'Autopilot' is the second single taken from the album 'Light of the North '. Miaoux Miaoux's flair for an insistent and imperious melody strides to the fore. A glittering synth-fuelled hymn to heartbreak, 'Autopilot' incorporates elements of bass and hip-hop, while recalling the stylistic flourishes of Boards of Canada.
The white label 12' EP is limited to 300 copies. The EP features remixes from Auntie Flo/ESA, Tom Furse (from Horrors), Echo Park & Discopolis.
Auntie Flo/ESA kick off with a straight-up, no messin', dancefloor banger African style: earthy conga loops, majestic sounding King Tubby tape delays and deep, dubby chamber reverbs collide to deliver that vintage,
big desk production feel.
Next up is Tom Furse from The Horrors. A simple phrase for you: jaw dropper. Tom goes supremely Gaian on this one, masterfully summoning exquisitely blissed out, choice cuts of shamanic synth work.
Man of the minute Echo Park (with trailblazing releases on Skream's imprint Disfigured Dubz) reverses the vocal Dubstep template and fashions a huge PA tune..

Swink Music Records will turn one this month and we are delighted to celebrate our Anniversary with our first Vinyl release :) We've recruited the tnwo Mancunian's Si Jones & Mike Morgan, better known as the duo 'Si'Ke DJ's', part of the exciting new breed of electronic artists that are emerging from the U.K with releases already on well established labels such as Applique Music and Say Ahh! Records amongst others. We're proud to have them join 'Swink Music Records' with their brilliant 'Snap Back EP'.

With lead track 'Snap Back', the guys deliver another trademark masterpiece. Hypnotic Organ riff, groovy shuffled percussion with deep haunting chords with a real 90's feel to it makes a wonderfully warm dancefloor trip, proving once again why the duo are on the rise this year and deemed 'ones to watch' by an array of big labels.

Tenament Yard craftily uses a "Sade" vocal which effortlessly flows through the track meeting big heavy chords with a killer driving bassline. Already their work has been recognised and supported by the likes of Bryan "Agent" Pepper and Washerman, this is definitely a peak time track that will get the whole club bouncing.

On the B-side Alex Agore's take on 'Snap Back' grabs your attention with the instantly recognisable M1! This perfect peak time weapon is engineered to lock you in the groove with a bouncing bassline, spacey pads and menacing Organ stabs. This is a smash right here - best of global daytime parties be warned!

Rounding of the EP is the remix from 'Malin Genie'. Another producer hot on the heels of Global success, this time from Amsterdam. Malin first caught our attention with huge tracks like 'Eye' and 'Aranoyas' both of which gained massive support on the underground House scene so it was an obvious choice to ask him to do a mix for us and he has not disappointed. A somewhat more relaxed approach that utilizes the parts well while catering for 2 step/garage fans a stripped back version of the original but still packing a mighty punch!

After a couple of house 12s Foto returns to more edit-based territory with its first V/A EP. OOFT! kicks things off by paying homage to the Reverend and the Deacon with Love & Soulsaving. Next up Italian newcomer La Tuerie keeps things loopy, soulful and slow on Filter. On the flip future star Luvless from Leipzig delivers some loping pitch-down house in the form of Motion Clapture and everyone's favourite LA don Cole Medina rounds out proceedings with the downbeat soul of I Like You. Job done.

Magnus International's releases are few and far between. With his solo debut 12"out in 2006 and one in 2009 we can easily classify him as our least prolific(lazy) family member. However, Magnus has that rare gift for melody and drama... the so called Magnus factor. So whenever he decides to lay his knowledge upon you, lend him an ear. Debuting on Full Pupp as part of "Kalle, Magnus & Daniel" together with Kalle Risan SandÂs and Blackbelt Andersen, Magnus helped lay the foundations to what we all know as nu disco/space disco/cosmic disco/scando disco etc.(insert your own silly take on it here).

The Smugglers Inn is an independent radio show/podcast which is produced and presented by Daniel Berman aka Red Rack'em/Hot Coins every second Wednesday. The show began life in 2007 on the newly formed web radio station http://www.myhouseyourhouse.net and soon developed a loyal, musically informed audience due to the diversity and increasingly upfront nature of the musical selections. As the profile of the show grew over time, it began to pick up some celebrity fans including The Boiler Room, Secret Sundaze, Word and Sound and syndication to several more stations including http://ntslive.co.uk/ and http://www.sweatlodgeradio.com/ quickly followed. The popular podcast is hosted on Daniels website http://www.redrackem.com and Itunes.
The Smugglers Inn has become a unique testing ground for new artists and productions and many of todays highly rated 'new school' producers benefited from early support on the show as well as behind the scenes a+r advice from Daniel when approached by record labels after being featured on the show.With a network of talent to draw from, it seemed a logical step to start a record label so this is the first release from what promises to be an interesting series of eclectic, dancefloor focussed musical endeavours from an all-star international cast.

Producer, writer, arranger, engineer & multi instrumentalist Boris Midney was born in Russia but defected to the US via
Tokyo. He had his first US success as part of the Russian Jazz Quartet. Both his parents were musicians and he was
trained from an early age at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. His background in Russia gave him a unique style,
like no other disco artist. And unlike a lot of dance music his richly textured soundscape's can be enjoyed equally at home
or on the dance floor.

Early support by Balearic Gabba Soundystem, Margot, Maxime Dangles, Matt Walsh, Makossa, Santos, Chida (Ene Music), Jerry Bouthier, Wehbba, Dirty Channels...
Tempelhof are Italian's Luciano Ermondi and Paolo Mazzacani, a very musical duo who have already released a much-respected full length on Distraction Records and several well received remixes. Now they debut with a four track EP on the ever-original Hell Yeah Recordings and continue to confound expectations with their pairing of electronica's precision with shoe-gazes textures and plenty of real instrumentals. ove -An Interpretation is the EP's mournful opener. Sparse and alone, it trills with haunting guitar notes as the rueful vocal swims in seas of echo and reverb. Around the mid-way point a cosmic beat kicks in and carries the whole arrangement off into space with twitchy electronics and acid rumbles colouring the background. Glorious Day opens with more thin, vulnerable keys and plenty of echo. The rubbery kick drums comes in immediately here as harmonic notes ring out and rise up toward the sky. It's hurt but optimistic and invites you to get lost in its glistening, swirling synth clouds for five day-dream like minutes.

After 2010's 'Tuning Echoes' Mock & Toof return with their second album entitled 'Temporary Happiness'. Previous vocal collaborators Pollyester & Gavin Gordon are replaced by young Swiss artist Ghostape who features on half of the 10 tracks, the remainder being instrumentals.

The New Sins are back. Don't Break My Heart is balearic, acid-pop with a sunshine lilt. Lou Hayter and long-term collaborator Nick Phillips have made a modern take on UB40's reggae classic, 'Don't Break my Heart'. On this track, Lou's vocal stays reverent to the original, a female response to the former version with an acid-pop backing track.

While not quite as highly feted as his compatriot Danny Wolfers, Rick Van Breugel challenges him when it comes to the sheer amount of aliases and releases he's had over the years since he surfaced on the Rotterdam scene back in 2002. Having adopted the pun worthy Electrick Dragon alias back in 2010 with a release for David Vunk's Moustache label, Van Breugel returns to the name with this thrilling release for the Cyber Dance label. Hardly the most active of imprints, when Cyber Dance do release something it's because it's Italo disco worthy of your attention - the three tracks on Soon As The Stars ensure the status quo remains. Tough and rough, "Night With You" finds room amidst the flexed drums and thick arpeggiated groove to drop some romantic Italo vibes for the lover out there, while the title track could only have come from the Lowlands. Outer galactic synth work abounds throughout, the key lines spiral in and out of focus with hypnotic intent while the subtle yet intricate percussion swims in tape saturation. Some sort of odd laser FX on the two adds that extra degree of individuality to the gleefully effervescent exercise in constantly building joy that is the final track "A Space Connection".

UK producer Jason Courtney AKA Simplicity Is Beauty makes his long awaited Heavy Reel debut in real style with this atomic bomb of an EP.

From the low slung driving bass of title track "I Am Colossus" and massive warehouse filling bonus track "Pressure" to the more stripped back sounds of "The Obelisk", its an EP that crosses genres & straddles the fine line between electro & techno. We're sure it will find a home at most parties.

The newly formed dynamic production duo of "Unsubscribe"- techno baron Dave Clarke & Mr Jones complete the package with their own twisted & distorted take on the title track, evoking memories of some of Dave's classic electro mixes from back in the day.

Just in time for the summer we present to you our fourth release. This time it's a debut release from the new producer Sasha Panic from Malmö. The track is called The Trick and comes with two remixes; one made by Hans Berg and the other one by Luca Lozano & Johanna Knutsson from Klasse Recordings. A slow and funky original track with two dubbed out remixes, all with a nice open-air vibe to them. The amazing artwork is as usual made by Kid Kroft.

Just over a year ago, in July 2011, Harmless Records released their first installment in their new Mixology series, releasing Mixology-The Definitive Salsoul Mixes. This triple album featured thirty-one tracks from disco's premier label, Salsoul. Now the Mixology series will return on 20th August 2012, with Harmless Records turning their attention to another of disco's most important labels SAM Records. Mixology-Sam Records Extended Play is released on 3 different vinyl samplers featuring edits by the likes of Todd Terje, 6th Borough Project, Maxxi Soundsystem & Soul Clap. Before I tell you about the highlights of Mixology-SAM Records Extended Play, I'll tell you about the history of Sam Records.
When Sam Weiss founded SAM Records in Long Island City, New York in 1976, he was something of a veteran of the music industry. He'd been involved in the music industry since the late forties, when he and his brother Hy founded Parody Records. Although the company wasn't a commercial success, and soon folded, the Weiss brothers persevered. Eight years later, in 1954, they founded Madison Records, which was primarily a vehicle for releasing R&B records. Soon, Madison was releasing soul, doo wop, pop, rock, soul and gospel. Madison continued right through until the late seventies. By then, Sam Weiss had founded another record label, Sam Records, which he specifically setup to cash in on disco's popularity.

LPH's second offering from the Dead Rose Music Company is one thing if nothing else: proof of the mysterious Leodensian producer's technical chops and comfort with a variety of dance music. March's Four Songs EP was a triumphant collection of slow-mo disco-house; each tune was a buttery, sweet confection, perfect for penthouse pool parties and early night energy-builders. Tonight is TDRMC exhibiting his honed control of straight-up house. The two originals ('Tonight' and 'Not Enough') are deep, thumping after-hours burners, flush with prominent drums and groovy bass lines, clipped synth stabs, and sultry vocals. 'Tonight' is the obvious fist-pumper while 'Not Enough' is the more subversive surprise attacker.

Ok so here's the last installment in the Creme JAK series. We feel there's not much to add to this concept and over the past few years this kinda musick has found the foothold it lacked when we started this lil' enterprise in the heydayz of beige vanilla Minimal. In any case it seems fitting to go full circle and draw the curtains with an epic disco anthem that might not be JAK perse, but at least coulda woulda shoulda been caned back in the dizzies in all the places that mattered ese! You see, House is a feeling and blablabla.. So here's a final one up your purist backsides as this mystery strap-on crew cuts and tape edits its way through a molten bucket of Swiss cheese and ends up with a dead hooker in the trunk in the process.
