC has remixed the work of artists such as Azari & III, Nervo and Nile Rodgers. A versatile DJ, MYNC has given us a mix of cutting-edge sounds that are currently being heard all over Ibiza with a few trademark curveballs thrown in.

Johannes Albert, the man behind 'Frank Music' and active dj producer, always moves the crowed with his raw deep beats. After a long time of back and forth with JackOff boss Elie Eidelman, the moment finally came together to create the Suburban Dreams EP. Johannes produced two timeless trax and new secret duo BERG joined with a new interoperation mix.

Having emerged in the late 80s, making his indelible mark as a DJ with four residencies in London every weekend most notably at the legendary End nightclub that became his spiritual home for 14 years, Matthew was catapulted into the International circuit. Making music was always in Matthew's blood however and the artist has a phenomenal six artist albums under his belt (a seventh on the way this year) as well as over 120 remixes, and 160 tracks. Moniker Just Be is making its mark on 2012 with releases signed, sealed and delivered on Get Physical, Maison D'etre, Plus 8, and Intec Digital and with gigs at some of the best clubs and festivals on the circuit.

Matt Tolfrey drops the second single from his 'Word Of Mouth' EP this ... via his Leftroom imprint, opting for the infectious groove of 'Encarta' and pulling in Marco Bernardi and DJ Sprinkles on remix duties.
Matt Tolfrey's, Leftroom, imprint has gone from strength to strength over the past seven years, and his debut full length 'Word Of Mouth' earned critical acclaim amongst peers and press alike. Here Leftroom offers up another stellar addition to the catalogue, further showcasing Tolfrey's undeniably on point A&R skills by pulling in sought after artists DJ Sprinkles and Marco Bernardi to present yet another refreshing release from the label.
The original version of 'Encarta' kicks things off here, its cosseting Rhodes melodies, whispering vocal licks, gritty shuffling snares and sheer elegance draw you in, and further display Tolfrey's experience in the industry with its classic meets contemporary vibe. Clone, Planet E and Futureboogie artist Marco Bernardi steps up first to rework 'Encarta', putting a slightly more driving spin on the original number with insistent arp lines, crunchy distorted drums and raw saw wave bass tones thrown into the mix. Bernardi displays his more than capable production skills through evolving melodies and subtle nuances, resulting in an up-tempo, tasteful interpretation.

Last up to close the release is the forever on-point DJ Sprinkles, stamping his signature emotive, ethereal touches on the original. Sprinkles, as he often does, goes to full lengths with an eleven minute mix, meandering through an amalgamation of synth and drum variations with a genuine song structure, as expected it's an intelligent, forward thinking rework.

Middlesborough duo Perfume Advert (Aaron Turner & Tom Brown) follow up their long sold out debut release on 1080p with their first 12' drop 'Kappa Downs' for Where To Now Records.

Side A leads with the 7 minute drugged out deep techno stepper 'Fata', where precise woodblock drums meld themselves around a stark basin of heavy dub and experimental pulsations that are primed for both the dancefloor and in ear exploration. 'Fata' perfectly showcases the duos ability to create something that is both completely 'heads down' and minimal, yet managing to completely burst with light, soul, and bounce - a feeling that continues to flow throughout the whole EP.

'The Fens' follows with a thunk-and-junk percussion, combined with a deep rolling melody, evoking skewed fantasy imagery and absolute pastoral ambience, and 'Creep Pop' closes the collection with the thickest rhythm section, where deep-fried pads, skillfully chopped vocal samples and deep dub textures perfectly melt into each other.

'Kappa Downs' captures the rich, clubbed-up face of Perfume Advert in full flow. The release retains the DIY ethos and one-take production approach of 'Tulpa' but refines the sound palette to suit club-play and party atmospheres. There's a clear step up in this work from the 1080p release - where 'Tulpa' found the duo experimenting with rhythm and texture to a degree that created an almost collage like effect of direction, 'Kappa downs' on the other hand completely breathes the confidence that the strongest moments of 'Tulpa' showcased - the lo-fi grain of their previous work has been dropped and in it's place strides a new glossed out groove that demands attention.

'Kappa Downs' showcases a more functional and direct approach to Perfume Advert's unique take on textural house. The Korg ESX-1 is still the clunky, beating heart of each track, slamming through with throbbing kick drums and fizzing hi-hats swung to the hilt. Brown's ultra-mutated synth work conjures rich, fizzing textures and heavy pulse rhythms throughout the EP. The Korg EA-1, several DIY noisemakers and some other quirky sound generators all find their way into the pieces and Ableton Live is once again utilised as the main production canvas and performance enhancer.

This fall, Trevino makes a rare appearance off the golf course with a four-track EP on his brand-new label, Birdie. Up to this point, the Manchester-based producer's work has been scattered across imprints manned by industry heavyweights like Ben Klock's 'Klockworks' and Martyn's '3024', but now he's made a home for his own relentless output. It was a natural step for a stalwart who never stops creating, and manning his own platform has allowed him to explore the depths of his sound with no holds barred. The EP opens with "To The Core", a driving house track with melancholic synths and metallic percussion. "Warmer" is more of a sunrise jam, it inspires a sense of wonder with gliding synths, yo-yoing melodies, and cute bleep-bloops. The b-side features the more ominous track "Playtime", which develops a menacing edge with a gritty bassline, and "Mesmerize," another psychedelic cut with wavering synths and glittering instrumentation.

Starting in 2004 with 'Made Within The Upper Stairs Of Heaven' and 2008 with 'Toinen', Lindblad has a tendency for symmetry, and now with the release of 'Third Encounter' in 2012 is no coincidence, just a scandinavian way of saying good things take their time and it's worth the wait. Analog synthesizers, sequencers and tape decks are something which are widely used in todays electronic music, but it is the mixture of the old and new - keeping the tradition of live jams instead of pre defined arrangements, choosing high standards in fidelity but keeping the rough feel to it - these elements together keep the sound of Sasse one step ahead of the competition, and why he is considered to be one of the most consistant producers in the scene. While 'Fingers Inc' and '707 Heaven' pays homage to the gold era of Detroit and Chicago house, songs like 'Analog City' and 'Fantazy' brings memories of the mid 90s Sasse material, true Deep House as it used to be done. While 'Alpha' and 'Der Groove' takes a naked live jam approach to how to abuse analog goodies, 'Low Slove' and 'Treat Me' are raw sample based tunes, perfect for a late night dj-set. The album Third Encounter showcases the 20 past years of Klas Lindblad as a musician, dj and sound engineer, one who's seen most of the modern musical styles evolve and dissolve. Always relying on the basic principles of Electronic Dance Music that less is more, Lindblad brings another fine full-lengt artist album out, surely to be considered his finest work til today.

Common Dreams is a new techno project. Serving as both the artist name and the label, it's vision is to bring you a steady flow of futuristic, harmonic and rhythmic techno tracks. 'Data Waves' is a deep and mental journey that is intended to send the listener or dancefloor into a hypnotic state of mind, while 'Twisted Future' is a funky, soulful techno track, also with a dancefloor edge.

Steve Huerta returns to Amadeus with his follow up EP, Apotheke. The transcontinental artist, having recently relocated to Berlin, sees the core of his sound developing, which is especially prominent in a-side belter and title track "Apotheke." The tune, dusted with a slow slung bassline, driving percussion and airy synth melodies, is undoubtedly built for the floor. Backing this you'll find Huerta's joint efforts with ultimate bud Urulu, who's collaboration was last seen on the label in the form of a remix for Huerta's "Take Me Closer" single. The track, entitled "Swing Set," pushes its 4/4 signature through pulsating kick drums, filtered pad work and an unconventionally swung groove.

On the flip you'll find Steve's third contribution to the release, "Kingsley's Groove." given its name as an ode to a feline friend. Backing this you'll find Tartelet Records' own Glenn Astro flipping the track into it's pumping glory.

We at Audio Visual are excited to release our first piece of vinyl and what a great honor it is to have our first release with no other then Mr. Terrence Dixon and Michael Zucker both are no strangers to the underground techno and house scenes with there solid release backgrounds and superb record labels such as Reduction and Finale Sessions. Now we come to this release and we start with Terrence Dixon and the track "MTA" with its fast pace drums and its melodic pads and detroit drive bassline and it is true minimalism to the core. then we go to his second track called "Over The Bridge" one of my personal favorites with more of a bassline driven detroit sound with a slower vibe to it , typical Terrence Dixon sound for sure . Then last but not least we come to Michael Zucker and his track "Foundation Pt.1" which I might add is a dancefloor killer already getting tons of play from the circuit with its strong bassline and its killer acid synths and its wicked percusiions very peaktime for all the right moves. Then we come to the last track called "Reflection" which is very deep lasting piece with its lush pads and its filtered keys and fantastic drum arrangements gives it a different vibe all around.

Late Night Running is a Rotterdam-based multidisciplinary initiative that is created out of sympathy for those who are willing to run hard for their beliefs. When one is sucked through the barriers of time, where days become nights and vice versa, we like to speak of ''Late Night Running''. The first physical effort out of the LNR camp comes in the form of a nicely designed 12'' by the likes of 25 places. This duo has it's roots in the working class city of Rotterdam, but also lived elsewhere for some time, working long nights in the advert industry. They've been based in Berlin for several months in 2012, where the X9 ideas were first created.
Those who are familiar with the city of Berlin will realize that both tracks are in reference to certain bus and metro-lines of the city. In 2014 these well produced tracks will finally see the light of day on a special handstamped 12'' with a diptych silkscreened limited sleeve. It wouldn't be Late Night Running if we hadn't bring in two of the most respected hard working acts in electronic music on remix duties. USA based and well respected ''Aakmael'' delivers an excellent journey of deepness which leans on the use of analog gear and mesmerizing synthlines. ''Innerspace Halflife'' came up with a progressive piece which evokes obstinate feelings that will remind you of concrete buildings and otherworldly enviroments. For the digital release Rotterdam based ''Gitchell Moore'' tops off this special first effort with an intergalactic synth voyage.

There seems to be something in the water when it comes to Texas and Electronics. One of the stand-out talents from that most Southern of Southern states is Submersible Machines. The producer surfaced in 2010 with an outstanding selftitled EP, coming up for a second in 2013, on Dublin's Lunar Disko Records. Tracked down, he's being proudly presented on Photic Fields with Waypoints. Waypoints builds on those early successes, with that delicateness of touch plain to hear. A renewed warmth enters. Tracks wash with a lush and textured sound. Sheer class spills from speakers. 'Porthole' illustrates from the needle-drop what you are in for. A tapestry of tones reveals incredibly emotive electronics. Tracks are sculpted with an awe-inspiring precision, from the wind-swept wonder of 'Murmur' to 303 echoed dreamscape of 'The Searching.' And it is a dreaminess that embodies this EP. Heartening notes and a deftness of style combine to bring beautiful and thought-provoking Techno to listeners. Objektivity is starting the year with launching the long-awaited vinyl-only sub-label called OBJ Analogue. As the name says, the concept behind this is that in order to make the record, it has to be totally hardware based: No plug-ins! Objektivity head-honcho Dennis Ferrer says: "The OBJ Analogue is a special project for me and is dear to my heart because I love analogue gear, vinyl, and hardware, so I keep that side of me happy."
The first OBJ Analogue release is coming by VIVa Music's Steve Lawler, who delivered a very rough two-track EP called - Inna State / Recuperate", produced with the Roland 808, 909 and 606 drum machines. It's been four long years since Matthew Burton last appeared on Connect Four. That 2009 digital only EP got plenty of plays from DJs at the time, but now he teams up with partner in crime Kate Rathod for a full vinyl release on the boutique Tic Tac Toe sister label. UK production duo Matthew Burton and Kate Rathod are Berlin based and make deep and minimal music that often features the vocals of Kate. They run their own label Shifted Flow and have appeared on others like Visionquest, whilst solo Matthew has been releasing for almost a decade on labels like Fear of Flying and Retrofit. Their first track here, 'Drifter', is a long from bit of heady house hypnotism with rubbery kick drums, the slightest percussive rattles and alien squiggles and occult spirits running all the way through it. It's a deep-set groove that is designed to keep you dancing forever, and surely it will for the way it is so expertly reduced to only the key components. Next track 'Fruity Fly' is another underwater rhythm that ebbs and flows freely. Subtle dub techno chords roll across the face and there is plenty f feeling in the dark open spaces all around. Finally, 'Maschine Noise' is just that - a deep and supple groove fleshed out with gurgling machine noises, super-catchy percussive hooks and plenty of bubbly dub. It's deep and cavernous and really draws you into the heart of the track. This is connoisseur music for connoisseur DJs and dancers, and confirms that Matthew Burton and Kate Rathod are two unique voices in the world of electronic sounds.

More than 25 years after releasing his debut single and dancefloor anthem 'Tears' Satoshi Tomiie is set to release his second album in May. This legendary collaboration with Frankie Knuckles, that's now considered as one of house music's most important moments, was only the start of an exciting career. Satoshi Tomiie has been at the forefront of the global house music movement ever since. He released on a variety of labels going from Strictly Rhythm to Sony, toured with the Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto of Yellow Magic Orchestra Fame, worked with artists like Robert Owens, remixed many pop inclined tracks and been praised for his Renaissance compilation in their Master Series. All of this while creating artistic challenges for himself to avoid stepping into a pattern and repeating himself, and keeping up constant global DJ schedule. Satoshi Tomiie, a lifelong student of jazz and classical piano, has always succeeded in adding an extra dimension into his music, and his sophomore album is no exception. While listening to 'New Day' it is immediately clear the accomplished musician has re-invented himself once again.The overall sound of the album is crisp, fresh and ingenious without losing its allure. While some tracks are reminiscent of his early work, others surprise in their richness and complexity. The album starts off with ‚Last Night', a generous intro that leads us to ‚Landscape' and ‚Oddyssey' during which the producer shows us a more undulate timbre.

Let's Play House's latest endeavor is a no-nonsense imprint, simply dubbed LPH WHITE, which, as the name implies, takes a cue from those mysterious, classic, unmarked dance records of years past.

The debut 12' comes courtesy of London-based duo Waze & Odyssey, who, as is to be expected, deliver a couple of top-notch club bangers (the deadly 'Feelin' You' and deeper 'Gonna Make This') that will immediately shred any dancefloor to pieces. The one remix included in the package is by London-by-way-of-Southern California up-and-comer Urulu. (The second WHITE EP will feature four originals by the guy.)

DEETROIT drops a confident 6 tracker that is going many places while still keeping the die-hard UDR fans fed with that raw sound they want! With this fourth 12" you should know by now what to expect. If not, just ask "the Underground, they understand". Bumpin house deepness with that jack-acidy flavor for good measure. Stamped white labels

Jamaican-born, Brooklyn-raised producer Heartbloc provides the standout A1 cut 'Mirage'. Out of a dense forest of percussion emerges a shimmering, refracted melody, turning endlessly inward upon itself, mutating, snaking out of sight and just as suddenly reappearing.
On the B side is R Gamble's remix of young LongIsland Based artist Bosco Clowe's 'Suffication'. It's a gritty, propulsive warehouse-ready techno interpretation of her original mix, which comes next-a rumbling, dubbed-out spacescape painted in tough textures and bouncy rhythms.

Next up on Titanic city, needs no introduction, Nigel Rogers AKA Perseus Traxx has been a staple part on most record bags, a man dedicated to performance outside the box, has produced one of the greatest releases we will surely drop all year.
Some kind comments in our direction had to surly be returned with a request for a release and did he deliver. Nigel's first question was "what do you like" "well we love your M>O>S, Bunker, Photic Fields, Snuff Trax. material," he returned with a little bit of all. I'm not gonna give the whole soaring pads, scraping percussive smears or the frenzied synth lines. This is Perseus Traxx he always delivers!!
There's a rough and raw DIY feel to this music that makes it jump out of the speakers and arrest your attention, as is always the case with Titanic City.

Reference are back on 200 Records! After their stellar 12' 'Ghetto Nebula' on our sub-label 200 Black they return with 'Isolated Rhythm'. The A-Side is an excellent piece Detroit techno that has chart potential this time around. On the B-side we have 'Unified Movement', a perfectly produced dub-techno track in a beautiful atmosphere.

DJ und Produzentin Virginia veröffentlicht ihre zweite 12 My Fantasy EP auf Ostgut Ton. Nachdem ich über die Jahre so viele Kollaborationen und Feature-Arbeiten veröffentlicht habe, genieße ich es jetzt sehr, meine eigenen Tracks zu produzieren.
Mir ist es wichtig, als Produzentin wahr- und ernst genommen zu werden - nicht nur als Sängerin, die auch auflegt. Vielleicht erwarten manche von mir, dass ich auch meinen eigenen Releases viel singe. Über manche Tracks möchte ich aber gar keine Vocals legen. Das wird sonst schnell sehr weich und bekommt eher einen gewissen Pop-Appeal, den ich nicht immer anstrebe. Natürlich verzichte ich nicht auf Vocals, um dann reine Instrumentals präsentieren zu können. Es steckte also keine Absicht dahinter, für diese 12 wenig mit meiner Stimme zu arbeiten.Auf diesem Release gibt es nur Vocals auf - My Fantasy und diese sind mit sehr viel Effekt bearbeitet. - My Fantasy ist im Zuge der Loch & Hill EP (Ostgut Ton, 2013) entstanden. Ich bin damit nie so recht weiter gekommen, wusste nicht, wohin die
Reise gehen soll. Mit einer neuen Bassline kam dann plötzlich alles ins Rollen.
- Fictional baut sich langsam auf. Eine langgezogene Synth-line und ein String sind der rote Faden. Die Bassline erdet das Ganze, während sich dann fast unmerklich eine erste Acid-Line hochschraubt. Der Track zeichnet sich durch viele rhythmische
Elemente aus und wirkt lustigerweise schneller, als er mit 122 BPM eigentlich ist. Durch die Strings und die ineinander verwobenen Acid Lines hat - Fictional aber auch einen träumerischen, fast trippigen Charakter. - Never Enough basiert auf einer sehr prägnanten, funky Bassline und einem ständig
modulierendem breiten String. Der Titel ist vom Drumming her sehr organisch und warm gehalten. Die Melodie verleiht dem Ganzen einen gewissen Happy Factor, und wenn dann noch die Chords spielen, öffnet das den ganzen Track.
Ich finde: Ich habe mich als Produzentin weiterentwickelt. Vieles, was mir vor oder bei Loch & Hill noch nicht möglich war, habe ich mittlerweile dazugelernt. Das gibt mir die Möglichkeit, immer gezielter zu arbeiten - obwohl ich auch noch viel aus dem
Bauch heraus entscheide. Besonders hinsichtlich meines für Ende 2015 geplanten Albums auf Ostgut Ton.

Ben Christensen is a multi dimensional figure in Detroit's musical landscape. For years Christensen has played with a number of acts and has collaborated with many different artists in the city from a variety of different musical backgrounds. "Inouno" is Christensen's debut 12" on his newly found imprint Sector 7G. "Inouno" is 7 minute house groover that nods to the classic house sound of the 90s, while keeping it modern, soulful and funky!! Definitely a new producer to watch out for!

In Munich the sun always shines. Even at night. This Pastamusik LTD is the living proof for that. The sonic power even increased after a DEMO arrived in here by Orient Expense. A Demo by a young talented man carrying the seldom name KAAN DUZARAT. Of course, after listening to his tunes we had to unpack shorts and skirts since the heat started to become unbearable. Finally we concluded that heat in winter is a good thing so we gave the release an earlier release date. Kaan is different he's slow without losing himself into the general discovery of slowness. His tracks sound like they were produced at 40C heat without losing the focus on Techno as its main goal. Rare and beautiful worlds got openend to tbe listeners ears. At his hometown, the young man is responsible for the bookings of Istanbuls Nightclubs Otto and MiniMuzikhall and he also runs his own new label named 'Vesveseve' from which we believe will hear a lot more in the future.The B-Side is a reshape (what an un-German word) by THE ANALOG ROLAND ORCHESTRA in it's unique stylish way and shows us how a Turkish Bazar would work in Munich.

We've had roots in Glasgow's electronic music scene for a while, and we've released music separately in the past, under a variety of names, but none of that is too important. For the past year or so, we've been shacked up in a tiny southside studio making house and techno that we hope will stand the test of time. Our first release is After Effects - a quartet of fresh yet classic productions crafted with love and care for the discerning listener. Another ace from the unsung Antonio Marini, mixing early NSI, classic Detroit and Lift-To-The-Scaffold Miles. Hashman from Mood Hut gets the place kinda cloudy and has to have a sit down, on the flip.

Born and raised in Union City, New Jersey, Nicuri's journey towards DJing and producing took hold later than most. Moving in circles surrounding Exchange Place (DJ Qu & Joey Anderson, David Salazar) helped craft his style of Djing & musical influences. Influences were many, especially growing up in the early 80's, listening from hip hop to new wave & anything in between. His first house & techno experience was in the very early 90's when a schoolmate had mentioned of certain underground radio stations were playing at certain times of the day & night. He was hooked after that. Nicuri spins a range from soulful/deep house to deep techno. His DJ style is careful selections arranged skillfully into to one seamless journey.

Nicuri's first release was on Strength Music Exchange Place 'Ridinthatneedle'. It was a start on his journey to connect with people through his music. His fledgling discography includes releases on labels such as Strength Music, Bliq & Inimeg Records. Current projects include releases with Mora Music. On the horizon for 2014 is to establish his label and continue to release.

After an arduous preparation process, TEAL009 is finally ready to be shared with the world. It consists of four tracks, evenly distributed on the surface of a gorgeous phonograph record, that can also be acquired as four digital abstractions in the format of your desire.
Sonic contributions come from two TEAL newcomers A Sagittariun and Matti Turunen, as well as the return of Jared Wilson to the label with a fresh cut of his own.
The opening drum break swirls into synth-line and syncopation europhoria on Gravitational Push. The droning bassline cuts a groove in the space-time continuum that's so deep, it could put some discussions in Geneva to shame.
The playful arpeggios of Spice Flow mask the underlying moody pads, resulting in an unusually honest piece of dance music.
Flipping the disc reveals a two-track contribution by Matti Turunen, best known from his work as Morphology with CRC. Menacing kicks and synth chirrups begin Substellar Object as a dark chest-rattling piece. However, its sonic frequency emission spectrum eventually widens into a lush composition. When we arrive at the Apoapsis of our sonic orbit, we are met with a stuttering of rhythms and bleeps. An emotional line melody confidently marks the end of our journey.

Contium is a Berlin based techno duo formed by Bruno Giordana and Jonas Schenkyr.
The record opens with "The P-Wave", a heavy bottom-end, dance floor-oriented track, with echoed sounds and reduced grooves creating real club vibes. Feel the great spatial depth given by the air between the beats.
The track on the B Side is called "Aeromagnetic Dub", and this one goes even deeper. The percussion and chords deliver an incredible rhythm that gradually hypnotizes the listener. It features local field recordings and filtered, brushed, acoustic drum-loops.

For his debut on Spectral Sound, San Francisco DJ/producer Matrixxman returns with a strong and versatile four ­track EP. Amulet is rich with analog ideas, and explores his interests in deep Chicago moods juxtaposed with techno futurism. Having previously made a name for himself in 2013 with the well received, underground hit The XX Files, his drum machine-laden rhythm tracks, and melodic experiments have enchanted the hearts of elite dance music tastemakers left and right.

Using a number of classic Roland pieces for this release, Duff fluctuates between bouncing house rhythms and hypnotic techno. Most notably of the latter style is "The Caravan,' with hefty, driving syncopation under scrubbing, distorted hints of melody that fit in perfectly alongside Audion and Spectral itself. 'Venetian Mask' goes deeper with a hint of restrained jacking, calling up summer Sundays and setting up for "Enter Me," an infectious balearic excursion that will stick in your head for days and shows off Duff's ease with composition. Finishing off the Amulet EP is 'Scimitar,' which leans closer to a UK style of dubbed out bass coupled with an estranged yet futuristic touch of deep house.

Following his well received remix of Ane Brun 'To Let Myself Go' on Objektivity just a few weeks ago, it is finally time for André Hommen's very own, first ever solo EP called "The Bottom Line". This groovy number consists of three tracks that are style-wise all very different, showing off Hommen's wide range as producer. EP's title track 'The Bottom Line' was first featured in André's Boiler Room NY set (February, 2014), receiving great response and a massive "Track ID" -explosion on social media. 'Epiphany' and 'Reach Out' on the B side do not disappoint either - as groovy as they are energetic, they would fit well in different stages of any set. After being closely involved with the label for over six years, Andre's solo EP on Objektivity has finally arrived!
