This is an alternative hits collection. Marc Bolan wrote and astonishing amount of non-album B-Sides for his singles, which are collected on this release.

In 1986 The Cramps released one of their most well known and best selling albums, A Date With Elvis, which did especially well in Europe. On 21st of April of that year, the group led by Lux and Ivy, rolled into Zurich to perform in front of yet another full crowd of adoring fans. As they did the entire tour, the group opened with a rollicking version of "Heartbreak Hotel", followed by several other classic covers, and of course, what Cramps show from '86 would be complete without "Can Your Pussy Do The Dog." Numbered limited edition of 349 copies on yellow and red splatter vinyl.

In between the release of legendary LPs, D.o.A: The Third and Final Report of Throbbing Gristle and 20 Jazz Funk Greats Throbbing Gristle performed at the Factory in Manchester. This live recording captures the industrial pioneers at their peak. Numbered limited edition of 349 copies on blue and red splatter vinyl.

Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia are thrilled to announce the release of PZYK Vol.2 - a deluxe triple vinyl compilation celebrating the latest stars in the neo-psychedelic firmament.

The release comes one year on from the original, scene defining release PZYK Vol.1, which was named Piccadilly Records 'Compilation Of The Year'.

With guest turns on every track, Georgia explore a new approach to studio production, incorporating the sounds of world and jazz music into their digital funk and combining and processing improvisation and composed elements to create a unified, distinct voice. This approach can be heard on Ama Yes Uzume,' as a primally incandescent vocal from Caroline Polachek (Chairlift) blends with glistening waves of piano and synth to form a euphoric rhythm that materializes out of curved air. Blending live performance with sampling and editing, Georgia constantly revise and revisit their work, breaking down, collaging, and
refracting sounds.

On lead track Slow Dance,' vocals by performance artist India Menuez waft over a loping bass line
(sampled from a performance by Matt Werth of RVNG) while digital flutes cluster in the background. The outcome is a kind of new age mutant funk, not unlike the sound of Annette Peacock or 23 Skidoo jamming in the studio with Jon Hassell. Additional collaborators include avant-garde harpist Mary Lattimore, saxophonist Wednesday Knudsen, and Gabonese vocalist Abang Essone Sarah Maya. As the title suggests, this is music of many multitudes.

Belgian guitarist/vocalist Thomas Werbrouck (Little Trouble Kids) has a new project called KRANKLAND, a four piece band with Christophe Claeys (SX, Magnus, Balthazar) on drums, Thomas Mortier (Yuko) on bass and Janko Beckers (Faces on Tv) on guitar. The group's upcoming album 'Wanderrooms' is recorded by Pascal Deweze (Metal Molly, Sukilove) at Studio Jezus.
This project by singer-guitarist Thomas is meant to be a tribute to his musical heroes, ranging from songwriters like Nick Cave and Tom Waits to experimental artists like Jonny Greenwood and Dirty Three - blending personal subject matters with a radical experimental approach. But in the end, KRANKLAND mainly sounds like KRANKLAND - which is definitely worthwhile to check out!

The Zodiac: Cosmic Sounds was an album released on the ELEKTRA label in August 1967 in the U.K. It was heavily played by John Peel on his Perfumed Garden shows, where he used it as a basis for a competition (He had been sent a copy by Clive Selwood, the then head of Elektra's London office and later to become Peel's manager).
The LP was extremely popular with Perfumed Garden listeners and was mentioned in the lyrics of Geoffrey Prowse's fan tribute to the program, The Perfumed Garden Blues, or John Peel's lament'.

The 12-track concept album featured both music and spoken narration on the theme of signs of the zodiac. Based on an initial idea by Elektra chief Jac Holzman, it was a collaborative effort with music written by Mort Garson, words by Jacques Wilson, and narration by Cyrus Faryar. The early use of the Moog synthesizer was by Paul Beaver. There was no artist called either The Zodiac or Cosmic Sounds, a fact which confused some buyers of the LP. The back sleeve informed listeners that the record "MUST BE PLAYED IN THE DARK".
In 1994, Peel played the LP again in full over three months on his BBC Radio One shows in a regular spot shortly after the 5.30 news on Saturday afternoons, to follow a similar run through the 'Astrology Songs' album of Harvey Sid Fisher.
Peel contined to broadcast selections from the 1967 LP into the 21st century, usually coupled with more contemporary tracks with similar themes. On 13 August 2002, he commented:
Hasn't really stood the test of time terribly well, but at the same time, clutches at the heart slightly.'

Stirring up down 'n' dirty rock 'n' roll, swaggering blues, doomy metal and strangely sexy funk into a grimy cauldron, the Pennsylvania quartet - Brandon Yeagley (lead vocals, harmonica), Chris Bishop (guitar, vocals), Jake Figueroa (bass) and Paul Figueroa (drums) - make rock music gonzo again by blasting it to outer space.

Following the release of 2014's 'Something Supernatural', Crobot tore up the road back on Earth. They'd share bills with the likes of the legendary Motörhead, Anthrax, Volbeat, Clutch, The Sword and more, in addition to performing at festivals such as Download, Shiprocked, Motörhead's MotörBoat, Rock On The Range, Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Graspop and Rocklahoma, to name a few. Along the way, they landed coverage from
Rolling Stone, Metal Hammer, Classic Rock, Kerrang and many others.

Towards the end of 2015, the boys began plotting their next move. During downtime with Motörhead, they carved out a week for pre-production with Machine (Lamb Of God, Clutch, Gym Class Heroes) in Austin, TX, sowing the creative seeds. We played so many shows since 'Something Supernatural'
came out,' adds Brandon. Going into 'Welcome To Fat City', we knew what worked on stage and what didn't from the last record. First and foremost, we boil down to a live band. If something doesn't feel good up there, we push it aside. That helped pave the way for this new music.'

Following recording, they turned to Alan Moulder (Foo Fighters, Wolfmother, Royal Blood, Led Zeppelin, Nine Inch Nails) for mixing. The opener and title track shuffles between a big drum beat, wah-wah-ed out guitar licks and howling vocal delivery. Not For Sale' steamrolls with an aggressive energy
that T-bones on a big, brash and bombastic chant about standing up for yourself as a human being and not letting anyone take advantage of you,' as the vocalist puts it. Everything concludes on the stampeding crunch of 'Plague Of The Mammoths', hinging on an ominous bassline and swell of
feedback, emitting a thundering send off.

It's called "Siberia Reloaded 2016" and is ' a work in which Aperture reincidono their first album in 1984 with the addition of 6 new pieces inspired by the sounds and moods of the time. The album sees the collaboration of Gianni Maroccolo ( sounds , treatments , noise ) . CD Edition

Yuri Mendez started working on The Collapse in the early months of 2015, when, struck by conjunctivitis, he found himself sitting alone in the dark with an irresistible urge to make new songs. With his MD's severe voice resounding in his head, telling him to not, repeat, not go near any kind of bright light, he turned on his keyboard and marvelled at the tiny, definitely not bright, red and green dots lighting up on the machine, barely illuminating the black and white keys. He started tickling the ivories, and the seeds for The Collapse were sown.

Fast forward to November 2015, when Yuri, stepping out of the darkness and into the light with 20/20 vision, joined another Lovemonk regular, Bart Davenport, at the Punta Paloma studio. There, they recorded and produced the record with the help of Shawn Lee, one of the hardest working men in show business, and Yuri's long-time friends and collaborators Charlie Bautista and Javier Jimenez.

Two weeks later the album was ready, but when Yuri returned to Madrid, his life became the reflection of one of the new song titles: everything collapsed - his private life was a shambles, he quit what you may call his day job, he lost a few friends, several of his guitars fell apart, he was strapped, and he broke his hand, so he had to cancel all his summer gigs.

In short, The Collapse is based on real events, even though those events had not yet taken place at the time of recording, like some kind of self-fulfilling prophecy. Luckily, this is Pajaro Sunrise, so no drama is too big for a bit of gallows humour. "We might as well sing to the collapse of everything", sings he on the title track, over a rather chipper melody.

That contrast is one of the noticeable features on The Collapse: sombre lyrics accompanied by reasonably cheerful music. A lot of that has to do with Bart Davenport playing on and co-producing the record - he adds a different colour to the sound. It's Pajaro Sunrise, Jim, but not as we know it. A long-time fan of 'El Barto''s music, Yuri reckons his guitars act like a switch of some sort of time machine that always takes you to a better time. And let's not forget the studio. Situated on the idyllic beach in the southern Spanish city of Tarifa, from where you can see Africa, the Sagrista family-run Punta Paloma studio has a unique vibe, something Bart Davenport had experienced a few years earlier, when he recorded the wonderful Incarnations album for Lovemonk.

So there you have it: had he had a choice, Yuri would probably have avoided the self-fulfilling prophecy part of the story, but the mind acts in mysterious ways, and without that we may not have had this beautiful album. Everything's in the right place.

Boz Boorer ist zurück mit einem grandiosen, neuen Soloalbum "Age Of Boom" - sein erstes "echtes" Studioalbum seit über zehn Jahren, mit zahlreichen hochkarätigen musikalischen Gästen! Boz Boorer kann man durchaus als eines der musikalischen Epizentren der britischen Musikszene bezeichnen: So ist der Gitarrist und Produzent weltweit vielen Indie-Rock-Fans sowohl als langjähriger Co-Songwriter, Gitarrist und musikalischer Regisseur von Morrissey bekannt, als auch als Gründungsmitglied der legendären Neo-Rockabilly-Band The Polecats. Ganz nebenbei produziert er vielversprechende Indie-Newcomer, schreibt Songs für dutzende andere Künstler und arbeitet mit langjährigen Weggefährten wie Edwyn Collins oder Adam Ant zusammen. "Age Of Boom" entstand während der letzten vier Jahre in seinem Studio in Portugal und ist so etwas wie ein Querschnitt durch das gesamte musikalische Boz Boorer-Universum. Auf der einen Seite intensiv, energiegeladen und roh bis zum Anschlag, dann wieder stilvoll, melodiös und humorvoll, ganz so wie der Interpret selbst. Rolf Trostels zweites, in Eigenproduktion erstelltes Album "Two Faces" erschien 1982, und damit nur ein Jahr nach dem Debüt "Inselmusik". Während dieses als Grundlage für eine Live-Performance konzipiert war, komponierte und produzierte Trostel die fünf neuen Instrumentaltitel nur für "Two Faces". Die Musik ist nach wie vor klar der Berliner Schule verhaftet, aber ausgereifter und abwechslungsreicher als bei dessen Vorgänger. Klanglich macht sich Trostels gewachsener Instrumentenpark bemerkbar. Während bei "Inselmusik" neben den damals neuartigen Klängen des PPG Wave Computer 360 A und dem zugehörigen Sequenzer nur die Drum-Maschine CR-78 CompuRhythm von Roland zum Einsatz kam und insofern ein ziemlich puristisches Klangbild vorherrschte, wird das Instrumentarium bei "Two Faces" durch den SoloSynthesizer Minimoog und einen String-Synthesizer bereichert. Der CR-78 gilt als erster programmierbarerDrumcomputer; er wurde durch den Phil-Collins-Hit "In The Air Tonight" prägnant in die Popgeschichte eingeführt. Trostel empfand "Two Faces" im Vergleich zu "Inselmusik" als vielseitiger und aggressiver und
"vom Gedanken der Meditation abgewandt, ohne aber ganz auf besinnliche Strukturen zu verzichten".

Originally slated to be a 7' to follow up their self-titled debut, Sonic Youth's Confusion Is Sex blossomed into the band's first album: a brain-bludgeoning, completely fried endeavor of dissonance and disarray, a perfect soundtrack for running from a chain-wielding gang near the SIN Club. This was the sound of 1983 New York City, nothing like the jangly roots of college radio rock starting to formulate in Athens, Georgia. It sounded like no one else on Earth, for that matter. The raw, Wharton Tiers 8-track production is dark, the Kim Gordon- scrawled cover figure art of Thurston Moore is dark, Lee Ranaldo's back cover photo-collage and Catherine Ceresole's crumpled-xeroxed images that adorned the inside are dark. It's an album that moves Sonic Youth forward from their first EP almost by devolving backwards into true ugly, lo-fi primitivity. The bareboned arsenal of junkpile guitars and implementation of alternate tunings was growing, and so were the songs that matched the individual attributes of each instrument: certain ones groan and growl a specific way that the band started to realize itself could become the compositional germ of a song. Herein is the threshold of a new explosion of the band's creativity, replacing the comparatively cleaner buzz of the Sonic Youth EP with guitars that spew fractured, uglier chunks of sound everywhere, held down by menacing minimalist basslines (actually played by Thurston on half of this LP, and for the only time ever on Protect Me You,' Lee) and the brutal-yet-controlled metronomic drumming of Jim Sclavunos, augmented with replacement drummer Bob Bert's notable bashing on Making the Nature Scene' and grotty no-fi live rendition of I Wanna Be Your Dog.' Hearing the crashedwindow intro of Inhuman' and subway-brake screech of The World Looks Red,' you can attest that while Sonic Youth's guitars are not quite yet being utilized in the totally controlled, lyrical fashion seen later on albums like Evol, Daydream Nation et al., they were well aware of the colors and tonalities that were unfolding and the possibilities presented. Also, they were getting a grasp on adding colors to the chaos with tempered, simmering moments like Gordon's Shaking Hell' and Renaldo's chimy, home-taped Lee is Free.' Making the Nature Scene' and The World Looks Red' even toss in glints of hip-hop vocal approach way ahead of its time, albeit through a blender. ABC has its roots in the band Vice Versa, a Sheffield band formed in 1977 by Stephen Singleton and Mark White. They founded their own label, Neutron Records, releasing the EP Music 4. Martin Fry, who wrote the fanzine Modern Drugs, interviewed Vice Versa and shortly afterwards they asked him to join as synthesizer player. Fry accepted and by 1980 the band had evolved into ABC, with Fry becoming lead vocalist.

The Adventures were a rock band formed in Belfast in the 1980s who moved to London where they had hits in the UK Singles Chart during the 1980s.
Released back in 1985, Theodore and Friends' is an album that proves The Adventures were one of the most underrated bands around at that time. Billy Sherwood was a key part of the line-ups which created the YES albums Open Your Eyes, The Ladder and was also part of the Talk tour. He recently mixed the band's Heaven And Earth album and 2 subsequent DVDs.
No Comment was Sherwood's second solo album and has been out of print for many years.
This CD release will be eagerly greeted by YES fans especially in light on Sherwood's recent return to the band in mid-2015.

Since their debut in 2012, the trio has been astounding listeners with music impossible to pin down in a single genre. Instrumental, atmospheric, hypnotic, delicate and wild: Dans Dans tirelessly construct their own musical universe and time and again demonstrate why they are one of the most intriguing bands currently working in Belgium and far beyond.
Although until recently the band was known for their original covers of the work of other artists (Nick Drake, Ennio Morricone, Ornette Coleman, David Bowie, Robert Wyatt, ...), on the fourth album - the blazing, magnificent Sand - nearly all of the compositions are their own. And as always, for these three natural-born musicians, the compositions are merely a jumping-off point for the improvisational exploration of an unheard spectrum of musical landscapes and emotions. Reissue of Gojira's sought after debut album. Originally dubbed Godzilla, after the green film star with an equally huge reputation as the newfound band's sound, the brothers Duplantier, guitarist/vocalist Joe and drummer Mario, and fellow Frenchmen Jean Michel Labadie on bass and Christian Andreu on guitar, quickly released several demos, ultimately changing the band's name and independently releasing the first GOJIRA album : "Terra Incognita", in 2001, offering up a brief glimpse into the giant GOJIRA would eventually become through persistent hard work and years of toiling in the metal underground.
According to a text on the album inlay,"Terra Incognita" title ( Latin for "unknown land" ) refers to the area inside of each man, where, according to Hindu legend, Brahma hid the divinity that he had taken from humanity for the punishment of its abuse. The man posing on the album cover is guitarist Christian Andreu. GOJIRA now snags its first Hard Rock Albums chart-topper with their new album "Magma" ( June 2016 ) , becoming the first French act to reach the nearly nine-year-old chart's peak. The set debuts with 17,000 copies sold. Ian Hunter (Mott the Hoople) teamed up with his old mate Mick Ronson (The Spiders from Mars) to record this album in June 1989.
Sadly this was to be their very last album together as Ronson had been diagnosed with liver cancer. This critically acclaimed album was originally made available for the first time in 10 years and this is now a keenly awaited re-press.

2016 saw Kula Shaker back in the charts with A thrilling sold out tour including a sold out ROUNDHOUSE simultaneous with the release of K2.0. The album was subsequently enhanced with an additional track entitled '2Styx'.
