PRETTY TITTY - Originally hailing from Staten Island, NY, Seattle's Pretty Titty (Clayton Vomero) is a living example of East meets West. His promotional career started at age 15 at clubs like Limelight and Tunnel, but these days he's best known as the founder of Death of the Party, the promotional company behind Seattle's infamous club night Sing Sing, destination for Seattle's hardest partiers and the artists that inspire them.

The unstoppable Spaziale Recordings set their sights on an absolute Paradise Garage classic from 1982 - the much sought after and instantly recognisable ‘Together Forever’ by Exodus. This fully licensed, remastered reissue comes housed in a full picture sleeve and contains a killer DEF Mix from Stefano Ritteri alongside the original extended vocal and dub versions.

Bursting with passion, ‘Together Forever’ is a record that was destined for greatness. A Larry Levan favourite, and for good reason. Produced by Errol Mattis and featuring one of the most sampled vocals in house music, there’s a triple threat of plucked basslines, clavinet power and joyful horns backed with the kind of percussion that ignites a rarely witnessed tribal energy within. It’s had crowds in fits of frenzies ever since its release and every collection deserves this gem nestled within it.

As well as the original extended vocal and dub versions, Stefano Ritteri steps up to add his own special touch, giving it some proto house power. He echoes and manipulates those fiery vocals, introducing each element gradually from the acid tinged topline to the layers of drum machine heat, gradually building the suspense to pure fever pitch.

Returning with another debut release, Second Circle's eighth record to date comes this time from young Viennese musician Giuseppe Leonardi. Performed on an array of synthesizers and experimenting with spoken word and vocals from various local singers; Giuseppe's 'TBC' EP take us on a dance through the catacombs and out through the jungle floor with ritualistic rhythm and haunting song... Whilst at other moments Giuseppe's horizontal ambient pieces leave us gazing out on the shores of a distant half-remembered planet.

Javi Frias is a DJ and producer from Madrid that has been playing soul, funk, disco, boogie & house since the mid nineties in clubs and festivals all over his country and Europe. Always looking for soulful records around the world to make people dance, his DJ sets are ever elegant, addictive and eclectic, full of energy and mostly on vinyl. In the last two years he has started to produce his own disco edits, respecting the sound of the original but adding some retouches to make them perfect for the dance floor.

Spring Theory alumni Keita Sano returns to deliver the latest EP on the San Francisco/Paris-based label. Titled Miles, it's an adventurous sample collage of a three-track EP that showcases the rising Japanese producer's knack for crafting unusual yet effective cuts for left field dancefloors.

The EP begins on a jazzy tip with the sample heavy drive of the titular "Miles." Deep and percolating, it features a jigsaw puzzle of piano riffs, vocal blips and symphonic murmurings that build into one neatly designed sonic sculpture. Never one to be satisfied with the ordinary, Sano breaks it all down with a trumpet-led interlude that evokes the muted coolness of the track's namesake.

"Blue" constructs a similarly jazz-indebted sonic tapestry. Its chugging, almost tribal drums provide a trance-inducing rhythmic base for a moody mix of saxophone wails and lush keyboard runs.

And while jazz may seem like an overarching theme, Sano finishes the record with a blur of digitally chopped ritual chanting on "Varna." Complete with jittering voices, droning gongs and weaving calls to prayer, it's the kind of weirdo psychedelic track that'd perfectly soundtrack the shift from a late-night to an early morning.

You may be thinking " uhhhh, another MJ record reworked " but this one is different for sure.Around 1978, Michael did a cover of Bob Marley's " I shot the sheriff " which not too many have heard. Kon goes to work on this one, chopping it up and adding s special touch to it..dont be surprised if you hear some very familiar guitar from one of Disco's most prolific genius' who is still on the scene today. On remix duties Kon brings on board a man who has been making waves as of late, Scott "That Man Monks" and he delivers. Monks takes things into a much more housey, trackier vibe reminiscent of a moodyman record we all love. The result is a hypnotic groove that should work well on the floor.
Lastly kon cooks up some proper warm, sunny, poolside beach vibes reworking a big MJ hit from the 80s, while also paying homage to Nas and Large Professors 90s classic "It aint hard to tell"

Andre and Mura Faria are brothers based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Aldo is the uncle of Andre and Mura, a dedication to a once wayward character. Uncle Aldo had had an edgey lifestyle in 1990’s Brazil. He would take the young brothers on journeys into Sao Paulo’s dark underbelly, scenes of illegal car racing, suspect back-alley negotiations, football gang violence and carnival parties, all soaked in alcohol. The wide-eyed brothers took it all in and later, remembering tales from their youth, pieced these together with beats Mura had begun to develop, as Andre picked up the bass. The brothers added to the live band and began gigging regularly on the Sao Paulo music scene, picking up attention from the Brazilian media and quickly growing a following. Offers of shows came and ALDO became a staple of the Brazilian live scene, in time supporting the likes of Caribou, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and in 2018, opening for Radiohead at the Allianz Park Stadium. Sonically, Aldo sits comfortably next to bands such as Cut Copy, the early !!!albums, WhoMadeWho and Metronomy. An EP is planned for release later this year and a full length album will follow in 2020.

Friends since as far back as kindergarten, the b0ka players released a selection of highly regarded singles between 2013 and 2016, with their music arriving via prestige imprints including Eskimo, Paper Recordings, Diamond Club, and their own b0ka Recordings. They've since pursued a diverse range of projects, including Lakehouse, OJKOS, Bjørnar Sira and Den Kosmiske Overorden, with their expansive sounds routinely winning admirers throughout the global music community. The pandemic-induced lockdowns allowed the band an opportunity to re-visit long lost b0ka projects: reviewing dusty hard discs before funnelling the best morsels into the Sagrada Jukebox mixtape earlier this year. It was during this journey of sonic rediscovery that the masterfully diverse 'Forever, My Friend' was ushered into existence.

Drawing on all-manner of far-flung influences and brilliantly assembling the components with a pop-ready sophistication, this is spectacular work from b0ka, marking their return to release action in breathtaking style.

Mahjong Room is the second album Cameron Lew released under the artist name Ginger Root which explores his coming of age and discovery of his own signature sound; self coined as Aggressive Elevator Soul. Self Produced and Performed, this album marked the beginning of Ginger Roots' rise in popularity outside of his Huntington Beach hometown. Lew was still in film school at the time of recording and releasing Mahjong Room. His attention was equally focused on the music videos that were made for singles `Two Step', `Call it Home', `Jeanie', `Mahjong Room', and `Ohio'. Becoming a signature of Ginger Root releases, the video treatments of songs were humor-filled and directed and produced by Lew himself. Catching the attention of other touring indie acts Ginger Root spent most of the fall of 2018 on tour with artists Khrunagbin, Duran Jones & The Indications, The Marias, and Omar Apollo.

Hard-Fi make their welcome return with brand new single ‘Don’t Go Making Plans’ on Ignition Records. Their first new material in ten years, the track marks the first taste of an EP of brand new songs, as well as a big UK headline tour this November. Rolling around a sun-scorched groove and boisterous beats, ‘Don’t Go Making Plans’ is an immediate, soul-infused summer anthem, recorded at the band’s own Staines studio, produced by frontman Richard Archer and long-term contributor Wolsey White. It’s the end result of the first session together since 2011 album Killer Sounds and follows a series of sold-out tours and live shows over the last 18 months - listen here. As with many of the band’s songs, there is a thought-provoking depth behind Hard-Fi’s pop sensibility. The song’s defiant themes were initially inspired by the UK Government’s attempts to criminalise many aspects of popular protest through the 2022 Public Order Act, while the issue has been thrown into even sharper focus over the last year as police and people have repeatedly clashed on streets around the globe. ‘Happiness, Guaranteed’ is about the cyclical nature of our modern dissatisfaction. It’s a brief dive into the frustrations our desires bring in our attempts to reach a level of contentment. Each song explores the pursuit of happiness within our relationships, our work, and our wealth all whilst finding ways to be content with what you have whilst balancing a desire to grow. Having come off the back of touring our first record Shadowboxer we were keen to get back in the room together and start writing new material. Traditionally we had taken the approach of writing sketches alone and sharing them with each other in the studio. We wanted to shake this process up and decided to rent a house, set up our instruments, and play freely together with no expectations, we did this over a couple of months. A lot of the music we made during those sessions felt like new territory for us and a move in the right direction. One of the first songs we landed on was MORE, which is based around a character disillusioned by their desire for consuming possessions. It’s a tongue-in-cheek exploration into how we’re sold happiness with what we can buy, something which we all really resonated with at the time -filling our apartments with furniture, buying gear, and settling back down into a post-tour life. Don’t Wait was another important piece of the puzzle. It’s a song that reckons with a break up and greeting the great unknown. It was a more joyous moment in the record, touching on the freedoms of growing up and having a better understanding of who you are and what you want in a relationship. The Trouble with Us was a similar exploration but focused more on the pain and frustration of a relationship ending. Throughout the record there’s this desire to arrive, to reach what we’ve been promised in life, a sense of completion and happiness.

Cycles is a concept which is deeply intertwined with everyday life, both on a micro and macro level. They manifest in various natural, biological and societal processes, influencing our daily routines, behaviours and the world around us. Unconventional rhythms and time signatures, complex patterns, evolving modulations and shifting textures were created and used to present it (Cycles) as an integral part of our existence, shaping how we navigate to the world, make decisions and experience the passage of time..." Kostas Giazlas (Onepointwo). Kostas hails from Thessaloniki, Greece, and describes himself as a keen record collector, who is "always trying to emulate a musical journey into space, time, memories and frequencies". With Influences ranging from late 50s electronic experimental sounds, motorik krautrock bands, lush shoegaze melodies and modern electronica, Onepointwo seeks to crystallise this musical backdrop via judicious use of minimal arrangements, abstract and distorted shortwave radio signals, dystopian soundscapes made up of both digital and analogue sources, all punctuated with heavily affected percussive sounds. The listener is drawn in by the psychedelic impact achieved through repetition. Onepointwo's previous discography ably demonstrates his consummate skill in this field.
