Following the release of two stellar EPs 'The Night Terrors' and 'Lightless' through Unstable Ape Records, The Night Terrors' debut full length album Back To Zero was released in April 2009 through Australian label EXO Records. Back To Zero was reissued for release in Europe/USA/Japan through TRENDKILL Recordings (France) in September 2010, and then reissued on double 12 coloured vinyl through Homeless Records (AUS).

1986, an American diner at night. Janet Jackson, her shoulders jerking to a steely boom-bap beat from within a buttoned-up blue satin blouse and waistcoat, is staring down a neglectful lover with an intense, unforgiving, defiant fire in her eyes. He used to treat her right, she explains over fizzing electro-pop keyboards, as dancers bolt their way across the diner's faded booths, painted jukeboxes and milkshake spills. But, the Indiana-born mega star then asks - "what have you done for me lately"

Fans today could be forgiven for asking the same question of Jackson that she posed in that famous video. It's been eight long years since her last album, 2008's 'Discipline', after all. Instead, though, as the world gears itself for feverously anticipated new album 'Unbreakable', the 49-year-old's power and influence as a zero-bullshit, don't-mess, honey-voiced R&B queen remains strong - as 'Dear Janet', a new tribute album featuring cult indie experimenters Dirty Beaches, Karl Blau, Marker Starling, Tune-Yards and many more goes to show.

Swapping the pearlescent productions and siren synths of Jackson's biggest and best tracks for rawer, more lo-fi spins, the record is an affectionate, intimate ode to a soul-pop master that was born one night in Domino innovators Dirty Projectors' Brooklyn apartment. "I mentioned to Dave Longstreth, Amber Coffman and Angel Deradoorian that I was always more attached to Janet's Prince-inspired sound than her brother's," remembers compilation curator Jan Lankisch of German label Tomlab.

A few months later, a record was ready of Janet Jackson songs as had never been heard before. Dirty Projectors' Deradoorian contributes the opening track, stripping 1986 album 'Control' single 'Pleasure Principle' of its dancey keytar slink to its emotional essentials, resulting in an echoing piano ballad. Drag City maverick Scout Niblett injects 'Nasty' with woozy atmospherere and drones, to the point of delirium, in sharp contrast to the sunshine bossa nova chill of Marker Starling's take on 'Young Love'. Dark disco kings Batsch meanwhile, provide one of Lankisch's favourite covers on the compilation: "Their version of 'Together Again' reminds me of New Order in parts."

Jackson, as Lanksch points out, went out of her way to carve her own niche when emerging as an artist in the early 1980s, in the shadow of her monumentally succesful elder sibling. "She wanted to be different from Michael in any way she could. MJ was huge, the big star. Janet was just the little sister. It was a great challenge for her, to find her own way in the music business." In a way, then, it's only fitting that the cover version on 'Dear Janet' from some of the brightest names in the American and European indie underground, take Jackson's songs on intrepid journeys into other genres and sounds.

First ever vinyl reissue of the self-titled Collusion LP originally pressed in tiny quantity on the custom SRT label back in 1971. Limited to 500 numbered units on 180 gram vinyl housed in a beautiful gatefold sleeve.

Collusion was a Dagenham based six piece progressive group active during the early 70s that featured twin guitars and interwoven male/female vocals to great effect combining hard-edged prog-rock with folk and jazz elements.

Highlights of the LP include the stunning 'Bluebirds' and epic 'Sweetbread Line' composed by lead guitarist Mick West which reveal the band's natural ability to shift effortlessly from a slow tempo to jagged and complex time changes with intricate arrangements.

Copious pictures and memorabilia plus extensive band history penned by vocalist Tony Davison and guitarist Mick West (sadly, very recently deceased) with extra comment from their manager & notable promoter Darrol Edwards who was very much part of the underground scene and who ran the famous Growling Budgie Club and, later, Manchester's famous Stoneground.

Remastered by Eric van Wonterghem and comes with an insert in a limited LP edition of 500 vinyl copies , no re-press.

Mice). 'These recordings were made during sessions for the A Light Far Out album,' says singer/guitarist Caesar.
'Clouds Disco is about the burgeoning Glasgow music scene of the early 1980s and our perceived place within it. The
idea was to capture a little bit of the atmosphere of the time for the present day, rather than be nostalgic. Clouds Disco
was an actual venue, later renamed Satellite City, which in turn became the title of an early Orange Juice song.'

"GOD was a giant exploding quagmire of a calamity of a band, but they had their bad days as well. At their best, which was neither live nor in the studio maybe it was during band meetings GOD sounded like a ten train smash-up in Tin Railroad Town, which was hilarious, because they were trying to encapsulate stadium rock at least half of the time and the "monster riffs" and they had those, and some sneakily grabby songs as well often sounded like a kids' playgroup had broken into the bottle recycling bin combined with that siren song of crap amps buzzing and wheezing you sometimes hear just before they blow up. You just looked at those guys, and even listened to them, and you just knew right away they were the coolest thing going a buncha hairy brat kids doing KISS meets punk, heads down and blasting away like a mining company that's just been given the green light on a few hectares of unexploited desert. GØGGS is the brainchild of Chris Shaw (Ex-Cult) and Ty Segall. In the planning stages for a long time, the band finally came together in 2015 in Segall's Los Angeles studio to record an album, which will be released next year. Other participants in the project include Cory Hanson (Wand), Charles Moothart (Fuzz) and Mikal Cronin. This single features an original from the album on the A-side and an Iggy Pop cover on the B-side that's exclusive to the 7-inch.

Blues rockers Hidden Charms have announced the upcoming release of their latest single Love You Cause You're There. The track serves as the perfect follow-up to their hugely successful debut double AA side single Dreaming Of Another Girl/Long Way Down, produced by Shel Talmy (The Who/The Kinks).

Comprising of Vincent Davies (singer, guitarist & bassist), Ranald Macdonald (co-singer, keyboardist, guitarist & bassist), Josh Lewis (guitarist & bassist) and Oscar Robertson (drummer), the London quartet have already supported the likes of Benjamin Booker, Hanni El Khatib and X Ambassadors, held a four-week Club NME Koko residency and received extensive airplay from the likes of Zane Lowe (Beats 1), Annie Mac (Radio 1), Huw Stephens (Radio 1) and John Kennedy (XFM) since forming in April 2014.

The Londoners' sound, both thrillingly new and yet drenched in musical history, has already earned them plenty of plaudits and with their debut EP due out early next year, Love You Cause You're There should provide a welcome taste of things to come.

South London quartet Inheaven have already got Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas' seal of approval, releasing their debut single 'Regeneration' on his Cult Records label in the US earlier this year (the track got a release on up-and-coming new label AMF Records over here). Now they're following it up with an even more promising cut in 'Bitter Town'. It's a dose of gloomy '80s-indebted indie rock, recalling Jesus And Mary Chain and Echo & The Bunnymen in its expansive atmosphere and echoing vocals.

Jarvis Street Revue's only album (1970), "Mr.Oil Man," is an absolute heavy psychedelic monster that leaves no one who hears it untouched by it's sheer avalanche of psychedelic heaviness, wasted acid leads and great vocals. After recording it, Jarvis Street Revue toured for three months. 'We were treated like gods,' Jarvis leader and Neil Young running mate Tom Horricks said. The band did a cross-Canada tour to promote the album but unfortunately for them, as was often the case in those days, the album was not released until after the tour. So much for stardom. The band soon broke up. But tucked somewhere in the band's murky history were recording sessions that produced three stupendous psychedelic singles, plus tracks for an unreleased second album, 'Strands of Time." Sure, those singles and strays appeared on our Jarvis Street Revue CD, but most tracks make their vinyl debut here; as for the incredible, rare singles, they've never been compiled until this very moment! Insert includes band history, photos, and images of sheet music for several songs.

Produced by Wood's company Spectrevision, COOTIES is already shaping up to be a modern cult classic, not least through its infectious music.

Composed by the avant-garde project Kreng (aka Belgian musician Pepjin Caudron) the score for COOTIES reflects a number of influences, from Bernard Herrmann's work for strings to spaghetti westerns through a trip hop filter set to 'extreme foreboding'. Kreng's approach will surprise and intrigue, compared to many scores of its ilk. While it's synth-heavy, there are key roles for haunting vocal effects and violins, mixing both aesthetically beautiful and madcap cues to create waves of emotionally and viscerally powerful tunes. COOTIES stands proud alongside - and in some cases above - the crop of contemporary horror scores. Relax, put the needle on the wax, and let this record infect your ears. You'll be voracious for more.

Lou Reed's latest collection, Rock and Roll Heart wasn't a showcase for the usual diverse aspects of Lou Reed's musical outpouring, moreover, it was a shower of bullets, shot at any given interested targets. Unfortunately for Reed, most of the shots missed, but we can be certain that the gun was loaded, what with, is up for countless debate. His Boston show from October 1976 at the Orpheum Theater drew the usual suspects with a snapshot of young punks and nearly crossed the line at missing out a performance of Heroin which when played, differed remarkably from the more familiar versions rolled out on stage since the early days with Nico et al and Transformer. WBCN-FM's presence warranted expectation that maybe Reed didn't necessarily want or respect, but Reed's vision is rarely blurred. The familiar resolute figure took the stage with the singular demeanour he was authorised to parade, but with the quiet seduction and subdued authority that always set him apart.

With a full-length release, Midwest Farmer's Daughter, in the works for 2016 from Third Man Records, this is just the start of good things to come from Margo Price.

This unique show offers up a slice of QMS history with most of the band following other pursuits shortly after. Valenti carried on his solo career while Cipollina took Olsen into various offshoot projects. Duncan relocated to Hawaii, Elmore dropped into the background and Lewis ventured deep into the disco scene, the conclusion of a period that had promised so much more. Many of the shows on the Solid Silver 'comeback' tour of 1975/76 brought Quicksilver back into the club scene, playing in more intimate surroundings such as My Father's Place in Roslyn, New York. It harked back to their days as psychedelic protagonists from San Francisco. Their appearance here in 1976 reflects times gone by and allows the band to enjoy their respected repertoire that had brought them the deserved attention in the late 1960s.

Tight vocal harmonies, ambitious musical arrangements, and diverse influences meet on both sides of this record in a pairing hat doesn't disappoint. A song for the party and one for the comedown.
The She's light things up with their ever-expanding range: the group that got its start in middle school brings their steadily amassed stylistic and dynamic breadth to 'Cherry Red,' produced by Patrick Brown at Different Fur. It bursts open with with a driving surf beat cut with laser-guided vocal counterpoint. Aggressive Go-Go's, The Breeders at the beach, Shonen Knife in the Golden State—call it what you want, it's irresistible. After winding through a dizzying set of changes, the She's drop the beat into a half-time dream that would make the Shangri-La's smile, but also calls to mind English guitar bands of the '90s, a reference reinforced by singer Hannah Valente musing about
painting her lips the classic color that gives this track its name. Then it's back to the beat!
Next, enter the restorative trance of 'Heliotrope' by The Dry Spells (members of Sonny & The Sunsets, Jonas Reinhardt, Citay), produced by Tim Cohen (The Fresh and Onlys / Magic Trick) and mixed by Mikey Young (Total Control / Eddy Current Suppression Ring).
The track opens with delicate guitar lines reminiscent of Jefferson
Airplane's best slow-psych (think 'Today') spilling from a wash of
cymbals. Aquarian Yes. Wishy-washy No way, dude: A Fleetwood-McVie rhythm tightens this track, clean, warm and hypnotic under vocal harmonies that rise and rise and rise some more. Enter the guitar solo—nuanced, spacious and moody, it slides across a Fairport violin.
This song is not, however, without its grittier influences. The bass
line is biting as it is melodic. Sinewy and driving like a fretless Television, it coalesces with guitar and vocals into one final pitch-perfect exaltation before collapsing into the fragile sustain of a tremolo'd guitar.

The Wolfmanhattan Project is a brand new band featuring Mick Collins, Kid Congo and Bob Bert. Their debut single sounds like the sort of trashy, swampy, sleazy, damaged music one would expect from the gentlemen involved. An album will follow soon(ish).

Yoko Ono and The Flaming Lips re-recorded the classic John & Yoko song Happy Xmas (War Is Over) for a 2014 online playlist. It is now available on limited edition 7" vinyl. On the B side is Atlas Eets Christmas, a 2013 Christmas collaboration between Yoko and The Lips, previously only sold as a limited edition EP at their 2013 New Years show in Oklahoma City.

In 2005, 'Telstar' titled a musical telling the Joe Meek story, a film of the same name premiering in
2009. The original Tornados, minus Caddy, had briefly re-formed in 1975 to re-cut their greatest hit, but
admitted they could not recapture the Meek magic. You, however, have this wonderfully evocative slice
of Sixties instrumental music from the masters of the genre to enjoy again and again - and if that wasn't
enough, it's on premium quality vinyl, as intended.

Viel ist passiert, seit Dänemarks Vorzeige-Rocker Go Go Berlin vor fast zwei Jahren ihr Debütalbum "New Gold" veröffentlichten: mehr als 200 Konzerte und Showcases spielten die Jungs in Europa, China, Indien und den USA, wurden überall auf der Welt von Musikkritikern abgefeiert, verbuchten z.T. massives Radio-Airplay (u.a. für die Single "Raise Your Head") und traten sowohl in ihrer Heimat als auch in Deutschland in großen Fernsehshows auf (unvergessen: ihre Performance im "Germany's Next Topmodel"-Finale). Mit "Electric Lives" erscheint nun die erste Single aus ihrem gleichnamigen zweiten Album, welches am 21.08.2015 erscheint.

"Electric Lives" wurde in den legendären Hansa Studios in Berlin aufgenommen, wo bereits David Bowie, U2, Depeche Mode und Iggy Pop einige ihrer wichtigsten Alben einspielten. Gemischt wurde der Song vom Schweden Michael Ilbert, der in seiner Karriere bereits mit internationalen Topstars wie The Hives, Katy Perry and Travis arbeitete.

35th ANNIVERSARY VINYL 7'' SINGLE mit raren Single Edits der wichtigsten Songs des fünften Albums des Alan Parsons Project "The Turn Of A Friendly Card" von November 1980, aus dem u.a. "Games People Play", "Snake Eyes" und das namensgebende "The Turn Of A Friendly Card" als Singles ausgekoppelt wurden. Recorded in Seattle on the Doors' final tour, just over a year before front man Jim Morrison's untimely death, one of the most influential groups of the 1960s rolled into Seattle for what would become a legendary show. Morrison is in fine form, a perfect blend of controlled brilliance and unhinged madness, as he toys with the audience, always just a step away from complete pandemonium. Anchored by keyboardist Ray Manzarek, this is one of the most unique groups ever in American rock & roll, performing in front of 1000s of ravenous fans. Classic. Brannten Schnüre is an experimental dark folk group out of Würzburg, Germany. Christian Schoppik composed and played all the music, Katie Rich whispers, recites and sings. Together they make astoundingly beautiful folk with a rich instrumentation leaning towards the atonal spectrum. Instrumental wanderings stand alongside Nico-esque poetry tales. Christian plays the accordeon and in some songs guitar and flute. Inspired by hierophants like Nový Svet and David Jackman, solemn song fragments (a lot of old greek rembetiko-recordings) are modified and looped, with additional instruments and voices being integrated later on. Their music has been described as 'surreal folkcollage' and 'german hauntology'.

With the emergence of Schoppik's second project, a dada cabaret called Agnes Beil in 2010, Brannten Schnüre moved closer to the song structures of its frivolous sibling. The songs of Schoppik's latest creation Sommer im Pfirsichhain are further accompanied by a female singing voice, lending the pieces the voluptuous quality of a stickily tense midsummer. Sommer Im Pfirsichhain (Summer In The Peachgrove) is the second part of a quartet of releases. The first being Aprilnacht which got released on Sic Sic Tapes last year. Part three Geträumt hab' ich vom Martinszug and part four will follow later.

Reference points are bands like Winter Family and Twinsistermoon. Music etched on folkloric, ritual elements transferred into the 21th century. Also worth mentioning is the hand-drawn artwork which is made by artist Gwénola Carrère.
