IS IT BALEARIC hit their late 20's with another superb release - this time Craig Bratley steps up with Analogue Dreams
Craig has earnt quite a reputation from only a handful of releases, including the Weatherall favourite and classic cut 'Birdshell' on Instruments Of Rapture.
On Analgue Dreams, Craig lays down a gently evolving, Acid tinged Piano slow burner, all mood and melody.
First up on the remix we have the ever essential Bonar Bradberry who amps things up and takes a clonking bass riff down the Disco for a real good time.On the flip Crimea X pare the musical elements right down and build an epic remix from the raw ingredients, employing live percussion and shimmering synths.
Finally Joe's Bakery dial down the tempo and incorporate some deft acoustic guitar and gentle moodswings alongside the musical elements of the original

Next up on the Psychemagik label Discotheque Wreckers are two super obscure afro disco killers. First up 'Systematic Lover' is a brutally funky, full frontal psyched out disco attack with wobbling synths and breaks that crack every floor. The Flip 'Jungle Juice' a midtempo chugger, drops an evil, hypnotic bassline with fresh harp and congas over tight funky drums, pure voodoo, both sides revealing another niche in the crate diggers never ending repertoire.

After the great Menergy ep, Re-Tide is back on taste Of Honey with a new vintage project, but calibrated for all the clubs around the world. "From The Block" using a sample very famous already taken for the song of Jennifer Lopez. The sound is very 70' with a great groove that will move many heads. West & Girl is a mash-up of Pet Shop Boys' sound and the beautiful voice of Diana. The result is a great Nu-Disco sound for excellent atmosphere. A few copies available!

Standout track taken from DON NINO`s latest album 'In The Backyard of your Mind' (released in May), 'Beats' is about to take over your turntable for good thanks to three new remixes at the crossroads of the indie-pop and electronic music genres.

The original version of 'Beats' is a freaky and well-balanced piece of folk music. Its lyrics are about body transportation and spiritual dematerialization. But in the hands of Chloe, Turzi and Cubenx the beat boxes substitute the drums, the vocals get distorted, the track deconstructs itself as well as the walls fall between the genres.

CHLOE (Kill The Dj) disrupts the voice of the original version and with the help of a monstrous kick and vicious waves pushes the listener 'hands-in-the-air' right in the middle of a boiling Saturday Night´s dancefloor.

Leading figure of the 'Kraut-rock' revival in France, TURZI (Record Makers) starts his remix with the original vocals and guitar parts but then turns it into a highly psychedelic ride on analogue waves driven by a celestial xylophone. A trip heading straight to the stars!

Savvas Karabinos first came in contact with electronic music in 1992, He joined forces with Vasilis Giouvris aka Yosebu in 2000 and under the name Acropod they released their first album on Klik. Savvas is always attempting to challenge himself with the same passion he had and still has for music, he keeps experimenting with different kinds of sounds and rhythms, which brought the wonderful'Words Under The Sun 'to our attention. A thick piece of electronic analogue bliss with a hook to die for, Savvas asked up and coming Greek producer Mikael Fas to remix words under the sun and he delivered with devastating effect. Nick Anthony aka Simoncino takes the helm for the second in the Conservation Dept. series. Following on from The killer Saint Petersburg Disco Spin Club release earlier this year. Already garnering love from far and wide this 4 tracker packs a heavy punch! Nothing short of excellent, as is expected from the talented Mr. Anthony.

Two proper peak time house tracks here from The Organ Grinder blending UK Garage vibes with traditional US House. My Rendition is a refined and warm housey affair which kicks off on a light piano tip before the bass creeps in to disarm and charm dance floors. Vocal snippets drop in over the breakdowns and the tracks irresistible melody to lead it to an intense atmospheric peak. Jersey Jam is a svelte jersey style future groover which sticks to the basic principles of crisp drums paired with a melodic hook set around a simple and quirky arrangement with an infectious vocal gluing the whole track together.

Let's Play House finishes it's first full year with its 12th release, which, like the first—Runaway's Indoor Pool EP—features one original track and three remixes.

The A1 comes courtesy of River & Phoenix, a new nom de disque of Australia's Young Edits. Earlier in 2012, he released his debut EP—Castle Rock—on Editainment, hence the playful moniker. This song, however, is not an edit. 'Follow Your Dreams Pursue Your Nightmares' is a thumping, to-the-point peak hour jam that immediately sucks you in with its densely-packed bass line, sharp snare hits, and choral washes. A barn-burner from start to finish.

The remixes come courtesy of three LPH party alumni/affiliates—Lauer, the Dead Rose Music Company, and Tiago—providing the record with a grip of unique interpretations. Lauer squares up the tune, giving it a harder beat and four-to-the-floor groove. The flip finds Dead Rose injecting a heavy dose of early 90s house mayhem into the mix, namely thanks to a fidgety, schizophrenic keyboard riff. Finally, Tiago wraps up with a smoother, sexier rendering that shuffles along in time with some... aroused female huffing and puffing. Not to be outdone, Tiago submitted a second mix, which is a digital-only exclusive. It's a bit more driven, but just as cosmic and spacey—a swirling synth ditty weaves its way through the track until its abrupt end, making it the most hypnotizing of the bunch. We have just one question: If this is the dream, then where's the nightmare

We are glad to welcome two gladiators of the slow-house game to our comfortable little home. Behling and Simpson have turned quite some heads over the last year with great efforts on their homelabel Futureboogie Recordings and Bristol based Applepips. With their recognizable slow but jacking sound they have now come up with a mesmerizing 3 track counting EP which covers different sides of their varying flavours. ''The Vaults'' will definitely
appeal to house music lovers worldwide, we have even got a little acid touch to close it down. A very special digital remix pack which will feature Rotterdam based ''Last Mood'' and hotshot of the moment Ejeca.

Enzo Elia has been at it again, hard at work in the studio producing his next batch of Balearic Gabba Edits for Hell Yeah Rec. - the fourth in the series. Reception for the project so far has been great, with the likes of Prins Thomas, Sean Johnston, Tim Sweeney, Oskar Hofferman amongst the many fans, whilst Quiet Village have already been caning the A2 from this new instalment. The three tracker kicks off with Psycho Team's - 'Hypno' (Enzo Elia Barini Edit) - in its original form first released back in 1989 on Dance and Waves - and is all about restrained rave chord stabs, a crunchy amen break and layers of found sounds right from some basement party as the sound of voices and whistles are buried somewhere in the background behind intense drums and infectious finger clicks: a classy peak time floor filler and no mistake. And so to Quiet Village's favourite, also from 1989, Psycho Team's - 'Psycho' (Enzo Elia That Morning Edit) which is a much more delicate and moody affair. Watery synths ring out in all directions as gentle melodic rains falls down the face of the harmonised arrangement. Eventually a frazzled synth line takes the lead as strings dart about in the background but never do the knife-edge emotions dissipate. Last but not least is Endangered People - 'So I Want to Say (Ta Ta Ta') (Enzo Elia Ultra Dub edit) which was originally released in 1995 on Mantra Vibes. In the hands of Enzo the track is paired down to a bubbling sonic stew of taught synth lines, analogues bubbles and gurgles and icy percussion. It's a primordial soup of sound that doesn't drop or breakdown, but instead percolates and builds slowly for 7 odd minutes until ending up as a marching techno beat straight from the ruins of Detroit.

Awesome 4 track EP of Balearic sounding club jams from ALISTER JOHNSON (AKA DJ CATALIST) and ANDREW ALLSGOOD (HISTORY CLOCK, RVNG). "LOVE AFFAIR" (an epic psychedelic club groover), "RIVER STIXX" (a minimal percussive cut), "GOODIE GOODIE" (dark disco) and "LIVE SWEATERS" (disco party!). Full color psychedelic labels.

Continuing their forays into the world of yesteryear grooves unabated, those pesky hell-dwelling Lumberjacks are at it again, this time drafting in O Boogie and Red Greg for some disco funk finesse for the smoothest get-downs. O Boogie lords it over the first side, leaning heavy on a rich piano hook that hammers lower register chords over an incessant disco tick, while evergreen track "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" gets re-versioned in such a floor-burning fashion you'll need asbestos boots just to get out alive. Red Greg's "Inner Rhythm" plies familiar tropes into a sweet instrumental groove that makes all the right moves.

With an array of classic remixes under its belt, Domino is proud to release Motion Sickness - a collection of some of the finest the label has to offer- on December 3rd.
Taking its name from the opening track of Hot Chip's current album In Our Heads, Motion Sickness brings together some of the most respected names in dance music with the key players in the Domino roster.
From disc one's swell of deep, sumptuous re-workings of Domino classics including the Grammy Award-nominated Carl Craig remix of Junior Boys' "Like a Child" right through to the more esoteric, obscure and contemporary rebirths like Mike Simonetti's hard-to-find "Champagne Coast" remix on the second, it's a compilation that will work throughout the night and into the morning.
Now with the release of Motion Sickness, these definitive remixes have been brought together for the first time.
Also featuring suitably kinetic artwork from Liquid Liquid's Dennis Young, Motion Sickness puts the spotlight on Domino's previously obscured night-time alter ego.

New Leng signing Auf Togo are the combination of Clement Cachot-Coulom from the Fabulous Penetrators and Sasa Crnobrnja, one half of In Flagranti.
Their combined sound is one of vintage recording equipment and instruments coupled with tweaks and blends from the modern studio. This new 12 for Leng draws on all their knowledge of the past and of the current club scene, effortlessly gliding through deep, warm analogue sounds and tougher studio techniques. Both tracks have guitar work that reminisces of a late 60's West Coast scene laid over strong bass lines and beats giving the perfect mix of home listening fuzz and a late night dance floor.

The Black Madonna builds on a raw, electric Rahaan moment seen in a Youtube video, while Rahaan revisions the same moment on the flip. Ecstatic referencing to the Warehouse, the Muzic Box, Medusas / Larry, Ron. Armando.

Perlon founder Zip, real name Thomas Franzmann, has compiled the latest edition of Fabric's illustrious, long-running mix series, featuring material from Vakula, Terrence Dixon and Kenny Larkin.
With all the verve and blissful energy of his DJ sets Franzmann builds his own musical universe across the mix, unmasking his mysticism at first with the revealing reverbed chants and analogue stabs of Vedomir's 'Dreams' before veering off into the awkwardly sinewy melodic structure of San Proper and Steven De Peven's collaboration, 'Pam Pam'. The poise of the way Vedomir's ethereal opener runs into the clipped drums of 'Pam Pam' sets Zip up for further of these intelligent arrangements. Using these kinds of morphing vocals as a key tool, Zip draws for them on more than one occasion on the first half of fabric 67, using them to slice through the mix, creating these weirdly beautiful moments that serve to mesmerize the listener.He's not shy of using proven dancefloor wrecking tools either, using Nail's 'Till The Feelings Gone' very early on and unapologetically hinging the mix on the 'Moodyfied Mix' of Jovonn's rare 1995 groove, 'Satisfied'. But as much as he's able to let these little moments of release fly out there wantonly, he shows that rare ability of being able to dovetail his more stomping moments with the sparse, disjointed technicality of DJ QU's 'Everybody Dark', the irk of the distorted lead line on The Sun of God remix of Armando & Steve Poindexter's 'Blackholes' or the direct drive

Ilya Santana follows up his 'Running To Your Love' EP with a cosmic eleven track album for Nang titled 'A Western Tale'. With releases on Tirk, Permanent Vacation, Hoog Choons & Gomma plus remixes for the likes of The Human League, Space and Lindstrom under his belt, Santana has garnered a reputation over the last 8 years for quality in the realms of Disco, Funk and House.

Following on from the success of their debut release 'Baia 2012', hailed by influential critic and blogger Philip Sherburne as one of the top 50 records of the year so far, secretsundaze resident and co-founder James Priestley and studio partner Marco Antonio return with 'Speed', for their second release on the ever-evolving London based secretsundaze stable.

Much in the same way 'Baia 2012' did, 'Speed' harks back to a legendary time in club land, but this time much closer to home, to Speed at the Mars Bar in London, where the likes of LTJ Bukem were resident in the mid 90s and spun their 'deep and beautiful rollin drum and bass'. As many of you will know, atmospheric strings, techno inspired basslines and amen breaks were the order of the day. Amen.

'Speed' pays homage to those times, but updated for the dancefloors and headphones of today, essentially as a patient, restrained, synth-layered and organic, percussive techno record. A tight 909 kick, Prophet 5 pads and sampled Maracas and shakers, make way for an incessant bassline and nostalgic vocal sample, the same one used by Bukem himself in his landmark track, 'Horizons'.

All in all, another essential release from the secretsundaze label showing the production prowess of one of it's founders James Priestley, alongside partner Marco Antonio, rounding off what has been a great year for the label as well as the parties here in London and around the world. In the words of Maya Angelou, 'the horizon leans forward, offering you space to place new steps of change'. Here here..

A towering talent in the future house scene and one of Bristol's most adored exports, Eats Everything is about to deliver his first full EP for the kindred spirits at Futureboogie Recordings. Displaying his softer sound palate, the mid-tempo grooves of the aptly named 'Slow For Me EP' are more slinky than slamming but every bit as cheeky.
Described by Resident Advisor as a purveyour of 'full fat house', Daniel Pearce aka Eats Everything follows up the monster 'Vertigo EP' on Dirtybird with an altogether moodier trio of tracks to usher you gently into the the wintry months ahead.
A-side 'Tone Music' builds with a melodic structure of electronic droplets as rattling percussion does the driving. A n injection of techno wonk stabs blended with pitched down RnB sampling, 'Tone Music' is a sonic patchwork of futuristic beams and bleeps, synth shards, and shakers.
Moving into crackling, dubby terrain, 'Lo To Hi' is a spooky affair with solid claps and a nifty little bassline groove. As warped vocal snippets float into the atmosphere, the swirling pads serve to envelop the senses and build a sense of tension and drama up to the break.
In keeping with the slower vein and bathed in warm, ethereal pads, 'Doldrums' builds with distorted synth melodies and chopped up vox until the rise of drums, and unexpected drop of heavy bassline throb along with subtle twists of acid swerve into the mix.

Spectacular Italo disco 12' featuring two superslick synth-groovers from the mighty Klein & MBO, aka Mario Boncaldo and Tony Carrasco, whose genre-bending electro-Italo proto-house sound hit big on both the NY disco and Chicago house scenes of the early 80s. Side A slides in with the deeply electro 'MBO Theme' whose killer blend of disco-tinged techno beats, quirky 80s robotic rap-style lyrics and catchy guitar licks was a huge favourite of masters like Frankie Knuckles, Larry Levan and Ron Hardy eventually being covered by Chip E for his 'MB Dance' track on the seminal Jack Trax EP . Flip over and you are treated to the the aptly named 'Wonderful'. First we have the fantastic eight-minute disco-dub version featuring the gorgeous sweet vocals of Rosanna Casale followed by the hugely in-demand instrumental version. Sounding almost like a live mix, this tech-heavy beauty punches out synths and drum machine effects that are way ahead of their time! Minimal Italo production at its best, these tracks were played to death at The Warehouse, The Paradise Garage and The Music Box and are still DJ favourites today. Don't miss out!!

A founding member of legendary Bristol sound-system collective The Wild Bunch (which spawned Massive Attack, Tricky and much more), Nature made NYC his home in the early 90's & went on to collaborate with the Major Force crew in Japan, before hooking up with GC boss Phil South, who thankfully persuaded him to don his production cap once again.
There followed a series of acclaimed 12" releases through GC which developed a trademark sound, a sound he's fully realised on 'Return Of The Savage'

The Copenhagen based producer and DJ, is back with an exceptional remix package on hfn music. Having dropped the stunning Fool album earlier this year, we are now treated to several stellar remixes of one of the standout tracks, the third official single 'Bohemian Soul'. Kasper had a memorable experience in the Laid Back studio, enlisting both vocal, guitar, 808 and some crazy SH-101 psychedelic acid synth bass jams, of the pioneering 80's outfit responsible for crossover classics 'Bakerman' and 'White Horse' - Bjørke brings things bang up to date with a sparkling, ferociously epic dancefloor burner. Bjørke´s standing on the international electronic music scene is once again evidenced by the quality of the remixes he can call on. The vinyl release features New York's disco turned rave royalty Still Going (Dr. Dunks from Rub N Tug and Liv Spencer from House of House), delivering a signature 10-minute trip into psychedelic discoid goodness that holds the tension and key elements from the original version - underpinned by a relentless krautrock-meets-Donna Summer groove. On several occasions the track threatens to spin out of control, but somehow maintains its delirious tension for the duration. On the flip, Hamburg's Adana Twins, the duo that has gained tremendous success recently on Exploited Records, supply their 'On A Cloudy Day' remix, making perfect use of the iconic vocals to produce a thoughtful and deeply grooving house cut. The track's neurotic synth makes an appearance half way through before the sunshine peaks through the clouds with a classic white-island breakdown. Tambien's remix also get a vinyl release, and adventurous DJs will appreciate this slice of late night knowledge - the additional percussion bounces around the rolling bassline, balearic guitar and unsettling synth stabs.
