Guri has been on the forefront of the emerging Balearic house music scene since 2011. DJ, producer and one third of the electronic live band Round Shaped Triangles. He has released his music on top-notch labels like Wolf + Lamb, Nite Grooves or Sub_Urban, where he also works as AR. On his vinyl debut, Guri shows us that he feels like fish in the water producing the most undergound side of house music.

The first remix comes by the always amazing Ruff Stuff. His rework is strongly influenced by Detroit 90's techno, with minor and melancholic chords, strong rhythms and an underground and raw sound. Quality at its best! Iban Montero & Jazzman come back to Cyanide to put the icing on the cake with the funkiest thang you've heard in a long time. Yes! These guys have more funk than Shaft driving a Chevelle through Harlem, and this track is no exception. Pure fire!

The title track was previously released around 1997 on the french Apricot records imprint. This 12" however has a different version (the '97 Predeccesors mix) then the Apricot release and features Jerry the Cat & Yamini Nayar. The flip has the unreleased 'I am these roots', also feat. It is claimed that Three is the perfect number. Many fields of human thought have reasoned concerning this number: Religion, Literature, Philosophy. It's an easy number to reach but difficult to cross. Once you cross the Three everything takes other forms. It's a pass, there are those who will perish and those who stops and observe. Some believe that their work is finished there. But there are also those who consider it the closest point to the sky and the stars and draw the strength to continue their work.

Not content with defining the sound of minimal techno in the nineties, Robert Hood has more recently fine tuned his own gospel tinged take on the genre. It comes under the Floorplan moniker, the genesis of which is said to have come to him when awakened by a late night vision. Since 2016, it has been a collaborative duo between Hood and daughter Lyric, and never fails to lead to religious experiences on the dance floor.

With roots in the Detroit techno scene in which Hood first emerged, Floorplan’s sound is embellished with the heartfelt emotions and unbridled passions of Chicago house music. It is heavy and analogue and filled with vigour thanks to the expert drum programming and ever rising sense of euphoria that comes from the well sculpted synths. But it also speaks to the heart and soul and has done since first standout cut ‘We Magnify His Name.’ The pair’s endless quest for the perfect groove continued through albums like 2013’s Paradise - which spawned anthemic singles like ‘Let’s Ride, ‘Baby Baby’ and the massive ‘Never Grow Old’ - and 2016’s Victorious.

The same year saw Hood’s daughter Lyric officially become part of the project. Since then they have taken Floorplan to endless headline shows at high profile clubs and festivals everywhere from New York City to Ibiza, London to Amsterdam. Their electric sets leave crowds feeling uplifted, spiritually awakening and totally in awe. Part of the success of Floorplan is the combination of Robert’s old school excellence and Lyric’s new school innovation: their music, with its big chords and even bigger vocal samples, could be 30 years old or fresh from the pressing plant, such is its universal sense of appeal.

Another new album is due on Aus Music in winter 2019 and once again distills the power of techno and feelings of house music with a certain sense of studio magic that emerges when this iconic father-daughter duo come together. It is rare to make music as stripped back yet emotionally enriched as Floorplan, but this pair do it with ease and a firm focus on durable grooves. Functional but full of form, tense but atmospheric, loopy but ever evolving, Floorplan truly transcend the dance music spectrum.

Delsin presents two supplement EPs to the recently released retrospective compilations of Wladimir M. and Florence. On this first Florence disc its a collection of rarities. The EP opens with Convextions remix of 'The Vineyard', never been released on vinyl before. Second track on side A is the original mix of 'Exploration' as featured on the very first Eevo Lute EP in 1991. Side B opens with Peter Ford aka Baby Ford's remix of 'The Vineyard', originally released in 1996. The EP closes with the original instrumental version of 'Disappointment', to which the lyrics and vocals by Wladimir M. were added later on.

"Megaprojects are by definition large-scale, high-tech and cost billions of dollars, whereas this is a collection of low-tech tracks made with cheap little drum machines and rejected old synths. I composed and mixed to the best of my ability and with hope they'll feel more 'mega' than they actually are. Of course, I've been inspired and fascinated by actual megaprojects since I was a child: imposing, surreal engineering and architecture like giant hydroelectric dams, soaring bridges and exposed-concrete government buildings. This release includes homages to the incredible Manic 5 dam in Quebec as well as the demolished Orange Country Government Center (designed by Paul Rudolph) in upstate New York."

Sebastian Mullaert has always been a seeker and an innovator, so naturally his long awaited debut solo album, "A Place Called o Inkonst" presents an unique artistic concept and a thoughtful exploration of the relationship between sound and space. For several weeks, Mullaert spent most of his time at Kontra-Musik's home base Inkonst, an old chocolate factory turned cultural hub in the busy urban area of Mollan, Malmo city. Working in solitude outside the venue's usual hours, he built his live rig in front of the PA, right in the middle of the dance floor. This figurative role reversal between a dancer and performer allowed him to fully immerse himself in a perspective as close as possible to that of the audience during the process of creation. Mullaert's recording studio lies deep within a beautiful forest in the south of Sweden, a setting which has increasingly made its mark on his music: lush, green and spacious. It's a lovely place that makes for equally lovely music, but contentment is art's worst enemy. The complete displacement during the recording process of this album has affected his music profoundly. Mullaert's usually wide horizon of green hills and tall beech wood is more condensed and focused here, taking the form of urban patterns of life. Shades of longing and melancholy run through the album and those hazy ambient parts are no longer modelled on morning mist, they are exuding from smoke machines. The album is an exploration of improvisation, an approach that has become far more than a method for Mullaert: For him this is a way of encountering the present. The tracks are expressions of chance; collisions and collaborations of sound waves caught in the moment by Mullaert, like snapshots of fleeting harmony. The thematics are always distinct but at the same time ever morphing, pulsating and breathing like living entities. As the music changes we accordingly change with it. New patterns of movement and thought emerge and we improvise to keep up. This is the concept of dancing in its purest form, but also of meditation. A place called o Inkonst is made for both. A place called o Inkonst is Sebastian Mullaert's hommage to improvisation - an approach that is central to his work as a musician, as well as his critically acclaimed Circle Of Live event series concept he launched last year. The here and now is always in a state of flux, so improvising is the only true way to experience the present.

The T.E.N.S label is a home for noted and unknown producers alike to work freely, removing any prior associations, using only pseudonyms.

Delsin turns its attention to the archives of one of the great early pioneers of Dutch techno - Eevo Lute Muzique. The label was founded in 1991 by Wladimir Manshanden and Stefan Robbers (who was already recording seminal early techno records as Terrace for Djax-Up-Beats). Channeling the inspiration of the Detroit originators and mixing it up with their own synth pop and new wave influences, Manshanden and Robbers (adopting the Florence alias) forged a bold aesthetic with Eevo Lute, both musically and visually. This was an early iteration of techno as listening music, with an emphasis on expression and narrative over dancefloor functionality, helped in no small part by Manshanden's striking poetry. This double set of remastered, reissued tracks gathers together the earliest Florence and Wladimir M. material, largely recorded between 1991 and 1994, across five discs - the definitive document of a treasured piece of Dutch techno history. Comes with inlay and liner notes by Oliver Warwick.

Today, a small club called Robert Johnson finds itself in twenty-one years of existence. Taking it by the ac- count of yesteryears jurisprudence, the Robert Johnson club has finally reached legal age.

Back in 1999, the forces behind Robert Johnson, both friends and aides alike, were driven by music and accoutred with a vision, to create a new expansive and collaborative understanding of club culture. To resiliently exist for such a long time, certainly wasn’t laid out in a cunning master plan.

Reeling through the years, we find ourselves in high spirits, regardless of these wicked times today, chuffed and thankful to all the fine people on both sides of the doors, wardrobe, bar, back office or DJ booth: Your love is a life saver2.

Robert Johnson was a master of the American Mississippi Delta blues—a mystical figure, legendary blues singer and guitar player in his own right—who, as the proverbial saying goes, traded his soul to the devil in return for unparalleled guitar skills. Whether this trade actually happened, we shall never know. What we do know is, that Robert Johnson has devoted himself to his music—in this spirit and in our own labyrinthine paths, we devote ourselves to a music club that carries his name. The lines in one of Robert Johnson’s songs advise the living to give all of your spare time, love and to treat her or him, Ed. right, when you got a good friend, that will stay right by your side. A good friend who stayed by our side until his untimely passing earlier this year, was our resident Andrew Weatherall.

Throughout Andrew Weatherall’s decades spanning career, the proper working class lad has been driven by music—not merely into it, as he would have put it, underlining his understate- ment with a chuckle. True to his school of many genres and inspired just as well by literature and art in the far corners, Andrew never would let people know what to expect of him; more often than not testing the musical flexibility and fibre of his audiences, being the notoriously whimsical minister of transcendent expe- rience and alternative fun, who more often than not emanated an air of edwardian dandyism. To the Robert Johnson club and quite a few of its close protagonists, Andrew Weatherall was more than a resident DJ: an excellent spiritual advisor, drawn to subculture and its hidden topoi, who would happily take the piss at any existing rule, as one of his tracks called Frankfurt Advice has literally put it on the record. Few DJs have fully cut the mustard as producers, artists and mentors alike, as Andrew Weatherall has had.

Fail we may, sail we must. Andrew may be physically gone, his spirit and music remains integral and revered at Robert Johnson regardless.

Lifesaver 4 is a compilation as diverse as the nights and mornings on Robert Johnson’s wooden dancefloor. Young talents and seasoned companions have paid their musical tribute in order to celebrate Robert Johnson’s twenty-first year, and to commemorate the sabresonic Captain now resting in his paradise. As the club culture experiences a worldwide disruption in this current stasis, we may find ourselves at the verge of a much needed cultural change. The tracks on this compilation—spread over a sumptuous box set of five vinyls or, mind you, as heavy weight digital files—are the acetates for the future of the Robert Johnson club. At times balearic, discoid, dubby, eccentric, energetic, haunted, lush and raw; they all make the most of it.

Lifesaver 4 is dedicated to Andrew Weatherall: We salute you!

Yore returns after with the first appearance on the label by the Edinburgh-based outfit 2DeepSoul, which counts Brad Peterson and Rai Scott as its members. The two bring a wealth of experience to the project: Peterson's been DJing since the early '90s and since 1997 has appeared on labels such as MacIntosh Music, Moods and Grooves, and his own innershift imprint. His influences include deep house, Detroit techno, and '90s UK electronic music, and his affection for '60s-'70s jazz comes through in Mood Sync's earthier moments, with congas audible in a couple of tracks and a greasy organ solo surfacing in another. Like Peterson, Scott established herself as a DJ before issuing her first release (under the Serendipity name) on Berlin's Mixomat Recordings in 2008 and following it up with outings on Inner Shift Music and Minuendo Recordings. She also shares with Peterson a love for Detroit techno as well as early Chicago and UK house. The opening cut 'Intrinsic' spotlights everything that makes 2DeepSoul's sound so appealing-a breezily swinging house groove, synth treatments that lend the music a dreamily atmospheric quality, a bass pulse lightly tinged with acid flavour, and a main synth melody that warbles like some lazer beamed in from some distant galaxy. Best of all, the cut draws together elements from a number of genres but does so in a way that feels seamless. A little more straightforward by comparison are 'Flow Theory,' which derives its impetus from a chugging house groove and the aforementioned organ solo, and 'Power,' which brings the duo's dreamier side to the forefront in the tune's enveloping production and warm deep house vibe. That they are relatively straightforward doesn't makes them both dj-friendly and equally satisfying on listening grounds.

Part II of the remix 7 series" of Andy Vaz " Straight Vacationing "LP on Yore. Album Tracks getting a re-work on this little beauty are: "Detroit in me " remixed by Patrice Scott & "Stubnitz" remixed by Memory Foundation. Up first, Patrice Scott strips the "Got a little bit o' Detroit in me" vocal away from the "Detroit in Me" original in order to dazzle the listener with endless flurries of melodic and rhythmic cross-currents. Making good on the Detroit connection, Scott amplifies the tune's Motor City vibe with lavish helpings of synthesizers, claps, and hi-hats and amps up its hard-swinging acid-funk groove in the process. Memory Foundation's B-side version of "Stubnitz" locks solidly into a tight mechano-house pulse at the outset, which frees up all kinds of room for tenor sax player Andreas Pasternack to unleash his high-spirited wail. Delsin founder Marsel Van Der Wielen revives his Peel Seamus alias for a debut album proper. The leading Dutch techno label began in 1996 with a cassette-only Peel Seamus release, Publik Draft, which Van Der Wielen primarily distributed through early online channels of communication. There was a small flurry of 12" releases from the project around the turn of the century, but for a long time Peel Seamus has been quiet. Now Van Der Wielen has gathered together tracks from his archives, mostly written and recorded circa 2000, to present the Peel Seamus debut album proper, Susurro. Rooted in the classic Detroit and European techno that Delsin's identity is forged on, it's a deep, rich listen laden with heart and soul to match the mechanics of Van Der Wielen's chosen tools - a masterclass in expressive electronics and a fascinating insight into the musical DNA behind one of the world's finest techno labels.

‘Tangerine serves as a coda to the qualities that have established Celeste as one of the most instinctive and generous underground DJs in the current landscape of dance music. Beginning as a record store assistant at Idle Hands in Bristol and now a fixture of some of the world’s most acclaimed clubs and festivals, Celeste’s instincts and curiosity have forged a musical space that is very much her own. Here, whether in sweat-drenched basements or to vast numbers, she strikes a common cause between the melodic richness of the legacy of the music of Detroit, alongside the natural ease with which she carries across tempos that embody UK Soundsystem traditions. Tangerine is Celeste’s most fully-realised contribution thus far to this continuum of musical culture.

More than that, Tangerine is an innate extension of Shanti’s self, telling stories beyond her record box and delving into her personal history. There is her manipulated voice serving as a bedrock in tracks. There's a kalimba, recorded at her father's home in Chile.

There are, of course, her rich synthesizers that wrap her tracks like velvet cloaks, providing the familiar warmth and colour we know from her work so far on labels such as Idle Hands and Future Times. There’s even her characteristic paintings on the cover. Here, on her very own Peach Discs, the label she co-runs with goodfriend Gramrcy, Celeste naturally delivers her most impressive and wholly personal work.

Creating Tangerine has been a space for Celeste to explore all of this with a freedom that has come with the easing of expectations that an artist earns with the passing of time. Striking a balance between deeper, understated sounds and building gradually towards the fleet-footed bursts of rave energy that Celeste is known for, Tangerine peels back layersof dreamy textures to reveal an optimistic afterglow, reflecting a life devoted to club culture.

“When I made music for EPs, sometimes I felt restricted,” shesays. “I would think too much about creating the moments on the dancefloor I love - seeing visions of ecstatic people hugging, I didn’t give myself free reign to express all of myself. Writing an album made me feel free of all this because it seemed like an open-ended project. I could just keep creating until I felt like stopping”.

Side AA belongs to Son Dos - a creative power plant by two Sweden born men: Barcelona based Marco Gegenheimer and Tapia J. Arriagada living in Malta. Continuing to operate on the very outer fringes of the techno and electronica genre, A Sagittariun returns this Autumn with a new release on Elastic Dreams. Following on from 2013's acclaimed 'Dream Ritual' album and the 2014 single 'The Jupiter Chronicles' EP, the one born under the ninth sign offers up more cosmic techno and astral excursions on the 'Wish You Were There' EP. From the searing techno of 'Loopholes' to the heavy break and subaquatic melodies of 'The Lathe Of Heaven' to the wide-eyed and emotive closer of 'Blakes Vision', another trio of versatile tracks from 'the Archer' here.

Klasse Wrecks is pleased to present a collection of old and new music from longstanding producer Steven Horne aka The Horn. The Horn's productions date back to the mid 90s, his series for Mark Pritchard's Evolution label being a stand out and signifier of a true studio obsessive. Steven Horne's back catalog of unsigned demos runs deep and ranges wide in style and tempos and after remixing his 'Villager' track Luca Lozano quickly signed up to sign on a collection of tracks. The 'Counter Counter Offer' EP collates music produced in-between the years 1994 and 2018 and offers them up as an introduction into the world of the The Horn and his music making process. Melodic and simplistic in style, Horne's music ranges from trippy and playful to deep and ethereal, employing his orchestra of various studio hardware pieces, all working in perfect unison.

Ritmos is the alias of L.A. via Honduras music producer Roberto Espinosa. The Ritmos EP features the magic touch of Detroit keyboardist Jon Dixon on “Finding Who You Are”. The second track “Starseed” takes us on an abstract journey where polyrhythms and moody chords collide. “Words of Fire” �nds the legendary Lee “Scratch” Perry contributing vocals to a primal body mover with it’s fusion of original dub riddims and style over a 4/4 �oor �ller. Finally, Yaxteq’s own Nomadico strips down “Words of Fire” for a retro-futuristic Dub Techno remix .

While "Hexagon Cloud" may be Erika's debut solo release, this is by no means her introduction to the scene. For years Erika has been a member of Ectomorph and co-conspirator of Interdimensional Transmissions, but since these projects play shadowy games with identity and perception, she may just need that introduction. Erika was raised in a household full of Science and Music. Growing up surrounded by discarded computers, she built her own machines and ran a BBS from her bedroom before she went to high school. Moving to Ann Arbor in 1993, she ran into the peripheries of Detroit's burgeoning underground
electronic party scene via her involvement as a jazz DJ and Program Director at WCBN, the University of Michigan's student run radio station. Though she took formal piano lessons from a young age, it was her ability to tame machines that brought her invitation into Ectomorph in 1997.

Her focus in Ectomorph was live analog synthesis and fluid improvisational interactions with Ectomorph & IT founder BMG. As Ectomorph evolved beyond the boundaries of the sullied word "Electro", Erika continued to work with BMG on his other projects, including keyboard work on the "Credit Card" single with Sal Principato. Through years of touring and throwing some of Detroit's finest underground parties, Erika grew and took shape as vinyl DJ and analog composer of her own right.

Composing without the aid of a computer, Erika's system is centered around a rare highly flexible hardware sequencer. The ideas flowed quickly, and what began as an EP quickly blossomed into a double album with the aid of production from BMG. Science and music, dreams of space and icroscopic organisms, mutation of plant life and the birth of stars, all come together effortlessly in her work to sound like post acid techno subterranean spelunking in a quest to return to the stars. Or at least to the northern "Hexagon Cloud" of Saturn.

Erika dreams on the cellular level, or perhaps of transdimensional intelligences moving through strange patterns on celestial objects, working towards a mysterious goal. Her connection to the dreamworld becomes concrete in her approach to music, simultaneously so solid and yet so
ethereal. Erika still finds time to accomplish many things in her waking hours, such as being a member of Ectomorph, co-conspirator of Detroit's Interdimensional Transmissions record label, DJing with vinyl, making music with her pet machines, and running - a freeform streaming radio station. celebrates its 14th year this year, being one of the very first iTunes presets. From 1993 through 1999, Erika was very involved in WCBN in Ann Arbor, as a freeform and jazz DJ, and Program Director.

The daughter of a famed scientist and already running a well known BBS from her bedroom by the time she was 13, Erika is no stranger to expressing her ideas through technology. In 1997 she was handed a TR-606 and asked to join Ectomorph, and has since become an electronic musician of the highest order, focusing on analog synthesis, with live hardware sequencing that allows transformation over time and a deep depth of tone. The release of her debut solo double album *Hexagon Cloud* is due imminently on IT.

The second EP in Vince Watson's DnA series. 'DnA', an almost 20 track album project focusing purely on Detroit Techno and House and what might be his biggest and best album to date. Coming on his own Everysoul Audio label, Vince's 12th album has been years in the making and see's him go directly back to his Detroit roots. 'DnA EP2' features three exclusive tracks of hi tech soul, heart warming melodies with uplifting motor city grooves. All leading up to a full double pack to be released later in 2019. It was being requested to remake Rhythim Is Rhythim's 'Icon' and 'Kao-tic Harmony' by Derrick May himself in 2015 that greatly inspired Vince to begin writing new original Detroit material and was the catalyst for 'DnA's inception. The album is a dedication and reflection of the three waves of Detroit Techno that inspired a generation and countless electronic producers around the globe. Watson wanted to honour this in the music as closely as possible. Hints of Derrick May, Carl Craig, Mad Mike, Juan Atkins, Kenny Larkin, Stacey Pullen and Dan Curtin can all be heard influencing across the album.

Short Attention, a new Mexican record label, appears for the first time in the vinyl world with a solid release in charge of Chicagodeep, co-owner of Perpetual Rhythms a respected record label from Chicago, putting Mexico in the radar of underground music.
Chicagodeep brings us 4 high quality tracks. Side A kicks things off with the electric synths and solid base of 'Flying Waltz' followed by the deep pads and a very powerful piano from 'Control Substance'. Side B show us a very powerfull drums and a growing sick base inside the track of 'Sofia's Rage' that is maybe the crown jewel. To finish we have '11th Chamber' a classic deep space vibe, where intergalactic chords and bubbly electronics gets equal. All four tracks are top notch.

Rising Spanish talent Paul Rudder launches his new label RDDR with the four-track EP ’Chromatic’. The EP explores Paul’s more deep, groovy and dub sides of his music, and it comes with two collabs with his long-time friend Jay Nortown. Vinyl-only release, pre-orders start on the 16th of July.

With the second record for Misfit Melodies and the fourth for the Running Back universe, Robert Dietz solidifies and hones his very own sound. ‘Débuts’ is France-via-Brussels duo, Nikitch & Kuna Maze’s aka Nicolas Morant & Edouard Gilbert first full length album. Building on their collaborative EP “Mush”, ‘Débuts’ continues to explore the melting point between jazz and club culture, interspersed with the signature sounds of broken beat, Chicago footwork, UK garage, Detroit house, and underpinned by their road-tested new live format.

Legendary Detroit Techno collective, Scan 7's 'Burdens Down' release from 2017 was a true testament to their brilliant ability to merge the soulful house textures with the analogue mechanics. Leaders of the Parisian underground, DJ Deep & Roman Poncet, provide the first remix which is all about building incredible tension. Through the combined brilliant minds of Fabrice Lig, Kiko Navarro, Karim Sahraoui and Jean Vanesse, the new musical force known as Quadra 163 has arrived. Working together in Jean Vanesse's Belgium studio, their debut EP, "Spin Coaster EP" was born.

Through intense live collaboration over 3 full days, the results are these incredible original tracks and a remix from the American house legend, Osunlade (Yoruba Records). Belgium's Elypsia Records have an absolutely essential release here for those looking for proper club weapons - each track dreamt up by a crew of producers with decades of critical acclaim and club credibility.

Osunlade kicks off the release on A1 with his rework of 'Spin Coaster.' The remix is a late night machine jam saturated with sharp synth textures and a shuffling rhythm which will lock the dancefloor tightly in place. A perfect blend between House and Techno, it's a shining example of Osunlade's keen ability to capture imagination with function, tension with release.

'Ghetto Beat' steps up as the A2, with a drum heavy cut full of off-kilter hits and tones which twist and turn in frequency and timbre. It's the type of track that will get the crowds cheering and jackin' and dancing without a break. A proper tool to slam into the set whenever energy levels need to lift higher and things need to get slightly twisted.

Title track 'Spin Coaster' sets up the B-side with a master session of prime time techno making magic. A playfully thick bassline resonates in and out of the analog rhythms while a synth tone builds tension over the track's entire duration. A few breaks for the clubbers to catch their breath are placed in the perfect spots - but only for a brief moment before things kick back in.

Rounding out the release is 'Ghetto Train,' an absolutely mental banger designed to melt the minds of those fortunate enough to be on the dancefloor when it's dropped. Relentless rhythms, huge hand claps and a sharp staccato shuffle drive the tune whilst synth stabs grow filthier with each passing phrase. Clearly the results of an insane studio session from the crew.

James Baldwin was an unparalleled master of the written and spoken word. He was best known for his brilliant essays, plays and novels that shone light on his insights into race, sexuality, spirituality and humanity. Baldwin was an incredible orator who commanded the power of words. Whether on the pages of his books or in speeches and debates, he was passionate, compelling and powerful. This EP is the second half of a project that is a tribute to Baldwin. It features extracts from the audio portion of a documentary film shot of a discussion led by James Baldwin and Dick Gregory at the West Indian Student Centre in London in 1968.

Peabody & Sherman is a partnership between Phillip C Hertz and Curtis Ruptash - drummer and bass player respectively. They share common interests in dub, afrobeat, funk, jazz, ambient and improvisational music. They have long histories of the employing 'studio as instrument' approach to recording. The foundations for this EP was P&S rhythm tracks recorded at the Wayback Machine Studio in 2011. Supplemental instruments were layered on to create the final product. The same original sessions were also the source for their James Baldwin EP released in 2012. That EP featured remixes by Area and Afrikan Sciences.

The same concept is applied here, with remixes being contributed by Waajeed and BusCrates. Waajeed is a Detroit producer known for inventive and genre-defying music. He is background includes his work with Slum Village through to the Platinum Pied Pipers and to his work with his own Dirt Tech label today. BusCrates is a Pittsburg based producer known for his inventive use of electric and vintage synths to create deep layers of analog goodness.

Tr One return with 4 very different tracks recorded in one take at their studio in the Irish southeast. 'A Month Has Passed' uses a dubbed out aesthetic merging influences from UK bass and Detroit using shimmering melodic progression. 'The Boutique Of Never Ending Dreams' works towards a synth laden dreamlike peak. 'The Printer' duly merges playful Chicago drums with an organic chord structure to create a head nodding funk. Finishing the EP is 'Road To The Sea', a pensive sway of dubby sonics masked in a fog of reverb.

Tr One are an established name in the Irish electronic music community and are known for their energetic and engaging performances as DJs. They have received critical acclaim for the raw soulful productions from their studio in hometown Carlow, Ireland. They have gained respect for their ability to deftly move between the lines of genres with a strong sense of adventure and connection with Detroit/Chicago/Dublin machine soul. From this they have released music on Lunar Disko, Apartment and Fine Art recordings, with the strains of the US Midwest never far from sonic influence. They have worked in a range of styles from old movie soundtrack disco with New Jackson to punishing techno sharing wax space with the Phantom Planet Outlaws.

Returning to Cadenza Records after two previous singles ('The Motorglider' EP and 'Precursors' EP), Eduardo De La Calle drops 'The Methodical Machines EP' this December on Luciano's imprint. Across two pieces of vinyl, and five tracks, Eduardo flexes his unique sound design of minimal and soulful grooves. Heavily indebted to the classic sounds of the Detroit techno visionaries, Eduardo has built up a solid reputation through his Analog Solutions label, and also through his film production career (check the electronic music documentary 'Beatz' for some insight here). A staunch supporter of all things analogue, Eduardo manages to tease out some highly emotive and melancholic music from the machines. The sci-fi vibes of opening 'Gajapati' build gradually over the brooding and spongy production, whilst 'The Namuci's Mistery' is soaked with pitch bending synths and rasping acidic stabs. Eduardo brings into play his jazz influences on 'Concierto De Aranjuez', floating some freestyle keys and wandering waveforms over a body popping beat whilst the sparse beats of 'The Demigod's Control' are brought to life with the stuttering electronics and rising pads, as ever filled with heaps of emotion and soul. Quickly becoming a key player in Luciano's Cadenza stable, Eduardo continues to produce unique and inspiring electronic music, a quality that the label always strives for, and can be found in abundance on 'The Methodical Machines'. The 2 London DJ's are part of the DNA of the global Jungle / D&B movement and they have remained relevant, cutting edge, authoritative and essential to this truly underground art-form since it's inception. RAGE could arguably be the ground zero of Jungle. The party was started at London's cavernous Heaven club by Fabio & Grooverider in 1988, at the height of Acid House fever that was making it's way up and down the motorways, slip-roads, fields and warehouses of the M25 and further beyond every weekend, troubling the nation, the police, your parents and the press as it went. RAGE was a different beast, it certainly channelled some of that Acid energy but pitted it against the new and exciting sounds emanating from Belgium, Amsterdam, Detroit, Sheffield, Essex and Hackney and in turn created a new style, a new sonic attitude and energy in the process. Rumbling bass-lines, narcotic synth rushes and roughly chopped and sped-up breakbeats all merged into a style that we now know as Jungle. Nothing like this had been heard before, this was a brand new style and it was coming out of London's West End and Fabio & Grooverider were the people firmly behind it.

RAGE is approaching it's 30th anniversary. It's sonic and cultural legacy is still being felt today, Fabio & Groove are still shutting down raves and festivals every weekend all over the world with their superior DJ sets and musical knowledge guided by their pioneering spirit. The return of the EXTERESTRIAL TIME TRAVELERS Aux88, has returned with an all new double LP, Counterparts. Unforgettable bass lines and vocals that make everyone run to the dance floor and ascend to the DJ booth for confirmation of, “who is this?” Side A - starts with the track “INTEL.” The string work and Kraftwerkian tone is evident with this gem. Aux88 takes it even further with a message to the electro haters, “You Don’t Want None of This!”

Side B - “Moon Walker” simply put...that Bass Line...wow! As only Aux88 and a few others can do it ... Detroit styled Parliament Funkadelic funky. Side C - gives homage to the Detroit jitters with the track “Pothole Paradise.” It’s fast funky and not for messing around. As Mike Banks said in the Aux88 documentary interview, “when DJ’s drop Aux88 shit, it’s time to dance and shake that ass!” Pothole Paradise is exactly that type of track....Detroit Proud.
